Christmas Cheer for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Time for some extra Christmas Cheer!  Don’t you just love this time of year?  Even though it is crazy and rushed, there is always a wonderful excitement in the air.  I used the Merry Cafe stamp set with a little help from the Coffee Cups Framelits, Pretty Pines Thinlets, Swirly Snowflake Thinlets and Seasonal Layers Thinlets Dies, whew!

We have a color challenge this week and since the colors are Gold, Real Red, and Garden Green, I decided to make one more Christmas card!

Stampin' Up! Christmas Cheer-CardiologybyJari

The Whisper White panel was dry embossed with the Softly Falling TIEF and adhered to a panel of Quilted Christmas DSP.  I cut a length of Quilted Christmas 1/4″ Ribbon and wrapped it around the matted panel, then tied a bow.

Next, I die cut the coffee cup and whipped cream from the Coffee Cups Framelits Dies, colored in the edges of the cream with my Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Marker, and adhered it to the top of the cup.  The cup was then popped onto my layered panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I stamped the sentiment with Garden Green and Real Red ink and cut out a circle with one of the Stitched Shapes Dies and matted it onto a Real Red scalloped circle from the Layering Circles Framelits Dies.

From Gold Foil, I die cut a snowflake from the Seasonal Layers Framelits Dies and the swirl from the Swirly Snowflakes Thinlets Dies.  Next, I pulled out the Pretty Pines Thinlets and cut several pine boughs in Garden Green and the berries in Real Red.  Then I began putting all of the parts together with Glue Dots and I added the the sentiment circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The inside sentiment is also from Merry Cafe and was stamped in Real Red ink.  The strip of DSP at the bottom matches the pattern used on the card front.  Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Colorful Fall for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Hi Stampers, ready for fall?  Our colorful color challenge this week is perfect for creating fall cards!

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Colorful Seasons stamp set bundle to create the card  I am sharing today:

Stampin' Up! Colorful Seasons Bundle-Cardiology by Jari

I started by dry embossing a panel of Very Vanilla card stock with the Pinewood Planks Dynamic TIEF, then adhered it to a panel of Early Expresso card stock.  Next, I used my Stamping Sponges and sponged Garden Green and Crushed Curry onto a panel of Very Vanilla.  Then, I stamped the leaf image from Colorful Seasons in VersaMark ink onto the sponged piece, added Copper Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  The leaves were die cut using the Seasonal Layers Thinlets.

A length of 1/4′ Copper Trim was wrapped around the embossed panel and a bow was made with Linen Thread.  I frizzed the ends of the Copper Trim and used a glue dot to secure it to the front. The top and bottom leaves were popped on with Stampin’ Dimensionals, and the center one was adhered with glue.  The sentiment was stamped in Early Expresso ink, then cut out with a banner die from Bunch of Banners Framelits.  I die cut an extra banner in Crushed Curry and adhered it to either end, then popped it onto the center of the card with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Finally, the art panel was adhered to the Crushed Curry base and three Glitter Enamel Dots added for some bling.

The small leaf image was inked in Garden Green, then stamped off twice onto scrap paper.  I used a corner of my Crushed Curry ink pad and rolled the stamp over it and then stamped it onto the Very Vanilla panel.  It almost looks real, doesn’t it?

A list of stamping supplies and card stock cuts are at the end of my post.
