Stampin’ Up! Rose Wonder for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Rose Wonder stamp set from Stampin’ Up! to create the card I am sharing with you today.  I was inspired by a card I saw in the 2017-2018 Annual Catalog and knew I wanted to try it.  My challenge was to fit in the colors we are working with today!

Color challenge for Happy Inkin' Thursday

I had no problem with the Old Olive and the Calypso Coral, but adding the Pool Party, well, I had to get a little creative!

Stampin' Up! Rose Wonder-Cardiology by Jari

I started with a panel of watercolor paper and did a water color wash in Pool Party ink using my Aqua Painter.  Next, I stamped the large rose image from Rose Wonder in Versa Mark ink onto a panel of Vellum card stock.  Then, I sprinkled it with White Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I pulled out my Old Olive and Calypso Coral Stampin’ Write Markers and colored in the rose on the back side of the Vellum.  Some parts were colored in darker than others, which gives it some dimension.  It takes a little while for the ink to dry, so if you try this, make sure you wait before adhering the vellum to anything.

While waiting for the water colored paper and vellum to dry, I stamped the sentiment, also from Rose Wonder, in Pool Party onto Whisper White.  The sentiment was die cut with a die from the Layering Ovals Framelits and matted with a little larger scalloped oval from the same collection of framelits.

Very carefully, I dotted small dots of liquid glue onto the back of the rose and leaves (along the white lines) and adhered it to the water colored panel.  If you’re not careful, the glue will show through and look glossy when dry.  The art panel was then adhered to a panel of Old Olive with liquid glue.  I cut a length of Pool Party Shimmer ribbon, notched either end and adhered it to the art panel with Tear & Tape Adhesive.  Next, I popped the art panel onto the Whisper White thick card stock with dimensionals, then added the sentiment ovals with dimensionals.  Three pearls were then added for some bling.

A complete list of supplies and card stock cuts will be at the end of my post.

Now, for more of the hop!  Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Words and Rose Wonder

Today’s card uses Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Words and Rose Wonder stamps as well as my Botanical Builder Framelits Dies to deliver an inspirational card for someone special.

Watercolor Words & Rose Wonder

The beauty of the Botanical Builder Dies is that you can do flower colors and leaf shapes for any season!  I chose some spring colors with the Botanical Gardens DSP (retiring), Mint Macaron and  Daffodil Delight.
Watercolor Words & Rose Wonder

I started by cutting a panel of Whisper White and the floral DSP the same size (3 7/8 x 5 1/8), then used the long leaf die to die cut the Whisper White panel.  Next, I stamped the sentiment from Watercolor Words in Basic Black ink onto the bottom of the white panel.  Then, I adhered the two panels together with liquid glue.  I really like using this glue when you need to position something to very carefully line it up!

Then, I pulled out the flower dies and cut them out using Mint Macaron,  Daffodil Delight and Basic Black card stocks.

Watercolor Words & Rose Wonder

I framed the art panel with a little larger panel of Mint Macaron, using liquid glue, then popped it onto the Daffodil Delight card base with dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, I stamped one of the sentiments from the Rose Wonder stamp set in Basic Black ink and added a few stamped flowers to match the DSP.  The flowers were from the Sale-a-Bration Botanicals for You stamp set.

Watercolor Words & Rose Wonder

Watercolor Words and Rose Wonder stamps will not be retiring this year, so you have another year to use these great stamp sets!  The Envelope Liners Framelits are retiring, so snatch them up soon!

All About Everything for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

HappyStampersBlogPostBanner

Hello again, it’s time for another Happy Stampers Hop and I am sharing All About Everything from the April Paper Pumpkin kit, with a little help from the Rose Wonder Bundle 🙂

All About Everything

And here is our sketch:

12299132_1305624209464151_5553420553848870846_n

What a fun stamp set- All About Everything.  It was an extra stamp set in the April Paper Pumpkin kit to commemorate the sale of one million Paper Pumpkin kits!  Wow!  I hope you are a PP subscriber so that you received it!  I also had a lot of help with the Rose Garden Thinlets and the English Garden DSP (retiring).

All About Everything

Since there is not much stamping on the outside, I made the inside resemble the outside with stamps from All About Everything, Rose Wonder and Garden in Bloom (the bee).
All About Everything

Finally, I dressed up the envelope with the Envelope Liners Framelits (retiring) and more English Garden DSP:

All About Everything

Tips and tricks on making this card will be at the end of the post.

Card Tips and Tricks:

**Start with a Mossy Meadow card base

**Stamp the sentiment from All About Everything on a panel of Blushing Bride and attach the layer of Garden in Bloom with glue

**Die cut a Blushing Bride rose, cutting off the leaves, then die cut leaves in Old Olive and cut them apart until you find the right combination for your rose.  Attach the leaves to the rose with a fine tip glue pen.

**Cut a length of ribbon and notch one end.  Punch a hole in the layer of DSP and Blushing Bride for the brad, and then do the same in the ribbon.  Attach the ribbon to the back with Tear and Tape and to the front with a small amount of the glue from the fine tip pen.  Add the brad to the front of the card.

**Add glue from the fine tip glue pen to the rose and leaves and place it on the front of the card.

**Fussy cut a bee from the English Garden DSP and attach with dimensionals.

**Attach the art piece to the card base with dimensionals

**Stamp the rose and leaves in Blushing Bride onto a panel of Whisper White; then stamp the bee from Garden in Bloom in Soft Suede and color in with Crushed Curry; stamp the sentiment from All About Everything in Mossy Meadow glue this panel onto a panel of Blushing Bride and finally to the card base.

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Blooms for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Birthday Blooms for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop March 31st

Welcome once again to our weekly hop. My share for today is from Birthday Blooms from Stampin’ Up! We have a sketch challenge this week.

Happy Stampers Blog Hop Birthday Blooms

I have had this set, Birthday Blooms, for a while, but had not used it.  Wow, it is another favorite from Stampin’ Up!  And, I especially love how it looks with the Birthday Bouquet DSP.

Birthday Blooms

My card was really quick and easy to put together.  I just stamped the Watermelon Wonder card base with the large flower image from Birthday Blooms in Watermelon Wonder ink, then stamped the dots randomly around the flower (also in Watermelon Wonder).  I cut a panel of Birthday Bouquet DSP that I attached to a panel of Mossy Meadow with multipurpose liquid glue, then adhered it to the card base with more glue.

Stampin' Up! Birthday Blooms

I stamped the banner from the Rose Wonder stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink and used the coordinating die from the Rose Garden Thinlets Dies to cut it out.  The sentiment, from Birthday Blooms, was then stamped in Watermelon Wonder ink.

Stampin' Up! Birthday Blooms

A small piece of a Tea Lace Doily was attached to the banner, then I added dimensionals and popped it onto the card front.  Some  Pearl Basic Jewels were then added for a final touch for the front.

Stampin' Up! Birthday Blooms

I stamped the same flower image from Birthday Blooms on the inside using Watermelon Wonder ink on the Whisper White panel, then stamped the image from Rose Wonder in Mossy Meadow.  Along the bottom is a strip of Watermelon Wonder washi tape.  I framed the artwork piece with a panel of Mossy Meadow from the Designer Series Paper Stacks.

Card stock cuts will be at the end of my post.

And now, please head over to the talented Kristi Gray’s blog to see her beautiful creation.  We love to hear from you, so leave us a message as you hop around!
