Halloween Fun for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Hop

Amy's Inkin' Krew Team Blog Hop

Ready for some Halloween fun?  Well, that is the theme of our blog hop this month!  Whether you’re just starting the hop here or have already hopped some, I hope you find some inspiration for your own cards today.  We’re so glad you joined us.  I used the Merry Cafe stamp set and the Spooky Night Designer Series paper to help create my Halloween card for today.

I started by adhering a panel of Very Vanilla to a panel of Basic Black, then I added a narrow strip of the Spooky Night DSP with liquid glue.  This center panel was then adhered to panels of Spooky Night DSP and Pumpkin Pie with liquid glue.

Next, I stamped the coffee cup image from Merry Cafe onto a patterned panel from Spooky Night DSP.  The coffee cup lid was stamped onto Pumpkin Pie, then both cup and lid were cut out with the Coffee Cups Framelits.  The spider web was stamped on the cup and then the sentiment onto a Very Vanilla panel.  Once the sentiment was die cut, I used my Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker to add dotted lines around the perimeter and adhered it to the cup.  The lid was adhered with small dots of liquid glue and the whole cup then added to the panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used my Patterned Pumpkins Thinlets Dies to cut out the open pumpkin and the pumpkin peeking out from the inside, then used my Paper Snips to cut out the other pumpkin, jack-o-lanterns, witch’s hat, cat and even the tiny little spider I added to the coffee cup! Once all of the pieces were cut out, I adhered them with liquid glue and dimensionals. Then, I added the little stars from the pumpkin I cut out that you see here on the inside.

Stampin’ Up! Pick a Pumpkin Bundle

I’m sharing a peek today at the Pick a Pumpkin Bundle from the 2017 Holiday Catalog, which goes live to customers this Friday, September 1st!  Are you excited?  Hopefully you have had time to mark your catalog for your favorites and are counting the hours until you can order.

Stampin' Up! Pick a Pumpkin Bundle-Cardiology by Jari

I think you will like the Pick a Pumpkin stamp set because it also has images to stamp faces onto the pumpkins if you choose to create a Halloween card.  I decided to make a fall card, so I made plain pumpkins.  The pumpkins were stamped in Tangerine Tango and Early Expresso ink was used for the stems.  They were die cut with the Patterned Pumpkin Thinlets Dies.  I also used the dies to cut out the leaves and vines in Garden Green,  two sprigs ,in Garden Green and one sprig and the open pumpkin in Copper Foil. Stampin' Up! One of the sprigs was stamped in VersaMark ink, then sprinkled with Copper Emboss powder and heat embossed before cutting out with the corresponding die.  I adhered a panel of Painted Autumn DSP to a panel of Early Expresso card stock,  Then, I adhered a panel of Very Vanilla card stock to a panel of Early Expresso card stock and decided where I wanted to stamp the sentiment.  This sentiment is from the Seasonal Lanterns stamp set (available September 1st) and was stamped in Early Expresso ink.

The DSP band was adhered to the Very Vanilla/Early Expresso panel and then a length of Burlap Ribbon was adhered to the front and back with Tear & Tape Adhesive.  Next, I looped a length of Copper Thread and adhered it to the medium sized pumpkin with several glue dots.  The Copper pumpkin was added first, then I began to build the other elements using Stampin’ Dimensionals or dabs of Liquid Glue. Once all of the parts were adhered, I popped the art panel onto the Tangerine Tango card base with more dimensionals.

The inside was left plain for writing a message.
