Stampin’ Up! Basket Bunch for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

I used the Stampin’ Up! Basket Bunch Bundle to create a Happy Spring card to share with you today!

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Stampin' Up! Basket Bunch Happy Spring by Cardiology by Jari

This week, we have a color challenge with Crushed Curry, Emerald Envy and Crumb Cake.

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop Color Challenge

I started with a panel of Festive Birthday DSP that I adhered to a panel of Whisper White.  Then, I cut out two Stitched Shapes Squares, one in Crushed Curry and one in the same Festive Birthday DSP.  I dry fit them onto a panel of Whisper White so that I would know how much room I had for the rest of the pieces I had planned to add.

Next, I stamped the grass image from Basket Bunch in Emerald Envy onto a panel of Whisper White.  Happy Spring was then stamped in the upper right hand corner, also in Emerald Envy.  I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to line the words up because they are single stamps from the Crazy About You stamp set.

My flowers, leaves, and bunnies were stamped next.  Then, I pulled out the Basket Builder Framelits Dies and cut them, the tall grass, and a basket out.  My Whisper White art panel was then adhered to a panel of Emerald Envy. I added the squares with liquid glue and adhered the tall grass to them with more glue.  Two of the flowers were colored a little with a blender pen and some Crushed Curry ink. The basket and white bunny were attached with Dimensionals, while the Crumb Cake bunnies were adhered with liquid glue.

One of the Lace Doilies was adhered to the Festive Birthday DSP panel with liquid glue, then the art panel popped on with Dimensionals.  A small bow was attached to the basket handle with a glue dot, and some Enamel Shapes added to the flower centers.  The inside has a plain Whisper White panel with a little strip of the matching DSP attached to the bottom.  And there you have it, a Happy Spring card. I hope you are experiencing a little spring like weather wherever you are!

A complete list of Stampin’ Up! Supplies used in creating my card as well as card stock cuts will be at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Basket of Succulents for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Oh So Succulent Bundle from Stampin’ Up! to create my Basket of Succulents card to share with you today.

Stampin' Up! Oh So Succulent Basket Cardiology by Jari

Here is the sketch for the week:

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I started by adhering two different patterns of the Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper to a panel of Sweet Sugarplum Glimmer Paper (only available during Sale-A-Bration!).  Next, I wrapped a length of Sweet Sugarplum Ruched Ribbon around both panels adhering it with Tear & Tape Adhesive.

Stampin' Up! Oh So Succulent Basket for Mother's Day by Cardiology by Jari

Then, I sponged a Lace Doily with some Sweet Sugarplum ink, cut it in half and adhered it to the left center.  I pulled out my Window Box Thinlets and created the basket bottom in Tip Top Taupe card stock with the scalloped die.  To add some interest to the basket, I also die cut the other flat die which created the strips used to make the ridges on the basket.

Stampin' Up! Oh So Succulent Basket by Cardiology by Jari

All of the succulents in the basket were stamped twice because this is a two-step stamp set.  The first stamping was full strength, which created the outline of the succulent.  The second layer was stamped off once onto scrap paper before actually stamping onto my outlined succulent.  I used combinations of Old Olive, Mint Macaron, Sweet Sugarplum and Calypso Coral inks.  The Happy Mother’s Day sentiment was stamped in Versa Mark and sprinkled with White Emboss Powder and heat embossed.  I used the small banner die from the Popcorn Box Thinlets to cut it out.

Stampin' Up! Oh So Succulent Basket

I used part of the sentiment from Remarkable You for the inside of my card.  (The word And at the beginning of the stamp was left off.)  A few more succulents were added to the bottom along with another strip of the Succulent Garden DSP.

All of the products used to create this card as well as the card stock cuts in inches will be at the end of the post.

Stampin’ Up! Tasty Trucks for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I used Tasty Trucks,  from the Stampin’ Up! Sale-A-Bration flyer, for my share for our blog hop today.  This food truck is so cute and I love its versatility!  And, it was FREE!

Trucks

 Here is our color challenge:

Happy Inkin' Thursday color challenge

These colors are really fun, and just happen to be included in the Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series paper.  So that part was pretty easy.  I decided to use the Tasty Trucks stamp set from the Sale-A-Bration flyer because I think it is so cute.  I started by stamping the truck in Basic Black Archival ink onto a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Then, I pulled out my Crumb Cake, Watermelon Wonder and Pool Party ink pads and a Blender Pen.  I pressed down on the lids quite a bit before opening so that some of the ink would transfer to the top cover.  Then, I used this ink to “color” in the truck with my blender pen.

TrucksNext, I die cut the truck image with one of the largest circles in the Layering Circles Framelits collection.  The Watermelon Wonder frame was die cut with the largest Scalloped Circle Framelits die and attached with liquid glue.  I stamped another awning from the truck image and two sets of flags.  Once they were colored with my blender pen and ink, I fussy cut them out.  The awning was attached with small pieces of Dimensionals, and the Pool Party flags added with a little dab of liquid glue.  The popsicles were cut out of the Tasty Treats DSP and added with Dimensionals.

Trucks

I noticed the wheels needed some hubcaps, so I added two Pool Party Enamel Shapes to finish off the truck.  The sentiment was stamped in Basic Black Archival ink and die cut with the smallest banner in the Bunch of Banners Framelits Dies.  A second banner was cut in Pool Party, cut in half and attached to either end of the Whisper White one  with liquid glue.  The card base is Watermelon Wonder with panels of Pool Party and Tasty Treats Specialty DSP layered and attached with Dimensionals.  A strip of Watermelon Wonder striped card stock from Tasty Treats and two banners from another pattern in the Tasty Treats DSP were added with liquid glue and the art panel and sentiment panel popped on with Dimensionals.

Trucks

For the inside, I added a strip of the Watermelon Wonder stripe onto a panel of Whisper White and left room for a handwritten note.

A complete list of supplies and card stock cuts in inches for my Tasty Trucks card will be at the end of my post.

Window Shopping for Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Window Shopping Bundle to create a clean and simple card for our blog hop today!

Window

And here is our sketch for the week:

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop sketch

I started with a panel of Whisper White card stock and die cut the large die from the Window Box Thinlets a little below the center.  Then, I cut a panel of Blooms & Bliss DSP and attached it behind the cut out area with a little liquid glue.

Window

A length of Mint Macaron Sheer Linen Ribbon was adhered to the right side of the art panel by adding a little Tear & Tape Adhesive to the front and back.  Then, I adhered the panel to a little larger panel of Island Indigo card stock so that only the right side peeked out a little.  My next step was to adhere the whole thing to the Whisper White card stock base with Dimensionals.

Window

I stamped Thinking of You,  found in the Window Shopping stamp set, with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with White Emboss Powder.  I used my banner die from the Gift Card Envelope and Trims Thinlets to cut it out, then added some loops of Silver Metallic Thread to the end with a couple of Glue Dots.  One of the Falling In Love Embellishments was also adhered with Glue Dots and all that was left of the front was to pop the banner on with Dimensionals.

The inside has a Whisper White panel with a small strip of the Blooms & Bliss DSP used under the front cut out adhered to the bottom to leave room for a longer note.

And, there you have it, a CAS card for you today!  A complete list of supplies and card stock cuts in inches is located at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Best Birds for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday

It’s Thursday again!  Wow, the weeks roll around quickly, don’t they?  I used the Stampin’ Up! Best Birds Bundle for my share today.  This set is found in the Annual Catalog, but it is new to me.  I have had it for a few months, but have just not gotten around to using it.  Crazy, right?  Besides saving 10% when you order the Best Birds and Birds & Blooms Thinlets Dies, the stamps are photopolymer, which are my favorite style of stamps to work with!

Here is our color challenge this week:

Best Birds Color challenge

And, my card:

Best Birds

The branches from Best Birds, were stamped in Early Expresso ink on a panel of Shimmery White card stock.  Next, I stamped the bird image on another panel of Shimmery White and began to color it with a blender pen and Peekaboo Peach, then some Bermuda Bay.  When I was finished coloring, I used the Birds & Blooms Thinlets Dies to cut out the branches and the bird.  I stamped the single flower and the flower and blossom images in Early Expresso onto a panel of Peekaboo Peach and die cut them, also.

Best Birds

The background stamp is also from Best Birds, and was stamped in Early Expresso on Shimmery White card stock. I actually stamped it off two times before stamping on the art panel because I did not want it to overpower the scene. The top two branches were adhered to the art panel with liquid glue and the bird and his branch were popped on with dimensionals.  I stamped the sentiment onto a panel of Peekaboo Peach in Early Expresso and die cut it with one of the Popcorn Box Thinlets Dies.  One extra banner was cut with Early Expresso card stock to add behind the sentiment banner.

Best Birds

I stamped the other bird image from Best Birds first in Early Expresso ink, then filled in as before quickly blending some Peekaboo Peach and Bermuda Bay inks over his body.

A complete list of supplies as well as card stock cuts for this card may be found at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Sunshine Wishes Valentine for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday

Happy Inkin’ Thursday, we are back with a new name, but, with the same players!  Today, I am sharing a card using the Sunshine Wishes Thinlets Dies, some help from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlets, the Sweet & Sassy Framelits and the Sealed With Love Bundle.

Our color challenge this week is Real Red, Whisper White and Gold…

Sunshine Wishes for Happy Inkin' thursday

….so, I made a Valentine:

Sunshine Wishes

My card front has no stamping, but with the help of the Sunshine Wishes Thinlets, I die cut the love sentiment in Gold Glimmer Paper. In fact, I cut out two just to give it a little more pop.  This paper is really thick, so you need to run it through the big shot several times for the die to cut it all out.  I die cut the heart from the Love Notes Framelits Dies in Real Red. I cut some of the letter “o” off before attaching the heart to the rest of the word with liquid glue.

Sunshine Wishes

The large Whisper White heart was die cut with the Sweet & Sassy Framelits Dies and placed in the Happy Heart TIEF, then dry embossed.  Next, I die cut the arrow and “open” heart using my Love Notes Framelits Dies and more Gold Glimmer Paper.  I pulled out the die from my Mini Treat Bag Thinlets that creates a line of hearts for the banner.  Again, I had to run it through the Big Shot several times because that Glimmer Paper is so thick.  The small hearts were popped out so that I could use them on the front.  One end of the banner was notched using my Banner Triple Punch.

Sunshine Wishes

I pulled out a piece of my Pop of Pink DSP for the other banner and also used the Banner Triple Punch to notch one end.  To add just a little more interest, I cut a length of Gold Metallic Thread and wound it around, attaching it with dimensionals before popping the large heart on the front, also with dimensionals.

sunshine Wishes

For my inside sentiment, I went back to my Sealed With Love stamp set, stamping two of the images in Real Red.

A complete list of supplies for my Sunshine Wishes Valentine and card stock cuts in inches are at the end of my post.

Now, on to the rest of the hop.  Kristi is next in line, so make sure to check out her creation for today!
