Jari Francis, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

Stampin’ Up! Custom Tee Bundle of Fun

My share for you today is a fun duo from the Custom Tee Bundle from Stampin’ Up! Yesterday, several of my team members from Amy’s Inkin’ Krew got together for our quarterly in person meeting and made these adorable Tee Shirt cards.  I’ve been posting a lot lately about joining Stampin’ Up! as a demo and explaining how much fun our team has together.  Well, yesterday did not disappoint!  For a rainy, cold Sunday afternoon, it seemed warm and sunny with my fellow stampers.  Several of us live in the greater Atlanta area so we make the trip fairly easily (my drive is only an hour and a half :)), but for those not in the area, they join us on Google Chat.  So, if you are possibly thinking of joining my team, I say just jump on in!  Some of the team are hobby stampers and some are running a  business, but whatever the reason, we all have fun!  Contact me today if you have any questions about becoming a Stampin’ Up Demonstrator, now is the best time to join because of the benefits offered during Sale-A-Bration.  Okay, now for the cards….

Aren’t they fun?  The T-shirt Builder Framelits Dies are so helpful, too!  And, if you hurry, you can get the Designer Tee stamp set for free during Sale-A-Bration for even more fun images for your T-shirts.  The thing I love the most about the Custom Tee stamp set is that it is photopolymer and there are 35 stamps included!

The happy stamper t-shirt card uses Tangerine Tango and Pacific Point for the paper and the inks.  The Georgia Bulldog fans in the room were not too happy when I reminded them these were Florida Gator colors, and of course, I had to do the Gator Chomp a couple of times!  The circle die cut behind the t-shirt was water colored first with a little Pacific Point ink.  The little strip used a a banner is silver foil paper that was snipped at an angle on one end.

Stampin' Up! Custom Tee Bundle Cardiology by Jari

This card uses Smoky Slate, Basic Gray, Very Vanilla and Delightful Dijon card stock and Smoky Slate and Basic Blace archival inks.  The necktie was stamped in Smoky Slate onto the Smoky Slate panel as a background.  Urban Underground Washi Tape is flanking the Basic Gray sentiment strip.  The necktie for the Delightful Dijon shirt was stamped in Smoky Slate and then every other stripe colored in using a blender pen.

Card stock cuts for each Custom Tee card as well as all of the supplies needed to create them will be at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Papillon Potpourri & 2016-2018 In Colors

Happy Saturday!  Hope it’s a stamping Saturday for all of you stampers out there.   Today is the perfect day for stamping where I live because it looks like rain-and I don’t feel like getting soaked.  So, stamp it is!  My share today is using Papillon Potpourri with some of the new In-Colors and a new stamp set from the 2016-2017 Annual Catalog, Thoughtful Banners.

Papillon Potpourri

This was another really quick and easy card, even though I used 4 different stamp sets!  I started with Gorgeous Grunge for the background for my butterflies.  I used Sweet Sugarplum and Flirty Flamingo  ink, (both new In-Colors) on my Whisper White panel to break up the white space.

Papillon Potpourri

Next, I stamped the butterflies from Papillon Potpourri, in Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sugarplum and Peekaboo Peach. I punched them out with the Elegant Butterfly punch and popped them on the Whisper White panel with dimensionals. The banner is from the new Thoughtful Banners Stamp set, and is stamped in Sweet Sugarplum ink, then punched out with the new Duet Banner punch. This punch may be bought as a bundle with the Thoughtful Banners stamps, and you save 10% !  The banner was also attached with dimensionals.

Papillon Potpourri

The art panel was then popped onto the Sweet Sugarplum card base with dimensionals and I added a few Rhinestone Jewels for some bling.
Papillon Potpourri

I used the sentiment from Suite Sayings and stamped it in Sweet Sugarplum, then added another butterfly image from Papillon Potpourri in the corner.

Papillon Potpourri is a great stamp set to add to your collection because butterflies can be added to almost any card!

Stampin’ Up! Time of Year Host Set Sneak Peek

My share for today is a quick and easy card using Time of Year, a host stamp set from the new 2016-2017 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog.

Time of Year

While browsing through my new catalog, I noticed this card (a very similar one) on page 200, with Quick + Easy written in the corner.  So, I decided to make it my own by changing the colors a little, adding a couple of more layers and fussy cutting the banner and popping it onto the front with dimensionals.  (Bunch of Banners Framelits Dies are available on June 1st, so no more fussy cutting these banners)

The one pictured in the catalog is all one layer, which makes it very quick and easy, but even though mine has a couple of layers, it should be classified as very quick and easy, too.  It’s nice to have a card started and finished in a matter of minutes, right?

Time of Year

Time of Year is a great stamp set to use many times of the year, hence the name!  The other banner sentiments say Christmas, Birthday and Time of Year and the words At, This and On Your. Plus, you have the flowers as above, an acorn and leaf and holly berries and leaves to add as accents.  This set is photopolymer, too.

Time of Year

Remember, Time of Year is a host set, and can only be purchased when you host a Stampin’ Up! party, or you may use your Stampin’ Rewards earned from hosting a party to buy host only items.

Steps to make this card:

  1. Stamp the sentiment in Wild Wasabi onto a panel of Whisper White card stock
  2. Stamp the flowers in Flirty Flamingo (available June 1st) on either side of the sentiment
  3. Stamp the banner in Peekaboo Peach (available June 1st) onto a panel of Whisper White Thick card stock
  4. Punch out the banner with Bunch of Banners Framelits (available June 1st) and adhere it to the front with dimensionals
  5. Snail the art piece to a panel of Wild Wasabi
  6. Pop the framed art piece onto the Whisper White Thick card stock base
  7. Add some Pearls Basic jewels to the front

Card stock cuts are at the end of the post.

Sprinkles of Life Meets Apple of My Eye!

Happy Friday!  I have merged Sprinkles of Life and Apple of My Eye from Stampin’ Up!, for my card to share with you today.

Sprinkles of Life-Apple of My Eye

It makes a cheery thank you card, don’t you think?  I had fun with it-and will miss the Apple of My Eye stamp set as it is on the retired list!   And so is the Cherry On Top DSP.

Sprinkles of Life-Apple of My Eye

The cupcake bottom is Memento Black ink on Tip Top Taupe paper, fussy cut with Paper Snips.  The cupcake top is Cucumber Crush on Whisper White with Watermelon Wonder Sprinkles, all from Sprinkles of Life. I punched it with the Tree Builder Punch, then wrapped a length of Black Baker’s Twine around and tied a bow.

Next, I stamped the cherry stem, cherries and leaves from Apple of My Eye and fussy cut them. They are attached with little dabs of liquid glue, then dimensionals added to pop them to the front above the popped up cupcake top.

Sprinkles of Life-Apple of My Eye

Both the outside and inside sentiments are stamped in Watermelon Wonder ink using the Apple of My Eye stamp set. The cherries, stem and leaves are stamped directly onto the Whisper White piece.

Stampin’ Up! Party Wishes for the Retiring Stamps Blog Hop

13062283_10209504982569755_1333001386816888793_n

Welcome to Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Retiring Stamp Set Blog Hop!  We are all going to miss some of our favorites from Stampin’ Up!, so we’re showcasing some of them for you today.  My share is from Stampin’ Up!  Party Wishes. It was really hard to decide on just one retiring stamp set, but Party Wishes has some really fun stamps for creating a birthday card, plus you can bundle the Party Punch Pack punches for a 15% discount.  And, the It’s My Party Designer Series Paper Stack is full of wonderful festive papers!

Party Wishes

I made a Joy Fold Card. Click HERE for a tutorial on Splitcoaststampers.:

If you are looking for a fun new way to make a quick card, this one is it!  See how it opens:

Party Wishes

The large front panel has balloons that were stamped in Melon Mambo and Mint Macaron, then punched with the balloon punch from the Party Punch Pack.  The sentiments were both stamped with Versa Mark ink and dusted well with Black embossing powder and heat embossed.  I made the balloon strings with my white Uni-ball Signo gel pen (also retiring).

And here it is fully opened:

Party Wishes

I decided to use all of the same balloon paper on the inside flaps, but you could certainly use any paper you want in there. Even though I did not leave a panel to write on, you could use light paper inside where your sentiment is stamped and also write there. The cake stamp, from Party Wishes, was stamped onto Whisper White paper with Crushed Curry ink and the sentiment is embossed with Black embossing powder.  I fussy cut the cake image with my paper snips and glued a strip of candles that had been colored with my Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry markers to the cake before attaching the whole image to the inside with glue.

Party Wishes

Party Wishes doesn’t disappoint!  So many fun stamp images and sentiments, plus great paper and punches! The envelope is lined  with the same It’s My Party DSP as is used on one of the front flaps.  The envelope liners Framelits are also retiring, so get them soon if you like to line your envelopes to match your card.

Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Wings for Happy Stampers Blog Hop

HappyStampersBlogPostBanner

My share for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop is from Watercolor Wings.

Watercolor Wings

Today we are working with a color challenge:

12279068_1305624036130835_7849498222386249654_n

I have not used Watercolor Wings in a while, and it was fun to pull it back out and reacquaint myself with it.  I played around with the color layers for the butterfly (there are 3) until I decided on the sequence I wanted.  I think that is a fun option with this stamp set

Watercolor Wings

Steps to creating the card:

* Dry emboss the Soft Suede card base with the Brick Wall TIEF

* Cut a banner using the next to the largest Banners Framelits (I made it a little longer by only running the v shaped end through the Big Shot).  Attach it to the base with glue or snail-your preference.

* Using the largest butterfly images from Watercolor Wings, stamp the flat butterfly stamp in Pool Party first, then on top of that, stamp the butterfly with the shaded wings in Soft Suede ink that is stamped off once; and last, stamp the final butterfly on top using Soft Suede full strength.  Die cut with the die from Bold Butterfly Thinlets and stamp on the body with Soft Suede.  I used Whisper White Thick paper because I thought the butterfly would stand out a little nicer.

* Using a square panel of Whisper White card stock, make a background image with other stamps in the set with Pool Party and Mossy Meadow, stamp the sentiment in Mossy Meadow.

* Cut a length of Gold thread and attach it to the dimensional under the butterfly and place on the art piece, then stamp the butterfly’s antenna.

*Frame the art work with a panel of Mossy Meadow using liquid glue or snail; attach to the front of the card with dimensionals

I used the same images on the inside as on the front, but decided to use the smallest butterfly, and of course the sentiment is one from Watercolor Wings, too.

Watercolor Wings

The final touches to the envelope include more of the DSP used on the front of the card with my Envelope Liners Framelets Dies.

Watercolor Wings

Card stock cuts in inches will be at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Suite Sayings for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Happy Stampers April 7th Blog Hop Suite Sayings

How about a color challenge for this week?  We are using Sahara Sand, Whisper White and Basic Black.

Happy Stampers Blog Hop challenge April 7, 2016 Suite Sayings:

For my share, I am using Suite Sayings from Stampin’ Up!  I love this set for all of the wonderful sentiments and different fonts.  This sentiment pairs beautifully with the Timeless Elegance DSP for a wedding card.

Suite Sayings

I started by cutting a panel of Basic Black card stock and dry embossed it with the Happy Heart TIEF.  Next, I cut 2 panels of the Timeless Elegance DSP and framed them with panels of Sahara Sand that are just a little larger.

Suite Sayings

The panel on the left was then adhered to the Basic Black piece with multipurpose liquid glue.  I cut a length of Whisper White 5/8″ Organza ribbon and attached it to the front and back with Tear and Tape, then adhered the floral panel with dimensionals.  Suite Sayings

The sentiment, from Suite Sayings, was then stamped onto another panel of Timeless Elegance DSP in Basic Black archival ink and cut out with the banner die from the Rose Garden Thinlets Dies.  I traced around the outside of the die onto a  piece of Sahara Sand and cut it out with my paper snips for a frame for the sentiment banner.  Those 2 pieces are adhered together with glue, then popped onto the front with dimensionals.  All that was left was to tie a bow from the same ribbon, attach with glue dots and then pop that whole panel onto the Sahara Sand card base with dimensionals.  Suite Sayings

For the inside of the card, I used a sentiment from the Rose Wonder stamp set.  I used Basic Black ink once again and stamped it onto a panel of the same Timeless Elegance from the front sentiment banner.  And, here is the finished product with the envelope lined with matching DSP.  Check out the Suite Sayings stamp set in the Occasions Catalog, page 43, and order yours today!

Stampin’ Up! Remarkable You for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Happy Stampers March 10th Blog Hop

My share for today’s Happy Stampers Blog Hop goes out to a very special person.  I decided to use the Remarkable You stamp set because she is truly Remarkable!  Sandi, the original Happy Stamper, is having surgery today and we all want her to know how special she is and that we miss her.  She has been absent from the hop for a few weeks and we patiently await her return and wish her a speedy recovery.

Here is our color challenge:

Remarkable You is the perfect stamp set for trying out water coloring!

Stampin' Up! Remarkable You for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop by Cardiology by Jari

We have had such beautiful weather in Georgia the last few days, that I wanted to try photographing my card outside.  I love the outdoor effect with the calla lilies.  As a little girl growing up in Florida, I remember these beautiful flowers growing wild out in the pastures and how much I loved them!

Remarkable You stamp set from Stampin' Up!

The Old Olive card base is stamped first with the leaf stamp from Remarkable You with Old Olive ink.   I used the stamping off technique. This is where you stamp first on a scrap of paper and then stamp onto your card without re-inking. It gives a softer effect. The calla lilies and the sentiment were stamped onto a panel of Water color paper with Versa Mark ink, then heat embossed with Black embossing powder.  I then used my Aqua Painter to “paint” the center of the flower with Hello Honey ink and a little Tangelo Twist for the stamen. The stems were done in Old Olive ink.  The water colored panel was then adhered to a panel of Basic Black with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  A strand of Old Olive Baker’s twine was then wrapped around the art panel 3 times and finished with a bow.  This panel was then popped onto the Old Olive base with dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, I chose a sentiment and butterfly from the Best Thoughts stamp set.

Stampin' Up! RemarkableYou by Card-iology by Jari

The sentiment and butterfly were stamped with Basic Black Archival ink, then the butterfly colored in with my Hello Honey Stampin’ Write Marker.
