Spring Jar of Love for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Amy's Inkin' Krew Team Blog Hop

Spring, ah, spring!  A favorite time of year and our theme for this month’s Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop.  So glad you have joined us today.  I used the Jar of Love Bundle from Stampin’ Up! to create my card to share with you.

I started by tearing the edges of a panel of Whisper White card stock and then sponged the edges lightly with Crumb Cake ink and a Sponge Dauber.  Next, the water from Jar of Love was stamped onto a panel of Whisper White after I stamped it off once on a scrap piece of paper.  I just wanted the water to barely show.  The jar was stamped in Smoky Slate right over the water, then I cut it out using the Everyday Jars Framelits Dies.

I stamped several of the flower images from Jar of Love, using colors I think of in spring.  This is a two step stamp set, meaning for some of the images, you stamp twice.  I decided to use Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo, Wild Wasabi, Mint Macaron and Crumb Cake in the arrangement.  To achieve the two color look in the flowers, I stamped off the base of the flower before actually stamping it onto Whisper White, then came back with the second stamp full strength. The stems and leaves were stamped full strength.

Next, I adhered the jar onto the torn panel.   Then, I  stamped some stems in the water and a couple of greenery sprigs right onto the torn panel just above the jar top so they would peek out of the arrangement.  All of the flower heads and leaves were die cut and I began to put the spring arrangement together using Liquid Glue and Dimensionals.   I had some stray strands of Burlap Ribbon that had been pulled apart, so I put them together and tied a bow for the top of the jar.

I left the inside fairly plain for writing and added 3 left over small flowers to the right bottom with Liquid Glue.

A complete list of Stampin’ Up! products used to create my spring card and card stock cuts in inches will be at the end of my post.
