Christmas Pines Noel for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Christmas Pines stamp set to create a Noel, or Christmas season card, for our hop today.  We are all playing with this sketch:

Happy Inkin' Thursday Noel sketch

Stampin' Up! Christmas Pines Noel-Cardiology by Jari

This stamp set and the Pretty Pines Thinlets dies are still a favorite of mine despite all of the wonderful new sets in the 2017 Holiday Catalog!  I started by dry embossing a panel of Garden Green with the Softly Falling embossing folder.  Then, I adhered two panels of the fun Be Merry Designer Series Paper with liquid glue.  I used some Stampin’ Dimensionals to then pop this panel onto my Cherry Cobbler card base.

Stampin' Up! Christmas Pines Noel-Cardiology by Jari

Next, I stamped Noel in Cherry Cobbler onto a panel of Whisper White Thick card stock and fussy cut it out with Paper Snips.  I also stamped the scrolly banner from the Christmas Pines set in Garden Green and fussy cut it out.  Noel was then adhered to the banner with dimensionals.  Several pine boughs were die cut using the Pretty Pines Thinlets Dies  and adhered to the front panel with glue dots.  I added a couple of other sprigs of Cherry Cobbler to fill it out and popped the banner on with dimensionals.  Three Rhinestone Basic Jewels were added for some bling to the front.

For the inside, I stamped a pine bough in Garden Green, stamping off once on scrap paper, then stamped the sentiment right over it in Cherry Cobbler.

A complete list of stamping supplies and card stock cuts will be at the end of my post.

Carols of Christmas for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Inkin’ Thursday!  My share for today is from the Carols of Christmas stamp set bundle from Stampin’ Up!

Our colors for the week: Soft Suede, Soft Sky and Pear Pizzaz

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop color challenge

Stampin' Up! Carols of Christmas

The Carols of Christmas Bundle will be available for purchase on August 1st.  But, you could get the stamp set for free now just by joining Stampin’ Up!  Then, use your Bonus Coupons to purchase the Card Front Builder Thinlets Dies in August.  See more details in the Christmas in July information later in my post.

I started with a panel of Soft Sky card stock and used the Card Front Builder Thinlets to cut out the moon and stars at the top.  A panel of Dazzling Diamonds Designer Series Paper was adhered to the back with some Liquid Multipurpose Glue. Stampin' Up! Carol of Christmas-Cardiology by Jari

Next, I dry embossed a panel of Soft Suede card stock with the Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and adhered it to the Soft Sky panel with liquid glue.  The trees were die cut from Pear Pizzaz, topped with some glue from my Fine Tip Glue Pen and sprinkled with Dazzling Diamonds glitter.  I set them aside to dry and stamped two deer using the deer stamp from Carols of Christmas in Soft Suede ink.  They were cut out using the coordinating die from the bundle.

Stampin' Up! Carols of Christmas-Cardiology by Jari

The snow bank was created with the swirly die from the Swirly Scribbles Thinlets from more Dazzling Diamonds DSP. Two of the trees were adhered to the Soft Suede panel, then I added the snow bank with more liquid glue.  The trees in the foreground were added with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the deer with liquid glue.

A length of Soft Sky 3/8″ Classic Weave Ribbon was adhered to the front with Tear & Tape Adhesive and the art panel popped onto the Soft Sky card stock base with dimensionals. I masked off the bottom half of the sentiment stamp with some tape, inked it in VersaMark, sprinkled on White Emboss Powder and heat embossed it onto a panel of Soft Sky.  Layering Ovals Framelits and Stitched Shapes Framelits were used to cut out the sentiment panel and mats.

Stampin' Up! Carols of Christmas-Cardiology by JariI stamped the snowflake image from the Christmas Pines stamp set in Soft Sky onto a panel of Whisper White, then stamped the sentiment, also from Christmas Pines,  in Pear Pizzaz over them.  Another glittered Pear Pizzaz tree was adhered with glue and then the whole panel adhered to the base with liquid glue.  Enjoy!

A complete list of stamping supplies including card stock cuts will be at the end of my post.

Jolly Moose for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Happy Stampers Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Jolly Friends stamp set to create my Jolly Moose Christmas card for our hop for today.  This week, we have a color challenge using these rich holiday colors:

Happy Stampers blog hop

I also used the sketch over at Fab Friday to give some creation inspiration

Fab Fri 99

Jolly Moose

I stamped my moose image from Jolly Friends in Early Expresso, and fussy cut him with my Paper Snips. Next,  I stamped the cap parts in Cherry Cobbler ink and punched them with the Jolly Hat Builder Punch.  The scarf was also stamped in Cherry Cobbler, but I fussy cut it. The sentiment is from Tin of Tags.  It was stamped in Garden Green, then die cut with a Layering Ovals Framelit Die.   I framed that oval with another scalloped oval in Cherry Cobbler.

Jolly Moose

My card base is Crumb Cake. First, I stamped the snow flake images from Christmas Pines several times in Garden Green ink onto my Garden Green card stock panel.  The banners were cut from the Warmth & Cheer DSP. Then, I swirled some Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green Baker’s Twine onto the front before adding the sentiment ovals with dimensionals.

Jolly Moose

For the inside, I stamped Merry Christmas, from Better Together, and die cut another oval.  Then, I die cut some “mistletoe” from the Pretty Pines Thinlets Dies and tied them together with more of the Baker’s Twine.

Card stock cuts and products used are listed at the end of the post.

Thoughtful Branches for Christmas

Today’s card is another look at the Thoughtful Branches stamp set-it is only available today and tomorrow!  My last share was a sympathy card using this set, so I thought ,why not do one more, a Thoughtful Branches for Christmas card!

Thoughtful Branches for Christmas

I started by stamping the tree images from Thoughtful Branches right onto the This Christmas Specialty DSP in Early Expresso and Garden Green inks.  The ground image is also stamped in Early Expresso.  Next, I stamped the sentiment from Christmas Pines (available on September 1st, Yippee) in Cherry Cobbler ink directly onto the DSP.  I went back to Thoughtful Branches for my birds, stamped them in Cherry Cobbler onto Very Vanilla and die cut them with the Beautiful Branches Thinlets Dies (Bundle and SAVE 10%)

Thoughtful Branches for Christmas

Gold Foil stars were then die cut with my Mini Treat Bag Thinlets and added with a very tiny piece of Dimensionals. The birds also took a small piece of dimensional and were then popped onto the panel.  The lower left corner of the card front looked too bare, so I pulled out my Pretty Pines Thinlets (available Sept. 1st, YAY) and die cut 3 boughs from some Garden Green stock, then trimmed down some.  They are glued with a small amount of Liquid Glue, then I added some Cherry Cobbler Baker’s Twine to a Classy Designer Button and tied a bow.  It is attached with a couple of glue dots.  Garden Green is my card base, followed by a panel of This Christmas DSP.  The art panel is framed in Basic Black card stock and popped onto the bottom layers with Dimensionals.

Thoughtful Branches for Christmas

Can you tell I really like this tree?  My sentiment is another one from the Christmas Pines set.  So, do you agree you need this set?  I am happy with my Thoughtful Branches for Christmas card, and if you want to see even more ideas using this set, check out this Pinterest Board for many more images of this wonderful set, and don’t delay on ordering it!

Stampin’ Up! Christmas Pines for the Happy Stampers

Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Welcome to another Happy Stampers Blog Hop. We have a sketch for you today and I am using the new Christmas Pines stamp set from Stampin’ Up! for my card.

Here is our sketch:

Happy Stampers blog Hop

I have to admit. this sketch was a little difficult for me at first, then the more I looked at it, I decided it reminded me of a Gatefold Shutter Card that I had made a while back.  So, that is what I made, using the new Christmas Pines stamp set bundle available on September 1st.

Christmas Pines

I guess if you use your imagination, you might see some of the elements of the sketch, right?  I love this new stamp set and the Pretty Pines Thinlets Dies and I know you will. too.  Of course, everything in the new catalog is awesome!!

Christmas Pines

I also used the Presents & Pinecones Designer Series Paper which coordinates with Christmas Pines.  For a tutorial to make a Gatefold Shutter Card, click HERE.  Don’t you just love the look of the pine cone?  It is made with the new Copper Foil Paper also available on September 1st.

Here is a shot with the belly band off the card:

Christmas Pines

The reason this is named a shutter card is when you open it up, it has a little shutter like a camera that opens to show your sentiment.  Mine really does open wider as it is supposed to, but I could not photograph it with one hand and open it properly with just my other hand, sorry!
Christmas Pines

I needed a compact sentiment for the inside, so I chose the Merry Christmas from Better Together.  Hope you liked my card using the new Christmas Pines and Pretty Pines Thinlets Dies.  Make sure to add them to your wish list, and get ready, because September 1st is only a few days away!

Now, let’s move on to see what Kristi has created for us today.  A list of our Happy Stampers Team is below the button.
