Deck the Halls with Stampin’ Up! Carols of Christmas

I know, it’s a little early to deck the halls, but who can resist the new Carols of Christmas Bundle available now from Stampin’ Up!  Deck the Halls with Carols of Christmas-Cardiology by Jari

I started with a Basic Black card stock base and adhered a panel of the new Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper (available Sept. 1st) to the front.  The black and olive green plaid paper is really fun for Christmas cards, and I like the fact that it is not just for the holiday season.

Deck the Halls-Cardiology by Jari

I used the Card Front Builder Thinlets Dies (part of the Carols of Christmas Bundle) to create the Basic Black card stock frame. Using my Stamp-a-ma-jig and Versa Mark ink, I stamped Deck the Halls in the center of the frame and sprinkled it with White Emboss powder then heated it until smooth and shiny.  I repeated the stamping sequence with the design above the sentiment and also the flower below it.

The Basic Black frame was then adhered to another panel from the Merry Little Christmas DSP (available Sept 1st) with liquid glue.

A bow was punched from another panel of  the Merry Little Christmas DSP (available Sept 1st) using my Bow Builder Punch.  Isn’t it the cutest?  Next, the art panel was popped onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the final step for the front was to add a Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the center of the flower.

For the inside, I chose a Whisper White panel and stamped the ornament image from Carols of Christmas in Old Olive ink.  The sentiment is from Better Together and also stamped in Old Olive.  A little strip of the plaid paper from the front was adhered to the bottom and then the sentiment panel adhered to the card base.

Don’t wait too long to Deck the Halls with this great new stamp set!  Details for ordering are below.

A complete list of stamping supplies and card stock cuts will be at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Carols of Christmas Bundle

Today is the day many of you have been waiting for!  It’s August 1st, and ordering begins for the Carols of Christmas Bundle.  Are you so excited?   I hope so, because this bundle is perfect for all of your holiday cards and beyond!  What a perfect day to showcase another card created with the Carols of Christmas Bundle from Stampin’ Up!

Stampin' Up! Carols of Christmas Bundle-Cardiology by Jari

I just love the large sentiments in this stamp set.  And, if you feel they are too large for your card, you can certainly cut it in half as I did in THIS card.

I started by stamping the ornament images in Cherry Cobbler, then Garden Green onto a panel of Whisper White.  For the second set of ornaments (Garden Green) I carefully wiped off the last ornament after it had been inked up so that I would only have 2 ornaments hanging to the right of the Cherry Cobbler ornaments. That panel was framed with a little larger panel in Cherry Cobbler card stock with Liquid Multipurpose Glue.

Stampin' Up! Carols of Christmas Bundle-Cardiology by Jari

Next, I stamped the Deck the Halls sentiment in VersaMark ink onto a panel of Cherry Cobbler card stock, sprinkled it with White Emboss Powder and heated it until smooth and shiny with a Heat Tool.  Once cool enough to handle, I die but it with a scalloped circle from the Layering Circles Framelits Dies. Two narrow strips of the Be Merry Designer Series Paper were cut and framed with strips of Garden Green card stock and then adhered to the lower front of the card with liquid glue.

Stampin' Up! Carols of Christmas Bundle-Cardiology by Jari

I pulled out a silver Metallic Foil Doily and adhered it to the front of the card, then cut a length of Silver Mini Sequin Trim and adhered it with several Glue Dots.  This panel was adhered to the Garden Green card stock base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Then, the scalloped circle sentiment was adhered over the silver doily with Stampin’ Dimensionals. For the holly, I used Garden Green ink and carefully wiped off the center berries and stamped.  Then, I came back with the berry images from the stamp set and stamped them in Cherry Cobbler ink.  I used the die from the Card Front Builder Thinlets (part of the bundle) to cut them out and adhered them to the front with small dimensionals.  The final touch was to add some Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the centers of the ornaments.

Stampin' Up! Carols of Christmas Bundle-Cardiology by Jari

More ornaments in Garden Green were stamped on the inside Whisper White panel and I chose the sentiment from the Hang Your Stocking stamp set and stamped it in Cherry Cobbler ink.  The narrow strip is the reverse side of the Be Merry DSP used on the front of my card.

So, are you ready to order the Carols of Christmas Bundle?

Stamping supplies and card stock cuts in inches will be at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Hello Friend Thank You

Well, it’s the weekend, and I hope you’re planning something fun, maybe even some stamping?  For my share today I used the Hello Friend stamp set.  This set is found on page 17 of the Annual Catalog and can be purchased along with the Hello Friend Heat Embossing Kit.

Stampin' Up! Hello Friend-Cardiology by Jari

The sketch was inspired by the Just Add Ink Challenge #370Just Add Ink challenge #370

I started with VersaMark ink and stamped the background image from Hello Friend onto a panel of Whisper White, sprinkled it with Copper Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  Once it had cooled, I adhered the panel to a little larger panel of Peekaboo Peach with some liquid glue.

Stampin' Up! Hello Friend-Cardiology by Jari

Next, I stamped the wreath in Wild Wasabi onto another panel of Whisper White and die cut it with the largest Stitched Shapes Framelits circle die.  Using my Peekaboo Peach and Calypso Coral Stampin’ Write Markers, I applied ink to the stamp image with four flowers and huffed on it a few times to make it moist, then stamped over the wreath image.  I repeated that last step two more times.

Stampin' Up! Hello Friend-Cardiology by Jari

I stamped the Hello stamp in VersaMark ink, sprinkled it with Copper Emboss powder, shook off the excess and heat embossed it.  Once it was cool enough to handle, I used my Paper Snips to cut out around the letters to give it a little pizzaz.   Some Peekaboo Peach 5.8″ Crinkle Binding was adhered to the card front and the wreath adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I tied a bow with more of the Peekaboo Peach ribbon and adhered it to the wreath with Glue Dots.  The sentiment was popped on with dimensionals and a few Glitter Enamel Dots and Enamel Shapes were added for some bling.

Stampin' Up! Hello Friend-Cariology by Jari

I used more VersaMark ink and Copper Embossing Powder for the inside sentiment, and the other flower image from Hello Friend was stamped once in Calypso Coral and once in Peekaboo Peach.  The leaves were stamped in Wild Wasabi.  Enjoy!

Stamping supplies as well as card stock cuts in inches will be at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up Oh So Eclectic Florals

I used the Stampin’ Up! Oh So Eclectic stamp set to create a card to share with you today.

Stampin' Up! Oh So Eclectic-Cardiology by Jari

The sketch inspiration is from Stamps Ink Paper SIP#109

SIP#109

I started with a Soft Sky panel that I matted to a panel of Naturally Eclectic Designer Series paper with some liquid glue.  Next, I stamped some of the smaller images from Oh So Eclectic in Soft Sky and Berry Burst onto a Whisper White Stitched Shapes Square.  To this square, I adhered a scalloped square mat in Peekaboo Peach. Then, I glued them to the card front with more liquid glue.

Stampin' Up! Oh So Eclectic-Cardiology by Jari

The leaves were stamped in Lemon Lime Twist, and the flowers were stamped in Soft Sky and Peekaboo Peach. Imagine my surprise when I realized that I had not bought the Eclectic Layers Thinlets Dies!  I received this stamp set for free during On Stage last spring- but not the dies!  So, I pulled out my Paper Snips and began to fussy cut.

Stampin' Up! Oh So Eclectic-Cardiology by Jari

I stamped the sentiment in Berry Burst onto Whisper White and cut it out with the die from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlets that looks like Washi Tape.  It was adhered to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The flowers and leaves were arranged and adhered with some glue and dimensionals and the whole art panel was added to the Soft Sky card stock base with more dimensionals.  A little bling was needed, so I added one Gold Faceted Gem and some Metallic Enamel Shapes and the front was completed.

Stampin' Up! Oh So Eclectic-Cardiology by Jari

For the inside, I stamped the sentiment in Berry Burst and added a thin panel of the Naturally Eclectic DSP (as used on the front) before layering some more of the fussy cut flowers and leaves to the bottom.

A complete list of stamping supplies and card stock cuts will be at the end of my post.
