Stampin’ Up! Petal Garden for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Time for another sketch challenge, and I took advantage of the beautiful Petal Garden Designer Series paper by Stampin’ Up! to create my card for today.

And, here is our sketch:

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I think this Petal Garden Designer Series Paper is just perfect for our sketch this week.  Beautiful results with very little work!  A panel of Rich Razzleberry card stock and the Petal Garden DSP were adhered at an angle and then popped onto the Pool Party card stock base with some Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the Birthday Blooms stamp set and was stamped in VersaMark ink and heat embossed with Gold Emboss powder.  I used the die from the Lovely Laurels Thinlets to create the label.  The Sweet Sugarplum banner was punched on one end with the Banner Triple Punch.  I cut a length of the Old Olive 1/8″ Sheer Ribbon and wound it in an S pattern, secured it with some Glue Dots and popped the label over it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  On to the inside panel.

The large rose image stamp from the Birthday Blooms stamp set resembles the rose buds on the front of the card, so I decided to use a part of it for the lower corner.  I used the ink to rubber method, where I used Stampin’ Write Markers to color the stamp, then huffed on it a few times to create some more moisture and stamped.  More of the Old Olive ribbon was adhered with little dabs of Liquid Multipurpose Glue and finally, an inside sentiment was added.  It is also found in the Birthday Blooms set.

A complete list of stamping supplies and card stock cuts will be at the end of my post.
