Stampin’ Up! A Little Wild Bundle

I used the A Little Wild stamp set bundle to create the card I’m sharing with you today.  Isn’t this bear fun?

Stampin' Up! A Little Wild-Cardiology by Jari

The inspiration for the card sketch is from the challenge at Freshly Made Sketches #295

Freshly Made Sketches #295

I started with a Soft Suede card stock base, then added a panel of Whisper White that was matted with a panel of Crushed Curry card stock.  The bear image from A Little Wild was stamped onto water color paper in Basic Black Archival ink and water colored with my Aqua Painter. (I only inked up half of the bear) First, I painted the bee body with Crushed Curry, and when dry, used clear Wink of Stella for the wings.  The bear was painted with Soft Suede ink.

The bee hive and bees were also stamped with Basic Black Archival ink onto water color paper and colored with Crushed Curry, clear Wink of Stella and Soft Suede.  Once they were dry, I cut them out with the Little Loves Framelits Dies.

When the  bear was completely dry, I used a Stitched Shapes Framelits circle die to cut it out, then matted it with a scalloped circle from the Layering Circles dies in Soft Suede.  One of the bees was adhered to the hive with some liquid glue, then the hive was adhered to the circle with more liquid glue.  The Crushed Curry vine is part of the Little Loves Framelits and I cut 2 and pieced them behind my art panel.

The bees were adhered to the front with liquid glue, then I used my Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker to add some dotted lines to make the bees look as if they were buzzing around.  I stamped the sentiment from A Little Wild in Versa Mark onto Soft Suede and heat embossed it with White Emboss Powder, then cut it in half and adhered it to the circle and directly to the card front with liquid glue.

For the inside, I stamped the other bear half onto water color paper and painted him and the bees using the same colors as the front of the card.  For the sentiment, I used the Cool Treats stamp set with Soft Suede and Crushed Curry inks.  Enjoy!

Card stock cuts and a complete list of Stampin’ Up! supplies will be at the end of my post.
