Stampin’ Up! This Little Piggy

I’m sharing a fun card today created with the This Little Piggy stamp set from Stampin’ Up!  Why I have waited so long to use this set is a mystery, because it is absolutely adorable!

Stampin' Up! This Little Piggy-Cardiology by Jari

I started by stamping a couple of the small daisy images from the Daisy Delight stamp set in Daffodil Delight ink on the lower left and upper right corners of a panel of Daffodil Delight card stock.  That panel was adhered to my Night of Navy card stock base with liquid glue.

I chose the upright piggy image from This Little Piggy to stamp in Basic Black Archival ink onto a panel of water color paper.  The sentiment was covered with tape while I was inking because I wanted to use it as a stand alone sentiment. If you do this, make sure you pull off your tape or what ever you use to cover the image before you stamp onto your final project or it will make a blurry blob of mess!  I also re-inked the grass image and stamped it one more time across the bottom, using my Stamp-a-ma-jig for placement.

I used my Aqua Painters and Powder Pink, Old Olive, and Daffodil Delight inks, as well as my Black Stampin’ Write Marker, to color all of the images for my art piece and sentiment.  For the sentiment, I covered all of the piggy stamp except for the words, in tape, inked it in Basic Black Archival ink and stamped onto a panel of water color paper.  I did the same thing for the flower and stamped it to the left of my sentiment.  Once the colors were dry, I cut out the sentiment with a Stitched Shape Oval die, and framed it with a Daffodil Delight scalloped oval from the Layering Ovals Framelits.

I cut a panel of the Delightful Daisy DSP and adhered it to my art panel with some liquid glue.  Then, I cut a length of Night of Navy Crinkled ribbon and adhered it to the card front with a little Tear & Tape Adhesive.  I popped the art panel over the ribbon with some Stampin’ Dimensionals, then added the sentiment panel with more Dimensionals.  One Night of Navy Enamel Shaped heart was added for some bling.

For my inside panel, I stamped a partial Little Piggy image in Basic Black Archival ink, and colored in the daisy with my Daffodil Delight and Old Olive Stampin’ Write Markers.  Enjoy!

A complete list of Stampin’ Up! Products as well as card stock cuts for my This Little Piggy card will be at the end of my post.
