Jari Francis, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

Stampin’ Up! from Savannah

Just a quick post today to share a few pictures and info from OnStage in Savannah.   First of all, it was a blast getting together with our team, Amy’s Inkin’ Krew.  We always have fun together.  Here we are in a group picture:

Amy's Inkin' Krew at OnStage Savannah

And almost as much fun as getting together with stamping buddies was getting our hands on the 2017-2018 Annual Catalog!  Woo-hoo.  I cannot tell you anything except you are going to LOVE the new products!  And if you decide you want to join Stampin’ Up! right away, you could also receive that new catalog plus order some of the new products!  Yes, we will be able to share those new items with you early next week!  In fact, I will be posting the retiring products from the 2016-2017 Annual Catalog on Monday afternoon as soon as I get it!

I won’t be able to share any of our projects we made for a couple days either, but be patient, they are coming!

Once the retired list is posted, make sure you order what you want quickly because certain items will sell out fast!  May 31st will be your last day to order.  Then, June 1st, you will be able to order from the new catalog.  How can you get your hands on that new catalog?  Well, if you  are a customer of mine, you will be receiving one from me in mid May.  If you have not ordered from me in the last 12 months, all you need to do is place a $50 or more order from me.  Please if you are a customer of mine, log in to your account HERE and check your mailing address so that I will be able to send your catalog to you.

Here is part of our group on Friday afternoon.  Our amazing team leader had just given us all some welcoming gifts!

This next picture is of me with a fun poster of Sara Douglass the CEO of Stampin’ Up!  She was actually in Amsterdam this weekend, so this was as close to her as I could get!  Ha-ha!

It is a great reminder to you though to order your Paper Pumpkin for April before the 10th.  We got a sneak peek of this kit and it really looks fun!  Shop HERE for your kit created by Sara!

I actually got a few more pictures, but they have some of the new products in the background and I am not able to post them yet! Some are of our stamp sets we won from the prize patrol.

A great time of stamping and fellowship was had this weekend.  Just one more reason for you to join in on the fun and join my team!  I’d love to have you-even if you are a hobby demo, I welcome everyone!  HERE is more information for you about becoming a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator.

Stampin’ Up! Blooms & Wishes Best Wishes

I used Blooms & Wishes from Stampin’ Up! to create a “best wishes” card to share with you today.

Stampin' Up! Blooms & Wishes Best Wishes by Cardiology by Jari

I started by stamping the images from the Blooms & Wishes stamp set in Peekaboo Peach,  So Saffron, Flirty Flamingo, Wild Wasabi and Soft Suede onto a panel of Whisper White card stock to create my own DSP.  I pulled out the Botanical Blooms stamp set for some of the small flower images and the Birthday Blooms set for the dots, stamping all randomly onto my Whisper White.

Stampin' Up! Blooms & Wishes Best Wishes Cardioloty by Jari

The Best Wishes sentiment was stamped in Soft Suede onto a Whisper White oval panel and I added a scalloped oval So Saffron frame.  I die cut a group of dragonflies from the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlets in Gold Foil and cut off one for the art panel.

Stampin' Up! Blooms & Wishes Best Wishes Cardiology by Jari

My art panel was adhered to a panel of Wild Wasabi card stock, then popped onto the So Saffron card base with Dimensionals.  A length of Peekaboo Peach Ruched ribbon was gathered together on one end with a Linen Thread bow.  Then, I added strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive to the ribbon and adhered it to the front of the card.  My sentiment oval was added with dimensionals.

No sentiment for the inside, but I added one of the flowers from Blooms & Wishes to the left corner.  Enjoy!

A complete list of stamping supplies as well as card stock cuts in inches will be at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Special Reason Bundle for Spring

I used the Stampin’ Up! Special Reason Bundle to create a spring card to share with you today.

Stampin' Up! Special Reason Cardiology by Jari

The inspiration for the theme of my card is from the Fusion Challenge.  I chose Spring.

Fusion Challenge for Spring

I started with a panel of Whisper White that was stamped with the dotted image from Gorgeous Grunge in Basic Black ink. Then, I added some grass from Basket Bunch in Cucumber Crush ink.  This panel was matted with a Daffodil Delight panel.  The Special Reason small flowers were stamped in Daffodil Delight onto Whisper White card stock and cut with the Stylish Stems Framelits Dies.

Stampin' Up! Special Reason

The Cucumber Crush flower stems and leaves were also die cut with the Stylish Stems dies.  Before adding the flowers, stems and leaves, I layered a panel of Pop of Pink Designer Series Paper to a panel of Basic Black.  Then, I added the Cucumber Crush 2015-2017 In Color Doily so that it would peek out from the art panel.  I adhered the art panel  and then added the stems, leaves, and flowers.  The flower centers are White Perfect Accents that I colored in with a black Sharpie pen.

Stampin' Up! Special Reason Cardiology by Jari

The bee, from Dragonfly Dreams, was stamped in Basic Black onto Whisper White, colored in with my Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Write marker, and fussy cut with Paper Snips.  I chose a sentiment from Special Reason and stamped it onto Daffodil Delight card stock.  Included in the Special Reason Bundle is a stamp and die to create the labels for the sentiment.

Stampin' Up! Special Reason Cardiology by Jari For the inside, I stamped one more of the small flowers from Special Reason first, then stamped the sentiment in Basic Black right on top of it.  Enjoy!

A complete list of Stampin’ Up! products as well as card stock cuts in inches will be listed at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Blooms for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

We’re back with another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop for you today.  I used Birthday Blooms, from Stampin’ Up!, to create my card to share with you.

Stampin' Up! Birthday Blooms by Cardiology by Jari

We have a color challenge this week, and Mint Macaron has truly been a wonderful color the last two years!  Make sure you order anything from the 2015-2017 In-Color Collection soon because they retire June 1st.   Those items will vanish fast!

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I’m also playing along with the Coming Up Flowers Challenge #93 At Stamp Ink Paper this week.

Stamp Ink Paper Challenge 93

I started with a panel of Watercolor Paper and the Birthday Blooms stamp set.  The large flower image was stamped in Versa Mark ink, and heat embossed using White Emboss Powder.  Then, I began to color in the flowers with my Watercolor Pen and Calypso Coral ink.  Once it was dry, I came back in and water colored Mint Macaron on all of the leaf images.  Finally, I colored in the center of the bloom with more water coloring in Daffodil Delight.  The Mint Macaron dotted images are also from Birthday Blooms, and were added last.
Stampin' Up! Birthday Blooms by Cardiology by Jari

I used the sentiment from Jar of Love, and the Banners Framelits Dies for my banner cut outs. The Calypso Coral Thick Baker’s Twine is really White Baker’s Twine that I dyed using vinegar and my Calypso Coral re-inker.  It was my first time trying this technique.  Luckily, I realized in enough time that I was out of the Calypso Coral twine, and dyed some ahead of when I needed it, so it had time to dry!  I’m happy with the results, and will try this again with other colors.

Stampin' Up! Birthday Blooms by Cardiology by Jari

For the inside, I chose a sentiment from Floral Phrases and stamped it in Mint Macaron.  My small flower is from Birthday Blooms and was stamped in Calypso Coral.

A complete list of Stampin’ Up! supplies needed to complete this project, as well as card stock cuts in inches will be at the end of my post.

Now, you can continue the hop to see what Kristi has created for us today.

Stampin’ Up! Basket Bunch Easter Treat Holders

I used the Basket Bunch Bundle and Tag Topper Punch from Stampin’ Up!, to create some Easter Treat holders to share with you today.

Stampin' Up! Basket Bunch Easter Treat Holders Cardiology by Jari

I started with 2″ x 8 1/2″ strips of Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Tempting Turquoise card stock and scored them at 4″ and 4 1/2″.  Then, I  punched both ends of each strip with my Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.  Next, I cut an oval with my Layering Ovals Framelits Dies about 3/4″ above the  4″ scored line to make a little window.

Stampin' Up! Basket Bunch Easter Treat Holder by Cardiology by Jari

Next, I used a bone folder to crease the scored lines so that I had a front and a back. Grass was die cut using the Basket Builder Framelits Dies and adhered to the inside so that it would show through the oval window.  To frame the outside oval, I die cut a scalloped oval with the same sized oval used for the window, nested inside. Thus creating an open frame. I stamped the bunnies and small eggs and die cut them with the Basket Builder Framelits Dies.  The sentiment was stamped on a strip of Whisper White and die cut with the banner frame found in the Gift Card Envelope & Trims Thinlets Dies.  Stampin' Up! Basket Bunch Easter Treat Holder Cardiology by Jari

Fill Cellophane Bags with candy of your choice, secure the top and slip inside your Easter Treat Holder, add ribbon to the tops, tie on your sentiment banners and you’re finished.  Enjoy!

Autism Matters Blog Hop

Autism Matters Blog Hop

Welcome to our Autism Matters Blog Hop.  Our intent is to raise awareness on Autism as well as raise funds for Autism research, resources and services for those affected by autism and to advocate for the needs of those with autism.

Autism, or autism spectrum disorder, refers to a range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication, as well as by unique strengths and differences. We now know that there is not one autism but many types, caused by different combinations of genetic and environmental influences.

The term “spectrum” reflects the wide variation in challenges and strengths possessed by each person with autism.

Autism Matters Blog Hop

There is no blood test, no scan, and no image that can detect autism. Diagnosis relies on behavioral observation and screening.

The colors associated with Autism are red, yellow and blue, so I used those colors in my card for today.  I used Balloon Adventures, Better Together and Bear Hugs from Stampin’ Up! to create my card to share.

Stampin' Up! Balloon Adventures for Autism Matters by Cardiology by Jari

My bear was stamped first in Chocolate Chip ink on a panel of Crumb Cake, then die cut with the Bear Hugs Framelits Dies.  Isn’t he just the cutest?

Next, came the balloons, Real Red, Daffodil Delight and Pacific Point.  I used the Balloon Bouquet Punch to cut them out.

I stamped the party hat from Better Together, and colored it in with my Real Red, Daffodil Delight and Pacific Point Stampin’ Write Markers.  Then, I used my Paper Snips to carefully cut it out.

The sentiment is also from Balloon Adventures, and was stamped with Versa Mark ink, sprinkled with White Emboss Powder and heat embossed.  I used the Duet Banner Punch to cut it out.

Stampin' Up! Balloon Adventures for Autism Matters by Cardiology by Jari

For my inside sentiment, I used a stamp from Balloon Adventures and colored it with the ink to rubber method,  I took my Real Red, Daffodil Delight and Pacific Point Stampin’ Write markers and colored in the words, huffed on it a few times, then stamped onto my Whisper White panel.

A complete list of stamping supplies as well as card stock cuts for creating this card will be at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Succulents for FMS #281

I used the Succulents Framelits Dies from Stampin’ Up! to create my card to share with you today.

Stampin' Up! Succulents Cardiology by Jari

My card design was inspired by the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #281 this week.

FMS 3281 Sketch Challenge

I also used the colors from the Fab Fri Challenge #108 even though I missed the deadline to enter!

I love how versatile these Succulents Dies are, and I never grow tired of working with them!  First, I die cut 3 sets of the pointy succulent dies from So Saffron and sponged the centers and edges with Peekaboo Peach ink.  Then, I used the trailing succulent die to cut out 2 pieces in Mint Macaron card stock.

Stampin' Up! Succulents Cardiology by Jari

My sentiment is from the March 2017 Paper Pumpkin stamps, but if you do not have it, substitute any fairly small sentiment.  I used Early Expresso ink on a panel of Very Vanilla, then cut it with an oval Stitched Shapes Framelits die. The mat was die cut from an oval scalloped die from the Layering Ovals Framelits.

The Succulents were adhered to the sentiment ovals with some glue and Dimensionals.  On the back of the oval panels, I adhered a couple of glue dots, then wound some Gold Metallic Thread around a few times, passing it over the glue dots to secure them.  Peekaboo Peach Enamel Shapes were added to the centers and one Calypso Coral heart Enamel Shape was added to the sentiment.
Stampin' Up! Succulents Cardiology by JariI have layers of Very Vanilla and So Saffron card stock adhered to the Calypso Coral card base on the inside.  Three flowers were die cut using the smallest Botanical Builder Framelits flower die.and added to the right corner.  I adhered some So Saffron Enamel Shapes to the centers.

A complete list of card stock cuts and Stampin’ Up! supplies to complete this card will be at the end of the post.

Stampin’ Up! Dragonflies for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I’m sharing some Dragonflies on my card today for our Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  And here is our sketch:

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop Sketch Challenge March 30
Stampin' Up! Dragonfly Dreams Dragonflies by Cardiology by Jari

Our sketch this week gives us a starting point and guidelines for each sketch, so I really try to work with it as much as possible.  If you notice in the sketch it has 2 panels on the front, with one looking like a different color than the other.  I chose to use the same paper, but cut it so that it looks a little like it is two different panels of DSP.  I used one of the sheets from Falling In Love DSP and cut it so that the part of the paper with less design is on the top portion and the part with more design was on the bottom!  They were adhered to a panel of Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper.  Then, a length of Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon was adhered where the two panels met.

Stampin' Up D!ragonfly Dreams Dragonflies by Cardiology by Jari

I recently saw a card on Pinterest with dragonflies created using Vellum card stock, so I decided to try it, too.  You can see the card HERE.  The stamper used Watercolor Pencils, and since I knew they were not orderable from Stampin’ Up! right now, I decided to try using my Blender pen and inks on the Vellum.  I cut a rectangle of the Vellum and began coloring with Blushing Bride, Sahara Sand and Sweet Sugarplum inks, blending the colors as I went. Once it was dry, I just die cut it with the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlets Die.

Stampin' Up! Dragonfly Dreams Dragonflies by Cardiology by Jari

My sentiment, from Dragonfly Dreams, was stamped in Sahara Sand on Very Vanilla, and die cut with an oval Stitched Shapes Framelit Die. Then, I adhered the sentiment oval to a Blushing Bride scalloped oval and attached a Lace Doily to the back side with glue. The dragonflies were attached with glue dots just under the heads.  I cut a length of Silver Metallic Thread and attached it to the back of the sentiment ovals with some Glue Dots, then popped that panel onto the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The Falling In Love Embellishment added the finishing touch to the front.

I pulled out the Happy Mother’s Day sentiment from the Oh So Succulent stamp set and stamped it in Sahara Sand ink. Then, I added a strip of the DSP left over from the front for the bottom of the panel.

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Banners Happy Birthday

Today I am sharing a birthday card I created using the Birthday Banners stamp set from Stampin’ Up!

Stampin' Up! Birthday Banners Cardiology by Jari Panels of the Party Animal Designer Series Paper were adhered to a panel of Crushed Curry card stock.  At the point where the papers met, I added a layer of Crushed Curry card stock and wrapped a length of Emerald Envy 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon around it, securing it with small dabs of Liquid Glue and scotch tape on the back side.

I stamped the candle image from Birthday Banners in Emerald Envy and Crushed Curry on a panel of Whisper White and die cut it with a Layering Oval Framelit.  It was framed with an Emerald Envy scalloped oval.  The ovals were popped onto the front of the card with Dimensionals and I added a small bow created with Emerald Envy Baker’s Twine.  The sentiment and banner were stamped with stamps from Birthday Banners and then die cut with the corresponding banner die.  I popped it on with Dimensionals and added one Metallic Enamel Shape star.

Stampin' Up! Birthday Banners and Bunch of Banners Framelits by Cardiology by Jari

For the inside, I stamped the double banner, from Birthday Banners in Crushed Curry ink and the sentiment in Pacific Point, then used the Bunch of Banners Thinlets die to cut it out. The candle was stamped onto the Whisper White inside panel and the banner adhered with Liquid Glue.

What’s a birthday card without a decorated envelope?  It only takes an extra minute or two and really makes it even more festive.  Enjoy!

You will find a complete list of supplies used to create my card and card stock cuts at the end of the post.
