Hi Stampers, and welcome to our Thursday Happy Stampers Blog Hop!  We have a sketch challenge to play along with.  I used the Stampin’ Up! Botanical Blooms stamp set for my creation today.

And here is the sketch in case you would like to play along:

Stampin' Up! Botanical Blooms by Cardiology by Jari

Stampin’ Up! Botanical Blooms and the whole Botanical Gardens suite is one of my favorites in the Occasions Catalog!  I started by creating the flowers with the Botanical Builders Framelits Dies.  Then, I cut out the leaves and stamped the details with the Botanical Blooms stamps.  Notice that the DSP has also been stamped-the leaves and flower centers are free of detail so that you may add your own!

Stampin' Up! Botanical Blooms by Cardiology by Jari

I also used a stamp from Botanicals for You, from the Sale-a-Bration catalog, for the banner sentiment.  This set is free with any order of $50 before tax and shipping until March 31st. If you order the Botanical Blooms bundle, you can get Botanicals for You for FREE!!

I covered a part of the sentiment with tape before stamping, then removed the tape and stamped it onto the banner image from Bloomin’ Love. Notice that I also covered the two leaf images from that banner (with tape) and then stamped.  The banner and flowers are popped up onto the card base with Dimensionals, and the leaves added with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I decided to keep the inside very simple:

Stampin’ Up! the Sky is the Limit

Happy Saturday!  I decided to make a Valentine card using the Stampin’ Up! Sky is the Limit stamps from the Sale-a-Bration catalog.  This is a really fun set and what makes it even better is it can be yours for FREE when you purchase $50 in Stampin’ Up! products.  You only have a limited time to get your hands on this great set, though.  It is only available through February 15th.  If you love it as much as me, you need to hurry and get yours!

Sky is the Limit by Cardiology by Jari

I started out by stamping the bi-plane image from Sky is the Limit in Basic Black archival ink onto Very Vanilla card stock and fussy cut it with my paper snips.  Next, I layered the Typeset Specialty DSP onto a panel of Basic Black with Multipurpose liquid glue, then glued a strip of the stripe from the Typeset DSP to a panel of Basic Black and glued it to the front and popped it onto the Real Red base with Dimensionals.

Sky is the Limit by Cardiology by JariDimensionals were added to the plane and the hearts before popping  them onto the front.  My banner is stamped in Real Red with a sentiment from the Bloomin’ Love stamp set from Stampin’ Up! , and framed the banner with another banner in Basic Black. It was also added with Dimenensionals.

Sky is the Limit by Cardiology by Jari

I love this sentiment from Sky is the Limit, and I thought it worked well for this Valentine card.  What do you think?

Card stock cuts in inches:

Real Red base 4 1/4 X 11; scored and folded at 5 1/2; scraps for hearts

Basic Black front panel 4 X 5 1/4; inside 4 1/8 x 5 1/4; (2) 5/8 X 5 1/4  strips; banner 1 1/4 X 3

Typeset DSP (news) 3 7/8 X 5 1/8

Typeset DSP (stripe) 1/2 X 5 1/4

Stampin’ Up! Friendly Wishes for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Happy Stampers Blog Hop

I chose the Stampin’ Up! Friendly Wishes stamp set today for my share for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop.  Since Valentine’s Day is coming very soon, I decided I needed to get busy…

Friendly Wishes by Cardiology by Jari

Here is the sketch used for today’s  challenge:

12308488_1305621159464456_8777837047337384327_n

If you are in need of a quick and easy card, this one fills the bill.  For the background, I layered a panel of Love Blossoms DSP onto a little larger panel of Garden Green, then attached that to the Blushing Bride card base with multipurpose liquid glue.

Friendly Wishes by Cardiology by Jari

The sentiment, from Stampin’ Up! Friendly Wishes, was stamped in Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride, and Rose Red onto a panel of Whisper White using my Stamp-a-ma-jig.  Boy is that a life saver!  I framed the sentiment panel with a panel of Rose Red using Multipurpose Liquid glue to attach them, then popped it onto the base with Dimensionals.

Friendly Wishes by Cardiology by JariThe banner, from the new Bloomin’ Love stamp set, was stamped in Garden Green, and cut out using the banner die from the wonderful new Large Numbers Framelits Dies.  In case you did not realize it, this can be bundled with the Number of Years stamp set for a great $avings deal and will earn you Free items from the Sale-a-Bration sale going on right now at Stampin’ Up! I stamped Be Mine, also from the Bloomin’ Love stamp set, in Rose Red ink. I decided I needed a little bling, so I punched out a small heart of Blushing Bride glimmer paper using my Itty Bitty heart Accents punch.  It and the banner are popped onto the front with Dimensionals.

Friendly Wishes by Cardiology by JariFor the inside, I chose another sentiment from Bloomin’ Love, which I stamped in Rose Red onto a panel of Whisper White, then I added two more hearts and a bottom border with a left over strip of the DSP I used on the front.

Friendly Wishes by Cardiolgy by Jari

And here is a look at the decorated envelope and one of the inside flap of the envelope:

Stampin’ Up! Botanicals for You for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Happy Stampers Blog Hop

My card for the hop today is from the Stampin’ Up! Botanicals for You stamp set. This set is only available for a short time during Sale-a- Bration.  I am loving it, because it coordinates with the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies and the Botanical Blooms stamp set!

Stampin' Up! Botanicals for You by Cardiology by Jari

Today was a color challenge:

Happy Stampers Blog Hop Challenge January 28, 2016

This is really a quick and easy card using the FREE Stampin’ Up! Botanicals for You stamp set from the 2016 Sale-a-Bration catalog.  Just purchase $50 dollars of Stampin’ Up! items and receive this set or any of a host of other wonderful items for Free !

Stampin' Up! Botanicals for You by Cardiology by Jari

I used the leaf die from the Botanical Builders Framelits to cut the one side of my Whisper White panel.  Then, I cut a piece of Mint Macron to fill in the negative space of the leaf, and attached it to the underside with some glue from my Fine Tip Glue Pen.  Next, I stamped the large sentiment with Basic Black Archival ink and began to add the flowers and leaves with Melon Mango, Crushed Curry and Mint Macaron inks.

Stampin' Up! Botanicals for You by Cardiology by JariThe Whisper White panel was then attached to the Melon Mambo card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I used the stamp set, Butterfly Basics, also from Stampin’ Up!, to add the two small butterflies to the front.  They were attached with Dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Botanicals for You by Cardiology by Jari

To finish the card, I chose one of the other sentiments from Botanicals for You and stamped it in Basic Black archival ink.  The Crushed Curry butterfly is from Butterfly Basics, and the flower in Mint Macaron and Melon Mambo  from Botanicals for You from Stampin’ Up!

Stampin’ Up! Sky is the Limit for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Happy Stampers Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! the Sky is the Limit stamp set from the Sale-a-Bration catalog for my share for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop today.

Sky is the Limit Cardiology by Jari

And here is the sketch we are all working with:

Sketch Challenge for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop, January 21, 2016

First, I stamped the plane image from the Sky is the Limit with Versa Mark and heat embossed it with Basic Black Embossing Powder, let it dry and fussy cut it.  I did the same with the exhaust fume/sky writing image and set them aside.  Next, I punched out a Very Vanilla 2″ circle and stamped cloud shapes in Mint Macaron and framed it with a Basic Black circle that was just a bit larger.

Sky is the Limit Cardiology by Jarii chose another image from the  Sky is the Limit set for the sentiment, stamped it in Mint Macaron onto a strip of Very Vanilla cardstock, and used one of the dies from the Chalk Talk Framelits to cut it out. The card base is Basic Black. Before adding the Typeset Specialty DSP to it, I glued a strip of Mint Macaron cardstock near the bottom and wrapped a strand of Baker’s Twine around it twice. This layer was popped onto the card base with Dimensionals.

Sky is the Limit Cardiology by JariI glued the skywriting image to the cloud image with my fine tip glue pen and popped the whole piece onto the front with Dimensionals, The bi-plane and the sentiment were also popped onto the front with Dimensionals.

Sky is the Limit Cardiology by JariThe inside sentiment, also from the Stampin’ Up! Sky is the Limit stamp set, was stamped with Mint Macaron ink onto a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock.  I used a different strip of the Typeset Specialty DSP for the bottom trim.

Don’t you just love this new FREE Sale-a-Bration stamp set?  If you love it as much as I do, you’d better hurry up and order Sky is the Limit, because it is only here for a limited time!  Only available till February 15, 2016.  It can be yours for any order of at least $50.  What a deal!

Stampin’ Up! Bloomin’ Love for the Happy Stampers Team Hop

11960226_1268896359803603_8583437756952711798_n

Today’s Happy Stampers Team Blog hop features a color challenge for the last day of 2015:

12096205_1282833705076535_3973718640053185818_n

I used the new Stampin’ Up! Bloomin’ Love stamp set and the coordinating Bloomin’ Heart Thinlet Dies available on January 5th,  to create my card for today.

Bloomin' Love Card-iology by JariDon’t you just love the Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper?  It really adds some pizzaz to your projects!   The Bloomin’ Heart Thinlet Die (Heart) was my starting point.  After the heart, I used the two flower dies included in the set to create my Real Red and Whisper White flowers.

Bloomin' Love Card-iology by JariBefore die-cutting the flowers, I stamped Real Red ink onto the Real Red and Whisper White cardstocks using the flower stamps in the Bloomin’ Love stamp set.  Next, I stamped the banner from the set in Soft Suede and then stamped the sentiment, also from Bloomin’ Love, in Real Red ink.  The banner coordinates with the new Large Numbers Framelets Dies also available January 5th!

Bloomin' Love Card-iology by JariI added some small Pearl Basic Jewels to the center of the flowers and then punched 5 small hearts with my heart punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack in more of the Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper. Two of those hearts went on the outside, and the other three went inside.

Bloomin' Love Card-iology by Jari

The inside sentiment is also from Bloomin’ Love, and is stamped in Real Red onto Whisper White.  I know you are going to add this new bundle to your wish list for January 5th! The Bloomin’ Love stamp set and Bloomin’ Heart Thinlet Dies come in a bundle so that you can save 15%.  Isn’t that wonderful?!!  You will also want to check out the new Big Shot Die Brush-you can easily remove your die cut pieces with this great new tool.

11960226_1268896359803603_8583437756952711798_n

I used the upcoming stamp set, Going Global, from the Stampin’ Up! 2016 Occasions Catalog for my card for the Happy Stampers Team Blog Hop today.

GoingGlobal Card-iology by Jari

And here is the sketch we are working with:

10408699_1282829091743663_6821449687025678401_nFirst, the largest panel of the Going Places DSP was stamped with the Big Dipper stamp in Basic Black.

Going Global Card-iology by Jari

The globe shape was punched from the Going Places DSP with my 2″ Circle punch and layered onto two other coordinating panels from the same DSP with Dimensionals.  The sentiment banner was stamped with Basic Black onto a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock and also popped up on one end with Dimensionals.  The opposite end was snailed to part of the globe.

Going Global Card-iology by Jari

A panel of Basic Black cardstock was dry embossed with the Lucky Stars TIEF and glued to the Delightful Dijon card base.  The entire art panel was then popped onto the front with Dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, I chose Watercolor Words for the sentiment

Going Global and Watercolor Words Card-iology by JariI stamped with Gorgeous Grunge to create a sort of “galaxy” with Basic Black ink, onto a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock.   Then, I stamped the sentiment from  Watercolor Words, in Basic Black.  The stars were punched from Gold Foil with the Itty Bitty star Accent Punch and attached with glue dots. I glued the sentiment panel onto a panel of Basic Black and then that panel was also glued to the card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

You will be able to order this stamp set, Going Global, and the Going Places DSP beginning January 5, 2016,  Yippee!!  Let me know if you have not received an Occasions Catalog so that you can begin to make up your wish list!

Stampin’ Up! Party Wishes Birthday Card

I used the Party Wishes stamp set and the Party Punch Pack from the 2016 Occasions Catalog for my birthday card for today:

PartyWishes Card-iology by Jari

The Cherry on Top DSP helps to make this card quick and easy to put together!  I added a panel of the balloon DSP onto the Watermelon Wonder card base with multipurpose liquid glue then worked on the sentiment.

PartyWishes Card-iology by Jari

I cut out a circle with my Circles Framelits Dies and stamped the candles from the Party Wishes set which had been inked with Pool Party and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Write markers.  I used the XOXO stamp from the new Bloomin’ Love set also available in January.  The balloons and string are also from the Party Wishes set and were stamped with Watermelon Wonder, Pool Party and Bermuda Bay inks-the balloon strings stamped with Daffodil Delight ink.  I then punched the balloons out with the new balloon punch from the Party Punch Pack.  It includes the balloon, a cupcake and candle punch and is available as a bundle (save 15%)with the Party Wishes stamp set.

The banner is stamped with happy birthday from the Birthday Blossom stamp set in Watermelon Wonder ink.  Now for the inside:

Stampin’ Up! Hello You & Antique Tags

I used the Stampin’ Up Hello You Thinlets Dies and Antique Tags stamp set to create my card for today’s Happy Stampers Team Blog Hop.  We are all using a combination of Basic Black, Gold and White for the color challenge this week.

These colors remind me of a celebration, so I decided a New Year’s card would be fun:

Hello You and Antique Tags Card-iology by Jari

I love how easily this card came together once I decided what I wanted to do!  The Hello You Thinlets really came through for this burst of sentiment, and the Antiques Tags stamp set is perfect for the theme of the card.  (Wait for the inside!)

Hello You and Antique Tags Card-iology by JariI die cut the word happy twice from the Hello You thinlets dies and glued them together with the Fine Tip Glue Pen.   The sentiment was stamped from Antique Tags and notice that only part of the image was used here.  I taped off the parts I did not want to use before stamping with Versa Mark ink.  I removed the tape, then stamped onto a panel of Whisper White cardstock and sprinkled on Black Embossing powder.  Once dry, I used the banner from the Gift Card Envelope and Trims Thinlets Dies to cut out the sentiment.

Hello You and Antique Tags Card-iology by JariThe banner was framed with another banner cut from Gold Glimmer paper and attached to my sentiment banner with Multipurpose liquid glue.  The card base is Basic Black with a panel of Gold Glimmer paper attached to it with Multipurpose liquid glue, I cut out stars with the Itty Bitty accents star punch and the star from the Mini Treat Bag thinlets set in Gold Foil and Gold Glimmer paper, attached them with glue dots, glued down the gold happy sentiment with the Fine Tip Glue Pen, added a Gold Metal button with Gold Cording to the small sentiment and popped it onto a panel of striped Neutrals DSP with Dimensionals.  Finally, the sentiment panel was also popped onto the card base with Dimensionals.

Antique Tags Card-iology by JariThe inside was finished off with the whole New Years stamp image from Antique Tags with Basic Black Archival ink onto a panel of Winter Wonderland Vellum. Before stamping it, I attached the DSP to a panel of Whisper White cardstock with specs of glue from the Fine Tip Glue Pen, then I added strips of Winter Wonderland Washi Tape to the top and bottom for a finishing touch!

Card stock cuts and supplies will be at the end of the post.
