Stampin’ Up! A Whole Lot of Lovely

My share for today is from the Stampin’ Up1 Whole Love of Lovely Host stamp set.

Today’s card is inspired by the sketch over at Sunday Stamps SSC 110:

And my color inspiration is from the Just Add Ink Inspiration Challenge # 282:

Stampin' Up! A Whole Lot of Lovely Card-iology by Jari

I stamped the flower image from A Whole Lot of Lovely, one of the super Host Sets, with Basic Gray ink onto a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock to create a patterned background. This layer was glued to a tad larger piece of Basic Gray cardstock.   Next, I used Versa Mark ink and stamped another image from the same stamp set onto a piece of Melon Mambo card stock, then sprinkled it with Whisper White embossing powder.  It was heated with a Heat Tool and set aside to dry.  I adhered a piece of Melon Mambo Brights DSP onto the Smoky Slate with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

A Whole Lot of Lovely Card-iology by Jari

The sentiment was punched with a 2″ Circle Punch and glued to a 2 3/8″ Scallop circle (Smoky Slate) and a 2 1/2″ Circle (Basic Gray). A strip of Whisper White Organza ribbon was attached with Tear and Tape and then Dimensionals were added to the back before placing this layer onto the Whisper White Thick cardstock base.  Then the sentiment was added with Dimensionals.

And finally, the inside:

A Whole Lot of Lovely

The list of supplies for this project is at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Lots of Joy for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

11960226_1268896359803603_8583437756952711798_n

Welcome to our Happy Stampers Blog Hop!  So glad you could join us. Make sure you “hop” around the circle to see all of the fantastic projects everyone has created..  I used the Stampin’ Up! Lots of Joy stamp set to create my card to share for today.

Lots of Joy

My card was inspired by this design:

HappystampersOct1

I started out with a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock and placed it on my Simply Scored Scoring Tool to create the textured lines, then cut one end with my Banner Triple Punch and set it aside. Next, I took a piece of Real Red cardstock and used the next to the largest Banners Framelits Die and ran it through the Big Shot.

Lots of Joy

I chose my sentiment from the Lots of Joy stamp set and inked it up with Versa Mark, then heat embossed it with Silver Embossing Powder.  I adhered the Smoky Slate banner to the piece of Merry Moments DSP with Multipurpose Liquid glue.  The Christmas tree was punched from another piece of Merry Moments with the Tree Punch. I cut a length of Silver Cording trim and adhered it with a glue dot under the tree, then attached the tree to my Real Red Banner with Dimensionals.  The stars were punched from Silver Foil with the Itty Bitty Accents punch and the smallest star from the Stars Framelits, and attached with glue.  I added a Rhinestone basic jewel to one star with a glue dot, and used Dimensionals to attach the Real Red banner and the stripe DSP to the card base.

Lots of Joy

For the inside sentiment, I used Versa Mark ink and Silver Embossing Powder, a strip of left over DSP stripe and Real Red. and attached them with glue.

Lots of Joy My envelope was stamped in Old Olive ink using the tree image from the Lots of Joy stamp set.  You can find a complete list of supplies and card cuts at the end of this post.

Stampin’ Up! Pillow Box Thinlits Die for Halloween Treat

I have a quick and easy project from the Pillow Box Thinlits Die set from Stampin’ Up!  And, I used some of the stamps from the September Paper Pumpkin kit I just received. They are really cute!

Halloween Pillow Box Card-iology by Jari

First, I cut out the box in Basic Black using the die from the Pillow Box Die set.  Then, I placed the pumpkins die (included in the Pillow Box set) on one side of the box and ran it through the Big Shot twice to get the two rows of 3 pumpkins.  I placed a sheet of Tangelo Twist DSP on the inside and attached it with snail so that the polka dots would show through the pumpkin cut outs.

Pillow Box Card-iology by Jari

I used tear and tape to adhere the sides of the box together and folded the ends in.  Next, I cut a length of Tangelo Twist 5/8″ Striped Cotton Ribbon long enough to go around the box and then used Basic Black Baker’s Twine to tie a bow.  The sentiment was stamped in Tangelo Twist and Basic Black Archival Ink onto a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock using stamps from the September 2015 Paper Pumpkin kit, then cut out with the square die from the Pillow Box Thinlits Die set. Last, I used a clothespin to attach it to the ribbon.

Very quick and very easy!

Stampin’ Up! Oh What Fun

I have another really quick and easy card today from the Oh What Fun stamp set from Stampin’ Up!

Oh What Fun Card-iology by Jari

I had seen a similar card in one of the publications that Demonstrators receive from Stampin’ Up! and thought I could use the design for a cute Christmas Card.  I started out by using my Gift Card Envelope and Trims Thinlets die to cut out a piece of Kraft Cardstock on my Big Shot.  I adhered the bottom flap of the envelope to the sides with Tear and Tape and set it aside.

Oh What Fun Card-iology by Jari

Next I cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock that would slide in and out of the envelope easily and then decided where I wanted the sentiment to go.  I stamped the sentiment from Oh What Fun in Cucumber Crush ink, then went on to my bow.  I love the bow builder punch and really do not use it enough.  It is so easy and makes an adorable bow!  I cut a piece of Watermelon Wonder paper from the 2015-2017 In Color Designer Series Paper Stacks (polka dot) and punched out two sets of bows.  All of the parts of the bow are adhered together with Glue Dots.  I stuck a portion of a Tea Lace Paper Doily at the top edge of the bottom flap of the envelope with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and then added the bow with another glue dot.

I glued a Whisper White piece onto the Watermelon Wonder card base, then adhered a piece of Cucumber Crush 2015-2017 In Color Envelope Paper (stripe) to that layer with snail.  The envelope was popped up with Dimensionals. Then, on to the inside of my card.

Oh What Fun

I used more Cucumber Crush ink and stamped the sentiment and holly leaves onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock, which was also adhered with glue.  Finally, I used my Envelope Liners Framelits and lined my Whisper White envelope with more of the Cucumber Crush Envelope Paper and adhered it with Multipurpose glue.

Stampin’ Up! September Paper Pumpkin

Have you seen the September Paper Pumpkin kit from Stampin’ Up! ?  Every month, I am so excited to see what is in store for me.  This month’s kit is so cute.

Sept Paper Pumpkin

This kit contains enough supplies for 8 treat bags and tags, and the stamps are very fun, too!

I have 8 grandchildren, so this kit is perfect for me for Halloween treats for them.  Just don’t tell my husband there wasn’t one for him ok? 😈 Here is one of the bags I made:

Paper Pumpkin Sept 2015 Card-iology by Jari

I decided I wanted to also make a Halloween card using some of the stamps from this set, so I began to pull together all of the stamps I thought I could combine to make a Halloween scene.  I pulled out Sheltering Tree, Happy Scenes and of course, the September Paper Pumpkin offerings.  Here is what I came up with:

Halloween Sheltering Tree and Happy Scenes Card-iology by Jari

First, I stamped the tree from the Sheltering Tree set in Memento Black ink onto a panel of Whisper White.  I decided it needed some spiders to make it a little more creepy, so I masked off the web part of the stamp with scotch tape and inked up the spider and its dragline from Happy Scenes in Memento Black ink and stamped it as if they were hanging  from the 3 branches. Then, I added the rake which was stamped in Memento Black.  The leaves were inked with Delightful Dijon and Tangelo Twist and stamped across the bottom of the card.

Halloween

The pumpkins were cut out with a die from the Square Pillow Box Thinlets Dies and decorated with a Black Stampin’ Write marker, and popped up with Dimensionals.  I stamped the Witch’s Hat from the Paper Pumpkin set in Memento Black right onto the Whisper White piece and added the Boo sentiment from the Happy Scenes set also in Memento Black.  Happy Haunting, also from September Paper Pumpkin, was stamped onto a piece of Whisper White in Tangelo Twist ink. I used the smallest banner from the Banners Framelits die set to cut it out and trimmed the left end a little so that I could frame it in a piece of Tangelo Twist that had also been cut out with the same banner.

Halloween Sheltering Tree

For the inside, I stamped a pumpkin from the Paper Pumpkin stamps and a sentiment from the Happy Scenes set in Tangelo Twist, and the Boo, also from Happy Scenes, in Memento Black.  I added a left over strip of the DSP  to the bottom with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Oh What Fun Christmas Card

Oh What Fun Card-iology by Jari

Today’s quick and easy card is from Stampin’ Up! Oh What Fun stamp set and Home For Christmas Designer Series paper.

My inspiration for the design of the card is from Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 287  Make sure you head over there to see all of the other wonderful ideas from this sketch.

Sometimes I think people are reluctant to try card-making because they feel that it takes too much time, or the design is too complicated.  So, today calls for a quick and easy card!

Oh What Fun Card-iology by Jari

First, I cut a piece of Home for Christmas DSP and dry embossed it with the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder or TIEF for short!  Even though the paper had little white dots that look like snow, I thought the textured snowflakes would be a nice addition to the simple card. Then I cut out a circle of the Home for Christmas DSP with a circle from the Circles Framelits dies and squared off the right side and the bottom with my Stampin’ TrimmerIt’s attached to the snowy background with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Oh What Fun Card-iology by Jari

This new layer was glued to the red striped piece from the Brights Collection DSP.  I cut a length of Real Red 1/4″ cotton ribbon and wrapped it around this layer and tied a bow, then popped it onto the Real Red card base with Dimensionals.  Santa was fussy cut from the Home for the Holidays DSP and attached with Dimensionals.  The sentiment was stamped onto Real Red with Versa Mark ink and sprinkled with White Embossing Powder, then heated with my Heat Tool.  Once it cooled and dried, I ran it through the Big Shot with a Bitty Banners Framelit.  I also cut a Whisper White strip with the same Framelit to frame the red piece, glued them together, then popped it up with Dimensionals.

Oh What Fun Card-iology by Jari

The inside sentiment, also from the Oh What Fun stamp set was stamped in Basic Black.  I added a little strip of the stripe DSP to the very bottom of the Whisper White piece for a little accent.

Thought you might like a look at all of the great holiday stamps from Stampin’ Up!  Here they are all together-check them out in the new catalog, too.  If you do not have one please contact me and I will get one right out to you!  Or, you can click above on Stampin’ Up! catalogs to go to my store and peruse the Handmade for the Holidays catalog online.

Stampin’ Up! Vintage Leaves for the First Day of Autumn

Well, it is official, fall is finally here!  And so, to usher in the season, I have created a card from the Stampin’ Up! Vintage Leaves set.

Vintage Leaves Card-iology by Jari

I started by stamping several of the leaves from the Vintage Leaves set in Delightful Dijon onto a panel of Very Vanilla card stock.  Notice that some of the leaves in the background were stamped off first.  I wanted some of the leaves to be darker than others.  Next, I stamped the same leaf patterns onto Blackberry Bliss and Delightful Dijon in the same colors of ink and used the Leaflets Framelits Dies to cut them out.

Vintage Leaves Card-iology by Jari

For the sentiment, I chose a stamp from the For All Things set, but decided to use only a part of it.  I used some tape to cover the part I did not want, then inked it up, took off the piece of tape, then stamped onto a small piece of Very Vanilla.  I used the Banner Punch to cut it out-then punched a piece of Blackberry Bliss to fit behind it.  I positioned the punched leaves where I wanted them and attached them with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Vintage Leaves Card-iology by Jari

The stamped leaf image was attached to a piece of Delightful Dijon card stock with glue, then that layer attached to a little larger piece of Blackberry Bliss with more glue.  I cut a length of Hello Honey 5/8″ striped cotton ribbon and wrapped it around these 3 layers and tied a knot.  This layer was then popped up onto the Delightful Dijon card base with Dimensionals.  I popped up the small sentiment that had been layered onto the piece of Blackberry Bliss with Dimensionals and glued the Celebrate Expressions Natural Element with the new Fine Tip Glue Pen.

Vintage Leaves Cardiology by Jari

The inside was stamped with more of the leaf patterns from the front of the card in Delightful Dijon onto another piece of Very Vanilla card stock.

Card cuts and supplies at the end of the post.

If you are in need of stamping supplies, I would love to be your Demonstrator.  When you order from me, if you use the posted host code, you will receive a free gift from me.  If your order totals $150. or more, you do not need to use the code as you will receive your own Host rewards-but you will still receive a free gift from me.  Yippee!  Your free gift for September is a package of Expressions Natural Elements (the Celebrate from my card today is one of three different sentiments in the package!).

Stampin’ Up! Into the Woods DSP Thank You Notes

Today’s cards were inspired by the new Into the Woods Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up!  I thought it  would be fun to make a set of thank you cards that would be quick and easy,  like 15 minutes or less to complete!

Into the Woods Thank You Card-iology by Jari

Into the Woods Thank You Card-iology by Jari

I love all of this Designer Series Paper for making fall cards.  It was difficult to pick the side of the paper I would rather feature as they are all wonderful!  The card base for each is a Whisper White Notecard.  As you can see, I used several different stamp sets for the sentiments.

Vintage LeavesThankYou Card-iology by Jari

For this card, I used the Vintage Leaves set and stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink onto the same paper and cut it with the matching leaf from the Leaflets Framelets. The DSP is layered onto a piece of Rich Razzelberry cardstock, then attached to the card base with snail. The Thanks sentiment, from Another Thank You, is embossed with Gold Embossing Powder and layered onto a strip of Gold Foil paper, then finished off with a Gold Metal button and Gold Baker’s Twine.

Into the WoodsThankYou Card-iology by Jari

I used the Thankful Forest Friends stamp set for this sentiment, but colored only the parts I wanted stamped with Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive Stampin’ Write Markers.  The Into the Woods DSP is layered onto a piece of Rich Razzelberry with snail.  I wrapped a strand of Old Olive Baker’s Twine around this layer 3 times and tied a bow, then attached the sentiment layer with Dimensionals.  The Into the Woods Elements leaf was sponged with some Old Olive ink before attaching with a glue dot.

Into the Woods ThankYou Card-iology by Jari

For this card, I used the Hello You Thinlets for the Thanks sentiment.  I ran a piece of Tangelo Twist through the Big Shot 3 different times to get 3 layers of the word.  The layers are glued together with Stampin’ Up’s new Fine-Tip Glue Pen.  Very easy process!  The 3 layers stand out a little better than just one layer on this flat card.  The Into the Woods DSP is attached to a piece of Tangelo Twist, then attached to a slightly larger piece of Old Olive before being snailed to the card base.

Into the Woods Thank You Card-iiology by Jari

And the final card is rather monochromatic, but I love the acorn paper.  The sentiment, from For All Things, is embossed in Gold embossing powder onto Whisper White, then cut out with an Ovals Collection Framelit. I framed that layer with another oval in Soft Suede.  The acorn paper was layered onto a piece of Early Expresso card stock, then a length of Gold Cording Trim was wrapped around 3 times and finished with a bow.  This layer was then attached to the card base with Multipurpose glue.  The sentiment layer was popped up with Dimensionals and finished with an acorn from the Into the Woods elements.

The products used for my projects will be listed at the end of this post.

Stampin’ Up! Thankful Forest Friends

My fall themed card today is from Stampin’ Up! Thankful Forest Friends, Crazy About You and For All Things stamp sets.

Thankful Forest Friends Card-iiology by Jari

I saw a similar card on Pinterest and loved the different cut out of the card front.  I cut the Tangelo Twist card base 4 1/4″ X 11″ and folded at 5 1/2″.  Then, I cut down 2″ on the fold and then all the way across to create the short panel.

Thankful Forest Friends Card-iology by Jari

I cut a piece of Into the Woods DSP and adhered it to a piece of Soft Suede with Multipurpose Liquid Glue, then attached that new piece to the inside with glue.  Next, I cut a another piece of Into the Woods DSP, adhered it to a strip of Soft Suede and glued that onto the small front section of the card.  The bear, fox and rabbit were stamped onto whisper white in Early Espresso, Tangelo Twist, and Soft Suede and fussy cut.  I inked up the sentiment with Tangelo Twist and Mossy Meadow markers onto Whisper White cardstock and cut it out with one of the Chalk Talk Framelets.  It is attached to a strip of Soft Suede and Tangelo Twist also cut out with the Framelet.  The animals and sentiment are popped up with Dimensionals.

Thankful Forest Friends Card-iology by Jari

There is not a lot of room for writing on the inside of a card like this, so I colored a small sentiment from the Crazy About You stamp set with a Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Write Marker and colored some acorns from the For All Things stamp set with an Early Expresso Stampin’ Write Marker.

Thankful Forest Friends Card-iology by Jari

Card cuts and Stampin’ Up! products used in my card for today will be at the end of this post.

I used the Lovely As a Tree and Versatile Christmas sets from Stampin’ Up! for my Christmas card today.

Lovely As A Tree Card-iology by Jari

I started by stamping the tree from Stampin’ Up! Lovely As A Tree stamp set onto Whisper White Thick cardstock with Versa Mark ink and sprinkling Gold embossing powder over it.  I heat embossed it and adhered that piece to a panel of Gold Foil with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Next, I cut a piece of the new Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum Stack and attached it to a piece of Whisper White Cardstock of the same size with the new Fine Tip Glue Pen.  That pen is a life saver in small places!  I centered the tree and attached that layer to the DSP piece with Multipurpose glue. That new  layer was attached to another piece of Gold Foil with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I popped the whole panel up with Dimensionals onto the Whisper White cardstock and was ready to add a sentiment.  The Merry Christmas sentiment is from Versatile Christmas and was heat embossed with gold powder onto a strip of velum.  The velum layer was attached to another Gold Foil piece with glue and each end was punched with the Triple Banner Punch. a Gold Metal button threaded with Gold Cording Trim and tied in a bow was attached with a glue dot, then the banner added with Dimensionals.

For the inside sentiment, I chose Versatile Christmas, and again used Versa Mark ink, Gold Embossing Powder and head embossed it.  The pine bough is from Lovely As A Tree and is also embossed with Gold.
