Christmas Pines Noel for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Christmas Pines stamp set to create a Noel, or Christmas season card, for our hop today.  We are all playing with this sketch:

Stampin' Up! Christmas Pines Noel-Cardiology by Jari

This stamp set and the Pretty Pines Thinlets dies are still a favorite of mine despite all of the wonderful new sets in the 2017 Holiday Catalog!  I started by dry embossing a panel of Garden Green with the Softly Falling embossing folder.  Then, I adhered two panels of the fun Be Merry Designer Series Paper with liquid glue.  I used some Stampin’ Dimensionals to then pop this panel onto my Cherry Cobbler card base.

Next, I stamped Noel in Cherry Cobbler onto a panel of Whisper White Thick card stock and fussy cut it out with Paper Snips.  I also stamped the scrolly banner from the Christmas Pines set in Garden Green and fussy cut it out.  Noel was then adhered to the banner with dimensionals.  Several pine boughs were die cut using the Pretty Pines Thinlets Dies  and adhered to the front panel with glue dots.  I added a couple of other sprigs of Cherry Cobbler to fill it out and popped the banner on with dimensionals.  Three Rhinestone Basic Jewels were added for some bling to the front.

For the inside, I stamped a pine bough in Garden Green, stamping off once on scrap paper, then stamped the sentiment right over it in Cherry Cobbler.

A complete list of stamping supplies and card stock cuts will be at the end of my post.

Now, please head over to see Kristi Gray’s beautiful creation for today!

Your fussy cutting skills are beyond amazing. If I didn’t have those sets, I would think you were telling a tale because they look die cut. This DSP is my least favorite, but with your card as an example, I think I can use it!

    • Jari Francis | |

Thanks, Karen, I got a lot of practice long ago when I taught elementary school and the die cutting machines hadn’t been invented yet! LOL!

  4. Cyndee | |

I am a fan of this DSP and if a pine scent could be added, well then that would be just about perfect! ?

    • Jari Francis | |

That’s funny! Yes, it would be perfect, wouldn’t it! I do love this paper, too! I posted with it 2 days in a row 🙂
