Stampin’ Up! Window Shopping Birthday Card

I used the Window Shopping Bundle from Stampin’ Up! to create a Window Shopping Birthday Card to share today.

Window Shopping Birthday Card

My sketch was inspired by Sunday Stamps SSC #146.

SSC146

Window Shopping Birthday Card

I started with a panel from Party Animal DSP (polka dots) and adhered it to a panel of Pacific Point card stock with liquid glue.  I pulled out the Window Box Thinlets die (with the candles), placed it and a Stitched Shapes Framelits square die on a Whisper White panel and die cut them both out at the same time.  Crushed Curry, Pacific Point, Emerald Envy, and Tangerine Tango strips of card stock were adhered to the back of the candle cut out with dabs of liquid glue.  I love how those colors peek through the cut outs on the candles, don’t you?  The candles were then adhered to a little larger panel of Tangerine Tango.

I made a sentiment banner with one of the sentiments in the Window Shopping stamp set and cut it out with the small banner die from the Popcorn Box Thinlets Dies.

Next, I chose the row of candles pattern from the Party Animal DSP, and adhered it to some Pacific Point card stock for a center band.  A length of Emerald Envy Baker’s Twine was then wrapped around it twice and up through a small hole I punched in the end of the banner.  I threaded one of the Party Animal party hat Embellishments and then tied a bow.

I used the ink to rubber method for stamping the inside sentiment, using my Pacific Point and Emerald Envy Stampin’ Write markers.  For a finishing touch, I cut out two candles from the Party Animal  DSP and adhered them next to the sentiment with a little dab of liquid glue.

A complete list of card stock cuts and products used to create my card will be at the end of the post.

Window Shopping for Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Window Shopping Bundle to create a clean and simple card for our blog hop today!

Window

And here is our sketch for the week:

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop sketch

I started with a panel of Whisper White card stock and die cut the large die from the Window Box Thinlets a little below the center.  Then, I cut a panel of Blooms & Bliss DSP and attached it behind the cut out area with a little liquid glue.

Window

A length of Mint Macaron Sheer Linen Ribbon was adhered to the right side of the art panel by adding a little Tear & Tape Adhesive to the front and back.  Then, I adhered the panel to a little larger panel of Island Indigo card stock so that only the right side peeked out a little.  My next step was to adhere the whole thing to the Whisper White card stock base with Dimensionals.

Window

I stamped Thinking of You,  found in the Window Shopping stamp set, with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with White Emboss Powder.  I used my banner die from the Gift Card Envelope and Trims Thinlets to cut it out, then added some loops of Silver Metallic Thread to the end with a couple of Glue Dots.  One of the Falling In Love Embellishments was also adhered with Glue Dots and all that was left of the front was to pop the banner on with Dimensionals.

The inside has a Whisper White panel with a small strip of the Blooms & Bliss DSP used under the front cut out adhered to the bottom to leave room for a longer note.

And, there you have it, a CAS card for you today!  A complete list of supplies and card stock cuts in inches is located at the end of my post.

Now, on to the rest of the hop to see what Kristi has created for us today!  Thanks so much for joining us 🙂

Stampin’ Up! Window Shopping Thanks for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday

I paired up Window Shopping and Oh So Succulent from Stampin’ Up! for my share for the Blog Hop for today.

Shopping

We are playing with a color challenge, Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe and Old Olive this week.

Shopping

I started with a panel of Tip Top Taupe and adhered a smaller panel of Succulent Garden (the floral pattern) to it with liquid glue.  Next, I took a panel of the checked Tip Top Taupe Succulent Garden DSP the same width as my floral pattern and marked it lightly with a pencil 1″ up from the bottom of the left side and 2 1/2″ on the right side.  Then, I lined up my pencil points on my Stampin Trimmer and cut it on the diagonal. It was adhered then to the other panel with glue.

Shopping

I pulled out my Tip Top Taupe Mini Striped Ribbon, cut a length, added some Tear & Tape and adhered it on the diagonal where the two panels met.  I stamped the sentiment from Window Shopping in Tip Top Taupe ink onto a pre-cut square of Whisper White card stock, then cleaned off my stamp.  Next, I stamped the sentiment once again in Mint Macaron on another piece of Whisper White.  The center part of the sentiment was all I wanted , so I used the banner die from the Gift Cards Envelope & Trims Framelits to cut it out and layer it over the original sentiment.

Shopping

My sentiment panel was then framed with a panel of Tip Top Taupe.  I pulled out one of the Lace Doilies and glued it to the front of the card.  Dimensionals were added to the back of the sentiment panel and I wound some loops of Silver Metallic Thread around them before popping it onto the front of the card.  Finally, I added a few Pearls for some bling.

Shopping

Originally, I had planned to add some of the succulents from Oh So Succulent, to the front of the card, but decided against it.  So, they were added to the inside.  They are two-step stamps, so the inside of the succulent is stamped in Mint Macaron and the outside stamp is Old Olive.

A complete list of supplies and card stock cuts in inches will be at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Window Shopping & All Things Thanks

I combined the Window Shopping and All Things Thanks stamp sets, from the 2017 Occasions Catalog, to create a thank you card for my share for today.

Window Shopping

The inspiration for the design of my card is from Fab Friday 103.

FabFri103 Window Shopping

I started by inking up the sentiment from Window Shopping in Versa Mark ink.  I stamped it onto a panel of Crumb Cake and sprinkled Copper Embossing Powder over it and heat embossed the image.  Then, I wrapped a length of Mint Macaron Sheer Linen Ribbon around the panel and tied a bow.

Window shopping

A panel of Affectionately Yours Specialty DSP was adhered to a panel of Copper Foil with glue, then adhered to the Night of Navy card base.  I cut two different panels from the Affectionately Yours DSP and layered them unevenly, then popped the sentiment panel on with dimensionals.

Window Shopping

For the inside, I chose a sentiment from the All Things Thanks stamp set and stamped it in Versa Mark and then sprinkled it with Copper Embossing Powder. Once it was heat embossed, I added some trim to the bottom panel and adhered them all to the inside with glue.

Window Shopping can also be purchased as a bundle with the new Window Box Thinlets Dies, they both can be found on page 43 of the Occasions Catalog.  Look for an upcoming post with this new set of dies!

A complete list of products and card stock cuts are at the end of my post.

I received both of these stamp sets I used today for free, last fall at the OnStage Atlanta event.  This is a demonstrator event where we learn about the upcoming catalog products, learn new techniques, win prizes in the prize patrol, and have fun with fellow demonstrators.  Stampin’ Up! offers these events regionally so demonstrators from all over the country (and world) can attend one close to their homes.  This spring, our regional event will be in Savannah, GA, so most of our team will be attending.

Wouldn’t you like to join my team and be a part of my upline, Amy Koenders, team, Amy’s Inkin’ Krew?  We have members from all over the country and are able to meet via the internet when getting together in person is impossible . We meet via Google hangouts once a month, and in person, once a quarter (those of us not too far away). At our quarterly meetings, we have lunch, meet with others who could not make it via Goole Hangouts, and stamp fun projects together.   We can share ideas, ask questions, and share projects we have made. We also have a Facebook group where we interact daily with one another.

There are so many advantages to becoming a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator.  Questions?  I am happy to answer them. Contact me at cardiologybyjari @gmail.com  You can also read more of the fine print HERE.
