Stampin’ Up! Hang Your Stocking Mini Treat Bags

Today I have a couple of Mini Treat Bags using the Hang Your Stocking Bundle, all ready to stuff with some goodies.  I hadn’t used the Mini Treat Bags Thinlets in a while and decided to pull them out and create something.

Mini Treat Bags

If you are looking for a great little bag that comes together quickly and that you can decorate in any way your heart desires, this one is it!  The Mini-Treat Bag Thinlets have been around for a while, and I see why, they are really versatile.  I also love the Hang Your Stocking bundle for Christmas this year, so I pulled it out to decorate the fronts of these bags.

I used Mint Macaron card stock for the actual bags, and decorated them with one of the snowflake stamps from Hang Your Stocking.  They were stamped randomly onto the fronts with Mint Macaron ink, then I went over them with Wink of Stella.  The snow flakes are sparkling, but you cannot tell in the photo!

Mini Treat Bag

I used a sentiment from Tin of Tags for this mini treat bag, stamping it in Emerald Envy ink.  The holly and berries are from the Hang Your Stocking stamp set and are stamped in Emerald Envy and Cherry Cobbler inks.  For the banner, I used some Presents and Pinecones DSP and the Banners Framelits to die cut it.

Mini Treat Bag

For this mini treat bag, I die cut Noel with the Christmas Stocking Thinlets Dies and carefully added dots of liquid glue to attach it to the bottom.  I used a Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Write Marker to create stitching for the heel and toe of this stocking.  The frame was die cut with a scalloped oval from the Layering Ovals Framelits with a plain oval of Cherry Cobbler behind the DSP.

Card stock cuts in inches will be at the end of the post along with the products used.

Joy to the World for the Paper Players

I’m using the sentiment, Joy to the World, from Tin of Tags (on the retiring list and 20% off) for the focus of my card today.

Joy to the World

My card design was inspired by The Paper Players PP323

Paper Players 323

I started by layering a panel of This Christmas Specialty DSP onto a panel of Basic Black card stock.  I really love this sheet music design!  Then I chose the floral pattern from This Christmas DSP, and paired it with a panel of Garden Green.

Joy to the World

I cut a strip of Cherry Cobbler with one of the Flourish Thinlets Dies and adhered it to a panel of Garden Green to create a banner.  Joy to the World seemed appropriate for the sentiment and was stamped with Cherry Cobbler onto a panel of Very Vanilla. I used a Stitched Framelits Die to cut it out and framed it with a scalloped Layering Circle in Cherry Cobbler.

Joy to the World

Some Gold Natural Trim and Gold Baker’s Twine (on sale) were added before popping on the sentiment with dimensionals.

Joy to the World

The Merry Christmas sentiment is from Hang Your Stockings, and stamped in Cherry Cobbler.  I fussy cut some of the floral This Christmas DSP, and adhered it just above to break up some of the starkness of the Very Vanilla panel.

Card stock cuts in inches are at the end of my post along with Stampin’ Up! products used to create my card.

Year end closeouts

Stampin’ Up! Tin of Tags for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Tin of Tags for Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Wow, it’s December 1st!  My share for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop today is from Tin of Tags from Stampin’ Up! The countdown is really on for completing Christmas card making!

Here is our color challenge-and it was really a challenge for me!

Tin

I got some inspiration from the SIP challenge #76, too

SIP #76

I was happy with how it turned out and I love these colors together. So glad I tried them!

Tin

Instructions:

I used Soft Sky as my card base and added layers of Whisper White and Soft Sky from the Subtles DSP stack.  My art piece was stamped with the large snowflake image from Tin of Tags in Soft Sky.  I stamped the small snowflake image from Hang Your Stocking in Sweet Sugarplum.  Then, I dry embossed the panel with my Softly Falling Textured Embossing Folder and framed it with a panel of Sweet Sugarplum.

Tin

I fold/pleated two lengths of 3/8″ Sweet Sugarplum Glitter Ribbon and used glue dots to keep the folds together.  Then, I added some Tear & Tape adhesive to the backs and adhered them to the art panel.  Next I created my sentiment from Tin of Tags, coloring onto the stamp with Soft Sky and Sweet Sugarplum inks.  I cut the circles out with my Layering Circles Framelits Dies and adhered them, then popped them on with dimensionals.

A few Rhinestones Basic Jewels and Silver Sequins were added for some bling.

Inside:

Tin

I chose a different sentiment from Tin of Tags for the inside, and tried to mimic the front art panel somewhat.

Card stock cuts in inches and products used to create my card are at the end of the post

Jolly Moose for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Happy Stampers Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Jolly Friends stamp set to create my Jolly Moose Christmas card for our hop for today.  This week, we have a color challenge using these rich holiday colors:

Happy Stampers blog hop

I also used the sketch over at Fab Friday to give some creation inspiration

Fab Fri 99

Jolly Moose

I stamped my moose image from Jolly Friends in Early Expresso, and fussy cut him with my Paper Snips. Next,  I stamped the cap parts in Cherry Cobbler ink and punched them with the Jolly Hat Builder Punch.  The scarf was also stamped in Cherry Cobbler, but I fussy cut it. The sentiment is from Tin of Tags.  It was stamped in Garden Green, then die cut with a Layering Ovals Framelit Die.   I framed that oval with another scalloped oval in Cherry Cobbler.

Jolly Moose

My card base is Crumb Cake. First, I stamped the snow flake images from Christmas Pines several times in Garden Green ink onto my Garden Green card stock panel.  The banners were cut from the Warmth & Cheer DSP. Then, I swirled some Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green Baker’s Twine onto the front before adding the sentiment ovals with dimensionals.

Jolly Moose

For the inside, I stamped Merry Christmas, from Better Together, and die cut another oval.  Then, I die cut some “mistletoe” from the Pretty Pines Thinlets Dies and tied them together with more of the Baker’s Twine.

Card stock cuts and products used are listed at the end of the post.
