Thoughtful Branches for Christmas

Today’s card is another look at the Thoughtful Branches stamp set-it is only available today and tomorrow!  My last share was a sympathy card using this set, so I thought ,why not do one more, a Thoughtful Branches for Christmas card!

Thoughtful Branches for Christmas

I started by stamping the tree images from Thoughtful Branches right onto the This Christmas Specialty DSP in Early Expresso and Garden Green inks.  The ground image is also stamped in Early Expresso.  Next, I stamped the sentiment from Christmas Pines (available on September 1st, Yippee) in Cherry Cobbler ink directly onto the DSP.  I went back to Thoughtful Branches for my birds, stamped them in Cherry Cobbler onto Very Vanilla and die cut them with the Beautiful Branches Thinlets Dies (Bundle and SAVE 10%)

Thoughtful Branches for Christmas

Gold Foil stars were then die cut with my Mini Treat Bag Thinlets and added with a very tiny piece of Dimensionals. The birds also took a small piece of dimensional and were then popped onto the panel.  The lower left corner of the card front looked too bare, so I pulled out my Pretty Pines Thinlets (available Sept. 1st, YAY) and die cut 3 boughs from some Garden Green stock, then trimmed down some.  They are glued with a small amount of Liquid Glue, then I added some Cherry Cobbler Baker’s Twine to a Classy Designer Button and tied a bow.  It is attached with a couple of glue dots.  Garden Green is my card base, followed by a panel of This Christmas DSP.  The art panel is framed in Basic Black card stock and popped onto the bottom layers with Dimensionals.

Can you tell I really like this tree?  My sentiment is another one from the Christmas Pines set.  So, do you agree you need this set?  I am happy with my Thoughtful Branches for Christmas card, and if you want to see even more ideas using this set, check out this Pinterest Board for many more images of this wonderful set, and don’t delay on ordering it!

Thoughtful Branches Sympathy Card

Hi Stampers, today my share is from Thoughtful Branches by Stampin’ Up!  Time is really running short for you to add this wonderful bundle to your stash.  It is only available until August 31st.  More about that later…

I needed a sympathy card and wanted to showcase the Thoughtful Branches Bundle a couple more times to show you how versatile it is.

Thoughtful Branches

I started with a panel of Crumb Cake, and dry embossed it with an old favorite, the Woodland Textured Impressions  Embossing Folder then glued it to my Soft Suede card base.  Next, I stamped two sets of the grouping of 3 trees from Thoughtful Branches in Soft Suede, onto a panel of Very Vanilla.  The leaf images were stamped in Cajun Craze, some full strength, and some stamped off once onto a scrap of paper before stamping onto the art panel.

Thoughtful Branches

I chose a sentiment from Flourishing Phrases and stamped it onto the front in Cajun Craze with the help of my stamp-a-ma-jig for proper placement.  The three leaves were stamped in Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze and Soft Suede onto Very Vanilla and cut with the corresponding die from the Beautiful Branches Thinlets Dies, which may be purchased as a bundle to save 10%.  My art panel was then glued to a panel of Cajun Craze.  I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the panel 3 times before tying it to the leaves and then making a bow.  Dimensionals were added to the bactk before popping it onto the front of the card.

Thoughtful Branches

The inside sentiment is also from Flourishing Phrases and is stamped in Cajun Craze on a panel of Very Vanilla, then layered onto a panel of Crumb Cake and finally attached to the base with glue.

This is clean and simple and took very little time to put together.  Don’t you agree, you need this Thoughtful Branches Bundle!!  Get it soon…or it will be gone forever!

Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Branches Christmas Card

How about a Thoughtful Branches Christmas Card for the first day you can order the Thoughtful Branches stamp set and/or bundle?  I do love the versatility of this set and with the addition of the Beatutiful Branches Framelits Dies, how can you go wrong?!!

Thoughtful Branches Christmas

My color inspiration is from Fab Friday92

FabFri-001

The inspiration for my sketch is from the Sunday Stamps Weekly Challenge, SSC132.  Why not play along, too?

SSC132

My Thoughtful Branches Christmas Card came together actually very quickly.  I started by stamping the ground image in Soft Suede that I stamped off once, then stamped the tree trunk in Soft Suede onto a panel of Very Vanilla. I added the “needles” in Garden Green.  I found a small bird on the Tree Builder Punch and punched it out in Cherry Cobbler, then added some details and glued it near the base of the tree.

Thoughtful Branches Christmas

I used my Layering Ovals Dies to cut the Very Vanilla oval, then backed it in Cherry Cobbler with a Scalloped Die from the same set.  I made a star out of Gold Foil using the die from my Mini Treatbag Thinlets Dies and popped it onto the tree with a small dimensional piece.  I cut two lengths of the 5/8″ Burlap ribbon, added Tear & Tape Adhesive and adhered it to the striped This Christmas Specialty DSP that I had earlier attached to a panel of Very Vanilla stock with liquid glue.

Thoughtful Branches Christmas

I stamped the Christmas sentiment from the Time of Year Host Set in Cherry Cobbler onto a panel of Very Vanilla and die cut it with the corresponding banner die from Bunch of Banners Framelits. Then, popped it onto the front with one glue dot on the end attached to the art piece and dimensionals on the other half. This whole panel was then added to the Garden Green card base with dimensionals.

Thoughtful Branches Christmas

I chose a sentiment from Better Together and stamped it in Cherry Cobbler, then added a narrow strip of the This Christmas Speciallty DSP  to the bottom.

Hope you like this Thoughtful Branches Christmas Card, and it will encourage you to order this stamp set bundle today!

Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Branches Bundle

Today’s share is from Thoughtful Branches, the new limited time only stamp set bundle, available to you beginning August 2, 2016.

Thoughtful Branches

I’m also playing along with the TFIFc65.  I used the dies from the Thoughtful Branches bundle for my cutting.

TGIF JULY 2016 Challenges-005

I have actually had this bundle a few days now and have been dying to try it out, but I had 4 grandsons visiting last week and stamping got put on the back burner!  I will really miss them, though…….

Thoughtful Branches

When you are a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, one of the extra perks is that we can purchase many stamp sets ahead of our customers-and this one just happens to fall into that category.  I have been advertising the Thougthful Branches bundle for a few weeks now, and you have probably seen some samples on Pinterest-don’t you just love this set?   Until I received mine, I did not realize that I could create a hydrangea with it.

I actually die cut two flower tops, one in Elegant Eggplant and one in Perfect Plum, because that is kind of what mine look like when they bloom.  I offset the Elegant Eggplant onto the Perfect Plum when gluing together and once dry, I added Clear Wink of Stella all over the top, then placed a few Pearls Basic Jewels around the flower. The leaves are die cut in Wild Wasabi.

Thoughtful Branches

The Whisper White panel was dry embossed with the Brick Wall TIEF, then glued to the Elegant Eggplant card base.  I cut a narrow panel of Perfect Plum from the Regals DSP stack and framed it with a little larger panel of Perfect Plum, then glued down my hydrangea and leaves to it.  I wrapped a length of Elegant Eggplant Solid Baker’s Twine around the panel and tied a bow on the stem before popping this panel onto the front with dimensionals.

I chose a sentiment from the Thoughtful Branches set and stamped it in Versa Mark on to Elegant Eggplant, dusted it with White Embossing Powder and heat embossed it.  Once it cooled, I used the die from the Rose Garden Thinlets set to cut it out.  It is added to the front with dimensionals.

Thoughtful Branches

I really wanted to use 2 flowers on the front of my card, so I originally die cut two of each color, but when I decided it wouldn’t work, I set them aside to add to the inside.  They also have been enhanced with Clear Wink of Stella, though I do not think you can tell from this angle.  The sentiment is stamped in Elegant Eggplant ink.

Make sure you add Thoughtful Branches to your wish list!  Ordering is only a few days away!

A complete product list is at the end of this post, as well as card stock cuts in inches.
