Jari Francis, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

Stampin’ Up! Painted Harvest Thanks

I used the Painted Harvest and All Things Thanks stamp sets to create my clean and simple card for today.

Stampin' Up! Painted Harvest Thanks-Cardiology by Jari

My card base is Whisper White Thick.  I embossed a Whisper White panel with the Pinewood Planks Dynamic TIEF, then adhered it to a panel of Peekaboo Peach. (The panel was spritzed with a little water before dry embossing it)  I wrapped a length of Linen Thread around the layers three times, made several loops of more Linen Thread and created a bow.  The sunflower was stamped three times in Daffodil Delight, rotating my stamp each time about a quarter turn, then I stamped the smaller sunflower image in Peekaboo Peach twice, also rotating each time. The center was stamped in Soft Suede ink. Finally, I stamped the sentiment in Soft Suede ink.

My art panel was die cut with a Stitched Shapes square die, then framed with a little larger scalloped square in Peekaboo Peach using the Layering Squares Framelits Dies.  Three Rhinestone Basic Jewels were added for some bling and I left the inside blank for writing a message.

Card stock cuts and a supply list will be at the end of the post.

Stampin’ Up! Color Me Happy & Stampin’ Blends

I used the newly released (right now, just for demonstrators) Color Me Happy stamp set and the Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers to create my card for today.  Both items will be available soon for customers!  I will give you the details as soon as they are made available to me!

Stampin' Up! Color Me Happy-Cardiology by Jari

Here is a look at the stamp set with lots of fun images to color.

Stampin' Up! Color Me Happy

I started by stamping the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then began to color the shadow part in Night of Navy, using the darker of the two markers in the set.  Next, I colored in the rest of the letters with the lightest Old Olive markers and punched one end with my Banner Triple Punch. A second banner was cut from Night of Navy card stock for a mat for the sentiment banner.  The flower image from Color Me Happy was also stamped first in Memento ink, then I began with the darker shade of the two Daffodil Delight markers around the flower center.  The lighter shade was then blended to fill in the whole space.

Stampin' Up! Color Me Happy-Cardiology by Jari I adhered the banners with some liquid glue, then stapled a small length of the Night of Navy 1/2″ Gingham Ribbon to the corner.  The flower was fussy cut with my Paper Snips.  I added a couple of leaves that were die cut from the Flourish Thinlets to the back with Glue Dots, then popped it onto the banner with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  One Rhinestone Basic Jewel was then added to the flower center.

Stampin' Up! Color Me Happy-Cardiology by Jari

The card base is Night of Navy, with a panel of Old Olive adhered over it with liquid glue.  The next layer is Whisper White and Merry Little Christmas DSP adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The last step was to pop the banner onto the front with more dimensionals.  For the inside, I finished it with a panel of Whisper White with a strip of the Merry Little Christmas DSP added to the bottom, leaving room for a note.

A complete list of stamping supplies and card stock cuts will be at the end of this post.

Count My Blessings for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Amy's Inkin' Krew Team Blog Hop

Welcome to our monthly team blog hop.  This month, our theme is Giving Thanks, and I used the Count My Blessings stamp set to create my card.

Stampin' Up! Count My Blessings-Cardiology by Jari

This sentiment from Count My Blessings is a favorite of mine.  I just love the message as well as the font, don’t you?  I used the Layered Leaves Textured Embossing Folder to create some interest on the Crushed Curry panel, then added banners from two of the pretty patterns from the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper.  The leaves are from the Painted Harvest stamp set, stamped in Garden Green and Lemon Lime Twist and punched out with the Leaf Punch.  I also used the Patterned Pumpkin Thinlets for the three Early Expresso sprigs.

Stampin' Up! Count My Blessings-Cardiology by Jari

Once the sentiment was stamped, I used the largest Stitched Shapes circle die to cut it out and matted it with a scalloped circle from the Layering Circle Framelits Dies.  A length of Burlap Ribbon was adhered to the front with some Tear & Tape Adhesive, then I attached the leaves and sprigs to the back of the sentiment panel with Glue Dots and popped it onto the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Finally, the art panel was popped onto the Crushed Curry card base with more dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Count My Blessings-Cardiology by Jari

For the inside, I stamped the sentiment in Early Expresso ink  and added a strip of the Painted Autumn DSP to the bottom of the Very Vanilla card stock before adhering the whole panel to the inside with Liquid Glue.

A complete list of stamping supplies and card stock cuts will be at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Painted Autumn Harvest

Well, today is the day you have all been waiting for, the 2017 Holiday Catalog goes live!!  I’m sharing the long anticipated Painted  Autumn Designer series paper, paired with the oh so awesome Painted Harvest stamp set bundle. You cannot go wrong with this suite of items for your fall  projects.  Don’t wait too long to order, I am sure it will be a favorite of many!

Stampin' Up! Painted Autumn-Cardiology by Jari

This Painted Autumn DSP is loaded with so many rich fall colors, and the paper, well, it speaks for itself.   I let it make my card quick and easy for today.

A panel of Very Vanilla was adhered to Early Expresso with liquid glue.   Next, a thin strip of Early Expresso was added to the right side of the Painted Autumn DSP and both adhered to the Very Vanilla panel.  A length of Linen Thread was wrapped around the large panel three times and secured to the back with tape.

Stampin' Up! Painted Autumn-Cardiology by Jari

The sentiment was stamped in Versa Mark ink, sprinkled with Copper Emboss powder and heat embossed until smooth and shiny.  The Very Vanilla Stitched Shape oval was die cut and framed with a scalloped Early Expresso oval and then a little larger Crushed Curry oval then popped onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Painted Autumn-Cardiology by Jari

Two leaf images were stamped in Garden Green (the leaf outline stamp) and Lemon Lime Twist (the solid leaf stamp), and punched with the Leaf Punch.  One of the sunflowers from the Painted Autumn DSP was fussy cut with my Paper Snips.  I added the leaves with liquid glue and the sunflower with dimensionals.  A fun bow was created with more Linen Thread and the center of the bow pulled together with some of the  1/4″ Copper Trim.  Notice I pulled the ends of the Copper Trim apart to add some interest.

If you look closely, you’ll see the sunflower I stamped peeking out from the inside Very Vanilla panel.  The rest of the panel was left blank for writing.

A complete list of stamping supplies and card stock cuts are at the end of my post.

Background Bits Host Stamps for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I am sharing the Stampin’ Up! Background Bits Host stamp set for our color challenge today.

Stampin' Up! Background Bits Host Set-Cardiology by Jari

We are playing with Emerald Envy, Flirty Flamingo and Black this week.

Color Challenge for Happy Innkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I started by stamping the splatter image from the Touches of Texture stamp set in Flirty Flamingo onto a Whisper White panel, near the center. (I stamped off twice, then onto the panel)  Then, I adhered panels of Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper along the side and bottom of the stamped panel.  A length of Flirty Flamingo 3/8″ Striped Ribbon was adhered with some Tear & Tape adhesive at the top of the black DSP and around to the back of the panel.

Stampin' Up! Background Bits Host Set-Cardiology by Jari

Using my Banner Triple punch, I punched one end of a panel of Emerald Envy Naturally Eclectic DSP and adhered it above the ribbon.  Next, I wrapped a length of Basic Black Baker’s Twine around the panel three times and tied a bow.

Using my Flirty Flamingo and Emerald Envy Stampin’ Write Markers, I inked up the flower image stamp from the Background Bits Host stamp set, huffed on it several times and stamped it onto a panel of Whisper White.  (Huffing on it makes the ink moist again) I used my Layering Circle Framelits Dies to cut out the flowers and then mat it with a scalloped circle in Flirty Flamingo.

Stampin' Up! Background Bits Host Set-Cardiology by Jari

I wanted a fairly small sentiment, so I used the All Things Thanks stamp set.  It was die cut using the smallest banner die from the Bunch of Banners Framelits.  The banner was adhered with the small Stampin’ Dimensionals, then the circle art panel adhered to the card front with regular Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The last step was to add the whole art panel to the Emerald Envy card base with more dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Background Bits Host Set-Cardiology by Jari

The bottom of the inside panel was stamped with another image from the Background Bits Host set in Flirty Flamingo, and Thank You was stamped in Basic Black Archival ink.

A complete list of stamping supplies and card stock cuts are at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Hello Friend, Thinking of You

I used the Stampin’ Up! Hello Friend stamp set for the card I’m sharing with you today.

Stampin' Up! Hello Friend Cardiology by Jari

The inspiration for the card layout is from Fab Friday #119

FabFri#119

And, I am playing along with the color challenge at As You See It Challenge #156

As You See It #156

I have to admit, these are not colors I would have put together on my own, well, maybe the Lemon Lime Twist and the Elegant Eggplant.  But, the Real Red added to the mix was a challenge!  I do love the Lemon Lime Twist, as most of you who follow my blog have seen!

I started by dry embossing a Real Red panel with the Sparkle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, then adhered it to the Elegant Eggplant card base.  Next, I stamped the wreath image from the Stampin’ Up! Hello Friend stamp set in Lemon Lime Twist onto Whisper White.  The small flower images from the set were stamped in Real Red and fussy cut with my Paper Snips, then adhered to the wreath. A panel of Lemon Lime Twist was adhered to the art panel and then half of a Silver Foil Doily was adhered so that just a portion peeked out.  This panel was then adhered to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Hello Friend-Cardiology by Jari

Originally, I had only intended on stamping the wreath, but decided it looked a little bare, so I stamped the sentiment and cut it with a small Layering Circle die.  It was framed with a little larger Stitched Shapes circle in Elegant Eggplant, then popped on with dimensionals.  I punched the end of a panel of Lemon Lime Twist with my Banner Triple Punch, then adhered it to the art panel with glue.  Hello, from the Hello Friend stamp set was stamped with Elegant Eggplant ink and then fussy cut around the letters with my Paper Snips.  It was added to the banner with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Hello Friend-Cardiology by Jari

I had stamped several Real Red Flowers that I did not use on the front of the card, so I used them for the inside.  Before gluing them  down, I stamped a couple of leaves from the set in Lemon Lime Twist.  The sentiment is another from the Hello Friend set and was stamped in Elegant Eggplant.

A complete list of stamping supplies as well as card stock cuts are at the end of my post.

Each card base was cut from Whisper White Thick card stock.  For the top three cards, I single matted my Whisper White art piece with a panel that was 1/8″ larger for each.  For the bottom two cards, I double matted them.  It adds a little variety plus, I accidentally cut one of my art panels too small and had already stamped it!  There is a method to my madness-at least sometimes 🙂

Painted Harvest is a two step stamp set, and for each sunflower, I stamped the largest image first in Crushed Curry ink. Then, I stamped the second image with Peekaboo Peach for two of the cards, and Tangerine Tango for the other three. All of the leaves were stamped in Lemon Lime Twist.  I used a mask to cover each sunflower when I stamped them.  All of the sentiments were stamped using the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set.

These Mini Pizza Boxes (available Sept. 1st) are really great because they are food safe.  I can just imagine all of the wonderful sweet treats they could be filled with for the holidays!  Don’t you just love the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper (available Sept. !st)I used on the top of the box?  Get your wish lists ready the big day is coming soon.

The Mini Pizza Boxes and 3″ x 3″ Whisper White Envelopes can be found on page 44 of the 2017 Holiday Catalog.

Card stock cuts and supplies needed to create these note cards will be at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Bouquet Thanks

I used the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Bouquet stamp set Bundle to create the card I am sharing today.

Stampin' Up! Beautiful Bouquet Bundle-Cardiology by Jari

The inspiration for my sketch is from CAS(E) This Sketch CTS#234

CAS(E) this sketch #234

A panel of Whisper White card stock was adhered to Calypso Coral card stock with liquid glue.  Then, I added a narrow strip of the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper to the edge of the Whisper White panel.

Stampin' Up! Beautiful Bouquet Bundle-Cardiology by Jari

I stamped the flowers from Beautiful Bouquet in Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral and Peekaboo Peach onto Whisper White card stock.  Then, I used the Bouquet Bunch Framelits, which are part of the bundle (save 10%), to cut them out. The stems were also die cut from the Framelits using Pear Pizzaz and Night of Navy card stocks.  The flower bunch wrapper was stamped in Crumb Cake ink onto Whisper White and cut out with the corresponding die.  I made a double bow with Linen Thread and adhered it with a glue dot.

Stampin' Up! Beautiful Bouquet-Cardiology by Jari

Next, I glued down the Pear Pizzaz and Night of Navy stems to the Whisper White panel and arranged the die cut flowers, adding them with Stampin’ Dimensionals and a few on the outer edges with liquid glue.  The flower wrapper was adhered to the stems with a small amount of liquid glue.  I stamped the sentiment, also from Beautiful Bouquet, in Calypso Coral on a panel of Whisper White.  Then, the sentiment was die cut using the banner die from the Popcorn Box Thinlets Dies.  A few Rhinestone basic jewels were added and the whole panel popped onto the Pear Pizzaz card stock base with dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Beautiful Bouquet-Cardiology by Jari

My Whisper White inside panel was stamped with another sentiment from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set in Calypso Coral and a narrow strip of the Delightful Daisy DSP added to the bottom.  I had a few flowers left over so I added them to the bottom of the panel with liquid glue and then adhered the whole sentiment panel to the card base with more liquid glue.

A complete list of stamping supplies and card stock cuts are at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Daisy Delight Thank You

I used the Stampin’ Up! Daisy Delight Bundle to create the Thank You card I’m sharing with you today.

Stampin' Up! Daisy Delight Thank You-Cardiology by Jari

The colors for my thank you card were inspired by Fab Fri#118

FabFri#118

And my sketch was inspired by Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch #255

Paper Craft Crew #255

I started with a Whisper White panel and stamped the splatter image from Touches of Texture in Flirty Flamingo near the center.  Then, I stamped the sentiment from Daisy Delight in Melon Mambo near the bottom.  This panel was then adhered to a panel of Lemon Lime Twist.

Stampin' Up! Daisy Delight Thank You-Cardiology by Jari

Next, I stamped one of the images from Background Bits in Flirty Flamingo onto a panel of Whisper White and used the Washi Tape die from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlets to cut it out.  It was adhered to the art panel and then a length of Lemon Lime Twist 1/4″ Ombre Ribbon adhered to the side with some tape securing it in the back.

Stampin' Up! Daisy Delight Thank You-Cardiology by Jari

I stamped two of the daisy images in Flirty Flamingo, then I used my Blender Pen and Melon Mambo ink to pull some more color near the center of the leaves.  For some dimension to the flowers, I used my Bone Folder to gently curve the petals.  The two flowers were lined up so that there were no gaps in between the petals and then glued together.  A Gold Faceted Gem was added to the center and I created the leaves.  The outline leaf is full strength Lemon Lime Twist and the inside was Lemon Lime Twist stamped off once.  The daisy and leaves were added with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then the whole art panel popped onto the Melon Mambo card base with more dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Daisy Delight Thank You-Cardiology by Jari

The sentiment and small flower images are also from Daisy Delight, and were stamped in Melon Mambo ink.

When I began creating my card, I wasn’t sure which color I wanted for the outside sentiment, so I had an extra Whisper White panel stamped Flirty Flamingo.  Instead of throwing it out, I also created this card, so now, I have two thank you cards ready to send!

A complete list of stamping supplies and card stock cuts will be at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Painted Harvest Sneak Peek!

Today, I’m sharing a sneak peek of the new Painted Harvest stamp set from the 2017 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog, available on September 1st.  I know you are going to love it as much as I do!

Stampin' Up! Painted Harvest-Cardiology by Jari

The Painted Harvest stamp set(available September 1st)  is photopolymer and the images are created for two step stamping.  I started by inking up the sunflower images in Crushed Curry and Peekaboo Peach.  The larger, more undefined flower was stamped first in Crushed Curry, then the smaller stamp in Peekaboo Peach, with the center being stamped in Early Espresso.  I fussy cut the first sunflower with my Paper Snips, and since I was happy with the colors, I stamped several sunflowers on a panel of Whisper White.  Then, I went back and stamped the dotted images in Early Expresso using second generation stamping.  (Where you stamp off onto scrap paper first, then stamp onto your art panel)

Stampin' Up! Painted Harvest-Cardiology by Jari

The art panel was then adhered to a panel of Copper Foil with Liquid Glue.

I used my banner triple punch to notch one end of my Early Expresso banner, then inked it up with my sentiment in VersaMark ink.  I sprinkled on Copper Emboss powder, shook off the excess and heat embossed it until shiny.  For the leaves, I inked the  solid image in Garden Green, stamped them off once, then stamped them onto a panel of Whisper White.  The second leaf image was inked in Lemon Lime Twist and stamped full strength over the first stamping.  They were then fussy cut with my Paper Snips.  Three accent sprigs were die cut in Copper Foil from the Bouquet Bunch Framelits Dies and set aside.

Stampin' Up! Painted Harves-Cardiology by Jari

The banner was adhered to the art panel with liquid glue, then I dry fit the sunflower, leaves and sprigs.  When I was happy with their placement, I wound a length of Linen Thread around the back of the sunflower and secured it with Glue Dots.  Then, I added the sunflower, leaves and sprigs with Stampin’ Dimensionals, Glue Dots and Liquid Glue.  Finally, the art panel was complete, and I adhered it to the Early Expresso/Peekaboo Peach base with dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Painted Harvest-Cardiology by Jari

I chose a different sentiment from Painted Harvest (available September 1st) to stamp on the inside of my card.  It was also heat embossed with Copper Emboss Powder.  Another sunflower image with leaves was stamped in the corner using the same two step method and colors as instructed for the card front.

A complete list of stamping supplies and card stock cuts will be at the end of this post.

My card sketch was inspired by the sketch that Christy created for this months sketch challenge at Craft Project Central.

I hope you’ll try this one out and post it on Craft Project Central, too!
