Stampin’ Up! Suite Seasons for Christmas

I have another really quick and easy Christmas card today using Suite Seasons from Stampin’ Up!

Seasons

First, I attached a panel of This Christmas Specialty DSP  to my Very Vanilla card stock base.  Then, I cut a banner and a thin strip from two other designs of the same DSP and attached them to the front of the card.  A length of Silver Sequins were then attached on top of the green banner.

Seasons

Using my Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green Stampin’ Write Markers, I colored the sentiment stamp, huffed on it several times and stamped it onto a panel of Very Vanilla.  I used my Layering Squares Framelits to cut out the sentiment panel and the Cherry Cobbler frame for the sentiment.  Once they were glued together, I popped that panel onto the front with dimensionals.

Seasons

For the inside of the card, I chose a sentiment from the Star of Light stamp set and stamped it in Garden Green onto a panel of Very Vanilla.  I fussy cut the floral image from another piece of the This Christmas DSP and glued it beside my sentiment.  Then, I added another strip of the patterned DSP that I had used on the front of the card to finish it off.

And, there you have it. a very quick and easy Christmas card!!

Card stock cuts in inches are at the end of my post.

Today, I attended the Stampin’ Up! On Stage Event for Demonstrators in Atlanta.  Several from our team, Amy’s Inkin Krew, were in attendance and we absolutely had a blast!  We got to see the new Occasions Catalog and the Sale-a-Bration catalog both beginning in January!  But, best of all, we got to play with a lot of the new stamp sets.  Woo-Hoo they are awesome!  I cannot share any of my pictures of the stamps or products or catalogs until Monday afternoon, so stay tuned!

You are going to love all of the new products.  Just one of the many perks of becoming a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator.  If you love stamping and Stampin’ Up! products, you really ought to consider becoming a demo.  Contact me for information on joining my team.

Here is one picture of some of our team at the end of a wonderful stamping day!

Candy Cane Christmas for the Happy Stampers

Happy Stampers Blog Hop

It’s a Candy Cane Christmas for the Happy Stampers Color Challenge today.  I love the colors we are working with, they are just perfect for a Christmas card.

Happy Stampers color challengey

Here is my card:
stampin-up-candy-cane-christmas-cardiology-by-jari-002

This card is really quick and easy!  I started by stamping the images from Candy Cane Christmas onto a panel of Whisper White Cardstock, using, you guessed it, our color challenge colors: Real Red, Crumb Cake and Early Expresso.  This art panel was then adhered to a panel of Crumb Cake Cardstock with liquid glue.  I cut a panel from Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper to add to the left side.

Candy Cane

Next, I stamped a sentiment from Candy Cane Christmas, using Early Expresso ink on a panel of Whisper White. It is die cut with a Layering Circles die and framed with three other circles using Early Expresso, Crumb Cake and Real Red Cardstock.  They were adhered with liquid glue and popped onto the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The right lower corner of the card seemed a little to bare, so I stamped a gingerbread boy with my Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set in Early Expresso onto a panel of Whisper White Thick cardstock.  He was punched out with the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch.  I added a candy cane that I fussy cut with my Paper Snips to his arm with liquid glue and popped him onto the front with a couple of dimensionals.

candy cane

Then, this whole art panel was popped onto the Real Red Cardstock base with dimensionals.  And now, the inside:

candy cane

This sentiment is from Suite Seasons.  Some of the font is similar to the front of the card, so I thought it would work perfectly.  It is stamped in Early Expresso ink.  I finished the bottom of the panel with a length of the gumdrop patterned Candy Cane Lane Designer Washi Tape.

Stampin’ Up! Suite Seasons Christmas Card

Today’s share is another Christmas Card, and I am using the Suite Seasons stamp set.  I know we haven’t even gotten to October yet, but the Christmas crunch will sneak up on us quickly, thus the need to get a few cards done ahead of time! Do you also find that once September is over, the mad rush toward the end of the year is sometimes overwhelming?

Back to my Suite Seasons card…..

suite seasons

I am playing along with the sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches.

freshly made sketches

My card base is Very Vanilla. I cut a panel from This Christmas Specialty DSP and adhered it to a little larger panel of Garden Green with liquid glue.  I inked up Merry Everything, happy always, from Suite Seasons, using Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green Stampin’ Write Markers and stamped it onto a panel of Very Vanilla.

suite seasons

I adhered a panel of Cherry Cobbler to the DSP layer, then cut a length of 3/8″ Cherry Cobbler Taffeta Ribbon and adhered it to the front and back with Tear & Tape adhesive.   The sentiment is popped onto the Cherry Cobbler panel with dimensionals, and I made a small bow that is tied up with Cherry Cobbler Baker’s Twine and a sprig of holly from the Christmas Trinkets Embellishments pack.  Everything was then ready to go onto the base with more dimensionals.

suite seasons

For the inside sentiment, I inked up a stamp from Wonderful Year with my Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green Markers and stamped it on to a panel of Very Vanilla.  The bottom has a strip of another one of the papers in the This Christmas Specialty DSP pack adhered to it with liquid glue.

Stampin’ Up! Paisleys & Posies Sympathy

Today I am sharing a Sympathy Card using the Paisleys & Posies stamp set, the Paisley Framelits Dies and the Petals and Posies Specialty Designer Series Paper.  I also added some of the matching 3/8″ Ribbon from the Ribbon trio pack in this suite of products.

Paisleys & Posies Sympathy

My  sketch was inspired by the one at Retro Sketches this week, RS#230

Retro Sketches RS230

And the circle images are inspired by The Paper Players PP311

Paper Players 311

Because this Designer Series Paper is so beautiful all by itself, I decided to make my sentiment panel a little smaller than suggested in the sketch.  I stamped a panel of Very Vanilla with the sentiment from Suite Seasons in Rich Razzleberry ink and framed it with a little larger panel of Rich Razzleberry card stock using liquid glue.

Paisleys & Posies Sympathy

Next, I stamped some of the images from Paisleys & Posies onto Very Vanilla card stock and cut them out with the Paisley Framelits Dies. Then, I used my Stampin’ Write Markers to fill in some of the uncolored spaces in the images. They were then popped onto the sentiment panel with dimensionals.  I layered the Petals & Paisleys DSP onto a tiny bit larger panel of Rich Razzelberry and adhered the Delightful Dijon ribbon to it first with some Tear & Tape Adhesive.  Next came the Rich Razzleberry Ribbon, leaving a little space between them, so that I could overlap the Mint Macaron ribbon on top.

I popped on the sentiment panel over the ribbons with dimensionals, then added all of that new panel to the front of my Night of Navy card base with dimensionals.

Paisleys Posies Sympathy

The inside sentiment is from Flourishing Phrases, and is stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink.  Then, I added another strip of that beautiful DSP to the bottom.

Paisleys & Posies Sympathy

To  complete my Sympathy Card, I added a stamped image from Paisleys and Posies to the front of the envelope.  Dimensions in inches and Stampin’ Up! Products used in creating my card will be at the end of the post.

Stampin’ Up! Giving Thanks at Thanksgiving

Want a fun way for Giving Thanks to family and friends at Thanksgiving?   I am sharing a trio of projects you can use for your holiday table setting.  The Pilgrim pair are compliments of Publix Supermarket!

Giving Thanks

I made a place setting holder using my Gift Card Envelope and Trims Thinlets Dies,Layering Ovals Framelits,  Kraft card stock, Copper Foil card stock , Night of Navy card stock and Petals and Paisleys Specialty DSP.

Give Thanks

I made a belly band with the Paisleys and Posies DSP, then stamped the sentiment, from  Paisleys and Posies, in Versa Mark onto Night of Navy.  It was sprinkled with Copper Embossing Powder and heat embossed.  When cooled, I die cut it with a Layering Oval die and framed it in a little larger Copper Foil Layering Oval.  The idea for this came from Allison Okamitsu.  See her project HERE.

Giving Thanks

For the bag of treats, I used one of the Gusseted Cellophane Bags and lined it partially with the same piece of Paisleys and Posies DSP as used on the belly band above.  The Hersheys Nuggets are also wrapped with a !” X 3″ panel of this DSP and secured with glue dots.  I saw the idea for the bag over at Lisa Curcio’s blog.

The place card is a piece of Night of Navy card stock 4 1/8″ X  4 1/4″ scored and folded at 2 1/8″.  I added a panel of Very Vanilla that had the corners rounded with my Project Life Corner Rounder Punch.  The banner sentiment is from Sheltering Tree, stamped in Versa Mark and heat embossed with Copper Embossing Powder.  Next, I die cut 2 of the leaf images from the Paisley Framelits Dies in Copper Foil and attached them to the end of the banner with liquid glue. The banner was attached to the place card with dimensionals.

Stampin’ Up! Jolly Friends for the Happy Stampers

Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Hi, and welcome to another Happy Stampers Blog Hop!  My share for today is using the Jolly Friends stamp set from the new Stampin’ Up!  Holiday Catalog   Just a few more days and you will be able to order all of the new goodies.  I hope you have received your new catalog so that you can make your list.

Our challenge today was to create a project using these colors:

Happy Stampers Jolly Friends

I was determined to use one of my new holiday stamp sets and Jolly Friends seemed to catch my eye.  But, you say, these are not really holiday colors!  Well, maybe I am stretching my imagination a little, but that is part of the fun, right?!

What do you  think?

JollFriendsy

I started by building my elf and his hat and scarf from Jolly Friends.  First I stamped the elf face in Soft Suede onto Whisper White Thick card stock, then added some pink to his cheeks using Pink Pirouette and a Q-tip.  Then, I fussy cut it out using my paper snips.  Next, I stamped the scarf, hat pieces and the bell.  I used Old Olive ink on the scarf and hat pieces and then filled in the spaces with my Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Write Marker.  The bell is stamped in Bermuda Bay ink.  I pulled out my Jolly Hat Builder Punch (available as a bundle to save !0% with this stamp set) and punched out the hat pieces.

Jolly Friends

For the Crumb Cake panel, I stamped the “snow” images from Jolly Friends in Versa Mark and heat embossed them with White Embossing Powder.  Next, I created the banner sentiment using one of the sentiments from Cookie-Cutter Christmas, another new stamp set in the Holiday Catalog.  It is stamped in Old Olive ink on a panel of Whisper White and punched with the Duet Banner Punch.  I also punched one in Bermuda Bay and one in Old Olive, cut them in half and adhered them to the White one with glue.

Jolly Friends

I popped my elf parts onto the front with dimensionals, added the banner sentiment with dimensionals and then added some Bermuda Bay sequins with glue dots.  This whole panel was then ready to be added to the Bermuda Bay card base (with dimensionals) that is layered with a panel of Berumda Bay from the Brights Designer Series Paper Stacks.

Jolly Friends

For the inside, I chose a sentiment from Suite Seasons, another new set found in the Holiday Catalog, and stamped it in Bermuda Bay ink.

Stampin’ Up! products used in my card will be listed at the end of my post.  But now, it’s time to see what beautiful creation Kristi has for us today!

Stampin’ Up! Suite Seasons

Today’s share is another sneak peek from the Holiday Catalog using Suite Seasons from Stampin’ Up!

Suite Seasons

I am also using some of the new Petals & Paisleys Specialty Designers Series Paper.  This paper is the bomb!  I am loving the paisley patterns and all of the colors in it too.  I used Delightful Dijon, Night of Navy and Mint Macaron card stock under the Petals and Paisleys DSP.

Suite Seasons

The sentiment is from Suite Seasons, which you can use for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas cards.  I stamped it in Rich Razzleberry ink onto a panel of Very Vanilla card stock, then die cut it with a Layering Oval Framelit die.  Then, I framed it in a little larger oval using Night of Navy card stock.  Before attaching it to the front with dimensionals, I cut a length of Mint Macaron 5/8 ” Striped Ribbon , tied a bow around it with Linen Thread and attached it with Tear & Tape adhesive.

Suite Seasons

I left the inside plain except for a strip of the Petals & Paisleys DSP attached to the bottom of the Very Vanilla panel.

Suite Seasons should be a definite addition to your wish list from the new Holiday Catalog.  There are several fonts to complete your holiday cards!
