Stampin’ Up! the Sky is the Limit

Happy Saturday!  I decided to make a Valentine card using the Stampin’ Up! Sky is the Limit stamps from the Sale-a-Bration catalog.  This is a really fun set and what makes it even better is it can be yours for FREE when you purchase $50 in Stampin’ Up! products.  You only have a limited time to get your hands on this great set, though.  It is only available through February 15th.  If you love it as much as me, you need to hurry and get yours!

I started out by stamping the bi-plane image from Sky is the Limit in Basic Black archival ink onto Very Vanilla card stock and fussy cut it with my paper snips.  Next, I layered the Typeset Specialty DSP onto a panel of Basic Black with Multipurpose liquid glue, then glued a strip of the stripe from the Typeset DSP to a panel of Basic Black and glued it to the front and popped it onto the Real Red base with Dimensionals.

Sky is the Limit by Cardiology by JariDimensionals were added to the plane and the hearts before popping  them onto the front.  My banner is stamped in Real Red with a sentiment from the Bloomin’ Love stamp set from Stampin’ Up! , and framed the banner with another banner in Basic Black. It was also added with Dimenensionals.

I love this sentiment from Sky is the Limit, and I thought it worked well for this Valentine card.  What do you think?

Stampin’ Up! Sky is the Limit for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Happy Stampers Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! the Sky is the Limit stamp set from the Sale-a-Bration catalog for my share for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop today.

And here is the sketch we are all working with:

Sketch Challenge for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop, January 21, 2016

First, I stamped the plane image from the Sky is the Limit with Versa Mark and heat embossed it with Basic Black Embossing Powder, let it dry and fussy cut it.  I did the same with the exhaust fume/sky writing image and set them aside.  Next, I punched out a Very Vanilla 2″ circle and stamped cloud shapes in Mint Macaron and framed it with a Basic Black circle that was just a bit larger.

Sky is the Limit Cardiology by Jarii chose another image from the  Sky is the Limit set for the sentiment, stamped it in Mint Macaron onto a strip of Very Vanilla cardstock, and used one of the dies from the Chalk Talk Framelits to cut it out. The card base is Basic Black. Before adding the Typeset Specialty DSP to it, I glued a strip of Mint Macaron cardstock near the bottom and wrapped a strand of Baker’s Twine around it twice. This layer was popped onto the card base with Dimensionals.

Sky is the Limit Cardiology by JariI glued the skywriting image to the cloud image with my fine tip glue pen and popped the whole piece onto the front with Dimensionals, The bi-plane and the sentiment were also popped onto the front with Dimensionals.

Sky is the Limit Cardiology by JariThe inside sentiment, also from the Stampin’ Up! Sky is the Limit stamp set, was stamped with Mint Macaron ink onto a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock.  I used a different strip of the Typeset Specialty DSP for the bottom trim.

Don’t you just love this new FREE Sale-a-Bration stamp set?  If you love it as much as I do, you’d better hurry up and order Sky is the Limit, because it is only here for a limited time!  Only available till February 15, 2016.  It can be yours for any order of at least $50.  What a deal!

Card stock cuts and supplies will follow at the end of the post.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I have been on hiatus from stamping for a few weeks because we have been moving, and it has consumed all of my waking hours!  I hope to be back in full swing very soon.  Packing, unpacking and arranging takes WAY too much time-especially when it is not stamping time! 🙂
