Stampin’ Up! Colorful Seasons Sneak Peek

I’m sharing a sneak peek of the new Colorful Seasons Bundle from the Stampin’ Up! 2017-2018 Annual Catalog with you today.  This set caught my eye at OnStage and I was so glad it was part of the pre-order for demonstrators.  I love it because it is a photopolymer stamp set and it can be used year round!  I am crazy about the sentiments, too

Colorful Seasons (available June 1st), is part of the Color Theory Suite of products.

Stampin' Up! Colorful Seasons Color Theory Suite Cardiology by jari

The inspiration for my Colorful Seasons card came from one found in the new catalog!  I will be sending out new catalogs in the middle of May to all of my customers who have purchased at least $50 of products from my online store in the last 12 months.  If you’d like a free catalog, make sure you qualify for one so I can send you yours.  Also, if your address has changed, I need you to update your profile ASAP.

I started by adhering a panel of the new Color Theory Designer Series Paper (available on June 1st) to a panel of Whisper White.  Then, I pulled out the ground image stamp from Sheltering Tree and stamped it in Crumb Cake ink on the bottom of a Whisper White panel.  Next, I pulled out one of the large swirls from the Swirly Bird stamp set and stamped it in Crushed Curry ink in the upper left hand corner to represent the sun.

The chair was stamped first in Crumb Cake, then in Crushed Curry.  I stamped one of the sentiments from Colorful Seasons in Versa Mark ink, dusted it with Copper Emboss powder and heat embossed it.  The little daisy type flower is from Swirly Bird and was fussy cut with my Paper Snips.  My art panel was framed with a panel of Crushed Curry.  I wrapped a length of the new Copper Trim (available June 1st) around the first layered panel and tied a bow, then popped the art panel on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Finally, the bottom layer was also popped onto the Crushed Curry card base with dimensionals.

Don’t you love this inside sentiment?  I first stamped the flower images from Colorful Seasons in Crushed Curry, then inked my sentiment stamp in Versa Mark and heat embossed it with Copper Embossing Powder.

A complete list of stamping supplies as well as card stock cuts will be at the end of this post.

Part of the fun of being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator is getting to see and purchase the new products ahead of the general public.  Wouldn’t you like to join my team now and do just that?  I would love to have you and I welcome all levels of stampers to join my team. Maybe you just love the products and want that discount, the early catalogs and extra support!  Get in touch with me today by email and I will be happy to call you and answer any questions you may have.  cardiologybyjari@gmail.com

Stampin’ Up! Giving Thanks at Thanksgiving

Want a fun way for Giving Thanks to family and friends at Thanksgiving?   I am sharing a trio of projects you can use for your holiday table setting.  The Pilgrim pair are compliments of Publix Supermarket!

Giving Thanks

I made a place setting holder using my Gift Card Envelope and Trims Thinlets Dies,Layering Ovals Framelits,  Kraft card stock, Copper Foil card stock , Night of Navy card stock and Petals and Paisleys Specialty DSP.

Give Thanks

I made a belly band with the Paisleys and Posies DSP, then stamped the sentiment, from  Paisleys and Posies, in Versa Mark onto Night of Navy.  It was sprinkled with Copper Embossing Powder and heat embossed.  When cooled, I die cut it with a Layering Oval die and framed it in a little larger Copper Foil Layering Oval.  The idea for this came from Allison Okamitsu.  See her project HERE.

Giving Thanks

For the bag of treats, I used one of the Gusseted Cellophane Bags and lined it partially with the same piece of Paisleys and Posies DSP as used on the belly band above.  The Hersheys Nuggets are also wrapped with a !” X 3″ panel of this DSP and secured with glue dots.  I saw the idea for the bag over at Lisa Curcio’s blog.

The place card is a piece of Night of Navy card stock 4 1/8″ X  4 1/4″ scored and folded at 2 1/8″.  I added a panel of Very Vanilla that had the corners rounded with my Project Life Corner Rounder Punch.  The banner sentiment is from Sheltering Tree, stamped in Versa Mark and heat embossed with Copper Embossing Powder.  Next, I die cut 2 of the leaf images from the Paisley Framelits Dies in Copper Foil and attached them to the end of the banner with liquid glue. The banner was attached to the place card with dimensionals.

Stampin’ Up! Swirly Bird Kite

Today’s  clean and simple card is made with the Kite images from the Swirly Bird stamp set from Stampin’ Up! I have seen several cards using the Kite in this set and have been wanting to try it myself.

Kite

My sketch inspiration came from Case This Sketch, CTS #183.  Please make sure you take a look at all of the inspiration over there.

CTS 183 Kite

Kite

I started by stamping the Kite images in Bermuda Bay and Pacific Point onto some Whisper White thick card stock.  Whenever I am going to fussy cut an image, the thick card stock holds up much better for me.  I used the “swoosh” image from Sheltering Tree and inked some bright colors for the sky background.  They are in order from top down:  Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Calypso Coral.

Kite

The Thinking of You sentiment is also from Sheltering Tree, and is stamped onto the front of the Whisper White panel in Pacific Point ink.  I decided where I wanted each Kite to go and then stamped the kite strings in Pacific Point.  The tails are stamped in Pacific Point and Bermuda Bay.  Then each Kite was added to the front with dimensionals.  I adhered the art piece to a panel of Bermuda Bay with liquid glue, then popped that panel onto the Pacific Point card base with dimensionals.

Kite

For the inside, I chose a sentiment from the Suite Sayings stamp set and stamped it in Pacific Point, then added another Kite stamped in Bermuda Bay and Pacific Point inks.

Card Stock Cuts in inches and a list of Stampin’ Up! products used will be at the end of my post.
