I used Tasty Trucks, from the Stampin’ Up! Sale-A-Bration flyer, for my share for our blog hop today. This food truck is so cute and I love its versatility! And, it was FREE!
Here is our color challenge:
These colors are really fun, and just happen to be included in the Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series paper. So that part was pretty easy. I decided to use the Tasty Trucks stamp set from the Sale-A-Bration flyer because I think it is so cute. I started by stamping the truck in Basic Black Archival ink onto a panel of Whisper White card stock. Then, I pulled out my Crumb Cake, Watermelon Wonder and Pool Party ink pads and a Blender Pen. I pressed down on the lids quite a bit before opening so that some of the ink would transfer to the top cover. Then, I used this ink to “color” in the truck with my blender pen.
Next, I die cut the truck image with one of the largest circles in the Layering Circles Framelits collection. The Watermelon Wonder frame was die cut with the largest Scalloped Circle Framelits die and attached with liquid glue. I stamped another awning from the truck image and two sets of flags. Once they were colored with my blender pen and ink, I fussy cut them out. The awning was attached with small pieces of Dimensionals, and the Pool Party flags added with a little dab of liquid glue. The popsicles were cut out of the Tasty Treats DSP and added with Dimensionals.
I noticed the wheels needed some hubcaps, so I added two Pool Party Enamel Shapes to finish off the truck. The sentiment was stamped in Basic Black Archival ink and die cut with the smallest banner in the Bunch of Banners Framelits Dies. A second banner was cut in Pool Party, cut in half and attached to either end of the Whisper White one with liquid glue. The card base is Watermelon Wonder with panels of Pool Party and Tasty Treats Specialty DSP layered and attached with Dimensionals. A strip of Watermelon Wonder striped card stock from Tasty Treats and two banners from another pattern in the Tasty Treats DSP were added with liquid glue and the art panel and sentiment panel popped on with Dimensionals.
For the inside, I added a strip of the Watermelon Wonder stripe onto a panel of Whisper White and left room for a handwritten note.
A complete list of supplies and card stock cuts in inches for my Tasty Trucks card will be at the end of my post.
