Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Words and Rose Wonder

Today’s card uses Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Words and Rose Wonder stamps as well as my Botanical Builder Framelits Dies to deliver an inspirational card for someone special.

Watercolor Words & Rose Wonder

The beauty of the Botanical Builder Dies is that you can do flower colors and leaf shapes for any season!  I chose some spring colors with the Botanical Gardens DSP (retiring), Mint Macaron and  Daffodil Delight.
Watercolor Words & Rose Wonder

I started by cutting a panel of Whisper White and the floral DSP the same size (3 7/8 x 5 1/8), then used the long leaf die to die cut the Whisper White panel.  Next, I stamped the sentiment from Watercolor Words in Basic Black ink onto the bottom of the white panel.  Then, I adhered the two panels together with liquid glue.  I really like using this glue when you need to position something to very carefully line it up!

Then, I pulled out the flower dies and cut them out using Mint Macaron,  Daffodil Delight and Basic Black card stocks.

I framed the art panel with a little larger panel of Mint Macaron, using liquid glue, then popped it onto the Daffodil Delight card base with dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, I stamped one of the sentiments from the Rose Wonder stamp set in Basic Black ink and added a few stamped flowers to match the DSP.  The flowers were from the Sale-a-Bration Botanicals for You stamp set.

Watercolor Words and Rose Wonder stamps will not be retiring this year, so you have another year to use these great stamp sets!  The Envelope Liners Framelits are retiring, so snatch them up soon!

All About Everything for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

HappyStampersBlogPostBanner

Hello again, it’s time for another Happy Stampers Hop and I am sharing All About Everything from the April Paper Pumpkin kit, with a little help from the Rose Wonder Bundle 🙂

All About Everything

And here is our sketch:

What a fun stamp set- All About Everything.  It was an extra stamp set in the April Paper Pumpkin kit to commemorate the sale of one million Paper Pumpkin kits!  Wow!  I hope you are a PP subscriber so that you received it!  I also had a lot of help with the Rose Garden Thinlets and the English Garden DSP (retiring).

All About Everything

Since there is not much stamping on the outside, I made the inside resemble the outside with stamps from All About Everything, Rose Wonder and Garden in Bloom (the bee).

Finally, I dressed up the envelope with the Envelope Liners Framelits (retiring) and more English Garden DSP:

All About Everything

Tips and tricks on making this card will be at the end of the post.

Card Tips and Tricks:

**Start with a Mossy Meadow card base

**Stamp the sentiment from All About Everything on a panel of Blushing Bride and attach the layer of Garden in Bloom with glue

**Die cut a Blushing Bride rose, cutting off the leaves, then die cut leaves in Old Olive and cut them apart until you find the right combination for your rose.  Attach the leaves to the rose with a fine tip glue pen.

**Cut a length of ribbon and notch one end.  Punch a hole in the layer of DSP and Blushing Bride for the brad, and then do the same in the ribbon.  Attach the ribbon to the back with Tear and Tape and to the front with a small amount of the glue from the fine tip pen.  Add the brad to the front of the card.

**Add glue from the fine tip glue pen to the rose and leaves and place it on the front of the card.

**Fussy cut a bee from the English Garden DSP and attach with dimensionals.

**Attach the art piece to the card base with dimensionals

**Stamp the rose and leaves in Blushing Bride onto a panel of Whisper White; then stamp the bee from Garden in Bloom in Soft Suede and color in with Crushed Curry; stamp the sentiment from All About Everything in Mossy Meadow glue this panel onto a panel of Blushing Bride and finally to the card base.
