Happy Saturday! I hope you are having a wonderful day. We have had beautiful weather in Georgia the past several days, but the humidity is creeping back up to match the thermometer’s rising! My share for today is from Love & Affection from Stampin’ Up! This is one of the new stamp sets that I shared with you last week.
My sketch inspiration is from CAS(E) This Sketch # 176. Don’t forget to have a look at all of the entries and join in the fun!
Love & Affection is a photopolymer set, so it is really easy to stamp on the images. I started by stamping the large flower in Versa Mark ink onto Watermelon Wonder, Daffodil Delight and Mint Macaron, then sprinkled them with Copper Embossing powder and heated them till shiny. Once they cooled, I fussy cut them, and stamped the leaves in Cucumber Crush. They are heat embossed in Copper and fussy cut also.
I punched a panel of Watermelon Wonder with the Banner Triple Punch, inked the sentiment with Versa Mark and used the Copper Embossing powder. With all of those flowers on the card, I just had to create a butterfly-so I pulled out the Papillon Potpourri stamp set and yes, once again, used that wonderful new Copper Embossing Powder! The butterfly is also fussy cut.
The Affectionately Yours DSP pairs with Love & Affection so nicely! I cut a panel and framed it with Night of Navy, then popped it onto the Crumb Cake card base with dimensionals, then glued the banner down and arranged the flowers, leaves and butterfly onto the front with dimensionals also.
If you peek closely, you will see a strip of Affectionately Yours DSP on the inside Crumb Cake panel that was snailed to the Crumb Cake base, leaving lots of room to write a note to the recipient.
Card stock cuts in inches and products used for my Love & Affection card will be at the end of the post.
