Stampin’ Up! Oh So Succulent for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Amy's Inkin' Krew Team Blog Hop

This month, we have a feminine themed blog hop for you!  I have created a Mother’s Day Card from the Stampin’ Up! Oh So Succulent Bundle to share with you today.

Stampin' Up! Oh So Succulent Cardiology by Jari

My large succulent from the Succulent Framelits Dies, was cut in Mint Macaron with Sweet Sugarplum ink sponged on the leaf tips and lightly on the centers.  Next, I stamped several of the succulent images from Oh So Succulent in Sweet Sugarplum and Mint Macaron inks, then die cut them out.

Stampin' Up! Oh So Succulent Cardiology by Jari

I stamped the Oh So Succulent Happy Mother’s Day sentiment in Sweet Sugarplum onto a Whisper White Stitched Shapes oval.  A scalloped oval in Sweet Sugarplum was then adhered to the sentiment oval.

Stampin' Up! Oh So Succulent Cardiology by Jari

A panel of Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper was adhered to a little larger panel of Mint Macaron, then framed with another panel from the Succulent Garden DSP.. Then, I popped it onto the Mint Macaron card base with dimensionals.  A Lace Doily was adhered to the side so that it would peek out when I added the succulents and sentiment panel.  I popped the sentiment ovals on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and began to add all of the succulents with touches of glue and dimensionals.  Three small Pearls were added near the sentiment.

Stampin' Up! Oh So Succulent Cardiology by Jari

One more succulent from Oh So Succulent was stamped in Sweet Sugarplum and Mint Macaron on the inside, and the sentiment is from the Suite Sentiments stamp set.

A complete list of stamping supplies as well as card stock cuts will be at the end of my post.

And now, head on over to see what Amy has created for us today!

Stampin’ Up! Succulents for FMS #281

I used the Succulents Framelits Dies from Stampin’ Up! to create my card to share with you today.

Stampin' Up! Succulents Cardiology by Jari

My card design was inspired by the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #281 this week.

FMS 3281 Sketch Challenge

I also used the colors from the Fab Fri Challenge #108 even though I missed the deadline to enter!

I love how versatile these Succulents Dies are, and I never grow tired of working with them!  First, I die cut 3 sets of the pointy succulent dies from So Saffron and sponged the centers and edges with Peekaboo Peach ink.  Then, I used the trailing succulent die to cut out 2 pieces in Mint Macaron card stock.

Stampin' Up! Succulents Cardiology by Jari

My sentiment is from the March 2017 Paper Pumpkin stamps, but if you do not have it, substitute any fairly small sentiment.  I used Early Expresso ink on a panel of Very Vanilla, then cut it with an oval Stitched Shapes Framelits die. The mat was die cut from an oval scalloped die from the Layering Ovals Framelits.

The Succulents were adhered to the sentiment ovals with some glue and Dimensionals.  On the back of the oval panels, I adhered a couple of glue dots, then wound some Gold Metallic Thread around a few times, passing it over the glue dots to secure them.  Peekaboo Peach Enamel Shapes were added to the centers and one Calypso Coral heart Enamel Shape was added to the sentiment.
Stampin' Up! Succulents Cardiology by JariI have layers of Very Vanilla and So Saffron card stock adhered to the Calypso Coral card base on the inside.  Three flowers were die cut using the smallest Botanical Builder Framelits flower die.and added to the right corner.  I adhered some So Saffron Enamel Shapes to the centers.

A complete list of card stock cuts and Stampin’ Up! supplies to complete this card will be at the end of the post.

Stampin’ Up! Dragonflies for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I’m sharing some Dragonflies on my card today for our Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  And here is our sketch:

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop Sketch Challenge March 30
Stampin' Up! Dragonfly Dreams Dragonflies by Cardiology by Jari

Our sketch this week gives us a starting point and guidelines for each sketch, so I really try to work with it as much as possible.  If you notice in the sketch it has 2 panels on the front, with one looking like a different color than the other.  I chose to use the same paper, but cut it so that it looks a little like it is two different panels of DSP.  I used one of the sheets from Falling In Love DSP and cut it so that the part of the paper with less design is on the top portion and the part with more design was on the bottom!  They were adhered to a panel of Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper.  Then, a length of Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon was adhered where the two panels met.

Stampin' Up D!ragonfly Dreams Dragonflies by Cardiology by Jari

I recently saw a card on Pinterest with dragonflies created using Vellum card stock, so I decided to try it, too.  You can see the card HERE.  The stamper used Watercolor Pencils, and since I knew they were not orderable from Stampin’ Up! right now, I decided to try using my Blender pen and inks on the Vellum.  I cut a rectangle of the Vellum and began coloring with Blushing Bride, Sahara Sand and Sweet Sugarplum inks, blending the colors as I went. Once it was dry, I just die cut it with the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlets Die.

Stampin' Up! Dragonfly Dreams Dragonflies by Cardiology by Jari

My sentiment, from Dragonfly Dreams, was stamped in Sahara Sand on Very Vanilla, and die cut with an oval Stitched Shapes Framelit Die. Then, I adhered the sentiment oval to a Blushing Bride scalloped oval and attached a Lace Doily to the back side with glue. The dragonflies were attached with glue dots just under the heads.  I cut a length of Silver Metallic Thread and attached it to the back of the sentiment ovals with some Glue Dots, then popped that panel onto the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The Falling In Love Embellishment added the finishing touch to the front.

Stampin' Up! Dragonfly Dreams Dragonflies by Cardiology by Jari

I pulled out the Happy Mother’s Day sentiment from the Oh So Succulent stamp set and stamped it in Sahara Sand ink. Then, I added a strip of the DSP left over from the front for the bottom of the panel.

A complete list of supplies as well as card stock cuts for this project will be at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Basket of Succulents for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Oh So Succulent Bundle from Stampin’ Up! to create my Basket of Succulents card to share with you today.

Stampin' Up! Oh So Succulent Basket Cardiology by Jari

Here is the sketch for the week:

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I started by adhering two different patterns of the Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper to a panel of Sweet Sugarplum Glimmer Paper (only available during Sale-A-Bration!).  Next, I wrapped a length of Sweet Sugarplum Ruched Ribbon around both panels adhering it with Tear & Tape Adhesive.

Stampin' Up! Oh So Succulent Basket for Mother's Day by Cardiology by Jari

Then, I sponged a Lace Doily with some Sweet Sugarplum ink, cut it in half and adhered it to the left center.  I pulled out my Window Box Thinlets and created the basket bottom in Tip Top Taupe card stock with the scalloped die.  To add some interest to the basket, I also die cut the other flat die which created the strips used to make the ridges on the basket.

Stampin' Up! Oh So Succulent Basket by Cardiology by Jari

All of the succulents in the basket were stamped twice because this is a two-step stamp set.  The first stamping was full strength, which created the outline of the succulent.  The second layer was stamped off once onto scrap paper before actually stamping onto my outlined succulent.  I used combinations of Old Olive, Mint Macaron, Sweet Sugarplum and Calypso Coral inks.  The Happy Mother’s Day sentiment was stamped in Versa Mark and sprinkled with White Emboss Powder and heat embossed.  I used the small banner die from the Popcorn Box Thinlets to cut it out.

Stampin' Up! Oh So Succulent Basket

I used part of the sentiment from Remarkable You for the inside of my card.  (The word And at the beginning of the stamp was left off.)  A few more succulents were added to the bottom along with another strip of the Succulent Garden DSP.

All of the products used to create this card as well as the card stock cuts in inches will be at the end of the post.

Stampin’ Up! Window Shopping Thanks for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday

I paired up Window Shopping and Oh So Succulent from Stampin’ Up! for my share for the Blog Hop for today.

Shopping

We are playing with a color challenge, Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe and Old Olive this week.

Shopping

I started with a panel of Tip Top Taupe and adhered a smaller panel of Succulent Garden (the floral pattern) to it with liquid glue.  Next, I took a panel of the checked Tip Top Taupe Succulent Garden DSP the same width as my floral pattern and marked it lightly with a pencil 1″ up from the bottom of the left side and 2 1/2″ on the right side.  Then, I lined up my pencil points on my Stampin Trimmer and cut it on the diagonal. It was adhered then to the other panel with glue.

Shopping

I pulled out my Tip Top Taupe Mini Striped Ribbon, cut a length, added some Tear & Tape and adhered it on the diagonal where the two panels met.  I stamped the sentiment from Window Shopping in Tip Top Taupe ink onto a pre-cut square of Whisper White card stock, then cleaned off my stamp.  Next, I stamped the sentiment once again in Mint Macaron on another piece of Whisper White.  The center part of the sentiment was all I wanted , so I used the banner die from the Gift Cards Envelope & Trims Framelits to cut it out and layer it over the original sentiment.

Shopping

My sentiment panel was then framed with a panel of Tip Top Taupe.  I pulled out one of the Lace Doilies and glued it to the front of the card.  Dimensionals were added to the back of the sentiment panel and I wound some loops of Silver Metallic Thread around them before popping it onto the front of the card.  Finally, I added a few Pearls for some bling.

Shopping

Originally, I had planned to add some of the succulents from Oh So Succulent, to the front of the card, but decided against it.  So, they were added to the inside.  They are two-step stamps, so the inside of the succulent is stamped in Mint Macaron and the outside stamp is Old Olive.

A complete list of supplies and card stock cuts in inches will be at the end of my post.

Oh So Succulent for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Hop

Happy Inkin' Thursday

I used the Stampin’ Up! Oh So Succulent Bundle to create my card for today’s Blog Hop.

Oh So Succulent

Here is our sketch this week:

Happy Inkin' Thursday Sketch

I started with a panel from the Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper and adhered it to a panel of Sweet Sugarplum card stock with liquid glue.  Next, I cut two strips of a coordinating pattern from the Succulent Garden DSP and adhered them to the lower half of the front panel.

Oh So Succulent

I then die cut the large Sweet Sugarplum succulent with the Succulent Framelits and stamped the ends with Whisper White Craft ink.  Before I assembled the flower, I curled the petals with my bone folder.  The Oh So Succulent stamp set is designed for 2-step stamping.  One of the images fills in the center and the other outlines the flower.  For the Mint Macaron succulent, I stamped the center in Mint Macaron and then the outline in Old Olive.  The smaller succulent in stamped in Calypso Coral and the others in Old Olive inks.  I used a sentiment from Dragonfly Dreams and stamped it in Versa Mark and heat embossed it in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  My banner was cut with a die from the Gift Card Envelopes & Trims Framelits.

Oh So Succulent

For some reason, my camera would not focus when I tried to take a photo of the whole inside of my card, so I am only showing a portion of it!  I stamped the lower left corner with images from Oh So Succulent using Calypso Coral, Mint Macaron, Old Olive and Sweet Sugarplum inks.

Card stock cuts in inches and all of the products used to create my card will be at the end of my post.
