Jar of Cheer for Paper Craft Crew Challenge #219

I used the Jar of Cheer stamp set from Stampin’ Up! for the Paper Craft Crew Challenge this week.

Jar of Cheer

Here is the sketch for PCC #219.  Please make sure to stop by and check out what everyone created.

PCC219

I started by stamping the snowman and snow onto a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I stamped the snow from Merriest Wishes, in Smoky Slate, stamping off once before stamping onto the panel.  Then, I stamped it again with Versa Mark ink and sprinkled on some Dazzling Diamonds powder and heat embossed it.  The snowman image, from Jar of Cheer, was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored with Stampin’ Write Markers.  I used my Project Life Corner Punch to round the edges of the art panel and the Basic Black card stock panel that frames it.

Cheer

Next, I  adhered a panel of Warmth & Cheer DSP onto a panel of Basic Black and tied a bow around it with a length  of Cucumber Crush Thick Baker’s Twine. The Baker’s Twine was first secured with a little tape on the back of this panel, then I added dimensionals and adhered the panel to the Whisper White Thick card stock base.  A piece of silver Metallic Doily was glued to the right side and then the snow man panel added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Cheer

I pulled out the Flurry of Wishes stamp set thinking I would use one of the snow flake images for the front, but once made, I decided against it.  But, I did use the sentiment from Flurry of Wishes for my little banner.  It was stamped in Versa Mark ink and White Embossing powder was sprinkled on and then heated.  The snowflake is the center of one of the stockings in the Christmas Stocking Thinlets Dies.  I used a scrap of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper for it and added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the center.

Cheer

For the inside, I added another panel of Whisper White card stock and stamped it with another sentiment from Jar of Cheer in Cucumber Crush ink.  A little strip of Sweater Weather DSP was added to the bottom, then the whole panel adhered to the card base.

Card stock cuts and a list of supplies are at the end of the post.

Stampin’ Up! Merriest Wishes

Today’s share is a monochromatic Christmas card using the Merriest Wishes stamp set from Stampin’ Up!

Wishes

The inspiration for my sketch is from CAS(E) This Sketch #196

Wishes

My CAS (Clean and Simple) Merriest Wishes Christmas Card came together very quickly.  First, I dry embossed a panel of Whisper White card stock with the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  Then, I added two strips of Silver 3/8″ Glitter Ribbon with Tear & Tape Adhesive.  I stamped the 25 image from Merriest Wishes in Versa Mark ink, added some Heat & Stick Powder and briefly heated it.  Once it was a little tacky, I added Silver Glitter Embossing powder and completed the heat embossing.  I used one of the Merry Tags Framelits Dies to cut it out.  I die cut the large ornament in Silver Foil and glued the 25 to it. The sentiment is from Star of Light and is heat embossed in Silver Emboss Powder and cut out with a banner die from Bunch of Banners. I used  Silver 1/8″ Ribbon for the bow.

As promised, I told you I would share some from Atlanta this weekend.  Brian King and Pam Morris hosted a World Card Making event (Friday) to coincide with the On Stage Stampin’ Up! event in Atlanta this weekend.  We had fun hearing some great tips from other demonstrators, saw some great cards and projects other fellow demos made, won some prizes and made some cards!  Here are a couple of photos to share:

WCMD

The table decoration is the adorable bauble in the flower pot.  Each table looked so nice before we all began stamping!  As you can see in the background, we kind of had a mess (and chocolates!)  Look at the adorable packaging for our chocolate chip cookies!

WCMD

The little box on the left was also a gift to the attendees, it is filled with peppermints and had a small wooden stamp tucked inside as a surprise!  The two small cards were just a couple of our make and takes.

Thanks for stopping by today, see you next time with some more photos and maybe some surprises!

Stampin’ Up! Merriest Wishes for PCC #214

I used the Stampin’ Up! Merriest Wishes stamp set and Merry Tags Framelits Dies to create my card for the Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge this week.

Here is the sketch, and make sure to check out all of the other cards showcased there.  And, try your hand at the challenge, too!  PCC#214

Merriest for PCC 214

Merriest

I love these rich colors together for Christmas!  Yes, I admit it, I am pretty traditional when it comes to Christmas colors. I started with a Cherry Cobbler card stock base, then worked on the art work panel.  First, I stamped the Whisper White panel with two different stamps from Gorgeous Grunge.  The lines are stamped in Cherry Cobbler that I stamped off first onto a piece of scrap paper.  For the dotted image stamp, I used Garden Green ink that was also stamped off once onto a scrap paper before stamping onto the Whisper White.

Merriest

I pulled out the tree ornament die from the Merry Tags Framelits (bundle with Merriest Wishes and save 10%) and die cut two of them in Garden Green card stock.  Then, I used liquid glue to adhere them together.  I used a Layering Circle die that was a little smaller than the ornament and die cut one circle in Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper. It was adhered with liquid glue.  Next, I die cut a bow and some boughs for the top of the ornament using the Pretty Pines Thinlets Dies.  They were attached with some dots of liquid glue and a Silver Metallic Enamel Shape adorns the middle of the bow.

MerriestThe Merriest Wishes sentiment tag was stamped with Cherry Cobbler, then die cut with the smallest Banners Framelits Die.  I also cut one in Cherry Cobbler to add to the back so that it would stand out against the background.  The plaid panel is from the Warmth & Cheer Designer Series Paper Stack and adhered directly to the Whisper White panel with liquid glue. I cut a length of Cherry Cobbler Baker’s Twine and added it under the banner using dimensionals. A length of Cherry Cobbler 3/8″ Silky Taffeta ribbon serves as the ornament hanger and is attached with Tear & Tape Adhesive, then I popped on the ornament and the art panel onto the base with dimensionals. Silver Sequins were added for a little bling.

Merriest

The inside Whisper White panel was stamped first with a stamp from Merriest Wishes in Garden Green.  I remembered that there was a Christmas sentiment in the Better Together stamp set and stamped it in the center with Cherry Cobbler ink.

Card stock cuts in inches and a product list is provided at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Jolly Friends Moose!

My share today is from Jolly Friends, and I am showcasing the Moose stamp.  Each of the characters in this stamp set is adorable, but I especially like this Jolly Moose!

Moose

My sketch was inspired by the one at Freshly Made Sketches.  FMS254

fms-final-254-001

I started by dry embossing a Whisper White card stock panel with the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  The embossed panel was adhered to the Whisper White card base with liquid glue.

Moose

Next, I concentrated on Mr. Moose.  The Moose image, from Jolly Friends, is stamped in Early Expresso ink onto Kraft Cardstock.  I then fussy cut him out with Paper Snips.  The main part of the hat is stamped in Real Red onto Whisper White and punched out with the Jolly Hat Builder Punch.  I punched a scrap of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper for the pom-pom and band of the hat.  The scarf is Real Red stamped onto Whisper White and fussy cut out.

Moose

Two long strips of Designer Series Paper were added to the front of the card with liquid glue.  Then, I die cut a scalloped square of Emerald Envy card stock with one of the Layering Squares Framelits Dies and popped it onto the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added the scarf to the square with glue, then popped the moose and his hat just above the scarf with dimensionals.  The Merriest Wishes sentiment is from the stamp set with the same name.  It is stamped in Emerald Envy and die cut with the banner from the Gift Card Envelope and Thinlets Dies.  The second Real Red banner is attached to the sentiment banner with a glue dot.  The little star is from the Metallic Enamel Shapes.

moose

To complete the inside of the card, I added a panel of the emerald envy polka dot DSP onto the card base with liquid glue.  Then I  stamped the sentiment from Tin of Tags in Real Red  onto a Whisper White panel that had  a strip of Candy Cane Lane Washi Tape added to the bottom.  This panel was attached then with liquid glue.

Stampin’ Up! products used in making my card are at the end of the post.

Merriest Wishes for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Wow, this is a special day for Stampin’ Up! customers–the Holiday Catalog goes live, (Yippee) so here is my share from Merriest Wishes.  But first, take a look at our sketch challenge:

Happy Stampers sketch challenge

Merriest Wishes

This sketch stumped me for a while until I thought about the gift tags I had been making from Merriest Wishes.  What a fun new bundle!  And, you can order it starting today!!  Are you excited?  There are so many wonderful choices in the Holiday Catalog.

I started by creating all of the Christmas ornaments using Very Vanilla and Garden Green card stock.  I used Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler ink, then die cut all of them using the Merry Tags Framelits Dies (bundle with Merriest Wishes and save 10%).  I also used one of the smaller circles from the Layering Circles Framelits for one of the ornaments.

Merriest Wishes

My card base is Cherry Cobbler, with a panel of This Christmas Specialty DSP layered on top with liquid glue.  Next, I used the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to dry emboss the Very Vanilla Panel, then I glued it to a panel of Garden Green card stock.

Merriest Wishes

The ornaments were tied with Cherry Cobbler Baker’s Twine then added to the Very Vanilla panel with either glue or dimensionals.  The other end of the twine is taped to the back of the Garden Green panel and then I added dimensionals before popping it onto the card base.  My little bit of bling is a silver dot from the Metallic Enamel Shapes package.

Merriest Wishes

I chose a sentiment from Christmas Pines and stamped it in Cherry Cobbler, then added a strip of the DSP I used on the front.  My product list for this card are at the end of the post.
