Jolly Moose for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Happy Stampers Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Jolly Friends stamp set to create my Jolly Moose Christmas card for our hop for today.  This week, we have a color challenge using these rich holiday colors:

I also used the sketch over at Fab Friday to give some creation inspiration

Fab Fri 99

Jolly Moose

I stamped my moose image from Jolly Friends in Early Expresso, and fussy cut him with my Paper Snips. Next,  I stamped the cap parts in Cherry Cobbler ink and punched them with the Jolly Hat Builder Punch.  The scarf was also stamped in Cherry Cobbler, but I fussy cut it. The sentiment is from Tin of Tags.  It was stamped in Garden Green, then die cut with a Layering Ovals Framelit Die.   I framed that oval with another scalloped oval in Cherry Cobbler.

Jolly Moose

My card base is Crumb Cake. First, I stamped the snow flake images from Christmas Pines several times in Garden Green ink onto my Garden Green card stock panel.  The banners were cut from the Warmth & Cheer DSP. Then, I swirled some Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green Baker’s Twine onto the front before adding the sentiment ovals with dimensionals.

Jolly Moose

For the inside, I stamped Merry Christmas, from Better Together, and die cut another oval.  Then, I die cut some “mistletoe” from the Pretty Pines Thinlets Dies and tied them together with more of the Baker’s Twine.

Card stock cuts and products used are listed at the end of the post.

Stampin’ Up! Jolly Friends Santa

I am sharing the Jolly Friends Santa from Stampin’ Up! on my Christmas Card for today.

Jolly Friends Santa

Jolly Friends Santa

I have been wanting to use up some of my Candy Cane Lane Designer Washi Tape for a while, so I pulled it out and put it to use!  As you can see, I taped it on the diagonal on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Next, I stamped the Jolly Friends Santa face in Tuxedo Black Memento ink.  Aren’t those shades so cute?  They are also stamped in Tuxedo Black ink.  Jolly Friends is a photopolymer set, so those glasses were easy to stamp onto Santa’s face.

Jolly Friends Santa

Because I bought the Jolly Friends stamps and Jolly Hat Builder Punch as a bundle, i saved 10% on my purchase and  it was easy to create the hat.  First, I stamped the top of the hat in Cucumber Crush, then punched it out.  Next, I punched out the band and pom-pom three times in Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper.  By punching out three of each, they seem to stand out more.  Santa’s face was fussy cut using my Paper Snips.

Jolly Friends Santa

I used the Ho Ho Ho sentiment from Oh, What Fun, and stamped it in Real Red just above the layers of washi tape.  I glued the hat to my Jolly Friends Santa face, and popped him onto the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  A length of Cucumber Crush Thick Baker’s Twine was wrapped around the panel and I tied a bow, securing it with tape on the back and a glue dot on the front.

Jolly Friends Santa

For the inside, I glued down a panel of Real Red Brights DSP onto the Whisper White card stock base. Then  I stamped Happy Christmas  and the Holly image from Oh What Fun, onto a panel of Whisper White card stock.  The bottom has a little more Candy Cane Lane Designer Washi Tape added to finish the sentiment panel.

Card stock cuts and products used for my Jolly Friends Santa will be at the end of the post.

Stampin’ Up! Jolly Friends Moose!

My share today is from Jolly Friends, and I am showcasing the Moose stamp.  Each of the characters in this stamp set is adorable, but I especially like this Jolly Moose!

Moose

My sketch was inspired by the one at Freshly Made Sketches.  FMS254

fms-final-254-001

I started by dry embossing a Whisper White card stock panel with the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  The embossed panel was adhered to the Whisper White card base with liquid glue.

Moose

Next, I concentrated on Mr. Moose.  The Moose image, from Jolly Friends, is stamped in Early Expresso ink onto Kraft Cardstock.  I then fussy cut him out with Paper Snips.  The main part of the hat is stamped in Real Red onto Whisper White and punched out with the Jolly Hat Builder Punch.  I punched a scrap of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper for the pom-pom and band of the hat.  The scarf is Real Red stamped onto Whisper White and fussy cut out.

Moose

Two long strips of Designer Series Paper were added to the front of the card with liquid glue.  Then, I die cut a scalloped square of Emerald Envy card stock with one of the Layering Squares Framelits Dies and popped it onto the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added the scarf to the square with glue, then popped the moose and his hat just above the scarf with dimensionals.  The Merriest Wishes sentiment is from the stamp set with the same name.  It is stamped in Emerald Envy and die cut with the banner from the Gift Card Envelope and Thinlets Dies.  The second Real Red banner is attached to the sentiment banner with a glue dot.  The little star is from the Metallic Enamel Shapes.

To complete the inside of the card, I added a panel of the emerald envy polka dot DSP onto the card base with liquid glue.  Then I  stamped the sentiment from Tin of Tags in Real Red  onto a Whisper White panel that had  a strip of Candy Cane Lane Washi Tape added to the bottom.  This panel was attached then with liquid glue.

Stampin’ Up! products used in making my card are at the end of the post.

Stampin’ Up! Jolly Friends for the Happy Stampers

Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Hi, and welcome to another Happy Stampers Blog Hop!  My share for today is using the Jolly Friends stamp set from the new Stampin’ Up!  Holiday Catalog   Just a few more days and you will be able to order all of the new goodies.  I hope you have received your new catalog so that you can make your list.

Our challenge today was to create a project using these colors:

Happy Stampers Jolly Friends

I was determined to use one of my new holiday stamp sets and Jolly Friends seemed to catch my eye.  But, you say, these are not really holiday colors!  Well, maybe I am stretching my imagination a little, but that is part of the fun, right?!

What do you  think?

JollFriendsy

I started by building my elf and his hat and scarf from Jolly Friends.  First I stamped the elf face in Soft Suede onto Whisper White Thick card stock, then added some pink to his cheeks using Pink Pirouette and a Q-tip.  Then, I fussy cut it out using my paper snips.  Next, I stamped the scarf, hat pieces and the bell.  I used Old Olive ink on the scarf and hat pieces and then filled in the spaces with my Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Write Marker.  The bell is stamped in Bermuda Bay ink.  I pulled out my Jolly Hat Builder Punch (available as a bundle to save !0% with this stamp set) and punched out the hat pieces.

Jolly Friends

For the Crumb Cake panel, I stamped the “snow” images from Jolly Friends in Versa Mark and heat embossed them with White Embossing Powder.  Next, I created the banner sentiment using one of the sentiments from Cookie-Cutter Christmas, another new stamp set in the Holiday Catalog.  It is stamped in Old Olive ink on a panel of Whisper White and punched with the Duet Banner Punch.  I also punched one in Bermuda Bay and one in Old Olive, cut them in half and adhered them to the White one with glue.

Jolly Friends

I popped my elf parts onto the front with dimensionals, added the banner sentiment with dimensionals and then added some Bermuda Bay sequins with glue dots.  This whole panel was then ready to be added to the Bermuda Bay card base (with dimensionals) that is layered with a panel of Berumda Bay from the Brights Designer Series Paper Stacks.

Jolly Friends

For the inside, I chose a sentiment from Suite Seasons, another new set found in the Holiday Catalog, and stamped it in Bermuda Bay ink.

Stampin’ Up! products used in my card will be listed at the end of my post.  But now, it’s time to see what beautiful creation Kristi has for us today!
