Stampin’ Up! Sky is the Limit for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Happy Stampers Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! the Sky is the Limit stamp set from the Sale-a-Bration catalog for my share for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop today.

Sky is the Limit Cardiology by Jari

And here is the sketch we are all working with:

Sketch Challenge for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop, January 21, 2016

First, I stamped the plane image from the Sky is the Limit with Versa Mark and heat embossed it with Basic Black Embossing Powder, let it dry and fussy cut it.  I did the same with the exhaust fume/sky writing image and set them aside.  Next, I punched out a Very Vanilla 2″ circle and stamped cloud shapes in Mint Macaron and framed it with a Basic Black circle that was just a bit larger.

Sky is the Limit Cardiology by Jarii chose another image from the  Sky is the Limit set for the sentiment, stamped it in Mint Macaron onto a strip of Very Vanilla cardstock, and used one of the dies from the Chalk Talk Framelits to cut it out. The card base is Basic Black. Before adding the Typeset Specialty DSP to it, I glued a strip of Mint Macaron cardstock near the bottom and wrapped a strand of Baker’s Twine around it twice. This layer was popped onto the card base with Dimensionals.

Sky is the Limit Cardiology by JariI glued the skywriting image to the cloud image with my fine tip glue pen and popped the whole piece onto the front with Dimensionals, The bi-plane and the sentiment were also popped onto the front with Dimensionals.

Sky is the Limit Cardiology by JariThe inside sentiment, also from the Stampin’ Up! Sky is the Limit stamp set, was stamped with Mint Macaron ink onto a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock.  I used a different strip of the Typeset Specialty DSP for the bottom trim.

Don’t you just love this new FREE Sale-a-Bration stamp set?  If you love it as much as I do, you’d better hurry up and order Sky is the Limit, because it is only here for a limited time!  Only available till February 15, 2016.  It can be yours for any order of at least $50.  What a deal!

Card stock cuts and supplies will follow at the end of the post.

Stampin’ Up! Bloomin’ Love for the Happy Stampers Team Hop

11960226_1268896359803603_8583437756952711798_n

Today’s Happy Stampers Team Blog hop features a color challenge for the last day of 2015:

12096205_1282833705076535_3973718640053185818_n

I used the new Stampin’ Up! Bloomin’ Love stamp set and the coordinating Bloomin’ Heart Thinlet Dies available on January 5th,  to create my card for today.

Bloomin' Love Card-iology by JariDon’t you just love the Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper?  It really adds some pizzaz to your projects!   The Bloomin’ Heart Thinlet Die (Heart) was my starting point.  After the heart, I used the two flower dies included in the set to create my Real Red and Whisper White flowers.

Bloomin' Love Card-iology by JariBefore die-cutting the flowers, I stamped Real Red ink onto the Real Red and Whisper White cardstocks using the flower stamps in the Bloomin’ Love stamp set.  Next, I stamped the banner from the set in Soft Suede and then stamped the sentiment, also from Bloomin’ Love, in Real Red ink.  The banner coordinates with the new Large Numbers Framelets Dies also available January 5th!

Bloomin' Love Card-iology by JariI added some small Pearl Basic Jewels to the center of the flowers and then punched 5 small hearts with my heart punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack in more of the Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper. Two of those hearts went on the outside, and the other three went inside.

Bloomin' Love Card-iology by Jari

The inside sentiment is also from Bloomin’ Love, and is stamped in Real Red onto Whisper White.  I know you are going to add this new bundle to your wish list for January 5th! The Bloomin’ Love stamp set and Bloomin’ Heart Thinlet Dies come in a bundle so that you can save 15%.  Isn’t that wonderful?!!  You will also want to check out the new Big Shot Die Brush-you can easily remove your die cut pieces with this great new tool.

Stampin’ Up! Going Global for the Happy Stampers Team Blog Hop

11960226_1268896359803603_8583437756952711798_n

I used the upcoming stamp set, Going Global, from the Stampin’ Up! 2016 Occasions Catalog for my card for the Happy Stampers Team Blog Hop today.

GoingGlobal Card-iology by Jari

And here is the sketch we are working with:

10408699_1282829091743663_6821449687025678401_nFirst, the largest panel of the Going Places DSP was stamped with the Big Dipper stamp in Basic Black.

Going Global Card-iology by Jari

The globe shape was punched from the Going Places DSP with my 2″ Circle punch and layered onto two other coordinating panels from the same DSP with Dimensionals.  The sentiment banner was stamped with Basic Black onto a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock and also popped up on one end with Dimensionals.  The opposite end was snailed to part of the globe.

Going Global Card-iology by Jari

A panel of Basic Black cardstock was dry embossed with the Lucky Stars TIEF and glued to the Delightful Dijon card base.  The entire art panel was then popped onto the front with Dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, I chose Watercolor Words for the sentiment

Going Global and Watercolor Words Card-iology by JariI stamped with Gorgeous Grunge to create a sort of “galaxy” with Basic Black ink, onto a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock.   Then, I stamped the sentiment from  Watercolor Words, in Basic Black.  The stars were punched from Gold Foil with the Itty Bitty star Accent Punch and attached with glue dots. I glued the sentiment panel onto a panel of Basic Black and then that panel was also glued to the card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

You will be able to order this stamp set, Going Global, and the Going Places DSP beginning January 5, 2016,  Yippee!!  Let me know if you have not received an Occasions Catalog so that you can begin to make up your wish list!

Stampin’ Up! Hello You & Antique Tags

11960226_1268896359803603_8583437756952711798_n

I used the Stampin’ Up Hello You Thinlets Dies and Antique Tags stamp set to create my card for today’s Happy Stampers Team Blog Hop.  We are all using a combination of Basic Black, Gold and White for the color challenge this week.

12122424_1282828851743687_6516475459135264794_n

These colors remind me of a celebration, so I decided a New Year’s card would be fun:

Hello You and Antique Tags Card-iology by Jari

I love how easily this card came together once I decided what I wanted to do!  The Hello You Thinlets really came through for this burst of sentiment, and the Antiques Tags stamp set is perfect for the theme of the card.  (Wait for the inside!)

Hello You and Antique Tags Card-iology by JariI die cut the word happy twice from the Hello You thinlets dies and glued them together with the Fine Tip Glue Pen.   The sentiment was stamped from Antique Tags and notice that only part of the image was used here.  I taped off the parts I did not want to use before stamping with Versa Mark ink.  I removed the tape, then stamped onto a panel of Whisper White cardstock and sprinkled on Black Embossing powder.  Once dry, I used the banner from the Gift Card Envelope and Trims Thinlets Dies to cut out the sentiment.

Hello You and Antique Tags Card-iology by JariThe banner was framed with another banner cut from Gold Glimmer paper and attached to my sentiment banner with Multipurpose liquid glue.  The card base is Basic Black with a panel of Gold Glimmer paper attached to it with Multipurpose liquid glue, I cut out stars with the Itty Bitty accents star punch and the star from the Mini Treat Bag thinlets set in Gold Foil and Gold Glimmer paper, attached them with glue dots, glued down the gold happy sentiment with the Fine Tip Glue Pen, added a Gold Metal button with Gold Cording to the small sentiment and popped it onto a panel of striped Neutrals DSP with Dimensionals.  Finally, the sentiment panel was also popped onto the card base with Dimensionals.

Antique Tags Card-iology by JariThe inside was finished off with the whole New Years stamp image from Antique Tags with Basic Black Archival ink onto a panel of Winter Wonderland Vellum. Before stamping it, I attached the DSP to a panel of Whisper White cardstock with specs of glue from the Fine Tip Glue Pen, then I added strips of Winter Wonderland Washi Tape to the top and bottom for a finishing touch!

Card stock cuts and supplies will be at the end of the post.

Stampin’ Up! Cozy Christmas for Happy Stampers Team Blog Hop

11960226_1268896359803603_8583437756952711798_n

Happy Thanksgiving!  We are all so very thankful for all of you stampers out there who join us each week for our Happy Stampers Team Blog Hop.  Today’s challenge is another sketch:

1002368_1282828098410429_1158247532917635064_nI used the Cozy Christmas stamp set from Stampin’ Up! for my share today.

Cozy Christmas Card-iology by Jari

This is another very quick and easy card. I started by stamping the sentiment from the Cozy Christmas stamp set onto a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.  How did I get all of the different colors?  I used my Real Red, Mossy Meadow, Delightful Dijon, and Mint Macaron Stampin’ Write Markers and colored in the words, then huffed my hot little breath onto the rubber before stamping.  I used the 2 1/2″ Circle punch to cut it out and then adhered that circle to another circle cut from Real Red cardstock with the Circles Framelits Die with snail.Cozy Christmas 2 Cardiology by JariSanta and his sleigh, also from the Cozy Christmas set, was inked in Versa mark and sprinkled with Black Embossing powder and heated with my Heat tool onto a panel of Home For Christmas DSP.  Once dry and cool, I ran it through the Big Shot inside the Softly Falling TIEF to create a more snowy looking scene.  This panel was layered onto a panel of Mossy Meadow with snail and then snailed to the Real Red card base.  The sentiment was added to the front with Dimensionals.  The Snowflake Element has a small piece of Dimensional behind the Mossy Meadow Enamel Dot and a little glue from my Glue Pen was dabbed onto the ends of the snowflake overlapping the circles.  I used another piece of the Home for Christmas DSP to line my Very Vanilla envelope.  Oops, I almost forgot to share the inside:

Cozy Christmas

It was stamped in Real Red and Mossy Meadow inks using another of the stamps from the Cozy Christmas set.

Finally, the back flap of the envelope needed a little decorating:

Stampin’ Up! Cozy Christmas for the Happy Stampers Team Blog Hop

11960226_1268896359803603_8583437756952711798_n

Welcome to another Thursday Happy Stampers Team Blog Hop.  This week we have a color challenge:

12096151_1282827851743787_1607856579373216924_n We are using some of my favorite holiday colors again!  I used the Cozy Christmas stamp set from the Stampin’ Up! Handmade for the Holidays catalog.  My card makes me think of an old-fashioned, home-spun Christmas.

Cozy Christmas Card-iology by Jari

I began by stamping the sentiment image onto a piece of Crumb Cake card stock in Versa Mark ink and sprinkled on some Cherry Cobbler embossing powder.  Once it had dried, I die cut it with one of the Stars Framelits.  I used the largest Star die to cut the piece of polka dot paper from Merry Moments DSP and adhered the two with Multipurpose glue.  Then, I cut out more stars and layered them using more of the Merry Moments DSP to pick up all of my challenge colors.

Cozy Christmas 2 Card-iology by JariI placed a panel of Crumb Cake card stock in the Lucky Stars TIEF (sorry I forgot to put this in the list of products used todayand dry embossed it with my Big Shot.  That layer was snailed to a panel of Cherry Cobbler card stock.  All of the smaller stars were adhered to the front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue, then I wrapped Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler Baker’s twine around the middle and popped this layer onto the Old Olive base with Dimensionals.  The top of the large star looked a little bare, so I die cut a bow from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits and attached it with a glue dot. Old Olive candy dots finished off the middle of the bow and 2 of the stars. I popped up the largest star with the sentiment onto the card with Dimensionals.

Cozy Christmas Card-iology by JariThe inside was also stamped with a sentiment from Cozy Christmas with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed with Cherry Cobbler embossing powder.

Card stock cuts in inches will be at the bottom of this post.

Now, on to see what Kristi Gray has designed for us today!  I hope you will plan on traveling all the way around the hop for some great projects from all of the Happy Stampers Team.

Stampin’ Up! Thankful Forest Friends for the Happy Stampers Team Blog Hop

11960226_1268896359803603_8583437756952711798_n

Hi, it’s Thursday, and we’ve got another Happy Stampers Team Blog Hop for you!  So glad you joined us for today’s sketch challenge:

Happy Stampers Team Blog Hop November 12, 2015I used the Stampin’ Up! Thankful Forest Friends stamp set for my interpretation of this sketch.

Thankful Forest Friends Card-iology by Jari

I really love this stamp set, especially the bear.  If you have been following my blog for a while, you have seen him quite a bit.  He is still cute every time I stamp and cut him out.  The fox and bunny are also cute, but somehow, I just love the bear!

I sponged the inside of the Woodland TIEF with Soft Suede ink before placing my Kraft cardstock inside and ran it through the Big Shot for the shading effect on my tree scene.  Then, I glued it to a little larger panel of Kraft cardstock with snail.   That layer was popped onto the Cajun Craze card base with Dimensionals.

Thankful Forest Friends Card-iology by JariI inked up the sentiment from Thankful Forest Friends with several of my Stampin’ Write Markers, then stamped it onto a piece of Whisper White Thick cardstock that was 2 3/8″ square.  I used the 2 1/2″ square from the Squares Collection Framelits to make a frame in Cajun Craze cardstock and snailed them together.  Each of the animals was stamped and fussy cut with my Paper Snips.  Here is a peek inside:

Thankful Forest Friends Card-iology by Jari

I took a strip that was left over from the Woodland scene and glued it to the left side of a piece of Whisper White Cardstock with Multipurpose Liquid glue, and stamped the bear again with a sentiment from the Crazy About You stamp set.

Welcome, Stampers, to another Happy Stampers Team Blog Hop.  We have a color challenge for today, and here it is:

bloghop12106922_1282826335077272_1571188920190961809_n

I love these colors together-they remind me of Christmas, and all of the fun that goes along with it!

Antique Tags and Wonderland Card-iology by Jari

This was also a very quick and easy card, too!  I just stamped Santa from the Antique Tags stamp set in Real Red onto a piece of Very Vanilla card stock and punched it out with the 2″ Circle Punch, then gave it a frame with a piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock that I die cut with a little larger circle from the Circles Collection Framelits.dies and embossed with the Decorative Dots TIEF.

Next, I stamped an image of the trees from the Wonderland stamp set in Mossy Meadow onto a larger panel of Very Vanilla, let it dry and then embossed it with the Softly Falling TIEF.  My tree image panel was glued to a panel of Mossy Meadow and I added a length of Real Red !/4″ Ribbon to the right side.  The bow was tied and added with a Glue Dot.  Dimensionals were added to the back and this layer was attached to the Mossy Meadow base that had been layered with the striped panel from the Home for Christmas DSP.

Cozy Christmas, Oh What FunFor the inside of the card, I used the Santa and sleigh image from Cozy Christmas and the sentiment is from the Oh What Fun stamp set.  I used the Corner Rounder punch for my Very Vanilla and Real Red panels before attaching them to the base.  Here is the card with its envelope ready to be mailed:

Stampin’ Up! Sheltering Tree for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

11960226_1268896359803603_8583437756952711798_n

Hi, and welcome again to our Happy Stampers Thursday Blog Hop!  We are all so excited to have you join us for our sketch challenge:

12043085_1271122592914313_575455954017426796_nIt’s always fun to see how everyone interprets the  challenge, whether it’s a sketch or color one.  If you have been following us for a while, you may have noticed that we alternate each week between sketch and color challenges.  This week, I wanted to pull out one of my favorite Stampin’ Up! stamp sets, Sheltering Tree.  The set is so versatile for any season and that is what makes it really appealing.

Sheltering Tree Card-iology by Jari

My card is truly very simple to make.  I used Whisper White Craft ink and Early Expresso ink on Smoky Slate Card Stock to give it an extra wintery look. The sentiment is from the Happy Scenes stamp set.

Sheltering Tree Card-iology by Jari

I took a snowflake and dabbed it onto my Versa Mark pad, then sprinkled Heat and Stick powder onto it and heated it with my Heat Tool until a little glossy.  Then, I added Silver Stampin’ Glitter and heated a little more till it dried. For a little extra shimmer, I used Silver Cording to wrap around the card twice and then tied a bow through the center of the snowflake.  Three Rhinestone Basic Jewels completed the front.  Now on to the inside:

The snowflake stamp from Sheltering Tree was stamped with Whisper White Craft ink and the sentiment, also from Happy Scenes, was stamped with Early Expresso ink onto a panel of Smoky Slate cardstock.  The Silver Foil snowflakes were cut out with the snowflake die from the Square Pillowbox Thinlits Dies.

Card cuts and tips will be at the end of my post.  Now, I hope you are ready to hop around to see what the talented Kristi Gray has designed for us.
