Seasonal Lantern Bundle for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Seasonal Lantern Bundle from Stampin’ Up! for the card I am sharing with you today.  We have a color challenge this week.

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Stampin' Up! Seasonal Lantern-Cardiology by Jari

My card base is Pool Party card stock, and the next layer is a panel of Quilted Christmas DSP matted to a panel of Real Red card stock and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.   Next, I matted a panel of Christmas Around the World (Pool Party/snow) to a panel of Pool Party card stock and adhered it to the center of the card with Liquid Glue.

Stampin' Up! Seasonal Lantern Bundle-Cardiology by Jari

Then, I stamped the lantern, candle, bow and greenery in Basic Black Archival ink and die cut them all with the Lantern Builder Framelits Dies.  I used my Pool Party, Emerald Envy, Crushed Curry, and Real Red Stampin’ Write Markers to color in all of the die cut images.  The candle was dry fitted into the lantern, then I stamped the candle flame above where the candle would be glued down in Crushed Curry ink.  The sentiment is one from the Seasonal Lantern stamp set and stamped in Basic Black Archival ink onto Whisper White.  I used my Paper Snips to notch either end, attached part of a Foil Snowflake with Liquid Glue, then added Stampin’ Dimensionals and popped it onto the narrow front panel.  Finally, the lantern was adorned with the greenery and bow, and then popped onto the front with more dimensionals.

The inside Whisper White panel was stamped with a sentiment from the Labels to Love stamp set.  Then, I stamped the floral image from Seasonal Lantern in Basic Black Archival ink, let it dry and then colored it in with Emerald Envy and Real Red Stampin’ Write Markers.  Enjoy!

Snowflake Sentiments Bundle for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday, welcome to our hop.  I used the Snowflake Sentiments Bundle to create the Christmas card I am sharing today.

Here is our sketch for this week:

Happy Inkin' Thursday Sketch Snowflake Sentiments

Stampin' Up! Snowflake Sentiments-Cardiology by Jari

I started by cutting one of my Snowflake Sentiments stamps apart!  I knew that I wanted to stamp some small snowflakes onto my Whisper White panel, so I just cut one off the end of the three.  Then I inked it up with Soft Sky, stamped it off once on scrap paper, and onto the Whisper White.  This panel was adhered to the Silver Foil with liquid glue.

Stampin' Up! Snowflake Sentiments-Cardiology by Jari

Next, I die cut a panel of Soft Sky with the pretty scalloped die from the Swirly Snowflake Thinlets.  I pulled out some Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper for the snowflake die, running it through the Big Shot 5-6 times because of the thickness of that paper.  I still had to use a Paper Piercing Tool to get some of the center parts out of the cut outs!  I used liquid glue to adhere the snowflakes to the scalloped outline, then adhered the panel to the Whisper White art panel.  Then, I used my Paper Snips to trim off the sides to fit.

The sentiment is from the Star of Light stamp set and was heat embossed with Versa Mark ink and Silver Emboss Powder.  I used some sequins and Rhinestone Basic Jewels to add some sparkle.  The art panel was adhered to the Soft Sky card stock base.

Stampin' Up! Snowflake Sentiments-Cardiology by Jari

The Whisper White panel was die cut on the bottom with another die from the Swirly Snowflake Thinlets.  The sentiment is from Snowflake Sentiments and heat embossed with Silver Emboss Powder.  Several snowflakes were die cut in Soft Sky and Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and adhered with Glue Dots.  A Rhinestone Jewel was added to the center of each snowflake.  Enjoy!

Merry Mistletoe for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Hop

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Time for another color challenge on Happy Inkin’ Thursday.  I used the Merry Mistletoe stamp set and Merry Little Christmas DSP to create the card I am sharing with you today.

Happy Inkin' Thursday Color challenge

Stampin' Up1 Merry Mistletoe-Cardiology by Jari

I really like these colors together for Christmas cards, don’t you?  This card really went together quickly once I saw the colors we were using this week.  The Merry Little Christmas DSP was a big help, too!  I used Whisper White Thick card stock as my card base, as well as for the reindeer, that I fussy cut out with my paper snips.  A panel of Old Olive card stock was adhered to the card base, then I stamped the sentiment from Merry Mistletoe in Basic Black Archival ink onto a panel of regular Whisper White card stock.  I inked up the sentiment, then carefully wiped off the mistletoe “leaves” with a baby wipe and re-inked them with an Old Olive Stampin’ Write Marker.

Stampin' Up! Merry Mistletoe-Cardiology by Jari

Next, a panel of the plaid Merry Little Christmas DSP was adhered to the lower portion of the art panel.  A length of Basic Black 3/8″ Shimmer Ribbon was wrapped around the panel and a bow was tied.  Stampin’ Dimensionals were added to the back and then popped onto the Old Olive panel.  I used a few Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals on the reindeer and popped him on and two Rhinestone Basic Jewels were added to the mistletoe.

Stampin' Up! Merry Mistletoe-Cardiology by Jari

The inside is also very simple, just a panel of Whisper White with the sentiment stamped in Basic Black Archival ink with one of the tree images from Merry Mistletoe stamped on either end in Old Olive ink.  Two Enamel Shape stars were added to the tree tops.  Enjoy!

A list of supplies and card stock cuts will follow.

Stampin’ Up! Year of Cheer for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper and the Flurry of Wishes stamp set to create my card for this week’s blog hop.  We have a sketch challenge that I think you will enjoy!

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Stampin' Up1 Year of Cheer-Cardiology by Jari

The Year of Cheer DSP really makes it easy to create a stunning card with very little effort!  I started with a Whisper White Thick card stock base and adhered a panel of the plaid Year of Cheer DSP to it with liquid glue.

Stampin' Up1 Year of Cheer-Cardiology by Jari

Next, I dry embossed a Champagne Foil panel with the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  Then, I popped it onto the front at an angle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Another panel from Year of Cheer DSP was adhered to the embossed panel with Glue Dots.

I inked up the sentiment from Flurry of Wishes in VersaMark ink, sprinkled it with Gold Emboss Powder and heated it until smooth and shiny.  The sentiment panel was then matted with a little larger panel of Gold Foil.  A banner was cut using the Bunch of Banners Thinlets Dies and Gold Foil, cut in half and adhered to the sentiment with Glue Dots.

The snowflake was die cut from the Swirly Snowflakes Thinlets Dies and one Rhinestone Basic Jewel added for a little bling.

Stampin' Up! Year of Cheer-Cardiology by Jari

More heat embossing for the inside sentiment, also from the Flurry of Wishes stamp set, and I finished it off with a little more of the Year of Cheer Specialty DSP on the back flap of the envelope.  Enjoy!

Merry Cafe & Pick a Pumpkin for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Merry Cafe and Pick a Pumpkin stamp sets to create my card for our color challenge today.  (And some help from the Colorful Seasons Bundle, too)

Happy Inkin' Thursday

hStampin' Up! Merry Cafe Pick a Pumpkin-Cardiology by Jari

All three of these stamp set/bundles have become favorites of mine! I started with the wood grain panel of Coffee Break DSP and dry embossed it with the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder.  Remember when using these thicker folders, spritz your paper lightly with water.  The embossed panel was adhered to a panel of Early Expresso, then I adhered a banner cut from another panel of the Coffee Break DSP and my Banner Triple Punch.  These were then popped onto the Tangerine Tango base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Merry Cafe-Pick a Pumpkin-Cardiology by Jari

The small leaf image from the Merry Cafe stamp set was stamped in Early Expresso ink onto a panel of Wood Textures DSP and the lid was stamped in Early Expresso onto Tangerine Tango.  Both were die cut with the Coffee Cups Framelits.  The sentiment was stamped in Tangerine Tango, die cut and then the edges were sponged with Early Expresso ink.  The pumpkins, from Pick a Pumpkin, were stamped and die cut with the Patterned Pumpkin Thinlets Dies.  The large veined leaf, from Colorful Seasons, was stamped in Early Expresso.  The smaller leaf is also from Colorful Seasons and was stamped in Lemon Lime Twist onto Lemon Lime Twist paper, die cut, then sponged with Early Expresso ink around the edges.

Stampin' Up! Merry Cafe-Pick a Pumpkin-Cardiology by Jari

For the inside, I chose to add one more of the pumpkins from the Pick a Pumpkin Bundle and added a little vine in Lemon Lime Twist.  Enjoy!

A complete list of stamping supplies and card stock cuts are at the end of the post.

Christmas Pines Noel for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Christmas Pines stamp set to create a Noel, or Christmas season card, for our hop today.  We are all playing with this sketch:

Happy Inkin' Thursday Noel sketch

Stampin' Up! Christmas Pines Noel-Cardiology by Jari

This stamp set and the Pretty Pines Thinlets dies are still a favorite of mine despite all of the wonderful new sets in the 2017 Holiday Catalog!  I started by dry embossing a panel of Garden Green with the Softly Falling embossing folder.  Then, I adhered two panels of the fun Be Merry Designer Series Paper with liquid glue.  I used some Stampin’ Dimensionals to then pop this panel onto my Cherry Cobbler card base.

Stampin' Up! Christmas Pines Noel-Cardiology by Jari

Next, I stamped Noel in Cherry Cobbler onto a panel of Whisper White Thick card stock and fussy cut it out with Paper Snips.  I also stamped the scrolly banner from the Christmas Pines set in Garden Green and fussy cut it out.  Noel was then adhered to the banner with dimensionals.  Several pine boughs were die cut using the Pretty Pines Thinlets Dies  and adhered to the front panel with glue dots.  I added a couple of other sprigs of Cherry Cobbler to fill it out and popped the banner on with dimensionals.  Three Rhinestone Basic Jewels were added for some bling to the front.

For the inside, I stamped a pine bough in Garden Green, stamping off once on scrap paper, then stamped the sentiment right over it in Cherry Cobbler.

Stampin’ Up! Merry Cafe for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Hi Stampers! We have a color challenge this week, and I used the Merry Cafe stamp set and Coffee Cups Framelits Dies to create the card I am sharing with you.

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Stampin' Up! Merry Cafe-Cardiology by Jari

I had so much fun with this Merry Cafe stamp set and these colors this week!  The Lemon Lime Twist and Real Red really make a statement together, don’t they?  Luckily, the Quilted Christmas DSP helped out with getting in all of the colors required.

As you can see, I also got in some dry embossing with the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for the Lemon Lime Twist backdrop.

Stampin' Up! Merry Cafe-Cardioloogy by Jari

The coffee cup images and lids were stamped onto the DSP, Garden Green and Real Red card stock with Soft Suede ink, then die cut out.  For the Whisper White cup sleeve, I stamped the sentiments on after die cutting it and added the holly berries and leaves, then went around the edges with my Soft Suede Stampin’ Write Marker to give a defined border.  The Lemon Lime Twist cup sleeve was die cut from the die with the ridges and a Silver Foil snowflake from the Seasonal Layers Thinlets was adhered to the center of it.

Stampin' Up! Merry Cafe-Cardiology by Jari

The Silver Foil swirl serving as steam is from the Swirly Snowflakes Thinlets Dies.  I matted the red-checked Quilted Christmas DSP onto some Whisper White and then onto the Lemon Lime Twist panel.  A length of 1/4″ Ombre Lemon Lime Twist was wrapped around then, and a bow tied.  The coffee cups were adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then the whole art panel adhered to the Real Red card stock base with more dimensionals.  An extra sentiment from Merry Cafe was stamped in Real Red, cut out with the smallest banner from the Bunch of Banners Framelits, adhered with dimensionals and the front was complete.

Stampin' Up! Merry Cafe-Cardiology by Jari

More holly and berries and the sentiment were stamped onto a Whisper White panel, then a thin strip of the Quilted Christmas DSP was added to the bottom and my card was finished!

A complete list of stamping supplies and card stock cuts will be at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Christmas for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Christmas stamp set to create the card I am sharing for our blog hop today.

Stampin' Up! Watercolor Christmas-Cardiology by Jari

Our sketch for this week:

Happy Inkin' Thursday Sketch

I started with a pattern from the Quilted Christmas DSP and adhered it to my Real Red card stock base.  Then, I created a banner with another pattern from the Quilted Christmas DSP and also adhered it to the center front of the card.  I cut a length of the pretty Quilted Christmas 1/4″ Ribbon, notched either end with Paper Snips and adhered it to the center of the banner with thin strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.

Stampin' Up! Watercolor Christmas-Cardiology by Jari

Next, a Foil Snowflake was cut in half and adhered just above and below the ribbon with glue dots.  Don’t you just love the font of this sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Wishes stamp set?  It was stamped in Real Red and cut out with an oval from the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies, then matted with a Real Red scalloped oval and a Garden Green regular oval shape.  The small Christmas tree is just one of three tree images from the set and stamped in Garden Green.

The inside sentiment was stamped in Real Red onto a Whisper White panel, a thin strip of coordinating DSP was adhered to the bottom of the panel and then both adhered to the card base with Liquid Glue.

A complete list of stamping supplies and card stock cuts are at the end of my post.

Halloween Labels to Love for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

We’re back with a color challenge this week, and it screams fall, doesn’t it?

Happy Inkin' Thursday Sketch Challenge Halloween Label

I used the Labels to Love stamp set to create a Halloween card for today.  As I have stated before, Labels to Love is perfect for a Halloween Label, Thanksgiving Label, Christmas Label, New Year’s Label or Valentine’s Label.  Whew! that’s a lot of holidays covered with one stamp set!

I also pulled out the Patterned Pumpkin Thinlets Dies and the Spooky Night Designer Series paper to add to my Halloween label to make it more festive and get in all of the colors for this week.  Here is a little closer look:

I kept it pretty simple for the inside of the card using more of the DSP for the small pumpkin and the Patterned Pumpkins Thinlets for the Basic Black Jack-o-Lantern.

A list of stamping supplies, card stock cuts and steps to create this card will be at the end of my post.  Now, for more of the hop.  Click the Next Blog icon to see what Kristi has created for today.

Stampin’ Up! Snowflake Sentiments for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Snowflake Sentiments Bundle to create the card I am sharing for our sketch challenge this week.  As I write this post, I am sitting at my son’s house 35 miles away from my home to use his electricity and internet!  We got a lot of wind damage during Irma and our whole little town is without power until Georgia Power gets to us!  That may be Saturday or Sunday, so those of you who regularly follow my blog posts, I will be back up and running hopefully early next week!  One other quick note, my pictures will look a little dark, too-I had to use the little bit of light coming through my window 🙂

Here is our sketch:

Happy Inkin' Thursday Snowflake

I started by die cutting either end of a panel of Foil Frenzy Specialty DSP with the Card Front Builder Thinlets Dies, then adhered it to a panel of Soft Sky with small dabs of glue from my Fine Tip Glue Pen.

Next, I inked up one of the sentiments from Snowflake Sentiments with Versa Mark ink, sprinkled it with Silver Emboss Powder and heat embossed it until smooth and shiny on a panel of Whisper White.  I used an oval Stitched Shapes die to cut it out, then adhered it to a Soft Sky scalloped oval from the Layering Ovals Framelits dies.

Next, I pleated a length of Soft Sky 3/8″ Classic Weave Ribbon, adhering it at every pleat with a small amount of Tear & Tape Adhesive, then notched each end with my Paper Snips.  It was adhered to the sentiment oval with Glue Dots, then the whole oval added to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I die cut two of the snowflakes from the Swirly Snowflakes Thinlets dies, adhered them with liquid glue, added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel and adhered the whole thing to the sentiment oval with a glue dot.  Finally, the whole art panel was added to the Whisper White card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the inside, I added another snowflake and a strip of the Foil Frenzy Specialty DSP to the Whisper White panel, then adhered them to a panel of Soft Sky.
