Stampin’ Up! Amazing You for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

It’s Happy Inkin’ Thursday on the last Thursday in 2017, wow, where has this year gone?  We have a sketch to challenge us this week and I used the Amazing You stamp set and Celebrate You Thinlets Dies to create my card for today.  Both the stamp set and thinlets dies are available for FREE during Sale-A-Bration beginning on January 3rd.

Stampin' Up! Amazing You-Cardiology by Jari

I started with a Whisper White Thick card stock base.  A panel of the Year of Cheer Specialty DSP was adhered to a panel of Copper Foil with liquid glue and a length of 1/4″ Copper Trim was wrapped around and finished with a bow.  I secured the ribbon with some tape on the back before adhering the whole panel to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

An oval was cut with one of the largest Layering Ovals Framelits Dies from Whisper White card stock.  Then, I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig for placement of the words celebrate and you from the Amazing You stamp set (available January 3rd).  They were stamped in Versa Mark ink, sprinkled with Copper Emboss Powder and heat embossed until smooth and shiny.  Next, I die cut the largest scalloped oval from the Layering Ovals Framelits in Silver Foil and adhered it to the sentiment oval with Liquid Glue.

I die cut the word amazing from the Celebrate You Thinlets (available January 3rd) three times from Silver Foil, adhered them with tiny dots of Liquid Glue, then adhered them to the oval with more Liquid Glue.  For a final touch, I used the Pretty Pines Thinlets Dies to cut out a single branch in Copper Foil, added one Rhinestone Basic Jewel with a glue dot and the front was completed.  Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Bird Banter for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Bird Banter stamp set to share with you for our sketch challenge for the blog hop today.  When I saw Bird Banter at OnStage in November, I fell in love with the cute images and sentiments.  I know you will. too!  Bird Banter is available to order on January 3, 2018.

Stampin' Up! Bird Banter-CardiologybyJari

Stampin' Up! Bird Banter-CardiologybyJari

My card base is Bermuda Bay.  A panel of Bubbles & Fizz DSP (FREE during Sale-a-Bration!) was adhered to a panel of Whisper White, then a smaller panel of the same Bubbles & Fizz (the back side) was adhered to a panel of Daffodil Delight, then adhered to the first panel with liquid glue.  Both were then popped onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Bird Banter-CardiologybyJari

Next, I stamped the parrot and birthday hat, from Bird Banter, in Tuxedo Memento Black ink onto a panel of Whisper White Thick card stock.  I colored each image in with my Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, and Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends.  I also used a Calypso Coral Stampin’ Write Marker for an accent on the wing feather and hat.  After coloring them in, I fussy cut them out with my Paper Snips scissors.

Stampin' Up! Bird Banter-Cardiology by Jari

The sentiment was stamped in the top right corner of a Whisper White panel.  Then, I stamped the branch in Tuxedo Memento Black and colored in the leaves with my Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Write Marker.  The two short branches with leaves were then stamped and fussy cut.   I used my Everyday Label Punch to cut out a label shape from another panel from the Bubbles & Fizz DSP and cut it in half horizontally.  The halved label was adhered to the back of the art panel with liquid glue, then popped onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The parrot, hat and leaves were then added wit more Stampin’ Dimensionals and one Bermuda Bay Enamel Shape heart was added for some bling.

Stampin' Up! Bird Banter-CardiologybyJari

For the inside, I used the Happy Birthday Thinlets Dies to cut 2 Bermuda Bay and 1 Daffodil Delight sentiments, adhered the 2 Bermuda Bay cuts together with dabs of liquid glue, then offset the Daffodil Delight just a little before adhereing it to the other two to create a shadow effect.  Enjoy!

Christmas Cheer for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Time for some extra Christmas Cheer!  Don’t you just love this time of year?  Even though it is crazy and rushed, there is always a wonderful excitement in the air.  I used the Merry Cafe stamp set with a little help from the Coffee Cups Framelits, Pretty Pines Thinlets, Swirly Snowflake Thinlets and Seasonal Layers Thinlets Dies, whew!

We have a color challenge this week and since the colors are Gold, Real Red, and Garden Green, I decided to make one more Christmas card!

Stampin' Up! Christmas Cheer-CardiologybyJari

The Whisper White panel was dry embossed with the Softly Falling TIEF and adhered to a panel of Quilted Christmas DSP.  I cut a length of Quilted Christmas 1/4″ Ribbon and wrapped it around the matted panel, then tied a bow.

Stampin' Up! Christmas Cheer-CardiologybyJari

Next, I die cut the coffee cup and whipped cream from the Coffee Cups Framelits Dies, colored in the edges of the cream with my Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Marker, and adhered it to the top of the cup.  The cup was then popped onto my layered panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I stamped the sentiment with Garden Green and Real Red ink and cut out a circle with one of the Stitched Shapes Dies and matted it onto a Real Red scalloped circle from the Layering Circles Framelits Dies.

Stampin' Up! Christmas Cheer-CardiologybyJari

From Gold Foil, I die cut a snowflake from the Seasonal Layers Framelits Dies and the swirl from the Swirly Snowflakes Thinlets Dies.  Next, I pulled out the Pretty Pines Thinlets and cut several pine boughs in Garden Green and the berries in Real Red.  Then I began putting all of the parts together with Glue Dots and I added the the sentiment circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Christmas Cheer-CardiologybyJari

The inside sentiment is also from Merry Cafe and was stamped in Real Red ink.  The strip of DSP at the bottom matches the pattern used on the card front.  Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Merry Little Labels for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Merry Little Labels stamp set to create the card I am sharing for our sketch challenge this week.

Stampin' Up! Merry Little Labels-CardiologybyJari

If you are looking for a quick and easy Christmas card, look no further than the Merry Little Labels stamp set!  I also purchased this set as a bundle with the Everyday Label Punch and saved 10%.  The punch also works with the Labels to Love stamp set, and you’ll see a little farther down, I enlisted that set in this card, too!

I stamped the sentiment in Real Red ink, then wiped off the holly leaves with a baby wipe and re-inked them with my Garden Green Stampin’ Write marker.  Stampin' Up! Merry Little Labels-CardiologybyJari

I used the die from the Swirly Snowflake Thinlets as a divider between the two panels of Quilted Chrismas DSP.  The Foil Snowflake was adhered with liquid glue to the card front, then a length of the Quilted Christmas 1/4″ Ribbon was added with some glue dots.  Once the ribbon was adhered, I added the sentiment circles with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Merry Little Lables-CardiologybyJari

The inside sentiment is one from the Labels to Love stamp set and I used the ink to rubber method to stamp it with my Real Red and Garden Green Stampin’ Write Markers.  The two Christmas trees are die cut in Garden Green using the Card Front Builder Thinlets Dies.  If you look closely you will see that I used my Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to make them sparkle a little.  Enjoy!

Card stock cuts and project supplies will be found at the end of my post.

Carols of Christmas for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thanksgiving, I hope you are enjoying friends and family today!  Thanks for taking some time out of your busy schedule to join us for Happy Inkin’ Thursday.  I used the Carols of Christmas stamp set to create my card for our sketch challenge.

Stampin' Up! Carols of Christmas

I started with a panel from the Merry Little Christmas DSP and adhered it to a panel of Basic Black card stock with liquid glue.  Then, I popped that panel onto the Cherry Cobbler card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Next, I stamped the sentiment from Carols of Christmas in Cherry Cobbler ink onto a Whisper White panel.  I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the accent stamp and stamped it in Old Olive ink above and below the sentiment.

Stampin' Up! Carols of Christmas-Cardiology by Jari

Carols of Christmas comes in a bundle, so I stamped the holly leaves and berries using the stamp to rubber method with an Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Write marker and die cut them with the corresponding die from the Card Front Builder Thinlets.  They were adhered with liquid glue, then the art panel was adhered to a slightly larger panel of Cherry Cobbler.  I created a bow with the Cherry Cobbler 1/4″ Double Stitched Ribbon, adhered it with Glue Dots, then popped the sentiment panel onto the card front with more dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Carols of Christmas-Cardiology by Jari

For the inside of my card, I chose a sentiment and image from Merry Mistletoe, stamping the sentiment in Basic Black Archival ink, and using the ink to rubber method for the Mistletoe.  I used the Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Write markers to color the image, then huffed on it before stamping onto the Whisper White panel.  Enjoy!

Seasonal Lantern Bundle for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Seasonal Lantern Bundle from Stampin’ Up! for the card I am sharing with you today.  We have a color challenge this week.

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Stampin' Up! Seasonal Lantern-Cardiology by Jari

My card base is Pool Party card stock, and the next layer is a panel of Quilted Christmas DSP matted to a panel of Real Red card stock and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.   Next, I matted a panel of Christmas Around the World (Pool Party/snow) to a panel of Pool Party card stock and adhered it to the center of the card with Liquid Glue.

Stampin' Up! Seasonal Lantern Bundle-Cardiology by Jari

Then, I stamped the lantern, candle, bow and greenery in Basic Black Archival ink and die cut them all with the Lantern Builder Framelits Dies.  I used my Pool Party, Emerald Envy, Crushed Curry, and Real Red Stampin’ Write Markers to color in all of the die cut images.  The candle was dry fitted into the lantern, then I stamped the candle flame above where the candle would be glued down in Crushed Curry ink.  The sentiment is one from the Seasonal Lantern stamp set and stamped in Basic Black Archival ink onto Whisper White.  I used my Paper Snips to notch either end, attached part of a Foil Snowflake with Liquid Glue, then added Stampin’ Dimensionals and popped it onto the narrow front panel.  Finally, the lantern was adorned with the greenery and bow, and then popped onto the front with more dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Seasonal Lantern Bundle-Cardiology by Jari

The inside Whisper White panel was stamped with a sentiment from the Labels to Love stamp set.  Then, I stamped the floral image from Seasonal Lantern in Basic Black Archival ink, let it dry and then colored it in with Emerald Envy and Real Red Stampin’ Write Markers.  Enjoy!

Snowflake Sentiments Bundle for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday, welcome to our hop.  I used the Snowflake Sentiments Bundle to create the Christmas card I am sharing today.

Here is our sketch for this week:

Happy Inkin' Thursday Sketch Snowflake Sentiments

Stampin' Up! Snowflake Sentiments-Cardiology by Jari

I started by cutting one of my Snowflake Sentiments stamps apart!  I knew that I wanted to stamp some small snowflakes onto my Whisper White panel, so I just cut one off the end of the three.  Then I inked it up with Soft Sky, stamped it off once on scrap paper, and onto the Whisper White.  This panel was adhered to the Silver Foil with liquid glue.

Stampin' Up! Snowflake Sentiments-Cardiology by Jari

Next, I die cut a panel of Soft Sky with the pretty scalloped die from the Swirly Snowflake Thinlets.  I pulled out some Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper for the snowflake die, running it through the Big Shot 5-6 times because of the thickness of that paper.  I still had to use a Paper Piercing Tool to get some of the center parts out of the cut outs!  I used liquid glue to adhere the snowflakes to the scalloped outline, then adhered the panel to the Whisper White art panel.  Then, I used my Paper Snips to trim off the sides to fit.

The sentiment is from the Star of Light stamp set and was heat embossed with Versa Mark ink and Silver Emboss Powder.  I used some sequins and Rhinestone Basic Jewels to add some sparkle.  The art panel was adhered to the Soft Sky card stock base.

Stampin' Up! Snowflake Sentiments-Cardiology by Jari

The Whisper White panel was die cut on the bottom with another die from the Swirly Snowflake Thinlets.  The sentiment is from Snowflake Sentiments and heat embossed with Silver Emboss Powder.  Several snowflakes were die cut in Soft Sky and Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and adhered with Glue Dots.  A Rhinestone Jewel was added to the center of each snowflake.  Enjoy!

I really like these colors together for Christmas cards, don’t you?  This card really went together quickly once I saw the colors we were using this week.  The Merry Little Christmas DSP was a big help, too!  I used Whisper White Thick card stock as my card base, as well as for the reindeer, that I fussy cut out with my paper snips.  A panel of Old Olive card stock was adhered to the card base, then I stamped the sentiment from Merry Mistletoe in Basic Black Archival ink onto a panel of regular Whisper White card stock.  I inked up the sentiment, then carefully wiped off the mistletoe “leaves” with a baby wipe and re-inked them with an Old Olive Stampin’ Write Marker.

Next, a panel of the plaid Merry Little Christmas DSP was adhered to the lower portion of the art panel.  A length of Basic Black 3/8″ Shimmer Ribbon was wrapped around the panel and a bow was tied.  Stampin’ Dimensionals were added to the back and then popped onto the Old Olive panel.  I used a few Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals on the reindeer and popped him on and two Rhinestone Basic Jewels were added to the mistletoe.

The inside is also very simple, just a panel of Whisper White with the sentiment stamped in Basic Black Archival ink with one of the tree images from Merry Mistletoe stamped on either end in Old Olive ink.  Two Enamel Shape stars were added to the tree tops.  Enjoy!

A list of supplies and card stock cuts will follow.

Stampin’ Up! Year of Cheer for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper and the Flurry of Wishes stamp set to create my card for this week’s blog hop.  We have a sketch challenge that I think you will enjoy!

Stampin' Up1 Year of Cheer-Cardiology by Jari

The Year of Cheer DSP really makes it easy to create a stunning card with very little effort!  I started with a Whisper White Thick card stock base and adhered a panel of the plaid Year of Cheer DSP to it with liquid glue.

Next, I dry embossed a Champagne Foil panel with the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  Then, I popped it onto the front at an angle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Another panel from Year of Cheer DSP was adhered to the embossed panel with Glue Dots.

I inked up the sentiment from Flurry of Wishes in VersaMark ink, sprinkled it with Gold Emboss Powder and heated it until smooth and shiny.  The sentiment panel was then matted with a little larger panel of Gold Foil.  A banner was cut using the Bunch of Banners Thinlets Dies and Gold Foil, cut in half and adhered to the sentiment with Glue Dots.

The snowflake was die cut from the Swirly Snowflakes Thinlets Dies and one Rhinestone Basic Jewel added for a little bling.

More heat embossing for the inside sentiment, also from the Flurry of Wishes stamp set, and I finished it off with a little more of the Year of Cheer Specialty DSP on the back flap of the envelope.  Enjoy!

Merry Cafe & Pick a Pumpkin for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Merry Cafe and Pick a Pumpkin stamp sets to create my card for our color challenge today.  (And some help from the Colorful Seasons Bundle, too)

Happy Inkin' Thursday

hStampin' Up! Merry Cafe Pick a Pumpkin-Cardiology by Jari

All three of these stamp set/bundles have become favorites of mine! I started with the wood grain panel of Coffee Break DSP and dry embossed it with the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder.  Remember when using these thicker folders, spritz your paper lightly with water.  The embossed panel was adhered to a panel of Early Expresso, then I adhered a banner cut from another panel of the Coffee Break DSP and my Banner Triple Punch.  These were then popped onto the Tangerine Tango base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The small leaf image from the Merry Cafe stamp set was stamped in Early Expresso ink onto a panel of Wood Textures DSP and the lid was stamped in Early Expresso onto Tangerine Tango.  Both were die cut with the Coffee Cups Framelits.  The sentiment was stamped in Tangerine Tango, die cut and then the edges were sponged with Early Expresso ink.  The pumpkins, from Pick a Pumpkin, were stamped and die cut with the Patterned Pumpkin Thinlets Dies.  The large veined leaf, from Colorful Seasons, was stamped in Early Expresso.  The smaller leaf is also from Colorful Seasons and was stamped in Lemon Lime Twist onto Lemon Lime Twist paper, die cut, then sponged with Early Expresso ink around the edges.

For the inside, I chose to add one more of the pumpkins from the Pick a Pumpkin Bundle and added a little vine in Lemon Lime Twist.  Enjoy!

A complete list of stamping supplies and card stock cuts are at the end of the post.
