Carols of Christmas for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Inkin’ Thursday!  My share for today is from the Carols of Christmas stamp set bundle from Stampin’ Up!

Our colors for the week: Soft Suede, Soft Sky and Pear Pizzaz

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop color challenge

Stampin' Up! Carols of Christmas

The Carols of Christmas Bundle will be available for purchase on August 1st.  But, you could get the stamp set for free now just by joining Stampin’ Up!  Then, use your Bonus Coupons to purchase the Card Front Builder Thinlets Dies in August.  See more details in the Christmas in July information later in my post.

I started with a panel of Soft Sky card stock and used the Card Front Builder Thinlets to cut out the moon and stars at the top.  A panel of Dazzling Diamonds Designer Series Paper was adhered to the back with some Liquid Multipurpose Glue. Stampin' Up! Carol of Christmas-Cardiology by Jari

Next, I dry embossed a panel of Soft Suede card stock with the Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and adhered it to the Soft Sky panel with liquid glue.  The trees were die cut from Pear Pizzaz, topped with some glue from my Fine Tip Glue Pen and sprinkled with Dazzling Diamonds glitter.  I set them aside to dry and stamped two deer using the deer stamp from Carols of Christmas in Soft Suede ink.  They were cut out using the coordinating die from the bundle.

Stampin' Up! Carols of Christmas-Cardiology by Jari

The snow bank was created with the swirly die from the Swirly Scribbles Thinlets from more Dazzling Diamonds DSP. Two of the trees were adhered to the Soft Suede panel, then I added the snow bank with more liquid glue.  The trees in the foreground were added with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the deer with liquid glue.

A length of Soft Sky 3/8″ Classic Weave Ribbon was adhered to the front with Tear & Tape Adhesive and the art panel popped onto the Soft Sky card stock base with dimensionals. I masked off the bottom half of the sentiment stamp with some tape, inked it in VersaMark, sprinkled on White Emboss Powder and heat embossed it onto a panel of Soft Sky.  Layering Ovals Framelits and Stitched Shapes Framelits were used to cut out the sentiment panel and mats.

Stampin' Up! Carols of Christmas-Cardiology by JariI stamped the snowflake image from the Christmas Pines stamp set in Soft Sky onto a panel of Whisper White, then stamped the sentiment, also from Christmas Pines,  in Pear Pizzaz over them.  Another glittered Pear Pizzaz tree was adhered with glue and then the whole panel adhered to the base with liquid glue.  Enjoy!

A complete list of stamping supplies including card stock cuts will be at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Happy Birthday Gorgeous for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Inkin’ Thursday, everyone!  I am sharing a card created with one of the new stamps sets called Happy Birthday Gorgeous, from the 2017-2018 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog that goes live today!  Can you believe it is June 1st?  I know there are a lot of happy people out there who have been waiting (not so patiently, I bet) to place an order.  So glad you joined us, we are all excited, too!

Stampin' Up! Happy Birthday Gorgeous-Cardiology by Jari

Our challenge this week was to use the following colors:

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

The inspiration for my sketch is from Hand Stamped Sentiments HSS #265

Hand Stamped Sentiments #265

My card base is Old Olive with a panel of Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper adhered to the left side with some liquid glue.  Aren’t you glad you can order this paper today?  Ordering begins after 12:00 Mountain Time.  Yay!

I stamped a panel of Whisper White card stock with the splatter stamp from Touches of Texture in Old Olive ink.  I wanted it to be a subtle color, so I stamped off twice on scrap paper.

Stampin' Up! Happy Birthday Gorgeous-Cardiology by Jari

Next, I stamped the flower pods and stems in Rich Razzleberry, then the leaves in Old Olive. The flowers in Happy Birthday Gorgeous are 2-step stamps, so I stamped first in Rich Razzleberry.  The second stamping was in Pool Party that had been stamped off twice.  I fussy cut all of the flower heads and set them aside.  Then, I inked up the sentiment in Rich Razzleberry and stamped it on the bottom of my art panel.  The art panel was framed with a panel of Old Olive card stock

The small flowers were adhered to the art panel with some liquid glue, and then the larger ones added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Several  Pearls were added for a little bling, and the whole art panel popped onto the front with Dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Happy Birthday Gorgeous-Cardiology by Jari

My original plan was to add the Happy Birthday sentiment to the front of the card, but I wasn’t happy with that, so I decided to add it and some of the flowers to the inside.

A complete list of supplies as well as card stock cuts for my Happy Birthday Gorgeous birthday card will be at the end of the post.

Stampin’ Up! Heartfelt Sympathy for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome once again to our Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  I’m using the Heartfelt Sympathy stamp set from Stampin’ Up! to create the card I’m sharing today.  I decided to use this as an encouragement card rather than a sympathy card by featuring just one of the sentiments.  Take a look….

Stampin' Up! Heartfelt Sympathy-Cardiology by Jari

And, here is our sketch:
Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I stepped out of my comfort zone a little with this card today!  I wasn’t sure about the new In-Color, Fresh Fig, but decided to try it paired with Old Olive, and I really do like it.  Hope you like it, too!

First, I stamped the sentiment from Heartfelt Sympathy in Versa Mark ink onto a panel of Whisper White card stock. Then, I sprinkled it with Copper Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  Once cooled, I used my Blender Pen with a small amount of Old Olive ink and colored over and around the leaf images.

Stampin' Up! Heartfelt Sympathy-Cardiology by Jari

Next, I stamped four small flowers from Birthday Blooms in Fresh Fig ink, fussy cut them with my Paper Snips, and colored in the centers with my Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Write Marker.  My sentiment panel was die cut with the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies and then matted with a little larger scalloped oval in Copper Foil card stock.
Stampin' Up! Heartfelt Sympathy-Cardiology by Jari

I layered a panel of the new Color Theory Designer Series Paper (available June 1st) onto a panel of Old Olive, then adhered them to my Fresh Fig card stock base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A little creative license was then taken with the sketch, as I decided to use the curvy Swirly Scribbles Thinlets die behind my sentiment panel.  I die cut a piece of Fresh Fig card stock and trimmed it to fit the front of the card.  It was adhered with little dabs of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Finally, the flowers were adhered and the sentiment panel was popped on with dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Heartfelt Sympathy-Cardiology by Jari

My inside sentiment was chosen from You’ve Got This, and was also heat embossed with Copper Emboss Powder. The leaves were another image from Heartfelt Sympathy, and I used the same technique with my Blender Pen.  The fourth flower I stamped earlier was then adhered with some liquid glue.  For the bottom of my sentiment panel, I added a left over strip of the Color Theory DSP used on the front of my card.

A complete list of Stampin’ Up! supplies and card stock cuts for creating my card will be at the end of the post.

Stampin’ Up! Just Add Text for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I’m sharing a sneak peek of the new stamp set, Just Add Text, (available June 1st) for our Hop.

Stampin' U! Just Add Text-Cardiology by Jari

We have some fun colors today, too:

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

My sketch was inspired by Sunday Stamps SSC 152

SSC152

I started by stamping the Just Add Text sentiment/image in Night of Navy onto a panel of Whisper White.  Then, I colored in the flowers and leaves with my Daffodil Delight and Old Olive Stampin’ Write Markers.  The panel was die cut with a Stitched Shapes oval and adhered to a Daffodil Delight scalloped oval from the Layering Ovals Framelits with glue.

Stampin' Up! Just Add Text-Cardiology by Jari

Next, I dry embossed a Whisper White panel with the Oh My Stars Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (available June 1st) , then adhered it to a panel of Night of Navy with glue.  That whole panel was popped onto the Daffodil Delight card stock base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I pulled out some of the beautiful Delightful Daisy DSP (available June 1st) and adhered a panel to another panel of Night of Navy, then adhered it to the front with glue.

Stampin' Up! Just Add Text-Cardiology by Jari

The sentiment oval was popped on with dimensionals and a Daffodil Delight Enamel Shape heart added for a little bling.

Stampin' Up! Just Add Text-Cardiology by Jari

Another sentiment from Just Add Text stamped in Night of Navy, and a left over strip of the Delightful Daisy DSP added to the bottom.  The Whisper White panel was adhered to a panel of Night of Navy, then both were adhered to the base with more liquid glue.

A complete list of stamping supplies and card stock cuts for Just Add Text will be at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Background Bits Sneak Peek for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I’m sharing a sneak peek of the Host set, Background Bits, from the upcoming 2017-2018 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog today.

Stampin' Up! Background Bits-Cardiology by Jari

Here is our sketch

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop sketch challenge

I started by adhering a panel of Color Theory DSP (available June 1st) onto a panel of Old Olive card stock.  Next, I cut a scalloped square panel from Delightful Daisy DSP (available June 1st) and adhered it to the Old Olive panels with liquid glue.  I stamped the script image stamp from Background Bits onto a panel of Whisper White, stamping off once each time to lighten the Old Olive ink a little.  That panel was adhered directly to the front with more liquid glue.

Stampin' Up! Background Bits-Cardiology by Jari

Next, I used the ink to rubber method (color directly on the stamp with Stampin’ Write markers) on the flowers and stems, using Old Olive and Calypso Coral inks.  The flower grouping was die cut with a Layering Circle Framelit and framed with a Calypso Coral Scalloped Circle.

Versa Mark ink and White Emboss Powder were used for the sentiment and then heat embossed.  I used my Banner Triple Punch to punch one end, added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel and adhered it to the circles.  Finally, I popped the sentiment/art panel onto the Old Olive Layers with dimensionals, then added that whole panel to my Calypso Coral card base with more dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Background Bits-Cardiology by Jari

The ink to rubber method was used again for the flower and stem, but for the sentiment and bottom stamp trim, I just stamped the Old Olive regularly.

*Card stock cuts and a complete list of stamping supplies needed to create this card are at the end of the post.

Don’t you just love the images in Background Bits?  Remember, it is a new Host Exclusive Set available June 1st.
