Stampin’ Up! Hang Your Stocking Mini Treat Bags

Today I have a couple of Mini Treat Bags using the Hang Your Stocking Bundle, all ready to stuff with some goodies.  I hadn’t used the Mini Treat Bags Thinlets in a while and decided to pull them out and create something.

Mini Treat Bags

If you are looking for a great little bag that comes together quickly and that you can decorate in any way your heart desires, this one is it!  The Mini-Treat Bag Thinlets have been around for a while, and I see why, they are really versatile.  I also love the Hang Your Stocking bundle for Christmas this year, so I pulled it out to decorate the fronts of these bags.

I used Mint Macaron card stock for the actual bags, and decorated them with one of the snowflake stamps from Hang Your Stocking.  They were stamped randomly onto the fronts with Mint Macaron ink, then I went over them with Wink of Stella.  The snow flakes are sparkling, but you cannot tell in the photo!

Mini Treat Bag

I used a sentiment from Tin of Tags for this mini treat bag, stamping it in Emerald Envy ink.  The holly and berries are from the Hang Your Stocking stamp set and are stamped in Emerald Envy and Cherry Cobbler inks.  For the banner, I used some Presents and Pinecones DSP and the Banners Framelits to die cut it.

Mini Treat Bag

For this mini treat bag, I die cut Noel with the Christmas Stocking Thinlets Dies and carefully added dots of liquid glue to attach it to the bottom.  I used a Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Write Marker to create stitching for the heel and toe of this stocking.  The frame was die cut with a scalloped oval from the Layering Ovals Framelits with a plain oval of Cherry Cobbler behind the DSP.

Card stock cuts in inches will be at the end of the post along with the products used.

Christmas Gift Tags and Blog Candy Reminder

christmas Gift Tags

Are your presents all wrapped and under the tree?  If so , you are way ahead of me!!  I am sharing some Christmas Gift Tags for you today using several of the wonderful products from the 2016 Holiday Catalog, soon to be replaced by all of the wonderful new products from Stampin’ Up!  Before I share them, though, I want to remind you I am giving away some blog candy this weekend.  Check out my post from yesterday HERE that tells you all about it.

Here is a group shot of the Christmas Gift Tags.

Christmas Gift Tags

I didn’t just make them flat tags, though, they are folded, and I have stamped the To and From on the inside.

Christmas Gift Tags

For these tags, I used the Christmas Stockings Thinlits Dies.  I used the largest die to cut the base stocking in Whisper White Thick card stock.  I cut a 2 1/4″ x 5″ panel of Whisper White and scored it at 2 1/2″.  Then, I placed the large plain stocking die on my paper with the top edge of the die just above the top of the paper (where the fold was) and ran it through the Big Shot.  Next, I used Real Red, Cucumber Crush and Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper to create  the cute cut outs. stocking tops and bows.  I used my 1/8″ Handheld Circle Punch to create a hole for the tie.

This next picture shows how I stamped the inside of all of the gift tags.

Christmas Gift Tags

Here is a close up of the tag created with the Jar of Love, Jar of Cheer and the Everyday Jars Framelits Dies.

Christmas Gift Tags

For this gift tag, I used Kraft card stock.  I stamped the jar and the snowman image in Soft Suede ink. Then I inked the snow image from Jar of Cheer in Versa Mark ink, sprinkled it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I colored in the scarf, hat and nose with Cucumber Crush, Real Red and Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Write Markers.  To cut out the tag, I lined up the jar framelit at the top of the fold in the paper.  I let it hang over the top edge just a little so that I would have another folded tag.  I used the lid stamp from Jar of Love and stamped it in Real Red onto Whisper White card stock and die cut it.  The holly and berries are from Hang Your Stocking.  I also used a little Wink of Stella to make the snow areas sparkle!

I wanted to try my hand at one more tag with a fold, so I stamped the gingerbread boy from Cookie Cutter Christmas in Crumb Cake ink onto Whisper White thick card stock.  That was too thick for my Cookie Cutter Punch, so I switched to regular Whisper White card stock.  I cut another panel about 2″ x 5″, folded it in half and stamped right at the top of the fold, then punched it out making sure I left some of the fold in tact.  Hopefully, that makes sense!

I punched a hole again and added some of the Candy Cane Lane Baker’s Twine (used in all of the tags) so that the tag can be attached to a gift.

Are you ready to try creating some folded Christmas Gift Tags?

Products used in creating my gift tags are listed at the end of the post.

Joy to the World for the Paper Players

I’m using the sentiment, Joy to the World, from Tin of Tags (on the retiring list and 20% off) for the focus of my card today.

Joy to the World

My card design was inspired by The Paper Players PP323

Paper Players 323

I started by layering a panel of This Christmas Specialty DSP onto a panel of Basic Black card stock.  I really love this sheet music design!  Then I chose the floral pattern from This Christmas DSP, and paired it with a panel of Garden Green.

Joy to the World

I cut a strip of Cherry Cobbler with one of the Flourish Thinlets Dies and adhered it to a panel of Garden Green to create a banner.  Joy to the World seemed appropriate for the sentiment and was stamped with Cherry Cobbler onto a panel of Very Vanilla. I used a Stitched Framelits Die to cut it out and framed it with a scalloped Layering Circle in Cherry Cobbler.

Joy to the World

Some Gold Natural Trim and Gold Baker’s Twine (on sale) were added before popping on the sentiment with dimensionals.

Joy to the World

The Merry Christmas sentiment is from Hang Your Stockings, and stamped in Cherry Cobbler.  I fussy cut some of the floral This Christmas DSP, and adhered it just above to break up some of the starkness of the Very Vanilla panel.

Card stock cuts in inches are at the end of my post along with Stampin’ Up! products used to create my card.

Hang Your Stocking for the Happy Stampers

Hang Your Stocking for Happy Stampers Blog Hop

It’s not long until you will need to Hang Your Stocking!  Can you believe how close we are to Christmas?  Today we have a color challenge using Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla, perfect for the holidays!  So, I decided to use the Hang Your Stocking Bundle.  What a great set of stamps and Thinlets Dies!  (And, the stamps are on sale right now!)

Our colors:

Happy Stampers color challenge

Here is what I created today:

Hang Your Stocking

My Very Vanilla panel was dry embossed with the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (TIEF). then I attached some strips of Warmth & Cheer DSP with liquid glue.  I created two stockings using Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green DSP with the Christmas Stocking Thinlets Dies.  Then, I stamped the holly images from Hang Your Stocking in Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green.  They were die cut with the same thinlets dies and bows added with the Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green Baker’s Twine from the Baker’s Twine Trio pack.

Hang Your stocking

Next, I cut out the Noel in Cherry Cobbler and attached it to the front panel with little dabs of liquid glue.  Then, Rhinestone Basic Jewels were added to the centers of the stockings before I popped them onto the front with dimensionals.  When I die cut the Very Vanilla part of the stockings, I wound up with a snowflake image, so I added another rhinestone to it and added it to the front with a small piece of dimensional.  The Very Vanilla panel was then added to the Cherry Cobbler base with dimensionals.

Hang your stocking

The inside Very Vanilla panel was stamped with a sentiment from Hang Your Stocking in Cherry Cobbler ink.  I used the extra snowflake on the inside, too, but attached it with glue.  My little Christmas trees are die cut from the Christmas Stocking Thinlets Dies and are also attached with liquid glue.

Card stock cuts in inches and products used are at the end of the post.
