Stampin’ Up! Pick a Pumpkin Spooky Nights

I used the Pick a Pumpkin and Spooky Nights Designer Series Paper to create a Halloween card for today.  Pumpkin – Spooky, these don’t work for my card today, as I chose to make them happy ones!

Stampin' Up! Spooky-Pumpkin-Cardiology by Jari

All of my Spooky-Pumpkins were stamped in Pumpkin Pie ink onto Very Vanilla Thick card stock and cut out with the Patterned Pumpkin Thinlets Dies.  I also die cut the vine and leaf in Garden Green at the same time.  The center panel is Pumpkin Pie with narrow strips of Very Vanilla and Spooky Nights DSP adhered to it with Liquid Glue.  I stamped the Happy Halloween sentiment from the Season to Sparkle stamp set in Basic Black Archival ink.

Stampin' Up! Spooky-Nights-Cardiology by Jari

Once the pumpkins, vine and leaf were adhered to the center panel, I die cut the little black crosses, also from the Patterned Pumpkin Thinlets Dies, and adhered them with little dabs of liquid glue.  I adhered another panel of the Spooky Nights DSP to a panel of Basic Black with liquid glue, then popped it onto the Pumpkin Pie card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Finally, the art panel was adhered to the center front with more Dimensionals and I moved on to the inside.

A strip of the same DSP as used on the front was added to the bottom of a Very Vanilla panel and I fussy cut out a cat and a witch hat with my Paper Snips to adhere with more liquid glue.

A complete list of stamping supplies and card stock cuts is at the end of my post.

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

We’re back with a color challenge this week, and it screams fall, doesn’t it?

Happy Inkin' Thursday Sketch Challenge Halloween Label

I used the Labels to Love stamp set to create a Halloween card for today.  As I have stated before, Labels to Love is perfect for a Halloween Label, Thanksgiving Label, Christmas Label, New Year’s Label or Valentine’s Label.  Whew! that’s a lot of holidays covered with one stamp set!

Stampin' Up! Halloween Label-Cardiology by Jari

I also pulled out the Patterned Pumpkin Thinlets Dies and the Spooky Night Designer Series paper to add to my Halloween label to make it more festive and get in all of the colors for this week.  Here is a little closer look:

Stampin' Up! Halloween Label-Cardiology by Jari

I kept it pretty simple for the inside of the card using more of the DSP for the small pumpkin and the Patterned Pumpkins Thinlets for the Basic Black Jack-o-Lantern.

Halloween Fun for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Hop

Amy's Inkin' Krew Team Blog Hop

Ready for some Halloween fun?  Well, that is the theme of our blog hop this month!  Whether you’re just starting the hop here or have already hopped some, I hope you find some inspiration for your own cards today.  We’re so glad you joined us.  I used the Merry Cafe stamp set and the Spooky Night Designer Series paper to help create my Halloween card for today.

Stampin' Up! Merry Cafe Halloween-Cardiology by Jari

I started by adhering a panel of Very Vanilla to a panel of Basic Black, then I added a narrow strip of the Spooky Night DSP with liquid glue.  This center panel was then adhered to panels of Spooky Night DSP and Pumpkin Pie with liquid glue.

Stampin' Up! Merry Cafe Halloween-Cardiology by Jari

Next, I stamped the coffee cup image from Merry Cafe onto a patterned panel from Spooky Night DSP.  The coffee cup lid was stamped onto Pumpkin Pie, then both cup and lid were cut out with the Coffee Cups Framelits.  The spider web was stamped on the cup and then the sentiment onto a Very Vanilla panel.  Once the sentiment was die cut, I used my Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker to add dotted lines around the perimeter and adhered it to the cup.  The lid was adhered with small dots of liquid glue and the whole cup then added to the panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Coffee Cafe Halloween-Cardiology by Jari

I used my Patterned Pumpkins Thinlets Dies to cut out the open pumpkin and the pumpkin peeking out from the inside, then used my Paper Snips to cut out the other pumpkin, jack-o-lanterns, witch’s hat, cat and even the tiny little spider I added to the coffee cup! Once all of the pieces were cut out, I adhered them with liquid glue and dimensionals. Then, I added the little stars from the pumpkin I cut out that you see here on the inside.

The inside sentiment is from Glamper Greetings and the hat courtesy of the Spooky Night DSP and my Paper Snips!

Stampin’ Up! Spooky Nights Treat Boxes

Today, I am sharing some fun Spooky Nights treat boxes I created with the new Mini Pizza Boxes (available on September 1st).  And, that is only 3 days away!

tampin' Up! Spooky Nights Mini Pizza Boxes-Cardiology by Jari

I also made use of the Spooky Nights Designer Series Paper, the Pick a Pumpkin Bundle, the Labels to Love stamp set and the Everyday Label Punch, all available on September 1st.  Glamper Greetings helped with a couple of the images for my scenes, too

Yesterday, I shared a fall card made with the Pick a Pumpkin Bundle, and told you that this stamp set could double for a Halloween project.  Pair it with some Spooky Nights DSP and jack-o-lantern faces and here you go:

Stampin' Up! Spooky Nights Mini Pizza Box-Cardiology by Jari

A belly band was created for the box with the striped Spooky Nights DSP.  Three pumpkin images from Pick a Pumpkin were stamped in Pumpkin Pie ink, then the faces stamped on in Basic Black Archival ink.  Each was die cut with the coordinating Patterned Pumpkins Thinlets, then layered onto a square panel of Spooky Nights DSP.  I used another sheet of the DSP to fussy cut out the witch’s hat and that teeny tiny spider you see hanging from the branch.  The spider’s drag line was added with my Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker.  Glue was added to the center of the art panel so that it would just be attached to the belly band for easy access to the goodies inside.  My sentiment is from Glamper Greetings and was cut apart before adhering to the front with Mini Dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Spooky Nights Mini Pizza Box-Cardiology by Jari

A square of Spooky Nights DSP was adhered to the top of this Mini Pizza box.  Then I made a banner from Pumpkin Pie card stock using my Banner Triple Punch, and glued it to the DSP square.   I stamped the Halloween label first in Basic Black and punched it out with the Everyday Label Punch.  I stamped the image once again in Pumpkin Pie and cut out the center wording and adhered it over the black label.  A length of Basic Black Baker’s Twine was wrapped several times around the box to secure the goodies inside and then I added a fun bow.

Stampin' Up! Spooky Nights Mini Pizza Box-Cardiology by Jari

Another belly band was adhered loosely to the box with more of the Spooky Nights DSP.  I used another sheet of the Spooky Nights DSP with the moon and tree image, but stamped a couple of bats from the Glamper Greetings stamp set to the full moon image.  I fussy cut another witch hat and spider, as before, and added the hat with some Mini Dimensionals. Before adhering the art piece to the center of the belly band, I cut a Delicate White Doily in quarters and adhered 1/4 to either side of the DSP square with some liquid glue.  I stamped the sentiment once more from Labels to Love and cut it out with my Paper Snips and added it with some Mini Dimensionals.

Card stock cuts and supplies needed to complete this project are at the end of the post.

Stampin’ Up! Happy Scenes Mini Treat Bag and Weekly Deals

I made a quick treat bag to go along with the card I made in yesterday’s post.  Click here to see my card if you missed it.  I used the Stampin’ Up Mini Treat Bag Thinlets Die set to create my Halloween treat bag and the spider and web from the Happy Scenes stamp set.  The sentiment and Witch’s hat are from the September Paper Pumpkin kit.  I am getting a lot of use of these stamps!

I also used the Square Pillow BoxThinlets Dies for the little banner of pumpkins and for the cut out the sentiment is stamped on. I used my Banner Triple punch for the longer banner.  My bag was cut from a retired piece of DSP:( that was just screaming for me to use it!

Stampin’ Up! September Paper Pumpkin

Have you seen the September Paper Pumpkin kit from Stampin’ Up! ?  Every month, I am so excited to see what is in store for me.  This month’s kit is so cute.

Sept Paper Pumpkin

This kit contains enough supplies for 8 treat bags and tags, and the stamps are very fun, too!

I have 8 grandchildren, so this kit is perfect for me for Halloween treats for them.  Just don’t tell my husband there wasn’t one for him ok? 😈 Here is one of the bags I made:

I decided I wanted to also make a Halloween card using some of the stamps from this set, so I began to pull together all of the stamps I thought I could combine to make a Halloween scene.  I pulled out Sheltering Tree, Happy Scenes and of course, the September Paper Pumpkin offerings.  Here is what I came up with:

Halloween Sheltering Tree and Happy Scenes Card-iology by Jari

First, I stamped the tree from the Sheltering Tree set in Memento Black ink onto a panel of Whisper White.  I decided it needed some spiders to make it a little more creepy, so I masked off the web part of the stamp with scotch tape and inked up the spider and its dragline from Happy Scenes in Memento Black ink and stamped it as if they were hanging  from the 3 branches. Then, I added the rake which was stamped in Memento Black.  The leaves were inked with Delightful Dijon and Tangelo Twist and stamped across the bottom of the card.

The pumpkins were cut out with a die from the Square Pillow Box Thinlets Dies and decorated with a Black Stampin’ Write marker, and popped up with Dimensionals.  I stamped the Witch’s Hat from the Paper Pumpkin set in Memento Black right onto the Whisper White piece and added the Boo sentiment from the Happy Scenes set also in Memento Black.  Happy Haunting, also from September Paper Pumpkin, was stamped onto a piece of Whisper White in Tangelo Twist ink. I used the smallest banner from the Banners Framelits die set to cut it out and trimmed the left end a little so that I could frame it in a piece of Tangelo Twist that had also been cut out with the same banner.

For the inside, I stamped a pumpkin from the Paper Pumpkin stamps and a sentiment from the Happy Scenes set in Tangelo Twist, and the Boo, also from Happy Scenes, in Memento Black.  I added a left over strip of the DSP  to the bottom with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
