Stampin’ Up! Snowflake Sentiments Gift Box

I am sharing a Snowflake Sentiments Gift Box created with the Snowflakes Sentiments Bundle and the new Acetate Card Box found in the Holiday Catalog.  Every year, Stampin’ Up! provides the cutest pre-made boxes for us to decorate for gift giving, and this one is no exception!  If you don’t look carefully, it is easy to miss on page 13 of the Holiday Catalog.  They are designed for holding 5 standard cards and envelopes, but can also double as a gift box for anything your little heart desires.

Stampin' Up! Snowflake Sentiments Gift Box-Cardiology by Jari

A couple of weeks ago, I created a card using the Snowflakes Sentiments Bundle and this same color scheme (see it HERE) so I decided to decorate my Acetate Box similarly.  Below is a side view when filled with cards and envelopes.

Stampin' Up! Snowflake Sentiments Gift Box-Cardiology by Jari

The Swirly Snowflakes Thinlets Dies are just so beautiful, don’t you think?  I cut two of the snowflake dies in Silver Foil, and two of the outline dies in Real Red, then adhered them with dots of Liquid Glue.  Because I positioned them horizontally on the Acetate Box, I had to trim the sides down some with my Paper Snips.  A narrow belly band was adhered to the snowflake cut outs with glue dots, and then the overlap in the back adhered with a few more Glue Dots.

Stampin' Up! Snowflake Sentiments Gift Box-Cardiology by Jari

The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark ink, sprinkled with White Emboss Powder and heat embossed, then die cut with an oval from the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies. Another scalloped oval was cut from Garden Green, adhered to the sentiment and set aside.  I wrapped a strand of Basic Black Baker’s Twine around the belly band and box three times, made a looped bow and knotted it.  Then, the sentiment was popped onto the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Two small snowflakes were die cut from Silver Foil and adhered with a glue dot and a Rhinestone Basic Jewel adorns the center.  Finally, I cut two of the little tags found in the Swirly Snowflakes Thinlets Dies, one in white and one in plaid.  They were glued together and attached with a length of Silver Metallic Ribbon.

Another adorable use of these Acetate Boxes is to fill them with candy.  Here is one I know you will love that was created by Amy Koenders, my upline.

Well, what are you waiting for, order these Acetate Boxes and start making your own Snowflake Sentiments Gift Box today!  Starting October 1st, you can also get the Christmas Around the World Designer Series Paper that I used for my card and belly band for FREE, when you buy 3 of the Designer Series Papers listed in the promotion below!

Stampin’ Up! Spooky Nights Treat Boxes

Today, I am sharing some fun Spooky Nights treat boxes I created with the new Mini Pizza Boxes (available on September 1st).  And, that is only 3 days away!

tampin' Up! Spooky Nights Mini Pizza Boxes-Cardiology by Jari

I also made use of the Spooky Nights Designer Series Paper, the Pick a Pumpkin Bundle, the Labels to Love stamp set and the Everyday Label Punch, all available on September 1st.  Glamper Greetings helped with a couple of the images for my scenes, too

Yesterday, I shared a fall card made with the Pick a Pumpkin Bundle, and told you that this stamp set could double for a Halloween project.  Pair it with some Spooky Nights DSP and jack-o-lantern faces and here you go:

Stampin' Up! Spooky Nights Mini Pizza Box-Cardiology by Jari

A belly band was created for the box with the striped Spooky Nights DSP.  Three pumpkin images from Pick a Pumpkin were stamped in Pumpkin Pie ink, then the faces stamped on in Basic Black Archival ink.  Each was die cut with the coordinating Patterned Pumpkins Thinlets, then layered onto a square panel of Spooky Nights DSP.  I used another sheet of the DSP to fussy cut out the witch’s hat and that teeny tiny spider you see hanging from the branch.  The spider’s drag line was added with my Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker.  Glue was added to the center of the art panel so that it would just be attached to the belly band for easy access to the goodies inside.  My sentiment is from Glamper Greetings and was cut apart before adhering to the front with Mini Dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Spooky Nights Mini Pizza Box-Cardiology by Jari

A square of Spooky Nights DSP was adhered to the top of this Mini Pizza box.  Then I made a banner from Pumpkin Pie card stock using my Banner Triple Punch, and glued it to the DSP square.   I stamped the Halloween label first in Basic Black and punched it out with the Everyday Label Punch.  I stamped the image once again in Pumpkin Pie and cut out the center wording and adhered it over the black label.  A length of Basic Black Baker’s Twine was wrapped several times around the box to secure the goodies inside and then I added a fun bow.

Stampin' Up! Spooky Nights Mini Pizza Box-Cardiology by Jari

Another belly band was adhered loosely to the box with more of the Spooky Nights DSP.  I used another sheet of the Spooky Nights DSP with the moon and tree image, but stamped a couple of bats from the Glamper Greetings stamp set to the full moon image.  I fussy cut another witch hat and spider, as before, and added the hat with some Mini Dimensionals. Before adhering the art piece to the center of the belly band, I cut a Delicate White Doily in quarters and adhered 1/4 to either side of the DSP square with some liquid glue.  I stamped the sentiment once more from Labels to Love and cut it out with my Paper Snips and added it with some Mini Dimensionals.

Card stock cuts and supplies needed to complete this project are at the end of the post.

Stampin’ Up! Painted Harvest Note Cards and Mini Pizza Box

It’s Monday, and I hope you’re all set to safely watch the total eclipse!  I think we are having lots of rain and clouds, so I will probably tune in via the television!  For my card today, I used the Painted Harvest stamp set (available September 1st)and created five 3″ x 3″ note cards that fit beautifully into the new Mini Pizza Boxes (available on September 1st).

Stampin' Up! Painted Harvest-Cardiology by Jari

Stampin' Up! Painted Harvest-Cardiology by Jari

Do you see that cute little 3″ x 3″ Envelope?  Yes, it is also available September 1st when the 2017 Holiday Catalog goes live!!

Each card base was cut from Whisper White Thick card stock.  For the top three cards, I single matted my Whisper White art piece with a panel that was 1/8″ larger for each.  For the bottom two cards, I double matted them.  It adds a little variety plus, I accidentally cut one of my art panels too small and had already stamped it!  There is a method to my madness-at least sometimes 🙂

Painted Harvest is a two step stamp set, and for each sunflower, I stamped the largest image first in Crushed Curry ink. Then, I stamped the second image with Peekaboo Peach for two of the cards, and Tangerine Tango for the other three. All of the leaves were stamped in Lemon Lime Twist.  I used a mask to cover each sunflower when I stamped them.  All of the sentiments were stamped using the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set.

Stampin' Up! Painted Harvest-Cardiology by Jari

These Mini Pizza Boxes (available Sept. 1st) are really great because they are food safe.  I can just imagine all of the wonderful sweet treats they could be filled with for the holidays!  Don’t you just love the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper (available Sept. !st)I used on the top of the box?  Get your wish lists ready the big day is coming soon.

The Mini Pizza Boxes and 3″ x 3″ Whisper White Envelopes can be found on page 44 of the 2017 Holiday Catalog.

Card stock cuts and supplies needed to create these note cards will be at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Sealed With Love Valentine Gift Bags

I used several different stamp sets from Stampin’ Up! to create my Valentine Gift Bags for today.  These bags were actually used at my Open House for my guests to take their goodies home in, you may remember this picture from my post.

I forgot to show you the close ups and more information on how to make them in case you’d like to make some of your own Valentine Gift Bags

Valentine Gift Bags

For these two bags, I used the Sealed With Love Bundle, using Real Red and Soft Sky card stock for my heart cut outs and some Sending Love Designer Series Paper for the scalloped die cut.  I fussy cut out a heart on the bag on the right, from one of the Sending Love DSP pages.  I also added a pretty Lace Doily to the bag on the left.  Both bags are stamped with Real Red ink.

Valentine Gift Bags

For these two bags, I pulled out my Bloomin’ Heart Thinlets and my Sunshine Wishes Thinlets and some Gold Glimmer Paper.  I used the sentiment and lips stamp from Sealed With Love and stamped them in Real Red.  For the bag on the left, I die cut the open heart from Love Notes Framelits and threaded the arrow, also from the Love Note Framelite, through it.  The large Gold Glimmer heart was die cut with one of the heart dies from the Sweet & Sassy Framelits and the small hearts were from one of the Mini Treat Bag Thinlets Dies.

Valentine Treat Bag

For this bag, I die cut another Bloomin’ Heart in Real Red and added some Rhinestones to the flower centers.  Then, I made a little envelope with a Sending Love Glassine Sheet and the Love Notes Framelits Die.  The small note on the inside was stamped on Whisper White and then die cut.  The small heart on the envelope flap was stamped with a stamp from Sealed With Love and also die cut.

I hope you enjoyed my Valentine Treat Bags today!  I know I used a lot of different products, but you can see that there are many stamps and die sets that will work for this type of bag!  I purchased the handled bags at Hobby Lobby.

Let’s Celebrate! for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Let's Celebrate

Thanks for joining in on our blog hop for this month!  We have a Celebrate theme, so Let’s Celebrate!  My share is a decorated gift box and matching card using the Here’s To Cheers Stamp set and Cheerful Tags Framelits Dies from Stampin’ Up!

Let's Celebrate

Have you needed a gift box and did not have just the right one, or gone to the store to purchase a gift and the store is out of gift boxes?  Well, that happened to me recently, and that is what inspired me to make my own gift box.  That’s when Stampin’ Up! came to the rescue.  I saw this wonderful tutorial by Donna from Stampin’ Up! on creating your own gift packaging.  I will not write out the steps, you can watch it for yourself right HERE.  Wonderful instructions!

Here are photos of the box un-decorated:

Let's Celebrate

Let's Celebrate

I used the Here’s To Cheers Stamp set to stamp the sentiment in Sweet Sugarplum (this is beginning to be one of my favorite colors!) My Layering Circles Framelits Dies were used to cut out a circle around the sentiment and frame it with a Sweet Sugarplum scalloped circle.  Next, I die cut the Soft Sky tag from the Cheerful Tags Framelits Dies, snipping off the portion normally used to create a bottle tag.  I also used some Silver Foil to die cut the beautiful cut work that is on the tag and adhered it with glue. Finally,  I ran a length of the Sweet Sugarplum 3/8″ Glitter Ribbon through the tag and around the box and adhered it with some Tear & Tape Adhesive.  The bow was added to the other ribbon with glue dots.
Let's Celebrate

I know the box is pretty all by itself, but I really wanted to add a card, so I duplicated the tag and added a little more flair.

Let's Celebrate

For the backdrop on my whisper White Notecard, I stamped the starry image from Star of Light in Soft Sky ink, adding a few extra star images around.  The ribbon was attached with Tear & Tape, then I layered the decorated tag, a Silver Foil doily and the sentiment circles with dimensionals.

And here is the inside of the Let’s Celebrate card:

Let's Celebrate

I stamped the star images from Star of Light in Soft Sky and the Stylized Birthday stamp in Sweet Sugarplum.

A list of card stock cuts and products used in my card and box will be at the end of the post.

Occasions 2107 Sneak Peeks and a Cute Gift!

Today I have some more Occasions and Sale-a-Bration Sneak Peeks to share with you.  And, I also wanted to share a cute gift I received at the World Card Making Day Event last week.  For the event, we were asked to create something we might give for a little holiday gift.  It could be a bag, a card, a 3-D project, etc.  After we had all gotten settled at our tables and were welcomed, we were asked to walk around the room and greet other attendees.  Then, we were to stop and exchange what we brought with someone near us.  This is the adorable gift I received:

gift

All I know is the first name of the stamper who made it.  So, Susan, I love this set of gift tags!!

gift

Wouldn’t that be a fun and quick gift for someone this Christmas?  You could use any stamp set you have on hand to decorate your tags and put them into the Clear Tiny Treat Boxes and then decorate the outside.  Ten 1 7/8″ square tags fit beautifully inside!

Have you seen the cover of the 2017 Occasions Catalog?  Here it is:

Stampin’ Up! One Big Meaning Note Cards & Gift Box

Today’s share is a set of 5 note cards using One Big Meaning from Stampin Up! and a gift box to package them.  I used the Stampin’ Up! Whisper White note cards and envelopes.  Each pack has 20 cards and envelopes ready to decorate as you wish.  Easy peasy!

Stampin' Up! One Big Meaning note cards

The directions for my gift box can be found here.  Because I did not have the velcro dots that Amy used in her tutorial, I simply used some Whisper White 5/8″ satin ribbon to tie a bow around the box. I do love the idea of using the self-adhesive velcro dots, though!  Will have to look for some to use for my next set of cards.

Gift Card Box by Card-iology by Jari

The box is made from Blushing Bride card stock and I decorated the front with the small flower images from the Bloomin’ Love stamp set.

I tend to fall in love with so many of the Designer Series Papers and have a hard time using all of the pages before new designs and colors are introduced—-so I figured out a way to use up some of my stash.  Make sets of note cards and line the envelopes with matching papers!  These note cards make wonderful teacher gifts, hostess gifts, graduation gifts, or _________( you fill in the blank 🙂 )

Love Blossoms DSP is what I chose for this gift set.  You will notice that each card features the sentiments from One Big Meaning, but two cards have some of the smaller floral images from Bloomin’ Love stamped on them.

First, I cut out one piece of the Acorn paper from Into the Woods DSP, then placed the larger square from the Square Pillow Box Thinlits onto my second piece before running it through the Big Shot so that I would have a window in the front of the box.  I cut a square from the Window Sheets paper, applied a glue dot to each corner and adhered it to the inside of the opening.  Then, I filled a cellophane bag with almonds and secured the top, then slid it into my box. (The bottom of the box is secured with a couple of glue dots)

Square Pillowbox Card-iology by Jari  One of the acorn bottoms is made with some left over Kraft paper that I had previously scored with my Simply Scored Scoring Tool.  The top of that acorn was stamped in Early Expresso ink.  I used Versa Mark ink and Gold embossing powder for the second acorn.  Both were punched out with the Acorn Builder punch.

I secured the top of the box by wrapping a length of Early Expresso Seam Binding Ribbon around and loosely knotting it.  A strand of Gold Cording was tied in a bow around the acorn tops and I popped them onto the box with Dimensionals.

Stampin’ Up! Acorny Thank You Square Pillowbox

Happy Saturday, and it’s Halloween! All of my Halloween boxes and bags were completed and mailed out to grandchildren in Florida, so I decided to make an Acorny Thank You Square Pillowbox treat holder. This could also be used at Thanksgiving-wow, that is not very far away

Did you notice my pillow box is a little different?  Well, you were right.  Most pillow boxes are just flat, but I decided to make mine with a little handle.  Once I die cut the Kraft cardstock, I put the pieces together using Tear and Tape, then I grabbed my Oval Punch and figured out where I wanted the oval to be, and punched away.

Acorny Thank You Pillow Box Card-iology by JariI added a belly band of Early Expresso and Into the Woods DSP using Fast Fuse and Glue Dots.  Next I stamped my Acorn images onto Whisper White and punched them out with the adorable new Acorn Punch.  They are held together with a Glue Dot, then popped up with Dimensionals.  I added a leaf from the Into the Woods Elements that had been sponged a little with Old Olive ink, then attached it with a Glue Dot.  The Burlap Ribbon was pulled through the opening and gathered together with a piece of Early Expresso Seam Binding Ribbon which I then tied into a bow.

Super easy-a great project for a Saturday morning, with plenty of time to get ready for your favorite college football game. (GO GATORS!)

Acorny Thank You Treat Box for the Happy Stampers Weekly Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to another Happy Stamper’s Weekly Blog Hop.  We have a color challenge to play with today:

I used the Acorny Thank You stamp set from Stampin’ Up! for my project today.  Instead of making a card, I made a little treat box to use at Thanksgiving.  It’s always fun to give a little treat to those you are thankful for-especially when chocolate is involved!  But once I made one, I decided to try another one because it was so much fun, and I got to sample some candy.  Well, some might not be the right word….  Here they are:

The box idea is actually borrowed from Sam Donald, and you can see hers here.  I started with Kraft cardstock for the box and used the new Corrugated Kraft cardstock for the acorns on the right box, as well as a leaf from the Vintage Leaves stamp set which was cut with the coordinating Leaflets Framelits.  I used Pumpkin Pie ink on the Pumpkin Pie cardstock for the oak leaf and Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze ink on Whisper White cardstock for the acorn tops.

I wrapped a strip of DSP that corresponded with each of our challenge colors around the Hershey Nugget and attached it with glue dots.  Here is another look at the box on the left with the candy ready to be put inside :

Instructions with project cuts will be at the bottom of my post.
