Stampin’ Up! Daisy Delight Sneak Peek

I used the new Daisy Delight stamp set from the upcoming 2017-2018 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog to create a card to share with you today. This will be available for ordering on June 1st.  Don’t you just love daisies?  I’m excited to play with this fun set.

Stampin' Up! Daisy Delight Cardiology by Jari

I started with a panel of Whisper White and adhered it to a panel of Daffodil delight card stock.  Then, I cut a panel from Pop of Pink Specialty DSP at an angle and adhered it to the bottom of that same panel.  Next, I used my stamp-a-ma-jig and lined up the sentiment from Flourishing Phrases, stamping it in Basic Black Archival ink.  The leaves, from Daisy Delight, were stamped next in Wild Wasabi ink.

A length of Burlap Ribbon was cut and adhered to the front panel with Tear & Tape Adhesive.  I allowed for a little overhang so that I could also adhere it to the back side of the panel for security.

The daisy was stamped twice in Daffodil Delight onto a panel of Whisper White Thick card stock. I used the new coordinating Daisy punch to cut them out, then stamped the flower center and fussy cut it out.  The center was glued to the daisy and then I added a new Gold Faceted Gem over the center. Some Gold Thread was looped a few times to the back and then the whole flower added with Dimensionals.  My art panel was then popped onto the Basic Black card stock base with Dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Daisy Delight Cardiology by Jari I chose a sentiment from the Daisy Delight set and stamped it in Tuxedo Memento Black ink (it doesn’t stain the photopolymer stamps as much as the Basic Black ink does) The small daisies were stamped around the sentiment using Daffodil Delight ink.

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Blooms for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

We’re back with another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop for you today.  I used Birthday Blooms, from Stampin’ Up!, to create my card to share with you.

Stampin' Up! Birthday Blooms by Cardiology by Jari

We have a color challenge this week, and Mint Macaron has truly been a wonderful color the last two years!  Make sure you order anything from the 2015-2017 In-Color Collection soon because they retire June 1st.   Those items will vanish fast!

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I’m also playing along with the Coming Up Flowers Challenge #93 At Stamp Ink Paper this week.

Stamp Ink Paper Challenge 93

I started with a panel of Watercolor Paper and the Birthday Blooms stamp set.  The large flower image was stamped in Versa Mark ink, and heat embossed using White Emboss Powder.  Then, I began to color in the flowers with my Watercolor Pen and Calypso Coral ink.  Once it was dry, I came back in and water colored Mint Macaron on all of the leaf images.  Finally, I colored in the center of the bloom with more water coloring in Daffodil Delight.  The Mint Macaron dotted images are also from Birthday Blooms, and were added last.
Stampin' Up! Birthday Blooms by Cardiology by Jari

I used the sentiment from Jar of Love, and the Banners Framelits Dies for my banner cut outs. The Calypso Coral Thick Baker’s Twine is really White Baker’s Twine that I dyed using vinegar and my Calypso Coral re-inker.  It was my first time trying this technique.  Luckily, I realized in enough time that I was out of the Calypso Coral twine, and dyed some ahead of when I needed it, so it had time to dry!  I’m happy with the results, and will try this again with other colors.

Stampin' Up! Birthday Blooms by Cardiology by Jari

For the inside, I chose a sentiment from Floral Phrases and stamped it in Mint Macaron.  My small flower is from Birthday Blooms and was stamped in Calypso Coral.

A complete list of Stampin’ Up! supplies needed to complete this project, as well as card stock cuts in inches will be at the end of my post.

Now, you can continue the hop to see what Kristi has created for us today.

Stampin’ Up! Inside the Lines and Dragonfly Dreams

I used the Stampin’ Up! Inside the Lines Designer Series Paper with the Dragonfly Dreams Bundle to create my card for today.

Inside the Lines

This is my first time using the Inside the Lines DSP, which is FREE during Sale-A-Bration!  I started with one of the 4 design sheets and some of the new Watercolor Pencils.  The stems are colored in Old Olive, and the flowers in Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight.  I used my blender pen to pull some of the color around in the flowers.  I used a Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Write marker for the middle of the bee, and added some Wink of Stella to the wings.  Once everything was colored, I adhered that panel onto a panel of Calypso Coral.

Inside the Lines

Next, I stamped the sentiment from Flourishing Phrases, onto a panel of Whisper White, using Basic Black Archival ink. I used the banner die from the Gift Card Envelope and Trims Thinlets to cut it out. Then, I cut another banner in Old Olive to frame the sentiment.  Once they were adhered together, I punched out a small hole on one end so that I could run some twine through.

Inside the Lines

I wrapped a length of Calypso Coral Thick Baker’s Twine around the art panel three times, came up through the hole in my banner and made a bow.  Then, I added some dimensionals to the back of the banner.  The dragonflies were die cut with the Detailed Dragonfly Framelits and then I cut them apart and added two to the front with dimensionals.  To complete the front, I added dimensionals to the art panel and popped it onto the Old Olive base.

Inside the Lines

For the inside, I stamped my sentiment from Dragonfly Dreams in Basic Black Archival ink first.  Then, I stamped the dotted images in Calypso Coral, stamping off before stamping them around the sentiment.  I cut another set of the Dragonfly dies in Basic Black, this time leaving them intact, and added them with little dots of liquid glue.

If you enjoy coloring, you really ought to consider the Inside the Lines DSP as one of your FREE choice items during Sale-A-Bration.  Remember for every $50 you spend, you can receive one free item!

A complete list of products used and card stock cuts in inches will be at the end of the post.

Stampin’ Up! Monochromatic Flourish Sympathy

Today’s share is another sympathy card-I know, not fun, but necessary!  This one is monochromatic, using the Flourishing Phrases stamp set and Flourish Thinlets Dies, and Night of Navy.

Monochromatic sympathy

The monochromatic theme of my card is from this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge #65.  Why not check it out and play along, too?

Monochromatic Flourish

I started with a Whisper White Thick card base and added a slightly smaller panel of Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper to it with liquid glue.  Next, I worked on the art panel.

Monochromatic Sympathy

To keep the monochromatic theme going, I die cut two shapes from the Flourish Thinlets Dies in Night of Navy card stock.  Because I wanted to break up the Whisper White panel some, I inked up the Splatter stamp from Gorgeous Grunge in Night of Navy, stamped it off once onto a scrap of paper, then stamped onto my card stock.  Glue was added to the border die cut panel with my Fine Tip Glue Pen and attached to the bottom of the panel.  I adhered the art panel onto a panel of Night of Navy with liquid glue.

Using some more of the Whisper White, I stamped With Sympathy, from Flourishing Phrases, in Night of Navy, then die cut with a Layering Oval Die.  It is framed with a little larger scallop Layering Oval Die.

Monochromatic Sympathy

Next, I placed the sentiment oval onto the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensional.  I adhered that Flourish flower with glue from the Fine Tip Glue Pen, not gluing the entire piece flat to the front. Then, I tied a double bow with Night of Navy Baker’s Twine and attached it with a glue dot.  Three Pearls Basic Jewels were added before popping the focal panel onto the front of the card with dimensionals.  The inside was left free of a sentiment, just a little DSP was added to the bottom of the Whisper White Panel.  (you can see it peeking out in the picture above)

Monochromatic sympathy

Since very little stamping was done on the card, I decorated the envelope with a stamp from Flourishing Phrases to complete the monochromatic challenge!

Stampin’ Up! Products used for my project will be at the end of my post

Stampin’ Up! Paisleys & Posies Sympathy

Today I am sharing a Sympathy Card using the Paisleys & Posies stamp set, the Paisley Framelits Dies and the Petals and Posies Specialty Designer Series Paper.  I also added some of the matching 3/8″ Ribbon from the Ribbon trio pack in this suite of products.

Paisleys & Posies Sympathy

My  sketch was inspired by the one at Retro Sketches this week, RS#230

Retro Sketches RS230

And the circle images are inspired by The Paper Players PP311

Paper Players 311

Because this Designer Series Paper is so beautiful all by itself, I decided to make my sentiment panel a little smaller than suggested in the sketch.  I stamped a panel of Very Vanilla with the sentiment from Suite Seasons in Rich Razzleberry ink and framed it with a little larger panel of Rich Razzleberry card stock using liquid glue.

Paisleys & Posies Sympathy

Next, I stamped some of the images from Paisleys & Posies onto Very Vanilla card stock and cut them out with the Paisley Framelits Dies. Then, I used my Stampin’ Write Markers to fill in some of the uncolored spaces in the images. They were then popped onto the sentiment panel with dimensionals.  I layered the Petals & Paisleys DSP onto a tiny bit larger panel of Rich Razzelberry and adhered the Delightful Dijon ribbon to it first with some Tear & Tape Adhesive.  Next came the Rich Razzleberry Ribbon, leaving a little space between them, so that I could overlap the Mint Macaron ribbon on top.

I popped on the sentiment panel over the ribbons with dimensionals, then added all of that new panel to the front of my Night of Navy card base with dimensionals.

Paisleys Posies Sympathy

The inside sentiment is from Flourishing Phrases, and is stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink.  Then, I added another strip of that beautiful DSP to the bottom.

Paisleys & Posies Sympathy

To  complete my Sympathy Card, I added a stamped image from Paisleys and Posies to the front of the envelope.  Dimensions in inches and Stampin’ Up! Products used in creating my card will be at the end of the post.

Thoughtful Branches Sympathy Card

Hi Stampers, today my share is from Thoughtful Branches by Stampin’ Up!  Time is really running short for you to add this wonderful bundle to your stash.  It is only available until August 31st.  More about that later…

I needed a sympathy card and wanted to showcase the Thoughtful Branches Bundle a couple more times to show you how versatile it is.

Thoughtful Branches

I started with a panel of Crumb Cake, and dry embossed it with an old favorite, the Woodland Textured Impressions  Embossing Folder then glued it to my Soft Suede card base.  Next, I stamped two sets of the grouping of 3 trees from Thoughtful Branches in Soft Suede, onto a panel of Very Vanilla.  The leaf images were stamped in Cajun Craze, some full strength, and some stamped off once onto a scrap of paper before stamping onto the art panel.

Thoughtful Branches

I chose a sentiment from Flourishing Phrases and stamped it onto the front in Cajun Craze with the help of my stamp-a-ma-jig for proper placement.  The three leaves were stamped in Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze and Soft Suede onto Very Vanilla and cut with the corresponding die from the Beautiful Branches Thinlets Dies, which may be purchased as a bundle to save 10%.  My art panel was then glued to a panel of Cajun Craze.  I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the panel 3 times before tying it to the leaves and then making a bow.  Dimensionals were added to the bactk before popping it onto the front of the card.

Thoughtful Branches

The inside sentiment is also from Flourishing Phrases and is stamped in Cajun Craze on a panel of Very Vanilla, then layered onto a panel of Crumb Cake and finally attached to the base with glue.

This is clean and simple and took very little time to put together.  Don’t you agree, you need this Thoughtful Branches Bundle!!  Get it soon…or it will be gone forever!

Stampin’ Up! Flourish for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

HappyStampersBlogPostBanner

I am using the Flourish Thinlets Dies and the Flourishing Phrases stamp set for our color challenge at the Happy Stampers Blog Hop this week.  Doesn’t every card need a little “Flourish” now and then?

We are using these colors:

Flourish for Happy Stampers
Flourish

At first glance, I thought I would not really like these colors together, but was pleasantly surprised once I began putting them together.  The Flourish Thinlets dies are all fun to work with, especially the flourish die I used for the front of the card.  I used Old Olive for it, and contemplated adding some Delightful Dijon for the flowers, but really liked it better as one color.

Flourish

I added a Delicate White Doily to the front of the Serene Scenery DSP, then adhered that panel to a panel of Pool Party with glue.  Next, I cut a length of Delightful Dijon 5/8″ Mini Striped Ribbon and attached it to the front (and around the back) with 2 strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.  I added the Old Olive flourish cut out with my fine tip glue pen, but did not glue it down completely so that it was not too flat.

Flourish

The sentiment is from Flourishing Phrases, the companion stamp set to the Flourish Thinlets (bundle it and save 10%).  I stamped it in Delightful Dijon and then die cut it with an oval die from the Layering Ovals Collection.  I used a little larger scalloped oval die from the same set to frame it in Old Olive.

Flourish

For the inside, I stamped the flourish in Old Olive and the sentiment in Delightul Dijon.  Both images are in the Flourishing Phrases set.  The Whisper White art panel is adhered to a panel of Pool Party, then added to the Old Olive card base with liquid glue.

Card stock cuts in inches and a complete list of products will be at the end of my post.

Flourishing Phrases for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

HappyStampersBlogPostBanner

Flourishing Phrases is my pick for today’s Happy Stampers Blog Hop color challenge.  Wow, there are 18 Flourishing Phrases stamps and 10 Flourish Thinlets Dies in this new bundle package!

Here are our colors:

Happy Stampers Color Challenge

And, here is what I created:

Flourishing Phrases

I started by stamping the floral images from Flourishing Phrases in Cucumber Crush onto a panel of Whisper White then, colored in the flowers with my Flirty Flamingo marker.  I inked up the sentiment in Basic Black and used my Stamp-a-ma-jig for the placement in the bottom corner.

Next, I stamped the large flower image from Flourishing Phrases in Flirty Flamingo onto a panel of Whisper White and fussy cut it. Then, I moved on to the Flourish Thinlets and die cut the larger flower in Flirty Flamingo, glued it to the fussy cut flower and added a Daffodil Delight Enamel.  Next, I die cut the leaves in Cucumber crush and glued them to the back of the flower.

I pulled out some Cucumber Crush 5/8 ” Mini Striped Ribbon and some Flirty Flamingo 3/8″ Ruched Ribbon and layered them on the card using Tear and Tape Adhesive.  The flower and leaves were added using dimensionals.  The whole art panel was then popped onto a panel of Cucumber Crush with dimensionals. My Cucumber Crush panel was attached to the Flirty Flamingo base with liquid glue.  To add a little more Daffodil Delight for our challenge, I created a butterfly using one of the small butterfly images from Papillon Potpourri.

I kept the inside simple and added a strip of Flirty Flamingo that was die cut from one more of the Flourish Thinlets.

Card stock cuts in inches will be at the end of the post.
