Jari Francis, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

Stampin’ Up! Labels to Love Sneak Peek

Today I am sharing a sneak peek of the Labels to Love stamp set from the upcoming 2017 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog (available to order on September 1st).

Stampin' Up! Labels to Love -Cardiology by Jari

My sketch was inspired by the card sketch at Paper Craft Crew #256

PCC#256

I also used the Colorful Seasons Bundle (save 10%) for this CAS (clean and simple) card.  First, I stamped the Give Thanks sentiment from Labels to Love (available Sept. 1st) in VersaMark ink onto a panel of Very Vanilla card stock.  Then, I sprinkled on Copper Emboss Powder, heated it with my heat tool until smooth and shiny and die cut it with a circle die from the Layering Circles Framelits Dies.  It was framed with a little larger Copper Foil scalloped circle.

Stampin' Up! Labels to Love-Cardiology by Jari

Using the smallest leaf image from the Colorful Seasons stamp set, I stamped two leaves onto a panel of Very Vanilla card stock.  The top leaf was stamped in Crushed Curry and the lower leaf in Cajun Craze.  This panel was adhered to a panel of Copper Foil.  Next, I punched a banner of Painted Autumn DSP (Available Sept 1st) with my Banner Triple Punch and popped it onto the stamped panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I cut a length of Copper Trim, pulled it apart a little and stuck it under the banner adhering it with a glue dot.

Stampin' Up! Labels to Love-Cardiology by Jari

I die cut the open leaf from the Seasonal Layers Framelits Dies in Copper Foil and adhered it to my sentiment circle with a glue dot.   Then I wound several loops of Copper Metallic Thread around my fingers and attached it to the back of the circle with more glue dots.   Then I adhered the circle to the banner with a little liquid glue and a couple of Stampin’ Dimensionals.   Regals Enamel Shapes, Rhinestone Basic Jewels and a Gold Faceted Gem were added and finally, the art panel was adhered to the Cajun Craze card base with more dimensionals.

The inside sentiment is from Colorful Seasons and embossed with more Copper Emboss Powder.  The small leaves are stamped in Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry.

A complete list of stamping supplies and card stock cuts are at the end of the post.

Stampin’ Up! Count My Blessings Sneak Peek

I’m sharing another sneak peek of the Stampin’ Up! Count My Blessings stamp set available September 1st.  I’m also sharing a peek at the beautiful Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper, from the 2017 Holiday Catalog.  You are going to love this paper for your fall cards, and you’ll see its not just for fall, too!   Make sure you sign up for my Holiday Catalog Paper Share to receive this beautiful paper as well as a sampling of all of the new papers.  See the details below.

Stampin' Up! Count My Blessings-Cardiology by Jari

I started by adhering a panel of the Autumn Harvest Designer Series Paper (available September 1st) to a panel of Lemon Lime Twist.  Yes, I am using this for a fall card!  It is truly versatile, isn’t it?  Next, I stamped the flower image from the Count My Blessings stamp set in Basic Black Archival ink onto a panel of water color paper.  I also stamped the smaller flower/leaf image once on the left side of the middle image and once on the right side in Basic Black ink.  Then, using my Aqua Painter and Lemon Lime Twist, Tangerine Tango and Cajun Craze inks, colored in the images.

Stampin' Up! Count My Blessings-Cardiology by Jari

Once the art panel was completely dry, I adhered it to a panel of Tangerine Tango card stock with liquid glue and then to the DSP panel with more glue.  Then, I adhered the art panel to the Tangerine Tango card stock base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Count My Blessings-Cardiology by Jari

I stamped the sentiment from Count My Blessings in Early Expresso ink onto another panel of watercolor paper and punched one end with my Banner Triple Punch.  For the opposite end of the banner, I wound a length of Linen Thread around a couple of times and tied a bow.  I cut a Delicate White Doily to peek out from under the banner and adhered it to the banner with glue, then popped the banner onto the front with dimensionals.  One Gold Metallic Enamel Shape Heart was added to the front and my card was complete!

The inside is finished with a strip of the same Autumn Harvest DSP adhered to a panel of Very Vanilla card stock.  Make sure you add the Count My Blessings stamp set to your Wish List, you will love it!

A complete list of stamping supplies and card stock cuts are at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! At Home With You for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Hop

Amy's Inkin' Krew Team Blog Hop

Welcome to our Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Fall Frenzy Team Blog Hop for August.  I used the At Home With You Bundle from Stampin’ Up! to create the card I am sharing with you today.

Stampin' Up! At Home With You Bundle-Cardiology by Jari

I have to admit, I don’t think I have ever made a card without a sentiment on the front, so this one is a first for me!  I saw a card on Pinterest that got my attention (see it here) with creating double doors with the At Home With You Bundle, so I decided to try one myself.  With all of the extras on the front, I decided a sentiment would be just too much.  So, what do you think?

I started by dry embossing a Pear Pizzaz panel with the Brick Wall Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I used a sponge dauber and some Soft Suede ink to create some interest on the brick wall.  Then, I matted it with a panel of Soft Suede .  Two doors were stamped in Basic Black Archival ink onto some Wood Textures Designer Series Paper and cut out with the matching At Home Framelits Dies.  Each door window was also die cut at the same time.  The doors were adhered together with some liquid glue and a panel of So Saffron card stock was added to the back to peek through. Then I adhered the doors to the embossed panel with liquid glue.

Stampin' Up! At Home With You Bundle-Cardiology by Jari

I stamped the sunflower and pumpkin stamp images onto water color paper with Basic Black Archival ink and used my Aqua Painters to color them in with Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive inks.  Then,  I stamped the lanterns on more watercolor paper and colored them in with Soft Suede, Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie inks.  When the flowers and lanterns were dry, I die cut them with the corresponding dies from the bundle, then layered everything onto the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! At Home With You-Cardiology by Jari

The inside sentiment is from the Paisleys and Posies stamp set and was stamped on Whisper White with more Soft Suede ink.  That panel was adhered to a panel of Pear Pizzaz and added to the Soft Suede base with liquid glue.

Card stock cuts and stamping supplies needed to create the card will be at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Count My Blessings Sneak Peek!

Today I am sharing the new Count My Blessings stamp set from the upcoming 2017 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog.  Count My Blessings is available for purchase on September 1st.  It is part of the Painted Autumn Suite.

Stampin' Up! Count My Blessings-Cardiology by Jari

I noticed that the acorn leaf image from Count My Blessings was similar to a leaf image from the  Lovely As A Tree stamp set.  I always loved that leaf image, so I paired it up with my card today!

The leaf image from Lovely As A Tree was stamped randomly in Crumb Cake ink onto a panel of Crumb Cake card stock. Then, I matted that panel to Early Expresso card stock and adhered them to the Crumb Cake card stock base with liquid glue.

Stampin' Up! Count My Blessings-Cardiology by Jari

Next I matted a strip of the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper (available Sept. 1st) to a panel of Early Expresso and adhered them to the card front with some liquid glue.  I stamped the small leaves image from Count My Blessings in Garden Green on a banner of Garden Green card stock and popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Count My Blessings-Cardiology by Jari

The acorn/leaf image from Count My Blessings was stamped in Basic Black Archival ink onto a panel of watercolor paper.  I used my Aqua Painter and the lids of my Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Garden Green ink pads to color it in., then I used my Paper Snips to cut it out.  While it was drying, I stamped the large sentiment in Early Expresso onto Very Vanilla card stock and cut it out with a Stitched Shapes oval die.  I tied a double bow with Linen Thread and adhered the acorn art piece to the banner with liquid glue.  My oval sentiment was added with dimensionals and three Garden Green enamel shapes were added for additional color.

sStampin' Up! Count My Blessings-Cardiology by Jari

For the inside Crumb Cake panel, I used more of the leaf and leaf and acorn images to stamp around the outer edges in Crumb Cake ink, stamping off on scrap paper first.  In my mind, I had planned on stamping the sentiment in Early Expresso, but forgot-UGH-until I was glueing it down onto the Early Expresso frame.  The Crumb Cake really doesn’t show as well as I would have liked, but I decided not to re-do it!  Enjoy!

A complete list of stamping supplies and card stock cuts are at the end of the post.

Stampin’ Up! Painted Harvest Sneak Peek!

Today, I’m sharing a sneak peek of the new Painted Harvest stamp set from the 2017 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog, available on September 1st.  I know you are going to love it as much as I do!

Stampin' Up! Painted Harvest-Cardiology by Jari

The Painted Harvest stamp set(available September 1st)  is photopolymer and the images are created for two step stamping.  I started by inking up the sunflower images in Crushed Curry and Peekaboo Peach.  The larger, more undefined flower was stamped first in Crushed Curry, then the smaller stamp in Peekaboo Peach, with the center being stamped in Early Espresso.  I fussy cut the first sunflower with my Paper Snips, and since I was happy with the colors, I stamped several sunflowers on a panel of Whisper White.  Then, I went back and stamped the dotted images in Early Expresso using second generation stamping.  (Where you stamp off onto scrap paper first, then stamp onto your art panel)

Stampin' Up! Painted Harvest-Cardiology by Jari

The art panel was then adhered to a panel of Copper Foil with Liquid Glue.

I used my banner triple punch to notch one end of my Early Expresso banner, then inked it up with my sentiment in VersaMark ink.  I sprinkled on Copper Emboss powder, shook off the excess and heat embossed it until shiny.  For the leaves, I inked the  solid image in Garden Green, stamped them off once, then stamped them onto a panel of Whisper White.  The second leaf image was inked in Lemon Lime Twist and stamped full strength over the first stamping.  They were then fussy cut with my Paper Snips.  Three accent sprigs were die cut in Copper Foil from the Bouquet Bunch Framelits Dies and set aside.

Stampin' Up! Painted Harves-Cardiology by Jari

The banner was adhered to the art panel with liquid glue, then I dry fit the sunflower, leaves and sprigs.  When I was happy with their placement, I wound a length of Linen Thread around the back of the sunflower and secured it with Glue Dots.  Then, I added the sunflower, leaves and sprigs with Stampin’ Dimensionals, Glue Dots and Liquid Glue.  Finally, the art panel was complete, and I adhered it to the Early Expresso/Peekaboo Peach base with dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Painted Harvest-Cardiology by Jari

I chose a different sentiment from Painted Harvest (available September 1st) to stamp on the inside of my card.  It was also heat embossed with Copper Emboss Powder.  Another sunflower image with leaves was stamped in the corner using the same two step method and colors as instructed for the card front.

A complete list of stamping supplies and card stock cuts will be at the end of this post.

My card sketch was inspired by the sketch that Christy created for this months sketch challenge at Craft Project Central.

I hope you’ll try this one out and post it on Craft Project Central, too!

Fall for Petals & Paisleys

Amy's Inkin' Krew Blog Hop

Thanks for stopping by for our Fall/Halloween Blog Hop!  I decided to create a Fall card using the Paisleys and Posies stamp set and the Paisley Framelits Dies Bundle for my share today. We are finally getting some beautiful fall weather and I know the leaves will be changing soon.  This Petals & Paisleys Designer Series Paper reminds me of those Fall leaves!

Fall

This card came together very quickly, too!  I started with  a Delightful Dijon card base, and layered a panel of Mint Macaron card stock on top with liquid glue.  Next, I cut a panel of the beautiful Petals & Paisleys Designer Series Paper and layered it onto a little larger panel of Very Vanilla.  Then it was time for some stamping and die cutting!

Fall

I inked up the sentiment from Paisleys & Posies in Versa Mark onto a panel of Very Vanilla, and sprinkled it with Gold Embossing Powder, then heat embossed it. It is die cut with a Layering Oval Die, then framed with a little larger Mint Macaron scalloped Oval Die.  I pulled out some Gold Foil card stock and the “leaf” shaped die from the Paisley Framelits Dies and die cut 2.  Burlap Ribbon was adhered to the DSP layers with Tear & Tape adhesive, then I popped that layer onto the card base.  Some Delightful Dijon and Mint Macaron 3/8″ Ribbon and Gold Sequin Trim are tied to the leaves with Gold Baker’s Twine and attached to the sentiment and then popped onto the front with dimensionals.

Fall

The inside sentiment is also from Paisleys & Posies and again, stamped in Versa Mark ink and Gold Embossing Powder.  A strip of Gold Foil lines the strip of Petals & Paisleys Specialty DSP  at the bottom of the Very Vanilla inside panel.

Supplies will be listed at the bottom of my post.

Vintage Leaves Cardiology by Jari

I  borrowed the acorn from the September 2015 Paper Pumpkin stamp set to add to the Vintage Leaves for my share today.

Vintage Leaves Cardiology by Jari

Even the inside got a sprinkling of those cute acorns!  Finally, the completed card with the envelope:

Vintage Leaves, Card-iology by Jari

Steps to create my card:

  • Stamp leaf images from Vintage Leaves onto Whisper White panel in Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry and Soft Suede
  • Stamp 2 acorns onto panel with leaves in Soft Suede; stamp another onto a scrap of Whisper White and fussy cut with Paper Snips
  • Stamp sentiment from September Paper Pumpkin with Rich Razzleberry onto Whisper White, use Banner Framelit to die cut, die cut 1 more banner from Old Olive and adhere banners together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Add the cut out acorn with glue.
  • Divide stamped image in thirds, adhere to a piece of Rich Razzelberry that has been embossed with the Woodgrain TIEF with Multipurpose Liquid Glue
  •  Secure this new layer to a piece of Whisper White cardstock with glue or snail,  and pop it onto the Old Olive base with Dimensionals
  • Adhere the sentiment banner to the top of the stamped image with Dimensionals
  • Add a Whisper White panel to the inside of the card and stamp 3 acorns in Soft Suede on the right bottom corner
  • Choose a leaf you like for the outside of the Whisper White envelope and stamp with the color of your choice. I chose Old Olive for my leaf and Soft Suede for the acorn

Stampin’ Up! Vintage Leaves for the First Day of Autumn

Well, it is official, fall is finally here!  And so, to usher in the season, I have created a card from the Stampin’ Up! Vintage Leaves set.

Vintage Leaves Card-iology by Jari

I started by stamping several of the leaves from the Vintage Leaves set in Delightful Dijon onto a panel of Very Vanilla card stock.  Notice that some of the leaves in the background were stamped off first.  I wanted some of the leaves to be darker than others.  Next, I stamped the same leaf patterns onto Blackberry Bliss and Delightful Dijon in the same colors of ink and used the Leaflets Framelits Dies to cut them out.

For the sentiment, I chose a stamp from the For All Things set, but decided to use only a part of it.  I used some tape to cover the part I did not want, then inked it up, took off the piece of tape, then stamped onto a small piece of Very Vanilla.  I used the Banner Punch to cut it out-then punched a piece of Blackberry Bliss to fit behind it.  I positioned the punched leaves where I wanted them and attached them with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The stamped leaf image was attached to a piece of Delightful Dijon card stock with glue, then that layer attached to a little larger piece of Blackberry Bliss with more glue.  I cut a length of Hello Honey 5/8″ striped cotton ribbon and wrapped it around these 3 layers and tied a knot.  This layer was then popped up onto the Delightful Dijon card base with Dimensionals.  I popped up the small sentiment that had been layered onto the piece of Blackberry Bliss with Dimensionals and glued the Celebrate Expressions Natural Element with the new Fine Tip Glue Pen.

The inside was stamped with more of the leaf patterns from the front of the card in Delightful Dijon onto another piece of Very Vanilla card stock.

Stampin’ Up! Into the Woods DSP Thank You Notes

Today’s cards were inspired by the new Into the Woods Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up!  I thought it  would be fun to make a set of thank you cards that would be quick and easy,  like 15 minutes or less to complete!

I love all of this Designer Series Paper for making fall cards.  It was difficult to pick the side of the paper I would rather feature as they are all wonderful!  The card base for each is a Whisper White Notecard.  As you can see, I used several different stamp sets for the sentiments.

For this card, I used the Vintage Leaves set and stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink onto the same paper and cut it with the matching leaf from the Leaflets Framelets. The DSP is layered onto a piece of Rich Razzelberry cardstock, then attached to the card base with snail. The Thanks sentiment, from Another Thank You, is embossed with Gold Embossing Powder and layered onto a strip of Gold Foil paper, then finished off with a Gold Metal button and Gold Baker’s Twine.

I used the Thankful Forest Friends stamp set for this sentiment, but colored only the parts I wanted stamped with Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive Stampin’ Write Markers.  The Into the Woods DSP is layered onto a piece of Rich Razzelberry with snail.  I wrapped a strand of Old Olive Baker’s Twine around this layer 3 times and tied a bow, then attached the sentiment layer with Dimensionals.  The Into the Woods Elements leaf was sponged with some Old Olive ink before attaching with a glue dot.

For this card, I used the Hello You Thinlets for the Thanks sentiment.  I ran a piece of Tangelo Twist through the Big Shot 3 different times to get 3 layers of the word.  The layers are glued together with Stampin’ Up’s new Fine-Tip Glue Pen.  Very easy process!  The 3 layers stand out a little better than just one layer on this flat card.  The Into the Woods DSP is attached to a piece of Tangelo Twist, then attached to a slightly larger piece of Old Olive before being snailed to the card base.

And the final card is rather monochromatic, but I love the acorn paper.  The sentiment, from For All Things, is embossed in Gold embossing powder onto Whisper White, then cut out with an Ovals Collection Framelit. I framed that layer with another oval in Soft Suede.  The acorn paper was layered onto a piece of Early Expresso card stock, then a length of Gold Cording Trim was wrapped around 3 times and finished with a bow.  This layer was then attached to the card base with Multipurpose glue.  The sentiment layer was popped up with Dimensionals and finished with an acorn from the Into the Woods elements.

The products used for my projects will be listed at the end of this post.

Stampin’ Up! Thankful Forest Friends

My fall themed card today is from Stampin’ Up! Thankful Forest Friends, Crazy About You and For All Things stamp sets.

I saw a similar card on Pinterest and loved the different cut out of the card front.  I cut the Tangelo Twist card base 4 1/4″ X 11″ and folded at 5 1/2″.  Then, I cut down 2″ on the fold and then all the way across to create the short panel.

I cut a piece of Into the Woods DSP and adhered it to a piece of Soft Suede with Multipurpose Liquid Glue, then attached that new piece to the inside with glue.  Next, I cut a another piece of Into the Woods DSP, adhered it to a strip of Soft Suede and glued that onto the small front section of the card.  The bear, fox and rabbit were stamped onto whisper white in Early Espresso, Tangelo Twist, and Soft Suede and fussy cut.  I inked up the sentiment with Tangelo Twist and Mossy Meadow markers onto Whisper White cardstock and cut it out with one of the Chalk Talk Framelets.  It is attached to a strip of Soft Suede and Tangelo Twist also cut out with the Framelet.  The animals and sentiment are popped up with Dimensionals.

There is not a lot of room for writing on the inside of a card like this, so I colored a small sentiment from the Crazy About You stamp set with a Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Write Marker and colored some acorns from the For All Things stamp set with an Early Expresso Stampin’ Write Marker.
