Stampin’ Up! Easter Basket for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Hi Everyone!  I created an Easter basket from the Stampin’ Up! Basket Bunch Bundle for our Hop today.

Stampin' Up! Basket Bunch Easter Basket by Cardiology by Jari

We had a sketch to work with this week.

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop Sketch Challenge

I started by layering  panels of Succulent Garden and Mint Macaron In-Color DSP (both retiring!) onto a panel of Sweet Sugarplum card stock.  Next, I die cut some grass from the Basket Builder Framelits Dies in Mint Macaron and adhered it to the front with liquid glue.  I die cut a Stitched Shapes square from more of the Succulent Garden DSP and gave it a scalloped border with some more Sweet Sugarplum card stock.

My Easter basket was stamped in Soft Suede onto Crumb Cake card stock and die cut out.  Next came the eggs, cut out with the Basket Builder Framelits from Mint Macaron (retiring!), So Saffron and Sweet Sugarplum card stock.  Each one has 2 layers, one with cut outs and one solid.  I brushed some Wink of Stella over them to give them a little pizzaz! Next, came the bunny, stamped in Memento Tuxedo black and colored in with some Pink Pirouette and Sweet Sugarplum markers.  The banner was stamped in Versa Mark, sprinkled with White Emboss Powder and heat embossed.

Stampin' Up! Basket Bunch Easter Basket by Cardiology by Jari  I didn’t use all of the eggs for the Easter Basket, but save a few for the inside.  My sentiment  is from the March Paper Pumpkin kit and stamped in Sweet Sugarplum ink.  More of the striped DSP was added to the inside bottom with snail.

A list of stamping supplies needed to create this card as well as card stock cuts in inches are at the end of my post.

I hope you’ll hop around to Kristi to see what she and the others have created for today.

Stampin’ Up! Basket Bunch Easter Treat Holders

I used the Basket Bunch Bundle and Tag Topper Punch from Stampin’ Up!, to create some Easter Treat holders to share with you today.

Stampin' Up! Basket Bunch Easter Treat Holders Cardiology by Jari

I started with 2″ x 8 1/2″ strips of Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Tempting Turquoise card stock and scored them at 4″ and 4 1/2″.  Then, I  punched both ends of each strip with my Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.  Next, I cut an oval with my Layering Ovals Framelits Dies about 3/4″ above the  4″ scored line to make a little window.

Stampin' Up! Basket Bunch Easter Treat Holder by Cardiology by Jari

Next, I used a bone folder to crease the scored lines so that I had a front and a back. Grass was die cut using the Basket Builder Framelits Dies and adhered to the inside so that it would show through the oval window.  To frame the outside oval, I die cut a scalloped oval with the same sized oval used for the window, nested inside. Thus creating an open frame. I stamped the bunnies and small eggs and die cut them with the Basket Builder Framelits Dies.  The sentiment was stamped on a strip of Whisper White and die cut with the banner frame found in the Gift Card Envelope & Trims Thinlets Dies.  Stampin' Up! Basket Bunch Easter Treat Holder Cardiology by Jari

Fill Cellophane Bags with candy of your choice, secure the top and slip inside your Easter Treat Holder, add ribbon to the tops, tie on your sentiment banners and you’re finished.  Enjoy!

A complete list of Stampin’ Up! supplies will be listed at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Basket Bunch for Easter

Happy Saturday to you!  I am using the Basket Bunch Bundle (again) for an Easter card to share with you today.  I guess you can tell that I really like this bundle.  I hope you do, too.

Stampin' Up! Basket Bunch for Easter by Cardiology by Jari

I started with a Soft Sky base and then created a layer of Whisper White and Soft Sky from the Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack as a back drop to my art panel.  Next, I stamped the grass from Basket Bunch across the bottom edge of a panel of Whisper white.  Then, I sponged some Soft Sky ink very lightly across the panel, making it a little darker where I was going to place my bunny.

Stampin' Up! Basket Bunch for Easter by Cardiology by Jari

The eggs, chicks and bunny were then stamped with Memento Black ink and colored in using my Stampin’ Write Markers.  They were all die cut then with the Basket Builder Framelits Dies.  Once I decided where everything should go, I stamped the feet for the chicks and popped them, the bunny and the eggs onto the front with Dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Basket Bunch for Easter by Cardiology by Jari

The cloud images are from the Weather Together Bundle and stamped in Soft Sky, then die cut out and popped on to the front with Dimensionals.  I stamped the Basket Bunch sentiment in Memento Black ink and used a banner die to cut it.  Two more banners were die cut in So Saffron and Soft Sky to use to outline the sentiment.  The art panel was adhered to a panel of So Saffron, then to the card base with more Dimensionals.

The inside has an Easter sentiment from the Basket Bunch stamp set and one more of the small eggs that I used on the front.  Enjoy!

A complete list of supplies as well as card stock cuts will be listed at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Basket Bunch for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

I used the Stampin’ Up! Basket Bunch Bundle to create a Happy Spring card to share with you today!

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Stampin' Up! Basket Bunch Happy Spring by Cardiology by Jari

This week, we have a color challenge with Crushed Curry, Emerald Envy and Crumb Cake.

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop Color Challenge

I started with a panel of Festive Birthday DSP that I adhered to a panel of Whisper White.  Then, I cut out two Stitched Shapes Squares, one in Crushed Curry and one in the same Festive Birthday DSP.  I dry fit them onto a panel of Whisper White so that I would know how much room I had for the rest of the pieces I had planned to add.

Next, I stamped the grass image from Basket Bunch in Emerald Envy onto a panel of Whisper White.  Happy Spring was then stamped in the upper right hand corner, also in Emerald Envy.  I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to line the words up because they are single stamps from the Crazy About You stamp set.

Stampin' Up! Basket Bunch Happy Spring Card by Cardiology by Jari

My flowers, leaves, and bunnies were stamped next.  Then, I pulled out the Basket Builder Framelits Dies and cut them, the tall grass, and a basket out.  My Whisper White art panel was then adhered to a panel of Emerald Envy. I added the squares with liquid glue and adhered the tall grass to them with more glue.  Two of the flowers were colored a little with a blender pen and some Crushed Curry ink. The basket and white bunny were attached with Dimensionals, while the Crumb Cake bunnies were adhered with liquid glue.

Stampin' Up! Basket Bunch Happy Spring by Cardiology by Jari

One of the Lace Doilies was adhered to the Festive Birthday DSP panel with liquid glue, then the art panel popped on with Dimensionals.  A small bow was attached to the basket handle with a glue dot, and some Enamel Shapes added to the flower centers.  The inside has a plain Whisper White panel with a little strip of the matching DSP attached to the bottom.  And there you have it, a Happy Spring card. I hope you are experiencing a little spring like weather wherever you are!

A complete list of Stampin’ Up! Supplies used in creating my card as well as card stock cuts will be at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Suite Sayings for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Happy Stampers March 17th Blog Hop

My share for today is from the Suite Sayings stamp set and is dressed up with a flower from the Botanical Builders Framelits Dies.

Suite Sayings from Stampin' Up! Easter Card

And here is our sketch.  Why don’t you see what you can create with it, too?

12274185_1305622946130944_4007434623182849654_n

The Suite Sayings stamp set has 10 wonderful sentiments in lots of different fonts, which will work for so many different occasions.  It is really a keeper!  Of course, I say that about almost all of my stamp sets!  (Just sayin’)  and you know how much I love the framelits if you have been following my blog since the Occasions catalog has come out!

Stampin' Up! Suite Sayings by Card-iology by Jari

I stamped the sentiment in Lost Lagoon ink onto a panel of Whisper White card stock and cut it out with an oval die from the Ovals collection.  I felt that it needed a frame, and since the next sized frame was too large, I used an idea from fellow stamper, Sue Prather.  She says to trace around the outside of the frame, then cut out carefully with scissors for a frame closer to the size of the one you die cut.  And, it worked out just like I wanted it to in Blackberry Bliss. The two ovals were then attached to one another with MP liquid glue.  Love this font from Suite Sayings!
Suite Sayings by Card-iology by Jari

My card base is Calypso Coral with some Wildflower Fields DSP from the Sale-a-Bration catalog (this is FREE  paper until March 31st!) and a strip of Lost Lagoon attached on the right.  I die cut one of the flower images in the Botanical Builder die set in Lost Lagoon and used some Blackberry Bliss and Hello Honey for the centers.  The leaves were stamped first with the leaf stamp from Botanical Blooms, then die cut with the corresponding leaf die.  The oval sentiment panel and the leaves and flower were then popped onto the front with dimensionals.

blogsuiteSayings006I added a few flowers from the FREE Botanicals for You stamp set that also coordinates with Botanical Blooms for the inside of the card, and then made an envelope liner to complete the theme.blogsuiteSayings008

And now, on to the next stop on the hop.  Kristi Gray has something special to share today, so make sure you check out her beautiful creation.  A list of all of the “hoppers” for today is posted below in case you want to go around again, or get lost along the way.
