Stampin’ Up! Cookie Cutter Bear for the Happy Stampers

Happy Stampers Blog Hop

My share for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop uses the Cookie Cutter Bear from the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set. I am happy this set has images that can be used for more than just Christmas cards.  And, that it is not retiring with the Holiday Catalog!

Bear

This week, we were challenged to use Smoky Slate, Calypso Coral and Pool Party as our colors.

Happy Stampers Bear

I started by adhering a panel of A Little Foxy Designer Series Paper to a little larger panel of Pool Party card stock with glue.  Next, I stamped the Cookie Cutter bear image from Cookie Cutter Christmas onto a panel of Whisper White, using Smoky Slate ink.  For the eyes, nose, and mouth, I used Basic Black Archival ink.  I punched out the bear with my Cookie Cutter Builder Punch.  **See note at the end of the post concerning the stamp set and punch bundle.  the bear’s bow tie was stamped first with Calypso Coral ink, then punched with the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch

Bear

I created some frames with my Layering Squares Framelits Dies and some Calypso Coral, Whisper White and Pool Party card stock.  The bear was adhered to the center of the Whisper White square and it and the other frame were adhered to the front of the card.  This whole panel was adhered to the Smoky Slate card stock base with dimensionals. I used a sentiment from Suite Sayings and stamped it with Basic Black Archival ink onto t panel of Smoky Slate. The banner was then cut using Bunch of Banners Framelits Dies.

Beat

For the inside of the card, I fussy cut the banners from another panel of A Little Foxy DSP and adhered it with glue to the top of my Whisper White panel.  The sentiment is from Sunshine Sayings and is stamped in Basic Black Archival ink.

You will find a complete list of supplies and card stock cuts at the end of my post.

And now, its time to hop along to see what Kristi has created for us today!

Christmas Gift Tags and Blog Candy Reminder

christmas Gift Tags

Are your presents all wrapped and under the tree?  If so , you are way ahead of me!!  I am sharing some Christmas Gift Tags for you today using several of the wonderful products from the 2016 Holiday Catalog, soon to be replaced by all of the wonderful new products from Stampin’ Up!  Before I share them, though, I want to remind you I am giving away some blog candy this weekend.  Check out my post from yesterday HERE that tells you all about it.

Here is a group shot of the Christmas Gift Tags.

Christmas Gift Tags

I didn’t just make them flat tags, though, they are folded, and I have stamped the To and From on the inside.

Christmas Gift Tags

For these tags, I used the Christmas Stockings Thinlits Dies.  I used the largest die to cut the base stocking in Whisper White Thick card stock.  I cut a 2 1/4″ x 5″ panel of Whisper White and scored it at 2 1/2″.  Then, I placed the large plain stocking die on my paper with the top edge of the die just above the top of the paper (where the fold was) and ran it through the Big Shot.  Next, I used Real Red, Cucumber Crush and Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper to create  the cute cut outs. stocking tops and bows.  I used my 1/8″ Handheld Circle Punch to create a hole for the tie.

This next picture shows how I stamped the inside of all of the gift tags.

Christmas Gift Tags

Here is a close up of the tag created with the Jar of Love, Jar of Cheer and the Everyday Jars Framelits Dies.

Christmas Gift Tags

For this gift tag, I used Kraft card stock.  I stamped the jar and the snowman image in Soft Suede ink. Then I inked the snow image from Jar of Cheer in Versa Mark ink, sprinkled it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I colored in the scarf, hat and nose with Cucumber Crush, Real Red and Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Write Markers.  To cut out the tag, I lined up the jar framelit at the top of the fold in the paper.  I let it hang over the top edge just a little so that I would have another folded tag.  I used the lid stamp from Jar of Love and stamped it in Real Red onto Whisper White card stock and die cut it.  The holly and berries are from Hang Your Stocking.  I also used a little Wink of Stella to make the snow areas sparkle!

I wanted to try my hand at one more tag with a fold, so I stamped the gingerbread boy from Cookie Cutter Christmas in Crumb Cake ink onto Whisper White thick card stock.  That was too thick for my Cookie Cutter Punch, so I switched to regular Whisper White card stock.  I cut another panel about 2″ x 5″, folded it in half and stamped right at the top of the fold, then punched it out making sure I left some of the fold in tact.  Hopefully, that makes sense!

I punched a hole again and added some of the Candy Cane Lane Baker’s Twine (used in all of the tags) so that the tag can be attached to a gift.

Are you ready to try creating some folded Christmas Gift Tags?

Products used in creating my gift tags are listed at the end of the post.

Stampin’ Up! Cookie Cutter Christmas Winter Holiday Blog Hop

Winter Holiday

Welcome to our Winter Holiday Blog Hop featuring Amy’s Inkin’ Krew.  We are a group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators who have Amy, from Stamp With Amy K, as our fabulous upline!  Our theme for this hop was to create a project for a winter holiday-which could be one of several occasions.  I chose to create a card for Christmas with lots of snow!

winter holiday

The “ground” was stamped first, using the stamp from Thoughtful Branches, which was originally meant as stems for the flower heads in that stamp set.  Then, I added the sentiment from Cookie Cutter Christmas.  Both are stamped in Soft Suede ink.  The panel was then dry embossed using the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and adhered to a panel of Real Red card stock with liquid glue.

winter holiday

The next step was to create an igloo, so I took a panel of Whisper White Thick card stock and first dry embossed it with the Brick Wall TIEF.  Then, using two ovals from the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies, cut out an igloo shape.  I pulled out my Clear Wink of Stella and colored the outer oval and the “block” edges to make it glisten.  (Wish it would show up in the photo!)  The igloo was popped onto the front with dimensionals.

winter holiday

My Eskimo boy was stamped in Soft Suede onto a panel of Whisper White Thick card stock and punched out with the coordinating Cookie Cutter Builder Punch.  Then, I used a Blender Pen and colored his outfit with Real Red, Cucumber Crush, Soft Suede and Soft Sky inks.  He is popped onto the front with dimensionals, too.  This whole art panel was then popped onto the Cucumber Crush card base with dimensionals.  I added a gold Metallic Enamel Shape star to the top of one of the trees for interest.

winter holiday

I repeated one of the trees from the front of the card for the inside in Cucumber Crush ink.  The sentiment, from Cookie Cutter Christmas, is stamped in Soft Suede ink.  I layered this Whisper White panel onto a panel of Real Red and then attached them to the inside with liquid glue.  Another star from the Metallic Enamel Shapes was added to the top of the tree.

Card stock cuts and products used in creating my card are at the end of the post.

Stampin’ Up! Jolly Friends for the Happy Stampers

Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Hi, and welcome to another Happy Stampers Blog Hop!  My share for today is using the Jolly Friends stamp set from the new Stampin’ Up!  Holiday Catalog   Just a few more days and you will be able to order all of the new goodies.  I hope you have received your new catalog so that you can make your list.

Our challenge today was to create a project using these colors:

Happy Stampers Jolly Friends

I was determined to use one of my new holiday stamp sets and Jolly Friends seemed to catch my eye.  But, you say, these are not really holiday colors!  Well, maybe I am stretching my imagination a little, but that is part of the fun, right?!

What do you  think?

JollFriendsy

I started by building my elf and his hat and scarf from Jolly Friends.  First I stamped the elf face in Soft Suede onto Whisper White Thick card stock, then added some pink to his cheeks using Pink Pirouette and a Q-tip.  Then, I fussy cut it out using my paper snips.  Next, I stamped the scarf, hat pieces and the bell.  I used Old Olive ink on the scarf and hat pieces and then filled in the spaces with my Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Write Marker.  The bell is stamped in Bermuda Bay ink.  I pulled out my Jolly Hat Builder Punch (available as a bundle to save !0% with this stamp set) and punched out the hat pieces.

Jolly Friends

For the Crumb Cake panel, I stamped the “snow” images from Jolly Friends in Versa Mark and heat embossed them with White Embossing Powder.  Next, I created the banner sentiment using one of the sentiments from Cookie-Cutter Christmas, another new stamp set in the Holiday Catalog.  It is stamped in Old Olive ink on a panel of Whisper White and punched with the Duet Banner Punch.  I also punched one in Bermuda Bay and one in Old Olive, cut them in half and adhered them to the White one with glue.

Jolly Friends

I popped my elf parts onto the front with dimensionals, added the banner sentiment with dimensionals and then added some Bermuda Bay sequins with glue dots.  This whole panel was then ready to be added to the Bermuda Bay card base (with dimensionals) that is layered with a panel of Berumda Bay from the Brights Designer Series Paper Stacks.

Jolly Friends

For the inside, I chose a sentiment from Suite Seasons, another new set found in the Holiday Catalog, and stamped it in Bermuda Bay ink.

Stampin’ Up! products used in my card will be listed at the end of my post.  But now, it’s time to see what beautiful creation Kristi has for us today!

Stampin’ Up! Cookie Cutter Christmas Peek

I just had to play with some of my goodies from the 2016 Holiday Catalog and share my Cookie Cutter Christmas Card from the Candy Cane Lane Suite today.  One extra fun part of being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator is getting to order from the new catalogs early!  Customers may order beginning on Selptember 1st, so start making your wish list early-trust me, it is going to be a long one…..

Cookie Cutter Christmas

Here is a close up of the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set and Cookie Cutter Builder Punch that can be bundled to save 10%.

Cookie Cutter Christmas

How cute is this?  The punch also coordinates with Cookie Cutter Halloween, but that is for another day..

Cookie Cutter Christmas

My card base is Real Red.  I chose the striped paper from the Candy Cane Lane DSP, and layered it on a panel of Crumb Cake with glue.  I added a Delicate White Doily to the center with glue and worked on my banners.  The largest banner is cut in Crumb Cake, then dry embossed with the Sparkle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I stamped the sentiment from the new Candy Cane Christmas stamp set in Real Red and used another banner from the Banners Framelits to die cut it, then adhered it to the larger banner with glue and glued it on top of the doily.

Here is a look at the Candy Cane lane DSP:

Cookie Cutter ChristmasCookie Cutter Christmas

Candy Cane Lane

The Gingerbread Boy is stamped in Crumb Cake onto Whisper White and punched out with the Cookie Cutter Builder punch.  I also punched out Real Red heart shaped buttons using that same punch and added them to his shirt with glue.  The candy is from Candy Cane Christmas stamped in Real Red onto Whisper White Thick card stock , fussy cut with Paper Snips, and adhered to the front with glue and dimensionals.  I made a bow with the wonderful new 3 /4″ Real Red Stitched Edge Ribbon and attached it with glue dots on the front and back and popped this panel onto the card base with dimensionals.

Here is a look at Candy Cane Lane and another peek at the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamps:

Cookie Cutter Christmas

I finished the inside of my card with a little strip of the new Candy Cane Lane Designer Washi Tape along the bottom of the Crumb Cake panel.

Cookie Cutter Christmas

I really think you should add Cookie Cutter Christmas to your wish list, I can envision so many adorable projects with this bundle, and of course, you must add Candy Cane Christmas and Candy Cane Lane DSP, and well, you get my drift!!!
