Jolly Moose for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Happy Stampers Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Jolly Friends stamp set to create my Jolly Moose Christmas card for our hop for today.  This week, we have a color challenge using these rich holiday colors:

Happy Stampers blog hop

I also used the sketch over at Fab Friday to give some creation inspiration

Fab Fri 99

Jolly Moose

I stamped my moose image from Jolly Friends in Early Expresso, and fussy cut him with my Paper Snips. Next,  I stamped the cap parts in Cherry Cobbler ink and punched them with the Jolly Hat Builder Punch.  The scarf was also stamped in Cherry Cobbler, but I fussy cut it. The sentiment is from Tin of Tags.  It was stamped in Garden Green, then die cut with a Layering Ovals Framelit Die.   I framed that oval with another scalloped oval in Cherry Cobbler.

Jolly Moose

My card base is Crumb Cake. First, I stamped the snow flake images from Christmas Pines several times in Garden Green ink onto my Garden Green card stock panel.  The banners were cut from the Warmth & Cheer DSP. Then, I swirled some Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green Baker’s Twine onto the front before adding the sentiment ovals with dimensionals.

Jolly Moose

For the inside, I stamped Merry Christmas, from Better Together, and die cut another oval.  Then, I die cut some “mistletoe” from the Pretty Pines Thinlets Dies and tied them together with more of the Baker’s Twine.

Card stock cuts and products used are listed at the end of the post.

Pines

I started with a panel of Presents and Pinecones Specialty Designer Series Paper (the Mint Macaron stripe) and adhered it to the pine cone patterned DSP with liquid glue.  I added a length of Cherry Cobbler 3/8″ Taffeta Ribbon where the two papers met using a strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive.  Next, I added some Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of this panel and attached it to the Cherry Cobbler card stock base.

pines

Using some Early Expresso ink, I stamped the large banner stamp from Christmas Pines onto a panel of Whisper White Thick Cardstock.  The sentiment was stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink, then I used my Paper Snips to fussy cut it out.  I die cut several pine boughs with the Pretty Pines Thinlets Dies from Emerald Envy and Mint Macaron Card stock, one Cherry Cobbler berry bunch, as well as two pine cones using Early Expresso and Crumb Cake Card stock. Using some liquid glue, I dabbed a little onto the pine boughs, berries and pine cones to keep them in a group, then added dimensionals to pop the grouping and the sentiment banner onto the front of the card.

Pine

For the inside, I first stamped one of the pine bough branch images from Christmas Pines in Mint Macaron ink onto a Whisper White panel.  The sentiment was then stamped in Cherry Cobbler on top of the bough.

Stamping supplies used in making this card are listed at the end of my post.

Christmas Pines for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Happy Stampers Blog Hop

The Happy Stampers are back again, and I am posting a Christmas card using the Christmas Pines stamp set and the Pretty Pines Thinlets Dies. This is a wonderful set to bundle and save 10%.  There are 22 photopolymer stamps and 13 dies.  This bundle does not disappoint!

Christmas

And, if you follow us every week, you know it is a sketch challenge this week:
Happy Stampers sketch challenge

Have you started your Christmas cards yet?  I am so happy that I’ve been making them all along so that there is not a mad rush as we get closer to the holiday!  If you haven’t ordered the Christmas Pines bundle, you are really missing out.  I am in love with the pine cone die.  Doesn’t it look cool with this Copper Foil?

Christmas

The sentiment is also in the Christmas Pines stamp set.  I colored it with my Cherry Cobbler and Emerald Envy Stampin’ Write Markers before stamping it onto the Whisper White.  Notice I also used the new Fancy Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper.  This paper can also be sponged to highlight the raised images.

Here is how I finished the inside:

Christmas

I stamped the pine bough stamp in Emerald Envy, then placed a couple of the bough die cuts from the Pretty Pines Thinlets dies on top.  I used liquid glue to adhere them.

Stampin’ Up! products used and card stock cuts will be at the end of my post.

Now, please hop forward to see what Kristi has created for us today.  If you have just started here, a list of all of the Happy Stampers is provided below so that you can see their beautiful creations, too.

Stampin’ Up! Christmas Pines Wreath

Today’s share uses the Christmas Pines and Pretty Pines Thinlets Dies for my Christmas Card.  Who can resist this new bundle?  It is really versatile and I am sure I will be putting it to a lot of use this holiday season!

The inspiration for my sketch is from Fab Friday #95

FabFri95

Christmas Pines

I started with a Whisper White Thick card stock base and added a panel of Whisper White regular card stock that had been dry embossed with the Sparkle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  Next, I die cut a Swirly Scribbles circle from Kraft paper for the wreath shape.  For the “boughs” I used two of the dies from Pretty Pines Thinlets Dies and cut out 12 of them in Cucumber Crush card stock.

Christmas Pines

The greenery was then woven into the wreath with little dabs of liquid glue to hold them in place.  I did not want them to be just flat on the page.  I then die cut the Real Red “berries” and bow with other dies from the Pretty Pines Thinlets.  So that my bow would be a little more substantial, I cut 3 and layered them with dots of liquid glue before attaching them to the wreath.  I added some Candy Cane Lane Designer Washi Tape to a strip of Whisper White card stock and glued it to the front of the card, then popped the wreath on with dimensionals.  The sentiment, from Merriest Wishes, is stamped in Versa Mark on Real Red, then embossed with White Embossing Powder.  It was die cut with a banner die from Gift Card Envelopes and Trim Thinlets.  The bow got a White Perfect Accents dot to complete it.

Christmas Pines

I went back to the Christmas Pines stamp set for the inside sentiment and stamped it in Real Red on my Whisper White panel.  The bottom is finished with another strip of the Candy Cane Lane Designer Washi Tape, then attached to the base with liquid glue.

Who knew the Swirly Scribbles Thinlets could be used to make a wreath?  Hope you liked mine made with Christmas Pines and the Pretty Pines Thinlets.  Remember to bundle these sets for a savings of 10%

Stampin’ Up! Christmas Pines for the Happy Stampers

Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Welcome to another Happy Stampers Blog Hop. We have a sketch for you today and I am using the new Christmas Pines stamp set from Stampin’ Up! for my card.

Here is our sketch:

Happy Stampers blog Hop

I have to admit. this sketch was a little difficult for me at first, then the more I looked at it, I decided it reminded me of a Gatefold Shutter Card that I had made a while back.  So, that is what I made, using the new Christmas Pines stamp set bundle available on September 1st.

Christmas Pines

I guess if you use your imagination, you might see some of the elements of the sketch, right?  I love this new stamp set and the Pretty Pines Thinlets Dies and I know you will. too.  Of course, everything in the new catalog is awesome!!

Christmas Pines

I also used the Presents & Pinecones Designer Series Paper which coordinates with Christmas Pines.  For a tutorial to make a Gatefold Shutter Card, click HERE.  Don’t you just love the look of the pine cone?  It is made with the new Copper Foil Paper also available on September 1st.

Here is a shot with the belly band off the card:

Christmas Pines

The reason this is named a shutter card is when you open it up, it has a little shutter like a camera that opens to show your sentiment.  Mine really does open wider as it is supposed to, but I could not photograph it with one hand and open it properly with just my other hand, sorry!
Christmas Pines

I needed a compact sentiment for the inside, so I chose the Merry Christmas from Better Together.  Hope you liked my card using the new Christmas Pines and Pretty Pines Thinlets Dies.  Make sure to add them to your wish list, and get ready, because September 1st is only a few days away!

Now, let’s move on to see what Kristi has created for us today.  A list of our Happy Stampers Team is below the button.
