Stampin’ Up! Celebrate

Happy Saturday!  What a wonderful weekend to celebrate this beautiful USA and our patriots.  My Stampin’ Up! Celebrate card is dedicated to all of our service men and women, past and present, who have served all over the world to keep us free!

Stampin' Up! Celebrate

The inspiration for the sketch is from Hand Stamped Sentiments #241.

And, I’m also playing along with the TGIF color challenge # 62

TGIF JULY 2016 Challenges-004

I wanted to make a patriotic card anyway for this 4th of July weekend, so the TGIF62 challenge was a perfect one to play along with!  I hope you will check out both of the sites to see all of the beautiful cards there.

Stampin' Up! Celebrate

I employed several different stamp sets for my Stampin’ Up! Celebrate card.  First, I stamped the splotched image from Swirly Bird in Night of Navy onto a panel of Whisper White.  That panel was rounded on the left side with the Project Life Corner Punch.  I added some clear Wink of Stella to some of the splotches to give it some bling.  This panel was framed with a panel of Real Red that also had the corner rounded. The banners are punched with the Banner Triple punch in Navy Floral Boutique DSP and Real Red from the Brights DSP stacks and adhered to the art panel with multipurpose liquid glue.

Stampin' Up! Celebrate

I die cut a Real Red star using the 3rd from the smallest Stars Framelits; die cut the 2nd to the smallest star in Dazzling Diamonds DSP, and glued them together.  I used the Celebrate stamp from Celebrate Today for my sentiment.  It is stamped with Versa Mark ink and sprinkled with White Embosing Powder, then heat embossed.  I popped it onto the stars with dimensionals, added dimensionals to the back of the stars and popped it onto the banners.

I used one of the Mini Treat Bag Thinlets dies to cut out the small red stars.  They have Wink of Stella applied to them also and are attached with a small dot of glue.

My whole art panel was then added to the Whisper White card base with dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Celebrate

For the inside, I stamped some more of the splotches, except this time, they are in Real Red.  I chose the sentiment from Watercolor Words and stamped it in Night of Navy, then added some strips of the DSP used on the front to the bottom.  The Night of Navy stars also have some clear Wink of Stella applied to them.

Hope you have enjoyed my Stampin’ Up! Celebrate card and hope you are celebrating this beautiful weekend with friends and/or family!

Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Today

Happy Saturday!  Hope your spring day is shaping up to be a great one!  My share for today is from Celebrate Today from Stampin’ Up!

Celebrate Today

I am playing along with the Sunday Stamps Challenge SSC123, which is a “rainbow” challenge.  Head over to the Sunday Stamps site and play along-and check out all of the great cards featured there.

I started by stamping the “rainbow” image under the balloons.  I used the ground stamp from Sheltering Tree and inked it with Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Cucumber Crush, Pacific Point and Elegant Eggplant inks  onto a panel of Whisper White.  I used a panel of Cucumber Crush envelope paper to frame the art piece and adhered it with multipurpose liquid glue.

Celebrate Today

The new Balloon Bouquet punch creates wonderful balloons!  I punched out one of each in my rainbow colors and added a little white accent with my uni-ball Signo Gel Pen.  I stamped some strings for the balloons with Basic Black archival ink and attached a few with glue and a few I popped up with dimensionals.  Then, added a red bow with some !/4″ cotton ribbon, and 3 silver sequins. The sentiment from Celebrate Today is stamped onto the card front in Basic Black archival ink. This panel was then popped onto the Pacific Point card base with dimensionals.

Here is the inside:

Celebrate Today

I used  2 more stamps from Celebrate Today and the bow is from the Balloon Framelits.  I added a sequin to the center of the bow, too.  This stamp set is found on page 102 of the Annual Catalog.  It comes as a bundle with the Balloons Framelits for a 15% savings!  It can be used for birthdays, graduation, wedding or baby cards or projects.  So versatile, and a fun set to have.

Card stock cuts will be at the end of the post.
