Stampin’ Up! Beachy Little Christmas Sneak Peek

I used the Beachy Little Christmas stamp set from the upcoming 2017 Holiday Catalog, available on September 1st, to create the card I am sharing today.

Stampin' Up! Beachy Little Christmas-Cardiology by Jari

I started by stamping the palm trees from Beachy Little Christmas in Soft Suede ink onto a panel of Crumb Cake card stock.  Then, using a blender pen, I colored in all of the details.  Next, I stamped the beach hut and surfboard image in Soft Suede onto a panel of Whisper White and colored it in using my Blender Pen and inks.  Then, I used my Paper Snips and cut out the house and surfboard.  I adhered the art panel onto a panel of Bermuda Bay, then wrapped a length of Linen Thread around it a few times and secured it to the back with some tape. Next,  I adhered a panel of Real Red onto the Crumb Cake base, and then popped the art panel on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.   I stamped the sentiment, also from Beachy Little Christmas, and cut out a banner with a die from the Bunch of Banners Framelits.  Finally, the beach hut and banner were popped onto the front with dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Beach Little Christmas-Cardiology by Jari

The Crumb Cake inside panel was stamped with the other sentiment from the set in Soft Suede ink.  Then, I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig and lined up the three shell stamps across the bottom.  I matted it with a panel of Bermuda Bay and then adhered it to the base with liquid glue.

Stampin’ Up! Labels to Love Sneak Peek

Today I am sharing a sneak peek of the Labels to Love stamp set from the upcoming 2017 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog (available to order on September 1st).

Stampin' Up! Labels to Love -Cardiology by Jari

My sketch was inspired by the card sketch at Paper Craft Crew #256

PCC#256

I also used the Colorful Seasons Bundle (save 10%) for this CAS (clean and simple) card.  First, I stamped the Give Thanks sentiment from Labels to Love (available Sept. 1st) in VersaMark ink onto a panel of Very Vanilla card stock.  Then, I sprinkled on Copper Emboss Powder, heated it with my heat tool until smooth and shiny and die cut it with a circle die from the Layering Circles Framelits Dies.  It was framed with a little larger Copper Foil scalloped circle.

Stampin' Up! Labels to Love-Cardiology by Jari

Using the smallest leaf image from the Colorful Seasons stamp set, I stamped two leaves onto a panel of Very Vanilla card stock.  The top leaf was stamped in Crushed Curry and the lower leaf in Cajun Craze.  This panel was adhered to a panel of Copper Foil.  Next, I punched a banner of Painted Autumn DSP (Available Sept 1st) with my Banner Triple Punch and popped it onto the stamped panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I cut a length of Copper Trim, pulled it apart a little and stuck it under the banner adhering it with a glue dot.

Stampin' Up! Labels to Love-Cardiology by Jari

I die cut the open leaf from the Seasonal Layers Framelits Dies in Copper Foil and adhered it to my sentiment circle with a glue dot.   Then I wound several loops of Copper Metallic Thread around my fingers and attached it to the back of the circle with more glue dots.   Then I adhered the circle to the banner with a little liquid glue and a couple of Stampin’ Dimensionals.   Regals Enamel Shapes, Rhinestone Basic Jewels and a Gold Faceted Gem were added and finally, the art panel was adhered to the Cajun Craze card base with more dimensionals.

The inside sentiment is from Colorful Seasons and embossed with more Copper Emboss Powder.  The small leaves are stamped in Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry.

A complete list of stamping supplies and card stock cuts are at the end of the post.

Stampin’ Up! Background Bits Thank You

Today, I am sharing three very quick and easy thank you cards I created with the Background Bits Host stamp set, from Stampin’ Up!

Stampin' Up! Background Bits-Cardiology by Jari

I pulled out three of the Whisper White Note Cards and Envelopes and Backgound Bits to start.  When you host a party, you are eligible to purchase the host exclusive sets found in the catalog on pages 220-223 of the Annual Catalog. Don’t live close enough to me for a party in your home?  Well, email me about hosting your own catalog party.

I just love the new 2017-2019 In Colors, especially Lemon Lime Twist, Berry Burst and Fresh Fig, so I chose to use them in these simple thank you cards.

Stampin' Up! Background Bits-Cardiology by Jari

I stamped the single flower image from Background Bits in Lemon Lime Twist and Fresh Fig using the ink to rubber method.  This is where you apply ink to your stamp using Stampin’ Write Markers.  I cut out the image using a Stitched Shapes Framelits square and matted it with a little larger scalloped Layering Squares Thinlet in a panel from Fresh Florals Designer Series paper.  Next, I cut a length of Lemon Lime Twist 1/2″ Fine Woven Ribbon, notched the ends with Paper Snips and adhered it to the back of my squares with some Tear & Tape Adhesive.  I dry fit the art panel and used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the sentiment, also from Background Bits.  Finally, I adhered the art square with ribbon attached to the front of the note card with more Tear & Tape and some Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin' Up! Background Bits-Cardiology by Jari

For the next two cards, I chose to flip the cards vertically and used Lemon Lime Twist and Berry Burst inks and coordinating paper from the Fresh Florals DSP.   Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist 1/2″ Woven Ribbon lengths were added behind each art panel as described above.

Stampin' Up! Background Bits-Cardiology by Jari

If you haven’t ordered the Whisper White note cards and envelopes, you have missed out!  This year, Stampin’ Up! added Very Vanilla note cards to the line up.  Check them out on page 195 of the Annual Catalog and order yours today!

Stampin’ Up! A Little Wild About You

I used the A Little Wild stamp set bundle from Stampin’ Up! to create the CAS (clean and simple) card I am sharing with you today.

Stampin' Up! A Little Wild-Cardiology by Jari

The inspiration for my CAS sketch is from CAS(E) This Sketch #231.  I hope you’ll check out what the designers have created and even play along with this challenge.

CAS(E) this sketch #231

To me, a clean and simple card sketch is probably the hardest to create.  And, I am not really sure why, because they are meant to be just clean and simple!  But this stamp set, A Little Wild, seemed to be perfect for the sketch.  I started by stamping the front facing part of the lion image in Basic Black Archival ink onto a panel of water color paper.  Each of the three animal stamps in the set have the front and the back of the animal so that it can be cut out and folded to create a little card.  See page 108 in the Annual Catalog.

Then, using my Aqua Painter and Crushed Curry, Soft Suede and Early Expresso inks, colored him in.  I used the Little Loves Framelits Die to cut him out, and finished cutting the area around the top of his head with my Paper Snips since he was not going to be folded for a little gift card.

Stampin' Up! A Little Wild-Cardiology by Jari

I cut out a square from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies in Whisper White, then adhered it to a panel of Pick a Pattern Designer Series paper cut into a scalloped square from the Layering Squares Framelits.  A banner was cut from another panel of the Pick a Pattern DSP and I dry fitted where I wanted the banner and lion panel to be placed. Then, I removed them and stamped the sentiment in Early Expresso ink onto a panel of Whisper White.  The Whisper White panel was adhered to a panel of Early Expresso then the banner was added with some liquid glue.  I popped the lion on with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then onto the card front with more dimensionals.  A Crushed Curry Enamel Shape Heart finished off the front.

Stampin' Up!A Little Wild-Cardiology by Jari

I chose a sentiment from the Just Add Text stamp set and used Early Expresso ink.  A strip of the Pick a Pattern DSP used for the banner in the front was added to the bottom of the inside panel, then adhered to the card base with liquid glue. Enjoy!

A complete list of supplies and card stock cuts will be at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Daisy Delight for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome once again to our Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  I used the ever so popular Daisy Delight stamp set, from Stampin’ Up!, to create the clean and simple card I am sharing with you today.

Stampin' Up! Daisy Delight-Cardiology by Jari

Here is the sketch which inspired us:

Happy Inkin' Thursday Sketch Delight

I started by cutting a template from one of my Layering Circle Framelits Dies so that I could sponge a circular area onto my Whisper White art panel.  Once the hole was cut out, I placed my template over the Whisper White panel, held it tightly over the area I wanted colored, and then used Daffodil Delight ink and a sponge.  I made circular swipes with my sponge until I was happy with the amount of color sponged onto to the panel.

Stampin' Up1 Daisy Delight-Cardiology by Jari

Next, I stamped the flower stems from Daisy Delight in Old Olive ink.  The daisy flower heads were stamped in Basic Black Archival ink and the small flower heads in Night of Navy ink.  I adhered the art panel to a panel of Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper.  I’m not really happy with a lot of white space on my cards, so I decided to stamp the small bee image from the Touches of Texture stamp set.  I fussy cut it with Paper Snips and added some clear Wink of Stella to the wings.

Stampin' Up! Daisy Delight-Cardiology by Jari

I stamped the sentiment from Sheltering Tree in VersaMark ink onto a panel of Night of Navy, sprinkled it with White Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  The ends of the banner were punched with the Banner Triple Punch.

A length of Daffodil Delight 1/4″ Double Stitched Ribbon was adhered to the front of the card, then I popped on the banner with some Stampin’ Dimensionals.  For a little added interest, I added 3 Metallic Enamel Shapes and the card front was complete.  For the inside, I adhered a strip of the Delightful Daisy DSP used on the card front to the bottom of a Whisper White panel and left the rest blank for writing a message.  Enjoy!

A complete list of stamping supplies needed to create this card as well as card stock cuts in inches will be at the end of my post.

Now, I hope you’ll hop around to see what the rest of the crew has created for you today!

Stampin’ Up! Great Big Greetings for the 4th of July

Hello, Stamping Friends, I hope your Independence Day is going to be fun filled!  My share today is from the new Great Big Greetings stamp set found on page 67 of the 2017-18 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog.  I love large greetings for the front of my cards, and this stamp set is especially fun.

Stampin' Up! Great Big Greetings-Cardiology by Jari

My card base is Night of Navy. A panel of Silver Foil was dry embossed with the new Oh My Stars Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and matted to a panel of Real Red with multipurpose liquid glue.

I stamped the sentiment from Great Big Greetings in Real Red, then stamped it again in Night of Navy and cut out the small words and notched each end for a banner to pop onto the front.  The sentiment panel was framed in Night of Navy and Real Red, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  A Real Red Enamel Shape star was added to complete the front.

Stampin' Up! Great Big Greetings-Cardiology by Jari

For the inside, I stamped the splotches from Touches of Texture in Night of Navy and Real Red onto the Whisper White panel.  Next, I stamped the sentiment from Watercolor Words in Versa Mark ink, sprinkled it with Silver Emboss powder and heat embossed it.  Silver Sequins and Silver Metallic Enamel Shape Stars completed the festive look.

I think Great Big Greetings works well for this occasion, but would also work for birthdays and any other festive celebration, how about you?

Card stock cuts and a supply list will be at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Colorful Seasons Bundle

I’m sharing my new favorite stamp set bundle from the upcoming 2017-2018 Annual Catalog, the Colorful Seasons Bundle (available June 1st).  I love it because it can be used all year round and has wonderful sentiments.  Plus, don’t you just love this die cut Adirondack chair?

Stampin' Up! Colorful Seasons Bundle-Cardiology by Jari

The sketch inspiration is from Freshly Made Sketches FMS#285

I started with a Whisper White panel and stamped it with the Gorgeous Grunge (retiring) stamps in Crushed Curry. Because it was going to be the background, I stamped the images off onto a scrap paper first.  Next, I stamped the sentiment from the Colorful Seasons Bundle, in Early Expresso directly onto the art panel.  The sun was die cut with a die from the Swirly Scribbles Thinlets and glued down.

Stampin' Up! Colorful Seasons Bundle-Cardiology by Jari

I die cut the Adirondack chair from the new Wood Textures Designer Series Paper (available June 1st) and the die from the Colorful Seasons Bundle.  The gulls were drawn on with an Early Expresso Stampin’ Write Marker and I adhered the art panel to a panel of Crushed Curry card stock with more glue.  Next, I cut thin strips from my Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhered them to the back of the chair and popped it onto the card front.  The new Berry Burst ink was used to stamp the glass and straw, then die cut using the Seasonal Layers Thinlets Dies.  Once the glass was adhered just above the chair arm, I popped the whole front onto the Lemon Lime Twist card base with more Dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Colorful Seasons Bundle-Cardiology by Jari The inside sentiment is also from the Colorful Seasons set and stamped in Early Expresso ink.  I used Lemon Lime Twist for the flowers and the centers are Berry Burst.

A complete list of supplies including card stock cuts will be at the end of the post.

Stampin’ Up! Suite Sentiments

I’m sharing a card created with the Suite Sentiments stamp set, from Stampin’ Up! today.

Stampin' Up! Suite Sentiments by Cardiology by Jari

My sketch was inspired by the sketch challenge this week at Fab Friday:

FabFri107

And I used the TGIFc97 color combo challenge for my color choices:

TGIFc97

I think you could say I really like this color combo, as my last card was created with the exact same combo!  Trust me, it was not planned, but I do love them together.  I started by adhering a panel from Cupcakes and Carousels to a panel of Calypso Coral. Then, adhered that panel to my Bermuda Bay card stock base.  Using the ink to rubber technique, I colored the sentiment, from Suite Sentiments, with Calypso Coral and Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Write Markers.  Next, I huffed on it a few times, then stamped it onto a panel of Very Vanilla.

Stampin' Up! Suite Sentiments by Cardiology by Jari

The sentiment was then die cut with a banner die from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlets dies.  The larger banner is a strip of Bermuda Bay Glimmer paper notched at either end with my Banner Triple Punch. My  Lace Doily was then cut in half and I adhered the Very Vanilla side onto a half circle die cut from Calypso Coral card stock.

Stampin' Up! Suite Sentiments Cardiology by Jari

I chose another sentiment from the Suite Sentiments stamp set and stamped it in Calypso Coral onto the Very Vanilla card stock base.

A complete list of stamping supplies used to create my card and card stock cuts are at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Time of Year for The Paper Players

I combined the Time of Year and Love & Affection stamp sets to create a card for The Paper Players Clean and Simple Challenge this week.

Time of Year Love & Affection

The challenge this week is to create a CAS card with the sentiment as the focal point.  I hope you’ll check out all of the other designs at PP#332.

Paper Players #332

I started with a panel of Cucumber Crush as my base.  When I paired it with Night of Navy, I felt like I needed to do something to the Night of Navy besides just creating a frame with Copper Foil paper.  So, I pulled out my Floral Affections Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and dry embossed the Night of Navy layer.  The folder is smaller than most Embossing Folders so I was able to move the panel and emboss different sections .  I actually ran it through 4 different times, embossing the corners and some of the middle.

Time of Year and Love & Affection

Thinking of You is the main sentiment in the Time of Year Host stamp set, and I stamped it in Versa Mark ink on a panel of Crumb Cake card stock.  Then, I sprinkled it with Copper Emboss Powder and heat embossed it. Once dry, it was cut out with the largest square from the Layering Squares Framelits Dies.   The frame is the largest scalloped square from that same set of framelits.   I chose the small flower image from Love & Affection and stamped a panel of Watermelon Wonder with more Versa Mark ink, then Copper Emboss Powder.  The flower was then fussy cut with my Paper Snips.

Time of Year and Love & Affection

For the center strip, I chose the Affectionately Yours Specialty DSP and used more Copper Foil for a frame for it.  Once all the parts were completed, I began adhering them from the bottom up.  The Night of Navy panel was adhered to the Foil with glue, then adhered to the card base with Dimensionals. The center strip was adhered with glue, then the sentiment panel popped on with Dimensionals. I added the flower last with a small Dimensional.

The inside of my card is simple, too

Time of Year and Love & Affection

I used the sentiment from Love & Affection and stamped it in Versa Mark, then heat embossed it with Copper Emboss Powder.

A complete list of stamping supplies and card stock cuts in inches for my Time of Year and Love & Affection card will be at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Blooms & Wishes For You

I used the Blooms & Wishes stamp set from Stampin’ Up! to create a Clean and Simple card for today.

Blooms & Wishes

I was inspired by the colors over at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge #86 this week

SIP 86

And, my sketch was inspired by Case this Sketch CAS(E)#209

I started by making a mask of the largest flower image so that my other flowers would appear to be behind it.  I used Daffodil Delight ink and stamped the flower from Blooms & Wishes onto a sticky note, and fussy cut it out.  Then, I stamped the large flower image onto my Whisper White panel.  I stamped the center image with Peekaboo Peach.

Blooms & Wishes

The mask was then placed on top of the large flower and I began to stamp the other flowers and leaves using Peekaboo Peach, Bermuda Bay and Wild Wasabi.  Once all of the florals were completed, I stamped the sentiment, also from Blooms & Wishes, in Versa Mark ink.  Copper Embossing Powder was sprinkled on top and heat embossed.

Blooms & Wishes

The art panel was adhered to a panel of Bermuda Bay with liquid glue. Then, I added a few pearls to the centers of the small flowers and popped it onto the Whisper White base with dimensionals.

Blooms & Wishe

For the inside, I stamped some more of the flower images from Blooms & Wishes using the masking technique again, and layered it onto a panel of Bermuda Bay before adhering it to the Whisper White base.

A complete list of stamping supplies and card stock cuts are located at the end of my post.
