Stampin’ Up! Suite Sentiments

I’m sharing a card created with the Suite Sentiments stamp set, from Stampin’ Up! today.

Stampin' Up! Suite Sentiments by Cardiology by Jari

My sketch was inspired by the sketch challenge this week at Fab Friday:

FabFri107

And I used the TGIFc97 color combo challenge for my color choices:

TGIFc97

I think you could say I really like this color combo, as my last card was created with the exact same combo!  Trust me, it was not planned, but I do love them together.  I started by adhering a panel from Cupcakes and Carousels to a panel of Calypso Coral. Then, adhered that panel to my Bermuda Bay card stock base.  Using the ink to rubber technique, I colored the sentiment, from Suite Sentiments, with Calypso Coral and Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Write Markers.  Next, I huffed on it a few times, then stamped it onto a panel of Very Vanilla.

Stampin' Up! Suite Sentiments by Cardiology by Jari

The sentiment was then die cut with a banner die from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlets dies.  The larger banner is a strip of Bermuda Bay Glimmer paper notched at either end with my Banner Triple Punch. My  Lace Doily was then cut in half and I adhered the Very Vanilla side onto a half circle die cut from Calypso Coral card stock.

I chose another sentiment from the Suite Sentiments stamp set and stamped it in Calypso Coral onto the Very Vanilla card stock base.

A complete list of stamping supplies used to create my card and card stock cuts are at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Blooms & Wishes For You

I used the Blooms & Wishes stamp set from Stampin’ Up! to create a Clean and Simple card for today.

Blooms & Wishes

I was inspired by the colors over at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge #86 this week

SIP 86

And, my sketch was inspired by Case this Sketch CAS(E)#209

I started by making a mask of the largest flower image so that my other flowers would appear to be behind it.  I used Daffodil Delight ink and stamped the flower from Blooms & Wishes onto a sticky note, and fussy cut it out.  Then, I stamped the large flower image onto my Whisper White panel.  I stamped the center image with Peekaboo Peach.

Blooms & Wishes

The mask was then placed on top of the large flower and I began to stamp the other flowers and leaves using Peekaboo Peach, Bermuda Bay and Wild Wasabi.  Once all of the florals were completed, I stamped the sentiment, also from Blooms & Wishes, in Versa Mark ink.  Copper Embossing Powder was sprinkled on top and heat embossed.

Blooms & Wishes

The art panel was adhered to a panel of Bermuda Bay with liquid glue. Then, I added a few pearls to the centers of the small flowers and popped it onto the Whisper White base with dimensionals.

Blooms & Wishe

For the inside, I stamped some more of the flower images from Blooms & Wishes using the masking technique again, and layered it onto a panel of Bermuda Bay before adhering it to the Whisper White base.

A complete list of stamping supplies and card stock cuts are located at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Avant Garden Hello

Happy Sunday, thanks for stopping by!  My share today is from the FREE Avant Garden stamp set from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.  Wow, do I love this set.  It is my first time using it, and I already have another card in mind for it!

Avant Garden

This is a very clean and simple card to do, it came together in just a few minutes.  We all need those cards every now and then, right?  I started with a Wild Wasabi card base and stamped the dotted images from Avant Garden all over it in the same colored ink.

Avant Garden

Next, I went to work creating my “garden”.  I stamped the flower image from Avant Garden in Flirty Flamingo and Peekaboo Peach, stamping off some of them to get different shades of color. The flower centers are stamped in Soft Suede ink.   Then, I added the leaf images,  randomly stamping in Wild Wasabi ink.  I added the Hello sentiment from Flourishing Phrases, in Soft ink.  I chose a pattern from the Playful Palette DSP stack and adhered it at angle onto the base with liquid glue.  The art panel was then popped onto the front with dimenstionals.

Avant Garden

I added some more flowers and leaves to the bottom of the Very Vanilla panel and adhered it with liquid glue for the inside.  Violá, very quick and easy!  Now, don’t  you love this set, too?  Remember, with any $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration, this set can be yours for FREE, too!

Stampin’ Up! Merriest Wishes

Today’s share is a monochromatic Christmas card using the Merriest Wishes stamp set from Stampin’ Up!

Wishes

The inspiration for my sketch is from CAS(E) This Sketch #196

CTS196

Wishes

My CAS (Clean and Simple) Merriest Wishes Christmas Card came together very quickly.  First, I dry embossed a panel of Whisper White card stock with the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  Then, I added two strips of Silver 3/8″ Glitter Ribbon with Tear & Tape Adhesive.  I stamped the 25 image from Merriest Wishes in Versa Mark ink, added some Heat & Stick Powder and briefly heated it.  Once it was a little tacky, I added Silver Glitter Embossing powder and completed the heat embossing.  I used one of the Merry Tags Framelits Dies to cut it out.  I die cut the large ornament in Silver Foil and glued the 25 to it. The sentiment is from Star of Light and is heat embossed in Silver Emboss Powder and cut out with a banner die from Bunch of Banners. I used  Silver 1/8″ Ribbon for the bow.

As promised, I told you I would share some from Atlanta this weekend.  Brian King and Pam Morris hosted a World Card Making event (Friday) to coincide with the On Stage Stampin’ Up! event in Atlanta this weekend.  We had fun hearing some great tips from other demonstrators, saw some great cards and projects other fellow demos made, won some prizes and made some cards!  Here are a couple of photos to share:

WCMD

The table decoration is the adorable bauble in the flower pot.  Each table looked so nice before we all began stamping!  As you can see in the background, we kind of had a mess (and chocolates!)  Look at the adorable packaging for our chocolate chip cookies!

WCMD

The little box on the left was also a gift to the attendees, it is filled with peppermints and had a small wooden stamp tucked inside as a surprise!  The two small cards were just a couple of our make and takes.

Thanks for stopping by today, see you next time with some more photos and maybe some surprises!

Thoughtful Branches Sympathy Card

Hi Stampers, today my share is from Thoughtful Branches by Stampin’ Up!  Time is really running short for you to add this wonderful bundle to your stash.  It is only available until August 31st.  More about that later…

I needed a sympathy card and wanted to showcase the Thoughtful Branches Bundle a couple more times to show you how versatile it is.

Thoughtful Branches

I started with a panel of Crumb Cake, and dry embossed it with an old favorite, the Woodland Textured Impressions  Embossing Folder then glued it to my Soft Suede card base.  Next, I stamped two sets of the grouping of 3 trees from Thoughtful Branches in Soft Suede, onto a panel of Very Vanilla.  The leaf images were stamped in Cajun Craze, some full strength, and some stamped off once onto a scrap of paper before stamping onto the art panel.

Thoughtful Branches

I chose a sentiment from Flourishing Phrases and stamped it onto the front in Cajun Craze with the help of my stamp-a-ma-jig for proper placement.  The three leaves were stamped in Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze and Soft Suede onto Very Vanilla and cut with the corresponding die from the Beautiful Branches Thinlets Dies, which may be purchased as a bundle to save 10%.  My art panel was then glued to a panel of Cajun Craze.  I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the panel 3 times before tying it to the leaves and then making a bow.  Dimensionals were added to the bactk before popping it onto the front of the card.

Thoughtful Branches

The inside sentiment is also from Flourishing Phrases and is stamped in Cajun Craze on a panel of Very Vanilla, then layered onto a panel of Crumb Cake and finally attached to the base with glue.

This is clean and simple and took very little time to put together.  Don’t you agree, you need this Thoughtful Branches Bundle!!  Get it soon…or it will be gone forever!

Stampin’ Up! Swirly Bird Kite

Today’s  clean and simple card is made with the Kite images from the Swirly Bird stamp set from Stampin’ Up! I have seen several cards using the Kite in this set and have been wanting to try it myself.

Kite

My sketch inspiration came from Case This Sketch, CTS #183.  Please make sure you take a look at all of the inspiration over there.

CTS 183 Kite

Kite

I started by stamping the Kite images in Bermuda Bay and Pacific Point onto some Whisper White thick card stock.  Whenever I am going to fussy cut an image, the thick card stock holds up much better for me.  I used the “swoosh” image from Sheltering Tree and inked some bright colors for the sky background.  They are in order from top down:  Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Calypso Coral.

Kite

The Thinking of You sentiment is also from Sheltering Tree, and is stamped onto the front of the Whisper White panel in Pacific Point ink.  I decided where I wanted each Kite to go and then stamped the kite strings in Pacific Point.  The tails are stamped in Pacific Point and Bermuda Bay.  Then each Kite was added to the front with dimensionals.  I adhered the art piece to a panel of Bermuda Bay with liquid glue, then popped that panel onto the Pacific Point card base with dimensionals.

Kite

For the inside, I chose a sentiment from the Suite Sayings stamp set and stamped it in Pacific Point, then added another Kite stamped in Bermuda Bay and Pacific Point inks.

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Blooms for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Birthday Blooms for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop March 31st

Welcome once again to our weekly hop. My share for today is from Birthday Blooms from Stampin’ Up! We have a sketch challenge this week.

Happy Stampers Blog Hop Birthday Blooms

I have had this set, Birthday Blooms, for a while, but had not used it.  Wow, it is another favorite from Stampin’ Up!  And, I especially love how it looks with the Birthday Bouquet DSP.

Birthday Blooms

My card was really quick and easy to put together.  I just stamped the Watermelon Wonder card base with the large flower image from Birthday Blooms in Watermelon Wonder ink, then stamped the dots randomly around the flower (also in Watermelon Wonder).  I cut a panel of Birthday Bouquet DSP that I attached to a panel of Mossy Meadow with multipurpose liquid glue, then adhered it to the card base with more glue.

Stampin' Up! Birthday Blooms

I stamped the banner from the Rose Wonder stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink and used the coordinating die from the Rose Garden Thinlets Dies to cut it out.  The sentiment, from Birthday Blooms, was then stamped in Watermelon Wonder ink.

Stampin' Up! Birthday Blooms

A small piece of a Tea Lace Doily was attached to the banner, then I added dimensionals and popped it onto the card front.  Some  Pearl Basic Jewels were then added for a final touch for the front.

Stampin' Up! Birthday Blooms

I stamped the same flower image from Birthday Blooms on the inside using Watermelon Wonder ink on the Whisper White panel, then stamped the image from Rose Wonder in Mossy Meadow.  Along the bottom is a strip of Watermelon Wonder washi tape.  I framed the artwork piece with a panel of Mossy Meadow from the Designer Series Paper Stacks.

Card stock cuts will be at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Remarkable You for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Happy Stampers March 10th Blog Hop

My share for today’s Happy Stampers Blog Hop goes out to a very special person.  I decided to use the Remarkable You stamp set because she is truly Remarkable!  Sandi, the original Happy Stamper, is having surgery today and we all want her to know how special she is and that we miss her.  She has been absent from the hop for a few weeks and we patiently await her return and wish her a speedy recovery.

Here is our color challenge:

12316634_1305622806130958_8989341666907484828_n

Remarkable You is the perfect stamp set for trying out water coloring!

Stampin' Up! Remarkable You for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop by Cardiology by Jari

We have had such beautiful weather in Georgia the last few days, that I wanted to try photographing my card outside.  I love the outdoor effect with the calla lilies.  As a little girl growing up in Florida, I remember these beautiful flowers growing wild out in the pastures and how much I loved them!

Remarkable You stamp set from Stampin' Up!

The Old Olive card base is stamped first with the leaf stamp from Remarkable You with Old Olive ink.   I used the stamping off technique. This is where you stamp first on a scrap of paper and then stamp onto your card without re-inking. It gives a softer effect. The calla lilies and the sentiment were stamped onto a panel of Water color paper with Versa Mark ink, then heat embossed with Black embossing powder.  I then used my Aqua Painter to “paint” the center of the flower with Hello Honey ink and a little Tangelo Twist for the stamen. The stems were done in Old Olive ink.  The water colored panel was then adhered to a panel of Basic Black with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  A strand of Old Olive Baker’s twine was then wrapped around the art panel 3 times and finished with a bow.  This panel was then popped onto the Old Olive base with dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, I chose a sentiment and butterfly from the Best Thoughts stamp set.

Stampin' Up! RemarkableYou by Card-iology by Jari

The sentiment and butterfly were stamped with Basic Black Archival ink, then the butterfly colored in with my Hello Honey Stampin’ Write Marker.

Card stock cuts will be at the end of the post, but now, it is time to head over to Kristi Gray’s blog to see her beautiful creation for today.  Just click on the forward arrow and you’ll be taken right over to her blog.  In case you get lost along the way, a list of the Happy Stampers sharing today is listed below.  Don’t forget to leave a comment, we love hearing from you!

My card for the hop today is from the Stampin’ Up! Botanicals for You stamp set. This set is only available for a short time during Sale-a- Bration.  I am loving it, because it coordinates with the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies and the Botanical Blooms stamp set!

Today was a color challenge:

Happy Stampers Blog Hop Challenge January 28, 2016

This is really a quick and easy card using the FREE Stampin’ Up! Botanicals for You stamp set from the 2016 Sale-a-Bration catalog.  Just purchase $50 dollars of Stampin’ Up! items and receive this set or any of a host of other wonderful items for Free !

I used the leaf die from the Botanical Builders Framelits to cut the one side of my Whisper White panel.  Then, I cut a piece of Mint Macron to fill in the negative space of the leaf, and attached it to the underside with some glue from my Fine Tip Glue Pen.  Next, I stamped the large sentiment with Basic Black Archival ink and began to add the flowers and leaves with Melon Mango, Crushed Curry and Mint Macaron inks.

To finish the card, I chose one of the other sentiments from Botanicals for You and stamped it in Basic Black archival ink.  The Crushed Curry butterfly is from Butterfly Basics, and the flower in Mint Macaron and Melon Mambo  from Botanicals for You from Stampin’ Up!

Card measurements in inches and products used will be found at the end of the post.
