Stampin’ Up! Botanical Blooms

My card for today is from the Stampin’ Up! Botanical Blooms stamp set and the beautiful Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper.

My inspiration for this card is from CAS(E) this Sketch #162, and here is the sketch:

CTS_162

I have been in love with Botanical Blooms ever since I saw the Botanical Gardens suite in the new Occasions Catalog.  I bought the bundle right away, and have used it a lot (you know if you have followed me for a while!)  This bundle, found on page 26, includes the Botanical Blooms stamp set, Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper, and Botanical Builder Framelits Dies.  And, I love working with the Photopolymer stamps!

During Sale-a-Bration, going on now until March 31st, you can also earn Botanicals for You, another coordinating stamp set for Free!  I used it to combine with Botanical Blooms on the front banner/art work image and on the inside of my card.

**Die cut the flower with Botanical Builder dies on Hello Honey paper and sponge the edges with Cajun Craze ink, add centers of flower cut from the Botanical Builder dies using a dot of glue.  Die cut the leaves and stamp fronds with Botanical Blooms with Cajun Craze ink, attach to flower and pop the flower onto the banner with a Dimensional.

Stampin’ Up! Botanicals for You for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

We are so glad you joined us today for our Happy Stampers color challenge! For my share, I am using the Stampin’ Up! Botanicals for You stamp set, from the Sale-a-Bration catalog, and a lot of help from the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper.  When you have such beautiful paper to play with, you need to showcase it once in a while, don’t you think?

Stampin' Up! Botanicals for You

We are working with these colors today:

If you’re looking for a quick and easy card, this one is it!  Of course, there is a little fussy cutting-so some of you may not think that is so quick or easy, but trust me, this one is not too difficult!   I started by fussy cutting a flower image from the Birthday Bouquet DSP, then added some seed pearls to the center.

Botanicals for You Stampin' Up Sale-a-BrationNext  I chose the sentiment stamp from Botanicals for You minus one of the words.  I covered the word Just with tape, inked the rest of the stamp in Mossy Meadow, removed the tape, and stamped onto a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I used a banner die from Banners Framelits and cut out the sentiment, then bordered it with another banner in Mossy Meadow card stock.  The fussy cut flower was then attached to the banner with Multipurpose Liquid glue.

I layered some of the Birthday Bouquet DSP onto a panel of Mossy Meadow with MP glue, then adhered that layer to the Blushing Bride card base with MP glue.  A Tea Lace Paper Doily was glued to the front, then I cut a length of Blushing Bride Sequin Trim and secured it to the front with the Dimensionals I used to attach the banner/sentiment panel. Easy, easy!

Stampin' Up! Botanicals for You by Card-iology by Jari

The inside sentiment was also stamped with the Botanicals for You stamp set, and I used more of the DSP to trim the bottom.  The Stampin’ Up! Botanicals for You stamp set is FREE during Sale-a-Bration.  What a fun set to have.  If you have followed my blog for a while, you may have noticed that I have used this set quite a bit-I do love it!!

I finished it up by adding an envelope liner to compliment the card:

Happy Stampers Blog Hop

My card for the hop today is from the Stampin’ Up! Botanicals for You stamp set. This set is only available for a short time during Sale-a- Bration.  I am loving it, because it coordinates with the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies and the Botanical Blooms stamp set!

Today was a color challenge:

Happy Stampers Blog Hop Challenge January 28, 2016

This is really a quick and easy card using the FREE Stampin’ Up! Botanicals for You stamp set from the 2016 Sale-a-Bration catalog.  Just purchase $50 dollars of Stampin’ Up! items and receive this set or any of a host of other wonderful items for Free !

Stampin' Up! Botanicals for You by Cardiology by Jari

I used the leaf die from the Botanical Builders Framelits to cut the one side of my Whisper White panel.  Then, I cut a piece of Mint Macron to fill in the negative space of the leaf, and attached it to the underside with some glue from my Fine Tip Glue Pen.  Next, I stamped the large sentiment with Basic Black Archival ink and began to add the flowers and leaves with Melon Mango, Crushed Curry and Mint Macaron inks.

Stampin' Up! Botanicals for You by Cardiology by JariThe Whisper White panel was then attached to the Melon Mambo card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I used the stamp set, Butterfly Basics, also from Stampin’ Up!, to add the two small butterflies to the front.  They were attached with Dimensionals.

To finish the card, I chose one of the other sentiments from Botanicals for You and stamped it in Basic Black archival ink.  The Crushed Curry butterfly is from Butterfly Basics, and the flower in Mint Macaron and Melon Mambo  from Botanicals for You from Stampin’ Up!

Card measurements in inches and products used will be found at the end of the post.
