Stampin’ Up! Happy Birthday Gorgeous Peek

I’m sharing a new sneak peek from the upcoming 2017-2018 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog.  I created a birthday card from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous Bundle. Here is a shot from a board at OnStage Savannah.

Stampin' Up! Happy Birthday Gorgeous

I was able to pre-order this bundle, but not the Foil paper.  Included in the Happy Birthday Gorgeous Bundle is a photopolymer stamp set with 32 images, and the Happy Birthday Thinlets Dies.  The die consists of the words Happy Birthday, in a super fun font!

So, what do you think?  I am also using some of the new Lemon Lime Twist and Berry Burst card stock, both available on June 1st. These two colors are certainly catching my eye these days.

The  TGIFC104 Polka Dot Inspiration Challenge got me in the polka dot mood!

I started with a panel of Floral Affection DSP (retiring) and stamped on the Make A Wish sentiment, from Happy Birthday Gorgeous, in Versa Mark ink. Some White Emboss Powder was sprinkled on top and then heat embossed. The panel was then adhered to a panel of Lemon Lime Twist card stock (available June 1st)

Next, I  die cut a Stitched Shapes square in Whisper White and attached it to a Scalloped Square in Berry Bright card stock.  Happy Birthday, was die cut from a panel of Lemon Lime Twist and adhered to the squares with little dabs of liquid glue.

The balloon image from Happy Birthday Gorgeous, was stamped with Versa Mark ink onto Berry Burst card stock, sprinkled with White Emboss Powder, and heat embossed.  I punched it out with my Balloon Bouquet punch, then cut out the bow and balloon “string” using my Balloon Pop Up Thinlets Dies (retiring).  A Rhinestone Basic Jewel was added to the center of the Berry Burst bow and another added as the dot for the letter ‘i” in Birthday.

Stampin' Up! Happy Birthday Gorgeous-Cardiology by Jari

For the inside, I stamped another sentiment from Happy Birthday Gorgeous and the balloon string in Berry Burst onto a panel of Lemon Lime Twist.  The balloon was stamped also in Berry Burst onto Whisper White and punched with my Balloon Bouquet punch.  A strip of the Floral Boutique DSP was added to the bottom of the panel, then all adhered to the Whisper White card stock base.

A complete list of stamping supplies as well as card stock cuts in inches will be at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Banners Happy Birthday

Today I am sharing a birthday card I created using the Birthday Banners stamp set from Stampin’ Up!

Stampin' Up! Birthday Banners Cardiology by Jari Panels of the Party Animal Designer Series Paper were adhered to a panel of Crushed Curry card stock.  At the point where the papers met, I added a layer of Crushed Curry card stock and wrapped a length of Emerald Envy 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon around it, securing it with small dabs of Liquid Glue and scotch tape on the back side.

Stampin' Up! Birthday Banners Cardiology by Jari

I stamped the candle image from Birthday Banners in Emerald Envy and Crushed Curry on a panel of Whisper White and die cut it with a Layering Oval Framelit.  It was framed with an Emerald Envy scalloped oval.  The ovals were popped onto the front of the card with Dimensionals and I added a small bow created with Emerald Envy Baker’s Twine.  The sentiment and banner were stamped with stamps from Birthday Banners and then die cut with the corresponding banner die.  I popped it on with Dimensionals and added one Metallic Enamel Shape star.

Stampin' Up! Birthday Banners and Bunch of Banners Framelits by Cardiology by Jari

For the inside, I stamped the double banner, from Birthday Banners in Crushed Curry ink and the sentiment in Pacific Point, then used the Bunch of Banners Thinlets die to cut it out. The candle was stamped onto the Whisper White inside panel and the banner adhered with Liquid Glue.

What’s a birthday card without a decorated envelope?  It only takes an extra minute or two and really makes it even more festive.  Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Cool Treats You’re Sweet!

I used the Cool Treats Bundle from Stampin’ Up! to create a You’re Sweet birthday card to share today.

Stampin' Up! Cool Treats You're Sweet by Cardiology by Jari

My card design was inspired by the sketch challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments #259.

HSS#259 sketch challenge

I started by adhering a panel of Tasty Treats Specialty DSP to my Watermelon Wonder card stock base.  Then I created another layered panel with Chocolate Chip card stock and Tasty Treats DSP

Next, I stamped You’re Sweet onto a panel of Whisper White.  You’re was stamped in Chocolate Chip and Sweet was stamped in Watermelon Wonder, making sure I left plenty of room in between the words for another sentiment.  I used the largest Stitched Shapes Square die to cut out the Whisper White panel.  Then I adhered it to a Watermelon Wonder scalloped square from the Layering Squares Framelits.

Stampin' Up! Cool Treats you're Sweet Cardiology by Jari

The thinner banner sentiment was then stamped in Pear Pizzaz and the ends notched with my Banner Triple Punch.  I did the same with the Pear Pizzaz card stock and adhered it to the sentiment panel.  Finally, I stamped two strawberries, a popsicle and chocolate topping, then die cut them using the Frozen Treats Framelits Dies.

Stampin' Up! Cool Treats You're Sweet Cardiology by Jari

Originally, I had planned to add an ice cream cone to the front of the card, but did not like it there, so I added it to the inside of my card.  Both the cone and the ice cream were stamped and die cut with the Frozen Treats Framelits dies. This Cool Treats Bundle is a favorite of mine from the Occasions catalog.  If you order the bundle and the Tasty Treats Specialty DSP, you will qualify for one free gift from the Sale-a-Bration catalog.  Keep in mind though, that March 31st is coming quickly and I would hate for you to miss out on something you have had your eye on.  Don’t wait until the last week to order, or you may be disappointed!  Popular items may already be gone.

A complete list of stamping products for this project as well as card stock cuts will be at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Balloon Adventures

I used the Stampin’ Up! Balloon Adventures Bundle and the Birthday Banners stamp set to create my share for today.  If you’re here from Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Featured Artists, welcome, so glad you stopped by!

Stampin' Up! Balloon Adventures and Birthday Banners by Cardiology by Jari

This card was really quick and easy to put together, I know, because I was under a deadline to get a card done and submitted to Amy, my up-line, by noon yesterday!  Stampin’ Up! has so many fabulous papers to help with the creativity process.  I happened to see a card in the 2017 Occasions Catalog that gave me some inspiration, too.  So, I pulled out my Cupcakes & Carousels DSP, some matching card stock, and put on my thinking cap!

Stampin' Up! Balloon Adventures Bundle and Birthday Banners Cardiology by Jari

I started with a Bermuda Bay card stock base and stamped it with the confetti ribbon image from Balloon Adventures in Bermuda Bay ink.  Next, I took a panel of Peekaboo Peach card stock and dry embossed it with the Lucky Stars Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I pulled out the colorful banner paper from Cupcakes & Carousels DSP and stamped three curly balloon strings from Balloon Adventures in Early Expresso ink.

Stampin' Up! Balloon Adventures and Birthday Banners Cardiology by Jari

The largest balloon and bow were die cut from the new Bermuda Bay Glimmer Paper, using the Balloon Pop Up Thinlets dies.  I created a back for the balloon with a scrap from the opposite side of the Cupcakes & Carousels DSP (banner pattern) using my Balloon Bouquet punch. (Yes, the largest balloon is the same size!)  The two smaller balloons are from the Birthday Banners stamp set.  One is stamped in So Saffron ink onto a panel of Very Vanilla and the other is Calypso Coral stamped onto a panel of Peekaboo Peach.  Both were punched out with the Balloon Bouquet punch.  I stamped the banner and sentiment using stamps from Birthday Banners, and die cut it with a die from the Bunch of Banners Thinlets.

Stampin' Up! Balloon Adventures Bundle and Birthday Banners Cardiology by Jari

For the inside, I punched out another large balloon from the Bermuda Bay Glimmer paper and added another bow.  And, I decided to decorate an envelope flap to go with the card!

It was fun to team up the Stampin’ Up Balloon Adventures Bundle and Birthday Banners to create this really quick and easy birthday card for today.  I hope you enjoy it!

Let’s Celebrate! for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Let's Celebrate

Thanks for joining in on our blog hop for this month!  We have a Celebrate theme, so Let’s Celebrate!  My share is a decorated gift box and matching card using the Here’s To Cheers Stamp set and Cheerful Tags Framelits Dies from Stampin’ Up!

Let's Celebrate

Have you needed a gift box and did not have just the right one, or gone to the store to purchase a gift and the store is out of gift boxes?  Well, that happened to me recently, and that is what inspired me to make my own gift box.  That’s when Stampin’ Up! came to the rescue.  I saw this wonderful tutorial by Donna from Stampin’ Up! on creating your own gift packaging.  I will not write out the steps, you can watch it for yourself right HERE.  Wonderful instructions!

Here are photos of the box un-decorated:

Let's Celebrate

Let's Celebrate

I used the Here’s To Cheers Stamp set to stamp the sentiment in Sweet Sugarplum (this is beginning to be one of my favorite colors!) My Layering Circles Framelits Dies were used to cut out a circle around the sentiment and frame it with a Sweet Sugarplum scalloped circle.  Next, I die cut the Soft Sky tag from the Cheerful Tags Framelits Dies, snipping off the portion normally used to create a bottle tag.  I also used some Silver Foil to die cut the beautiful cut work that is on the tag and adhered it with glue. Finally,  I ran a length of the Sweet Sugarplum 3/8″ Glitter Ribbon through the tag and around the box and adhered it with some Tear & Tape Adhesive.  The bow was added to the other ribbon with glue dots.
Let's Celebrate

I know the box is pretty all by itself, but I really wanted to add a card, so I duplicated the tag and added a little more flair.

Let's Celebrate

For the backdrop on my whisper White Notecard, I stamped the starry image from Star of Light in Soft Sky ink, adding a few extra star images around.  The ribbon was attached with Tear & Tape, then I layered the decorated tag, a Silver Foil doily and the sentiment circles with dimensionals.

And here is the inside of the Let’s Celebrate card:

Let's Celebrate

I stamped the star images from Star of Light in Soft Sky and the Stylized Birthday stamp in Sweet Sugarplum.

A list of card stock cuts and products used in my card and box will be at the end of the post.

Stampin’ Up! Cool Treats Sneak Peek

I’m sharing a sneak peek of Cool Treats from the Occasions 2017 catalog today.  This stamp set and matching Frozen Treats framelits dies are available for purchase on January 4, 2017.  You are going to love this whole suite of products. Cool Treats

My card base is Peekaboo Peach. Next came a layer of Soft Suede card.  The Whisper White panel was stamped with Peekaboo Peach using one of the background stamps from Gorgeous Grunge. I stamped a sentiment from Cool Treats in Soft Suede near the top of the panel. I then adhered this to a panel of Peekaboo Peach from the 2016-2018 In Color DSP stacks.
Cool Treats

The ice cream cones were stamped in Soft Suede ink and cut out.  Then, came the scoops. They were stamped in Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo and Mint Macaron inks. I stamped some sprinkles on a couple of the scoops and stamped some chocolate and a cherry for the other. I cut them out and adhered them to each other and popped them onto the art panel with dimensionals.
Cool TreatsAfter I stamped the sentiment in Soft Suede ink, I stamped several of the sprinkles images in Mint Macaron, Flirty Flamingo and Peekaboo Peach inks.

Card stock cuts in inches and all the products needed to create this card will be at the end of the post.

Stampin’ Up! Stylized Birthday for Sunday Stamps

I’m sharing a birthday card today that was created with the Stylized Birthday stamp and a peek of another new stamp, Dragonfly Dreams, available January 4, 2017!

stylized birthday

My card design was inspired by Sunday Stamps SSC140.  I hope you will check out all of the other cards posted there and play along, too!

SSC140

I started by stamping the Stylized Birthday, Happy Birthday stamp in Soft Sky onto a panel of Very Vanilla card stock. Then, I die cut the panel with a Layering Square Framelits Die, and framed it with the larger scalloped Square Framelits Die, using Blushing Bride card stock.  I added a Sweet Sugarplum butterfly that was die cut with the Butterfly Framelits dies. Some Rhinestone Basic Jewels were added for interest on the butterfly center and on the corner of the panel.

stylized birthday

Are you wondering about that DSP panel with the butterflies?  It is from the new Falling In Love Suite available on January 4th, too!  I have it layered with Crumb Cake card stock.  The long center panel is also from the Falling In Love DSP pack.  I used some of the Very Vanilla 1/2″ Lace Trim on either side of it, and adhered it to the DSP panel with liquid glue.

stylized birthday

Dimensionals were added to the sentiment panel and also the DSP panel before popping them onto the Blushing Bride card stock base.

The sentiment is from the new Dragonfly Dreams stamp set (available January 4th) and was stamped in Soft Sky onto the Very Vanilla panel.  I added two more of the same butterfly shapes, using Sweet Sugarplum and Blushing Bride card stock.  The sides of the panel were trimmed with narrow pieces of the Falling In Love DSP used on the front of my card.

Paisley Birthday for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Hi Stampers, it’s a sketch challenge this week, and I have created a Paisley Birthday card using Paisleys & Posies from Stampin’ Up!

Here is our sketch challenge :

Paisley Birthday sketch

Stampin’ Up! Paisley Birthday from Paisleys & Posies stamp set:

Paisley Birthday

As beautiful as this Petals & Paisleys Spectialty DSP is, it is difficult to photograph!  (At least for me)  The copper and navy really make a statement together, don’t they?

Paisley Birthday

The Petals & Paisleys DSP was adhered to a panel of Copper Foil with glue, then popped onto the Night of Navy card stock base with dimensionals.  Using some Versa Mark ink, I stamped two of the paisley images from Paisleys & Posies onto a scrap of Night of Navy card stock.  Then, I sprinkled them with Copper Emboss powder and heat embossed them. Once cooled, I die cut them with the matching Paisley Framelits Dies.

Paisley Birthday

I pulled out the leaf looking die from the Paisley Framelits and die cut one from the Copper Foil Sheets. Next,  I stamped Happy Birthday from Sunshine Sayings in Versa Mark ink onto a scrap of Night of Navy card stock and also heat embossed it with Copper Emboss powder.  It was cut out with a small Layering Oval Die and glued onto a Copper Foil label I punched with my Deco Label punch. The label and die cuts were popped onto the front with dimensionals.

Paisley Birthday

I used the Celebrate You sentiment from Suite Sayings and stamped it in Night of Navy ink onto a panel of Very Vanilla card stock.  Two strips of the Petals & Paisley Specialty DSP were added to the top and bottom of the sentiment panel.

Paisley Birthday

To  complete my Paisley Birthday card, I stamped the floral image onto a Very Vanilla medium envelope in Night of Navy ink.

Card stock cuts in inches and products used in creating my card are at the end of the post.

Stampin’ Up! Festive Birthday

I’m sharing a festive birthday card today using the Stylized Birthday stamp from Stampin’ Up!  I also got some help from the Festive Birthday Designer Series Paper!

Festive Birthday

I love this fun new Happy Birthday stamp as it is large and has a great font!  It is perfect for making a quick sentiment that packs a lot of punch.

festive birthday

I started by stamping Happy Birthday in Melon Mambo onto a panel of Whisper White, then die cut it using a Layering Square Framelits Die.  Then I made a slightly larger frame for it with Melon Mambo cardstock and a scalloped die from the same set.  They were adhered with liquid glue.

festive birthday

I cut a panel from the Festive Birthday DSP to fit onto the front of the Crushed Curry card base and glued it to the front. Then, I cut a strip of Tempting Turquoise for the narrow band and dry embossed it with the Lucky Stars Textured Embossing Folder.  It was then glued on top of the Festive Birthday panel.  I popped the sentiment panel on with dimensionals and then added the Enamel Shapes.

festive birthday

For the inside, I layered panels of Melon Mambo and Whisper White onto the Crushed Curry base.  Then, I stamped the sentiment from Better Together in Melon Mambo ink.  A thin panel of the same Festive Birthday DSP was added to the bottom, and there you have it, a quick and festive birthday card!

Stampin’ Up! Better Together Birthday

My share for today is a birthday card using Better Together from Stampin’ Up!
Better Together

I haven’t really used much of the Moroccan Designer Series Paper, but thought it looked really festive for a birthday card, and I love all of the coordinating colors you can use with it!  I started with a Very Vanilla card base, then layered several panels on top of it.  I used Gold Foil, Cajun Craze, Dapper Denim and finally, Moroccan DSP.
Better Together

I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from Better Together in Dapper Denim onto a panel of Very Vanilla, then used a Layering Circle Die to cut it out.  I also stamped one of the star images from Better Together in Delightful Dijon below the sentiment.  The birthday hat was stamped in Dapper Denim and fussy cut with my Paper Snips and added with a dimensional.  Then I cut out two larger layering circles.  One in Cajun Craze and the other in Gold Foil and attached all of them with liquid glue.

Better Together

The top right corner looked a little bare, so I stamped 3 more stars in Delightful Dijon, then decided to die cut some Gold Foil stars to pop on top of the stamped stars for a little more interest.  For the stars, I used my Mini Treat Bag Thinlets dies.

Better Together

For the inside, I used more of the Moroccan DSP on the bottom, then stamped another sentiment and hat from Better Together in Dapper Denim and Delightful Dijon inks.
