Watercolor Words Birthday for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Watercolor Words and Birthday Banners stamp sets from Stampin’ Up! to create my card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop today.

Stampin' Up1 Watercolor Words-Cardiology by Jari

Our sketch

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop Sketch

I started with a panel of Night of Navy card stock that I dry embossed with the Polka Dot Basics Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  Then, I  adhered it to my Whisper White card base with liquid glue.  Next, I adhered a panel of Naturally Eclectic Designer Series paper to a panel of Lemon Lime Twist and popped it onto the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Have you noticed that I really like Lemon Lime Twist?!!

Stampin' Up! Watercolor Words-Cardiology by Jari

Next, I stamped hooray, from Watercolor Words, in VersaMark ink onto a panel of Lemon Lime Twist, sprinkled on White Emboss Powder and heat embossed it till smooth and shiny. For the border that peeks out from the sentiment panel, I cut two scalloped panels from Night of Navy using the die from the Seasonal Layers Framelits.  They were adhered to the back of the sentiment panel with liquid glue and then to the DSP panel with more glue.  I stamped the banner and sentiment from Birthday Banners in Night of Navy and cut it with the small die from the Bunch of Banners dies.

Stampin' Up! Watercolor Words-Cardiology by Jari

I stamped the balloon image from Birthday Banners once in Night of Navy and once in Lemon Lime Twist and punched them out with my Balloon Bouquet Punch.  Then, I drew some balloon strings with my Night of Navy marker and tied a length of Whisper White Baker’s Twine around a length of Silver Mini Sequin Trim and made a bow.  It was attached to the balloon with a glue dot and the balloons added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the balloon and then some Metallic Enamel Shapes to the sentiment banner for a little more bling!

Stampin' Up! Watercolor Words-Cardiology by Jari

I pulled out the Stylized Birthday stamp for the inside and stamped it in Night of Navy on the Lemon Lime Twist inside panel.  Don’t you just love how all of the stamps worked together with Watercolor Words to create this fun birthday card for today?

A complete list of stamping supplies and card stock cuts are at the end of my post.

Happy Birthday Gorgeous Bundle for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

The Happy Birthday Gorgeous Bundle from the 2017 Annual Catalog has really been a favorite of mine.  So, I pulled it out again for the card I am sharing with you today.

Happy Birthday Gorgeous Bundle-Cardiology by Jari

And here is the color challenge:

Happy Inkin thursday color challenge-Happy Birthday Gorgeous bundle

I have to be honest with you, I really struggled with these colors this week, even though Stampin’ Up! has provided Designer Series Paper to match our challenge!  I tend to go for more bold colors in my projects!

I started by adhering a panel of Vellum to the Soft Sky Bundle of Love Specialty Designer Series Paper with a little liquid glue in the center of the panel.  I knew it would be covered by my other elements and the glue would not show!  Then I adhered that panel to a panel of Soft Sky card stock with liquid glue.

Happy Birthday Gorgeous Bundle-Cardiology by Jari

Next, I punched a strip of Blushing Bride and one of the Fabulous Foil DSP with my Scalloped Tag Topper Punch and adhered them in the center with a little liquid glue.  Once again, I knew the glue would not show.  I wrapped a length of Gold 3/8″ Metallic-Edge Ribbon around the Soft Sky panel and through the tag and tied a bow, securing it to the back with a little tape and popped it onto my Very Vanilla Thick card stock base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Happy Birthday Gorgeous Bundle-Cardiology by Jari

The stamping came next, first with the sentiment from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous Bundle in VersaMark ink, embossed with Gold Emboss Powder and heat embossed.  The sentiment was die cut with an oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies and matted to a little larger Gold Foil scalloped oval from the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies.  The flower images from Happy Birthday Gorgeous were stamped in Blushing Bride and Soft Sky and the leaves in Lemon Lime Twist.  All were fussy cut with my Paper Snips, then added with liquid glue and dimensionals.  A banner was created using a Blushing Bride pattern from the Bundle of Love DSP and my Banner Triple Punch.  The banner was adhered to the sentiment oval and then popped onto the front of the card with dimensionals.  Three enamel shapes finished off the front.

Happy Birthday Gorgeous Bundle-Cardiology by Jari

I wanted you to see the inside closely, so I turned it sideways!  I used the Happy Birthday Thinlets, which are part of the Happy Birthday Bundle, to die cut a Blushing Bride and Gold Foil sentiment.  I offset them slightly so that the Blushing Bride showed a little and glued them carefully with small dots of liquid glue.  I waited just a little and adhered them so that the glue would not smash and seep out because it dries shiny and doesn’t look nice on your finished project!  More of my fussy cut flowers and a strip of the same DSP used in my banner were added to the Very Vanilla inside panel before gluing it to my card base.  Enjoy!

A complete list of stamping supplies and card stock cuts are at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Petal Garden for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Time for another sketch challenge, and I took advantage of the beautiful Petal Garden Designer Series paper by Stampin’ Up! to create my card for today.

Stampin' Up! Petal Garden-Cardiology by Jari

And, here is our sketch:

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I think this Petal Garden Designer Series Paper is just perfect for our sketch this week.  Beautiful results with very little work!  A panel of Rich Razzleberry card stock and the Petal Garden DSP were adhered at an angle and then popped onto the Pool Party card stock base with some Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Petal Garden-Cardiology by Jari

The sentiment is from the Birthday Blooms stamp set and was stamped in VersaMark ink and heat embossed with Gold Emboss powder.  I used the die from the Lovely Laurels Thinlets to create the label.  The Sweet Sugarplum banner was punched on one end with the Banner Triple Punch.  I cut a length of the Old Olive 1/8″ Sheer Ribbon and wound it in an S pattern, secured it with some Glue Dots and popped the label over it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  On to the inside panel.

Stampin' Up! Petal Garden-Cardiology by Jari

The large rose image stamp from the Birthday Blooms stamp set resembles the rose buds on the front of the card, so I decided to use a part of it for the lower corner.  I used the ink to rubber method, where I used Stampin’ Write Markers to color the stamp, then huffed on it a few times to create some more moisture and stamped.  More of the Old Olive ribbon was adhered with little dabs of Liquid Multipurpose Glue and finally, an inside sentiment was added.  It is also found in the Birthday Blooms set.

A complete list of stamping supplies and card stock cuts will be at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Memories and Better Together

I used the Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper and the Better Together stamp set from Stampin’ Up! to create the card I am sharing today.

Stampin' Up! Birthday Memories-Cardiology by Jari

My color choices were inspired by the challenge at Stamp Ink Paper this week  SIP#110

SIP#110

And, I ‘m also playing along with The Paper Players Tic Tac Toe Challenge #355.  I chose the diagonal birthday, enamel dots and blue.

Paper Players #355

I started by adhering a panel of the Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper to a panel of Real Red card stock, off setting them a little.  Once they were together, I adhered them to the Pacific Point card stock base.  I used another panel of the Birthday Memories DSP to create a banner with my Banner Triple Punch.  It was also adhered to the card front over the angled layers.

Stampin' Up! Birthday Memories-Cardiology by Jari

Next, I stamped Happy Birthday, from Better Together, and die cut it with a Stitched Shapes oval die.  The oval was adhered to a little larger scalloped oval from the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies.  I cut a length of the new Pacific Point 1/4″ Stitched Ribbon and adhered it to the card front with several Glue Dots and popped the sentiment oval onto the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Birthday Memories-Cardiology by Jari

I fussy cut the Fox, Turtle and Squirrel images from the Birthday Memories DSP and popped them onto the front with dimensionals.  Then, I cut out one of the birthday presents and glued it next to the sentiment and then popped the oval onto the front with dimensionals.  The last step was to add one Pacific Point enamel shape heart and I moved on to the inside.

Stampin' Up! Birthday Memories-Cardiology by Jari

I stamped one more of the sentiments from Better Together in Real Red to the left of the center of the Whisper White panel so that i could add one more fussy cut image to the bottom corner. Very minimal stamping today, but the Birthday Memories DSP really helps to create a fun and whimsical birthday card!

A complete list of stamping supplies and card stock cuts in inches will be at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Happy Birthday Gorgeous

Yea, the weekend is here! Hope you have some fun things planned.  I used the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set from Stampin’ Up! to create my card for today.

Stampin' Up! Happy Birthday Gorgeous-Cardiology by Jari

The inspiration for my card sketch is from Fab Friday #117

FabFri117

I started by adhering a panel from the Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper to a panel of Soft Sky, then popped it onto the Whisper White Thick card stock front with Stampin’  Dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Happy Birthday Gorgeous-Cardiology by Jari

Next, I stamped several flower images from Happy Birthday Gorgeous in Berry Burst ink onto Whisper White.  The leaves were stamped in Lemon Lime Twist, then I used my Paper Snips to cut all of the leaves and flowers out.  I cut the largest oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits in Whisper White and stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment in Berry Burst ink.  Then, I cut a little larger scalloped oval from the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies in Soft Sky and matted my sentiment oval.

Stampin' Up! Happy Birthday Gorgeous-Cardiology by Jari

Next, I inked up the banner image from Happy Birthday Gorgeous in VersaMark ink, sprinkled on White Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I inked up you look gorgeous, again with VersaMark, and stamped in the center of the small banner, added White Emboss Powder and heated it once more.  It was then fussy cut with my Paper Snips  The flowers, leaves and banner were all arranged on the oval and adhered with liquid glue and some Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I cut a small length of the Silver Mini Sequin Trim, adhered it to the card front with some glue dots, then popped the sentiment panel on with dimensionals.  The final touch was to add three Rhinestone Basic Jewels for a little bling.

Stampin' Up! Happy Birthday Gorgeous-Cardiology by Jari

A strip of the Naturally Eclectic DSP was adhered to a panel of Whisper White and the flowers were added with some liquid glue before I adhered the whole panel to the base with more liquid glue.  Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Whole Lot of Lovely Birthday Blooms

Hi Stampers!   I combined the beautiful Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper with the Birthday Blooms stamp set from Stampin’ Up!  to create my card to share for today.  This DSP creates a lovely birthday card, don’t you think?

Lovely Birthday-Cardiology by Jari

The inspiration for my card is from Stamp Ink Paper Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge #107.  I chose the center vertical row for my card. Die cut, embossing and black.

Lovely Birthday for SIP #107

I started by adhering a panel of Whole Lot of Lovely DSP to a panel of Gold Foil with liquid glue.  Next, I wrapped a length of Peekaboo Peach 5/8″ Crinkled Ribbon around the panel and tied a bow.  I secured it to the back with a little tape.  I stamped the sentiment from Birthday Blooms in VersaMark ink onto Whisper White card stock, sprinkled it with Gold Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  The sentiment was cut with an oval Stitched Shapes Framelits Die and framed with a little larger oval from the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies.

Lovely Birthday-Cardiology by Jari

Next, I stamped the small flower image from Birthday Blooms in Tangerine Tango ink and fussy cut it with my Paper Snips.  It was adhered directly to the sentiment oval with some liquid glue.

Lovely Birthday-Cardiology by Jari

A panel of Basic Black card stock was adhered to a panel of Pool Party and then adhered to the front of the Basic Black card stock base with liquid glue.  The DSP panel was then popped onto the front with dimensionals.  I adhered a few glue dots to the back of the sentiment oval to secure some loops of Gold Metallic Thread and then popped it onto the front with dimensionals.  Three Metallic Enamel Shapes were added for a little bling.

A complete list of card stock cuts and stamping supplies needed to create my Whole Lot of Lovely Birthday card will be at the end of the post.

Stampin’ Up! Great Big Greetings for the 4th of July

Hello, Stamping Friends, I hope your Independence Day is going to be fun filled!  My share today is from the new Great Big Greetings stamp set found on page 67 of the 2017-18 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog.  I love large greetings for the front of my cards, and this stamp set is especially fun.

Stampin' Up! Great Big Greetings-Cardiology by Jari

My card base is Night of Navy. A panel of Silver Foil was dry embossed with the new Oh My Stars Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and matted to a panel of Real Red with multipurpose liquid glue.

I stamped the sentiment from Great Big Greetings in Real Red, then stamped it again in Night of Navy and cut out the small words and notched each end for a banner to pop onto the front.  The sentiment panel was framed in Night of Navy and Real Red, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  A Real Red Enamel Shape star was added to complete the front.

Stampin' Up! Great Big Greetings-Cardiology by Jari

For the inside, I stamped the splotches from Touches of Texture in Night of Navy and Real Red onto the Whisper White panel.  Next, I stamped the sentiment from Watercolor Words in Versa Mark ink, sprinkled it with Silver Emboss powder and heat embossed it.  Silver Sequins and Silver Metallic Enamel Shape Stars completed the festive look.

I think Great Big Greetings works well for this occasion, but would also work for birthdays and any other festive celebration, how about you?

Card stock cuts and a supply list will be at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Happy Birthday Gorgeous for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Inkin’ Thursday, everyone!  I am sharing a card created with one of the new stamps sets called Happy Birthday Gorgeous, from the 2017-2018 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog that goes live today!  Can you believe it is June 1st?  I know there are a lot of happy people out there who have been waiting (not so patiently, I bet) to place an order.  So glad you joined us, we are all excited, too!

Stampin' Up! Happy Birthday Gorgeous-Cardiology by Jari

Our challenge this week was to use the following colors:

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

The inspiration for my sketch is from Hand Stamped Sentiments HSS #265

Hand Stamped Sentiments #265

My card base is Old Olive with a panel of Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper adhered to the left side with some liquid glue.  Aren’t you glad you can order this paper today?  Ordering begins after 12:00 Mountain Time.  Yay!

I stamped a panel of Whisper White card stock with the splatter stamp from Touches of Texture in Old Olive ink.  I wanted it to be a subtle color, so I stamped off twice on scrap paper.

Stampin' Up! Happy Birthday Gorgeous-Cardiology by Jari

Next, I stamped the flower pods and stems in Rich Razzleberry, then the leaves in Old Olive. The flowers in Happy Birthday Gorgeous are 2-step stamps, so I stamped first in Rich Razzleberry.  The second stamping was in Pool Party that had been stamped off twice.  I fussy cut all of the flower heads and set them aside.  Then, I inked up the sentiment in Rich Razzleberry and stamped it on the bottom of my art panel.  The art panel was framed with a panel of Old Olive card stock

Stampin' Up! Happy Birthday Gorgeous-Cardiology by Jari

The small flowers were adhered to the art panel with some liquid glue, and then the larger ones added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Several  Pearls were added for a little bling, and the whole art panel popped onto the front with Dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Happy Birthday Gorgeous-Cardiology by Jari

My original plan was to add the Happy Birthday sentiment to the front of the card, but I wasn’t happy with that, so I decided to add it and some of the flowers to the inside.

A complete list of supplies as well as card stock cuts for my Happy Birthday Gorgeous birthday card will be at the end of the post.

Stampin’ Up! Sweet Cupcake Happy Birthday

I’m sharing a Stampin’ Up! Sweet Cupcake happy birthday card with you today.

Stampin' Up! Sweet Cupcake happy birthday-Cardiology by Jari

My  sketch was inspired by the CTS#219 Challenge this week

CTS #219

And, the colors were inspired by Just Add Ink #357 “Colour”Just Add Ink #357

I started with a panel of Canson Cold Press Watercolor paper, an Aqua Painter, Sweet Sugarplum, Rich Razzleberry and Sahara Sand inks.  I wet the paper in the center and then “painted” some Sahara Sand first.  Next, I added some Sweet Sugarplum ink above the dry Sahara Sand area.  Finally, I picked up a little Rich Razzleberry ink with the Aqua painter and blended it with the Sweet Sugarplum and set it aside to dry.

Stampin' Up! Sweet Cupcake Happy Birthday-Cardiology by Jari

When the watercolored panel was completely dry, I stamped the dotted stamp from Sweet Cupcake in Rich Razzleberry ink, some full strength and some stamped off once.  The cupcake paper was stamped in Sahara Sand ink and the actual cake part was stamped first in Sweet Sugarplum, then Rich Razzleberry that had been stamped off once, and the 3rd layer in Sweet Sugarplum that had been stamped off once.

Stampin' Up! Sweet Cupcake Happy Birthday-Cardiology by Jari

The swirly line on my Sweet Cupcake happy birthday card was die cut in Island Indigo using the Cupcake Cutouts Framelits Dies.  If you do not have this set, now is the time to buy it as a bundle, because it will not be sold as a bundle in the 2017-2018 Annual Catalog.  You will have to purchase the stamp set and the framelits separately.  My art panel was framed in Sweet Sugarplum, then was popped onto the Rich Razzleberry card stock base with dimensionals.  After stamping the sentiment, I used a die from Bunch of Banners to cut it out and the cupcake and banner were added  with dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Sweet Cupcake Happy birthday-Cardiology by Jari

What’s a Sweet Cupcake Happy Birthday Card without a candle?  I cut out the candle and WISH, using the Cupcake Cutouts Framelits once again.

A complete list of stamping supplies needed to create this card will be at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Happy Birthday Gorgeous Peek

I’m sharing a new sneak peek from the upcoming 2017-2018 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog.  I created a birthday card from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous Bundle. Here is a shot from a board at OnStage Savannah.

Stampin' Up! Happy Birthday Gorgeous

I was able to pre-order this bundle, but not the Foil paper.  Included in the Happy Birthday Gorgeous Bundle is a photopolymer stamp set with 32 images, and the Happy Birthday Thinlets Dies.  The die consists of the words Happy Birthday, in a super fun font!

Stampin' Up! Happy Birthday Gorgeous-Cardiology by Jari

So, what do you think?  I am also using some of the new Lemon Lime Twist and Berry Burst card stock, both available on June 1st. These two colors are certainly catching my eye these days.

The  TGIFC104 Polka Dot Inspiration Challenge got me in the polka dot mood!

I started with a panel of Floral Affection DSP (retiring) and stamped on the Make A Wish sentiment, from Happy Birthday Gorgeous, in Versa Mark ink. Some White Emboss Powder was sprinkled on top and then heat embossed. The panel was then adhered to a panel of Lemon Lime Twist card stock (available June 1st)

Stampin' Up! Happy Birthday Gorgeous-Cardiology by Jari

Next, I  die cut a Stitched Shapes square in Whisper White and attached it to a Scalloped Square in Berry Bright card stock.  Happy Birthday, was die cut from a panel of Lemon Lime Twist and adhered to the squares with little dabs of liquid glue.

Stampin' Up! Happy Birthday Gorgeous-Cardiology by Jari

The balloon image from Happy Birthday Gorgeous, was stamped with Versa Mark ink onto Berry Burst card stock, sprinkled with White Emboss Powder, and heat embossed.  I punched it out with my Balloon Bouquet punch, then cut out the bow and balloon “string” using my Balloon Pop Up Thinlets Dies (retiring).  A Rhinestone Basic Jewel was added to the center of the Berry Burst bow and another added as the dot for the letter ‘i” in Birthday.

Stampin' Up! Happy Birthday Gorgeous-Cardiology by Jari

For the inside, I stamped another sentiment from Happy Birthday Gorgeous and the balloon string in Berry Burst onto a panel of Lemon Lime Twist.  The balloon was stamped also in Berry Burst onto Whisper White and punched with my Balloon Bouquet punch.  A strip of the Floral Boutique DSP was added to the bottom of the panel, then all adhered to the Whisper White card stock base.

A complete list of stamping supplies as well as card stock cuts in inches will be at the end of my post.
