Stampin’ Up! Birthday Blossoms with Blooms & Bliss

Today’s share is a birthday card using Birthday Blossoms and Crazy About You stamps with some beautiful Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper.  This paper is now part of the DSP Buy 3 get 1 Free SALE, now through October 31st.  What a great time to stock up on all of the papers you love!

I started with a floral pattern from Blooms & Bliss DSP and adhered a coordinating Blooms & Bliss panel to it with liquid glue.  Then, I adhered that panel to some Rich Razzleberry card stock with more liquid glue.  I cut a piece of Mint Macaron 3/8″ Sheer Linen Ribbon and adhered it with Tear & Tape adhesive, making sure that it was also secured to the back.  This new panel was then popped onto the Mint Macaron card stock base with dimensionals.

Next, I stamped the sentiment from Birthday Blossoms in Rich Razzleberry onto a panel of Sahara Sand card stock.  I chose a flower from the Crazy About You set and stamped it off once onto a scrap paper before stamping it onto my Whisper White card stock.  I then fussy cut it out with Paper Snips.  The center of the flower is from a die found in the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies and was popped onto the flower center with a small piece of dimensional.  I used the leaf die from the Rose Garden Thinlets Dies and cut one set of leaves in Mint Macaron card stock. The flower and leaves were added to the front of the sentiment panel with dimensionals.

Blooms & Bliss

For the inside, I chose another sentiment from Birthday Blossoms and stamped it in Rich Razzleberry ink onto a panel of Whisper White.  I used some of the left over Rich Razzleberry DSP that I had used on the front for the bottom.

Since this was a requested birthday card for a co-worker to give to a daughter-in-law, I decided to add some more of the Blooms & Bliss paper to the back of the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Blossoms Drapery Fold Card

My share for this Tuesday is a Drapery Fold card using the Birthday Blossoms stamp set from Stampin’ Up! I have seen these all over social media and just had to try it. Wow, it is easy and fun!

Drapery Fold

I used a 12 X 12 sheet of Birthday Bouquet DSP that was trimmed to 4 x 11 1/2 and then scored and folded.  Here is a tutorial for you. There are plenty of examples out there!

I love this DSP and will be sad to see it retire in a few short weeks.  Make sure you get it before it is gone!

Drapery Fold

I used a Mint Macaron card base and added a layer of the dotted Birthday Bouquet.  I decided to stamp in Early Expresso ink right on top of that dotted paper.  Not my usual-but thought it would be fun!  The ribbon and bow are also in Early Expresso.  This ribbon is also retiring soon.

And the inside has the same DSP with the sentiment from Birthday Blossoms stamped in Early Expresso ink.

Drapery Fold

The envelope needed some interest, so I used the Envelope Liners Framelits (retiring :() to make a pretty lining.

Stampin' Up! Birthday Blossoms for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Welcome to the Hop!  My share for today’s Happy Stampers Blog Hop is from the Stampin’ Up! Birthday Blossoms stamp set.

Stampin' Up! Birthday Blossoms

And, here is the sketch we are working with this week:

Happy Stampers Blog Hop

I love the Birthday Blooms stamp set and decided to pair it with some English Garden Designer Series Paper.  There are so many fun colors to work with in this set of papers.  And, they make me think of spring!  We have had a little hint of spring the last few days in Georgia, and it has been so nice to enjoy the warmer days and buds of flowers appearing!

I decided to decorate the inside with one of the flower images from Stampin’ Up! Birthday Blossoms, too.
