Jari Francis, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

Stampin’ Up! Moon Baby Hello

Happy Friday!  I am sharing a Hello Baby card today that I created using the Moon Baby stamp set from Stampin’ Up!

Stampin' Up! Moon Baby-Cardiology by Jari

I started with a panel of the new Bundle of Love Designer Series paper and adhered it to a panel of Soft Sky card stock, then popped it onto the Very Vanilla Thick card stock base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Next, I chose another panel of the Bundle of Love paper and framed it with Very Vanilla card stock, then glued it to the center of the card front with liquid glue.  Then, I cut a length of Soft Sky 3/8″ Classic Weave ribbon, notched either end and adhered it to the center with Tear & Tape Adhesive.

I stamped the baby and moon image from Moon Baby in Basic Black Archival ink onto a panel of water color paper, then used my Aqua Painters to color it in.  The colors used were Daffodil Delight, Soft Sky, Soft Suede and Powder Pink.  Once completely dry, I fussy cut  it out with Paper Snips.

My next step was to stamp the sentiment and stars from Moon Baby onto a Stitched Shapes circle I die cut from more water color paper.  The stars were water colored with Daffodil Delight ink and dabbed with some clear Wink of Stella to make them shine.  I cut out a scalloped circle from the Layering Circle Framelits dies and adhered it to the sentiment circle, then added the baby image with dimensionals.  Finally, the whole art panel was adhered to the center front of the card with dimensionals, and the front was completed.

The inside sentiment was stamped in Basic Black Archival ink onto a panel of Very Vanilla which was adhered to a panel of Soft Sky  and then to the card base.  I wanted some different stars for the inside, so I pulled out one of the dies from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlets and cut some from Daffodil Delight paper.  They were brushed with clear Wink of Stella, then adhered with some liquid glue.

A complete list of stamping supplies and card stock cuts in inches will be at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Moon Baby for FMS#276

Happy Saturday.  I hope your weekend is going well, maybe you’re even enjoying some pre-spring weather where you are!  I used the Moon Baby stamp set from the Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog for my card for today.

Stampin' Up! Moon Baby

The inspiration for my design is from Freshly Made Sketches, FMS#276. Make sure to check out all of the great projects over there and try your hand at the sketch.

FMS#276

I started with a panel of Watercolor paper and stamped the baby image from Moon Baby in Basic Black Archival ink. Then, using my Aqua Painter, I carefully colored in the baby;s sleeper with Pool Party ink.  I cleaned the brush and added just a little smudge of Pink Pirouette ink to the baby’s cheeks.  I stamped the umbrella top again onto a panel of A Little Foxy DSP in Basic Black so that I could fussy cut it out and adhere it to the actual umbrella.  This is called paper piecing.

Stampin' Up! Moon Baby

When the art panel was dry, I cut it out with the largest Stitched Shapes Framelits Oval Die, then framed it with a scalloped oval from the Ovals Framelits Dies.  Hello Baby was stamped with Basic Black Archival ink onto Whisper White card stock, then I used one of the smallest Tags & Labels Framelits to die cut it.  The Pool Party frame for the sentiment is also from the Tags & Labels Framelits.

Stampin' Up! Moon Baby

My card base is Pool Party.  I adhered the Smoky Slate raindrop pattern from A Little Foxy DSP to a panel of Smoky Slate card stock, then to the zig-zag patterned panel from A Little Foxy.  I wrapped a length of Pool Party 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon around the two panels, secured it to the back with tape and tied a small bow.  Then, I popped it onto the base with Dimensionals.  The sentiment panel and the art panel were also added with Dimensionals.  A Pool Party enamel shape was the last touch to the front.

Stampin' Up! Moon Baby

My sentiment is also from Moon Baby, and was stamped in Basic Black Archival ink onto my Whisper White panel.  More of the zig-zag patterned paper was added the bottom to carry over the theme from the front.

A complete list of supplies for my Moon Baby card and card stock cuts in inches will be at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Cookie Cutter Bear for the Happy Stampers

Happy Stampers Blog Hop

My share for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop uses the Cookie Cutter Bear from the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set. I am happy this set has images that can be used for more than just Christmas cards.  And, that it is not retiring with the Holiday Catalog!

Bear

This week, we were challenged to use Smoky Slate, Calypso Coral and Pool Party as our colors.

Happy Stampers Bear

I started by adhering a panel of A Little Foxy Designer Series Paper to a little larger panel of Pool Party card stock with glue.  Next, I stamped the Cookie Cutter bear image from Cookie Cutter Christmas onto a panel of Whisper White, using Smoky Slate ink.  For the eyes, nose, and mouth, I used Basic Black Archival ink.  I punched out the bear with my Cookie Cutter Builder Punch.  **See note at the end of the post concerning the stamp set and punch bundle.  the bear’s bow tie was stamped first with Calypso Coral ink, then punched with the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch

Bear

I created some frames with my Layering Squares Framelits Dies and some Calypso Coral, Whisper White and Pool Party card stock.  The bear was adhered to the center of the Whisper White square and it and the other frame were adhered to the front of the card.  This whole panel was adhered to the Smoky Slate card stock base with dimensionals. I used a sentiment from Suite Sayings and stamped it with Basic Black Archival ink onto t panel of Smoky Slate. The banner was then cut using Bunch of Banners Framelits Dies.

Beat

For the inside of the card, I fussy cut the banners from another panel of A Little Foxy DSP and adhered it with glue to the top of my Whisper White panel.  The sentiment is from Sunshine Sayings and is stamped in Basic Black Archival ink.

You will find a complete list of supplies and card stock cuts at the end of my post.

And now, its time to hop along to see what Kristi has created for us today!
