Let’s Celebrate! for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Let's Celebrate

Thanks for joining in on our blog hop for this month!  We have a Celebrate theme, so Let’s Celebrate!  My share is a decorated gift box and matching card using the Here’s To Cheers Stamp set and Cheerful Tags Framelits Dies from Stampin’ Up!

Let's Celebrate

Have you needed a gift box and did not have just the right one, or gone to the store to purchase a gift and the store is out of gift boxes?  Well, that happened to me recently, and that is what inspired me to make my own gift box.  That’s when Stampin’ Up! came to the rescue.  I saw this wonderful tutorial by Donna from Stampin’ Up! on creating your own gift packaging.  I will not write out the steps, you can watch it for yourself right HERE.  Wonderful instructions!

Here are photos of the box un-decorated:

Let's Celebrate

Let's Celebrate

I used the Here’s To Cheers Stamp set to stamp the sentiment in Sweet Sugarplum (this is beginning to be one of my favorite colors!) My Layering Circles Framelits Dies were used to cut out a circle around the sentiment and frame it with a Sweet Sugarplum scalloped circle.  Next, I die cut the Soft Sky tag from the Cheerful Tags Framelits Dies, snipping off the portion normally used to create a bottle tag.  I also used some Silver Foil to die cut the beautiful cut work that is on the tag and adhered it with glue. Finally,  I ran a length of the Sweet Sugarplum 3/8″ Glitter Ribbon through the tag and around the box and adhered it with some Tear & Tape Adhesive.  The bow was added to the other ribbon with glue dots.
Let's Celebrate

I know the box is pretty all by itself, but I really wanted to add a card, so I duplicated the tag and added a little more flair.

Let's Celebrate

For the backdrop on my whisper White Notecard, I stamped the starry image from Star of Light in Soft Sky ink, adding a few extra star images around.  The ribbon was attached with Tear & Tape, then I layered the decorated tag, a Silver Foil doily and the sentiment circles with dimensionals.

And here is the inside of the Let’s Celebrate card:

Let's Celebrate

I stamped the star images from Star of Light in Soft Sky and the Stylized Birthday stamp in Sweet Sugarplum.

A list of card stock cuts and products used in my card and box will be at the end of the post.

Stampin’ Up! Cookie Cutter Christmas Winter Holiday Blog Hop

Winter Holiday

Welcome to our Winter Holiday Blog Hop featuring Amy’s Inkin’ Krew.  We are a group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators who have Amy, from Stamp With Amy K, as our fabulous upline!  Our theme for this hop was to create a project for a winter holiday-which could be one of several occasions.  I chose to create a card for Christmas with lots of snow!

winter holiday

The “ground” was stamped first, using the stamp from Thoughtful Branches, which was originally meant as stems for the flower heads in that stamp set.  Then, I added the sentiment from Cookie Cutter Christmas.  Both are stamped in Soft Suede ink.  The panel was then dry embossed using the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and adhered to a panel of Real Red card stock with liquid glue.

winter holiday

The next step was to create an igloo, so I took a panel of Whisper White Thick card stock and first dry embossed it with the Brick Wall TIEF.  Then, using two ovals from the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies, cut out an igloo shape.  I pulled out my Clear Wink of Stella and colored the outer oval and the “block” edges to make it glisten.  (Wish it would show up in the photo!)  The igloo was popped onto the front with dimensionals.

My Eskimo boy was stamped in Soft Suede onto a panel of Whisper White Thick card stock and punched out with the coordinating Cookie Cutter Builder Punch.  Then, I used a Blender Pen and colored his outfit with Real Red, Cucumber Crush, Soft Suede and Soft Sky inks.  He is popped onto the front with dimensionals, too.  This whole art panel was then popped onto the Cucumber Crush card base with dimensionals.  I added a gold Metallic Enamel Shape star to the top of one of the trees for interest.

I repeated one of the trees from the front of the card for the inside in Cucumber Crush ink.  The sentiment, from Cookie Cutter Christmas, is stamped in Soft Suede ink.  I layered this Whisper White panel onto a panel of Real Red and then attached them to the inside with liquid glue.  Another star from the Metallic Enamel Shapes was added to the top of the tree.

Card stock cuts and products used in creating my card are at the end of the post.

Fall for Petals & Paisleys

Amy's Inkin' Krew Blog Hop

Thanks for stopping by for our Fall/Halloween Blog Hop!  I decided to create a Fall card using the Paisleys and Posies stamp set and the Paisley Framelits Dies Bundle for my share today. We are finally getting some beautiful fall weather and I know the leaves will be changing soon.  This Petals & Paisleys Designer Series Paper reminds me of those Fall leaves!

Fall

This card came together very quickly, too!  I started with  a Delightful Dijon card base, and layered a panel of Mint Macaron card stock on top with liquid glue.  Next, I cut a panel of the beautiful Petals & Paisleys Designer Series Paper and layered it onto a little larger panel of Very Vanilla.  Then it was time for some stamping and die cutting!

Fall

I inked up the sentiment from Paisleys & Posies in Versa Mark onto a panel of Very Vanilla, and sprinkled it with Gold Embossing Powder, then heat embossed it. It is die cut with a Layering Oval Die, then framed with a little larger Mint Macaron scalloped Oval Die.  I pulled out some Gold Foil card stock and the “leaf” shaped die from the Paisley Framelits Dies and die cut 2.  Burlap Ribbon was adhered to the DSP layers with Tear & Tape adhesive, then I popped that layer onto the card base.  Some Delightful Dijon and Mint Macaron 3/8″ Ribbon and Gold Sequin Trim are tied to the leaves with Gold Baker’s Twine and attached to the sentiment and then popped onto the front with dimensionals.

Fall

The inside sentiment is also from Paisleys & Posies and again, stamped in Versa Mark ink and Gold Embossing Powder.  A strip of Gold Foil lines the strip of Petals & Paisleys Specialty DSP  at the bottom of the Very Vanilla inside panel.

Supplies will be listed at the bottom of my post.

Last Blast of Summer for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew

Amy's Inkin' Krew

Welcome to our Last Blast of Summer Blog Hop from Amy’s Inkin’ Krew!  If you live in the south, you know we have a while to go until summer is officially over, but if you have children in school already, then SUMMER IS OVER!!  I love the beach, so I had fun making this card and dreaming of my last blast of summer coming up soon….

Last Blast of Summer

I started by stamping the beach umbrella from Weather Together in Bay and Daffodil Delight onto a panel of Whisper White Thick card stock, then die cut them with the coordinating Umbrella Weather Framelits.  I also die cut the trim for the umbrella from that same set in Daffodil Delight and adhered it with liquid glue.  Next, I die cut Sunshine from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlets three times in Gold Foil and carefully glued them together with liquid glue. I die cut two of the Swirly shapes for my sun image from Swirly Scribbles

Last Blast of Summer

I just love the Serene Scenery DSP, especially the one I chose for the background for this Last Blast of Summer card!  I used the ground image from Sheltering Tree to stamp a little more sand in Crumb Cake ink for the umbrella to rest in.  So that it was not too dark, I stamped off once on scrap paper, then onto the DSP.   The Shell and Starfish images from Seaside Shore, are also stamped in Crumb Cake, but full strength and then fussy cut with my Paper Snips.

Last Blast of Summer

My swirly sun, the starfish, and Sunshine were adhered with liquid glue, the umbrella and shell with dimensionals. this panel is framed with a panel of Bermuda Bay, then popped onto the Crumb Cake card base with dimensionals.

Last Blast of Summer

The sentiment for the inside of the card is from Sunshine Sayings and is stamped in Bermuda Bay.  For the bottom of the card, I created a little more beach sand with more Crumb Cake ink using the same ground image as from the front, and added more starfish and a shell.  The Very Vanilla panel is framed in Bermuda Bay.

So, what will you do for your Last Blast of Summer?   I am headed to the beach in a few days, YEA!!

Card stock cuts in inches and Stampin’ Up! Products used will be at the end of my post.
