Calendar Easel Card for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Amy's Inkin' Krew Team Blog Hop

Welcome! Our theme this month is Celebrate, which gives us all a lot of wiggle room.  I created a Calendar Easel Card because in just a few short days we will celebrate a new year!

Stampin' Up! Calendar Easel Card-CardiologybyJari

Kelly Acheson has created a great tutorial on Splitcoaststampers for a Calendar Easel Card and it includes a link for the calendar pages, too!  For this Calendar Easel Card, I used the Petal Palette Bundle from the upcoming 2018 Occasions Catalog.  My card base is Basic Black with layers of Pool Party and Petal Passion DSP(available January 3rd)

I stamped the floral and bird images from the Petal Palette stamp set in Memento Black ink and colored them in with my Pool Party, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers.  They were die cut with the Petals & More Thinlets Dies.  The sentiment was stamped in Memento Black onto Vellum card stock  and also die cut with one of the dies from the set.

Here is a side shot, and you see that it will fold flat to be mailed in a regular A2 envelope.  Isn’t that cool?

Stampin' Up! Calendar Easel Card-CardiologybyJari

The back was decorated also with another little bird and a branch from the Petals & More Thinlets Dies.  The sentiment was also stamped in Memento Black ink.

Stampin' Up! Calendar Easel Card-CardiologybyJari

I added extra layers than in the tutorial on Splitcoaststampers, so you will find the card stock cuts near the end of my post.  We hope you enjoy your time hopping around to see what everyone has created.  Just click one of the icons below to advance forward or backward.  Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Good Tidings for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Hop

Amy's Inkin' Krew Team Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Good Tidings stamp set to create a card for our Merry Christmas themed blog hop for this month.

Stampin' Up! Good Tidings-Cardiology by Jari

Good Tidings is such a beautiful stamp set with an awesome focal sentiment, don’t you think?  One of my team members featured this stamp set in a recent blog hop we did together and her colors inspired me when I was creating this card.  See Kristi’s card HERE.

I love the green, black and red colors Stampin’ Up! chose for Christmas cards this year.  Stamp the holly leaf solid image in Old Olive, then stamp the second detail stamp in Basic Black.  Stamp the solid berries in Real Red, then stamp the second berry image on top in Cherry Cobbler.  The stem was stamped in Early Expresso for both of the images, then I fussy cut the whole thing out with Paper Snips.  Create the smaller holly image using the same basic colors.

(Hint:  stamp onto Whisper White Thick card stock)

Stampin' Up! Good Tidings-Cardiology by Jari

A panel of the Merry Music Specialty DSP was adhered to the front of my Whisper White Thick card stock base.  The largest sentiment from Good Tidings was stamped in Basic Black Archival ink onto a panel of Whisper White, then  the panel was adhered to the front with liquid glue.  I cut one of the Foil Snowflakes in half and also added it with liquid glue.  The large holly image was popped on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  A bow was then created with some of the Old Olive 1/8″ sheer ribbon, Silver Sequin Trim and a small length of Black Baker’s Twine and adhered with a glue dot.

Stampin' Up! Good Tidings-Cardiology by Jari

The inside Whisper White panel was stamped with the smaller sentiment from Good Tidings in Basic Black, then another holly with berries was stamped directly above the sentiment.  Enjoy!

Now, for more of the hop.  We hope you enjoy all of your stops today!

Halloween Fun for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Hop

Amy's Inkin' Krew Team Blog Hop

Ready for some Halloween fun?  Well, that is the theme of our blog hop this month!  Whether you’re just starting the hop here or have already hopped some, I hope you find some inspiration for your own cards today.  We’re so glad you joined us.  I used the Merry Cafe stamp set and the Spooky Night Designer Series paper to help create my Halloween card for today.

Stampin' Up! Merry Cafe Halloween-Cardiology by Jari

I started by adhering a panel of Very Vanilla to a panel of Basic Black, then I added a narrow strip of the Spooky Night DSP with liquid glue.  This center panel was then adhered to panels of Spooky Night DSP and Pumpkin Pie with liquid glue.

Stampin' Up! Merry Cafe Halloween-Cardiology by Jari

Next, I stamped the coffee cup image from Merry Cafe onto a patterned panel from Spooky Night DSP.  The coffee cup lid was stamped onto Pumpkin Pie, then both cup and lid were cut out with the Coffee Cups Framelits.  The spider web was stamped on the cup and then the sentiment onto a Very Vanilla panel.  Once the sentiment was die cut, I used my Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker to add dotted lines around the perimeter and adhered it to the cup.  The lid was adhered with small dots of liquid glue and the whole cup then added to the panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Coffee Cafe Halloween-Cardiology by Jari

I used my Patterned Pumpkins Thinlets Dies to cut out the open pumpkin and the pumpkin peeking out from the inside, then used my Paper Snips to cut out the other pumpkin, jack-o-lanterns, witch’s hat, cat and even the tiny little spider I added to the coffee cup! Once all of the pieces were cut out, I adhered them with liquid glue and dimensionals. Then, I added the little stars from the pumpkin I cut out that you see here on the inside.

Stampin' Up! Merry Cafe-Cardiology by Jari

The inside sentiment is from Glamper Greetings and the hat courtesy of the Spooky Night DSP and my Paper Snips!

A complete list of stamping supplies and card stock cuts are at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! At Home With You for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Hop

Amy's Inkin' Krew Team Blog Hop

Welcome to our Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Fall Frenzy Team Blog Hop for August.  I used the At Home With You Bundle from Stampin’ Up! to create the card I am sharing with you today.

Stampin' Up! At Home With You Bundle-Cardiology by Jari

I have to admit, I don’t think I have ever made a card without a sentiment on the front, so this one is a first for me!  I saw a card on Pinterest that got my attention (see it here) with creating double doors with the At Home With You Bundle, so I decided to try one myself.  With all of the extras on the front, I decided a sentiment would be just too much.  So, what do you think?

I started by dry embossing a Pear Pizzaz panel with the Brick Wall Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I used a sponge dauber and some Soft Suede ink to create some interest on the brick wall.  Then, I matted it with a panel of Soft Suede .  Two doors were stamped in Basic Black Archival ink onto some Wood Textures Designer Series Paper and cut out with the matching At Home Framelits Dies.  Each door window was also die cut at the same time.  The doors were adhered together with some liquid glue and a panel of So Saffron card stock was added to the back to peek through. Then I adhered the doors to the embossed panel with liquid glue.

Stampin' Up! At Home With You Bundle-Cardiology by Jari

I stamped the sunflower and pumpkin stamp images onto water color paper with Basic Black Archival ink and used my Aqua Painters to color them in with Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive inks.  Then,  I stamped the lanterns on more watercolor paper and colored them in with Soft Suede, Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie inks.  When the flowers and lanterns were dry, I die cut them with the corresponding dies from the bundle, then layered everything onto the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! At Home With You-Cardiology by Jari

The inside sentiment is from the Paisleys and Posies stamp set and was stamped on Whisper White with more Soft Suede ink.  That panel was adhered to a panel of Pear Pizzaz and added to the Soft Suede base with liquid glue.

Card stock cuts and stamping supplies needed to create the card will be at the end of my post.

So Many Shells for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Amy's Inkin' Krew Team Blog Hop

My share for today uses the Stampin’ Up! So Many Shells stamp set.  We have a Celebrate Summer theme this month, and shells scream the beach and the beach screams summer to me!  We’re glad you joined us and I hope you’ll take the time to hop around and check out all of the other beautiful creations.

Stampin' Up! So Many Shells-Cardiology by Jari

I started with a water color wash on water color paper using Pool Party and Crumb Cake inks.  Once it was completely dry, I adhered it to a panel of Crumb Cake with liquid glue.  A length of Burlap Ribbon was adhered then with some Tear & Tape Adhesive.

The So Many Shells set has 4 shell images with two-step stamps.  It also has 10 sentiments and you can find it on page 38 of the Annual Catalog.  For the sea urchin and the scallop shell, I used Crumb Cake and Pool Party inks, and for the conch shell, I used Crumb Cake and Powder Pink inks.

Stampin' Up! So Many Shells-Cardiology by Jari

I fussy cut the shells with my Paper Snips, then dry fitted them onto the front to make sure I had room for my sentiment. Next, the sentiment was stamped in Crumb Cake directly onto the art panel.  A length of Linen Ribbon was wound around several times, then secured to the front with Glue Dots and I added the shells with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Three of the lightest Dapper Denim Glitter Enamel Dots were  added for some bling, then the art panel was popped ont the Whisper White card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! So Many Shells-Cardiology by Jari

My inside sentiment was stamped in Crumb Cake onto a Whisper White panel, and then I added a couple more shells from So Many Shells that I had left over.  (I created several when I was playing around with the coloring on the 2-step stamps!)

A complete list of supplies needed to create this card as well as card stock cuts will be at the end of my post.

Next in line is Amy’s blog, have fun hopping around and enjoy all of the projects today!

Stampin’ Up! Suite Sentiments for Father’s Day

Amy's Inkin' Krew Team Blog Hop

Welcome to our Masculine Themed Blog Hop featuring Amy’s Inkin’ Krew!  I’m sharing a Father’s Day Card using the Stampin’ Up! Suite Sentiments stamp set (retiring).

Suite Sentiments for Father's Day-Cardiology by Jari

My card base is Basic Black.  I added a panel of Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate to another panel of Basic Black with very tiny spots of Liquid Glue positioned in the center of the polka dots.  Then added that panel to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Next, I created a banner using some Pop of Pink DSP (retiring) and the retiring Banners Framelits Dies.  The banner was framed on the top and bottom with some Gold Foil DSP, then adhered to the front with liquid glue.

Suite Sentiments for Father's Day-Cardiology by Jari

My Suite Sentiments sentiment was stamped with Versa Mark ink, sprinkled with Gold Emboss Powder and heat embossed on a panel of Whisper White.  I used a Stitched Shapes Framelit Square to cut it out, then framed it with a slightly larger Layering Square Framelit in Gold Foil DSP.

Suite Sentiments for Father's Day-Cardiology by Jari

A strand of Gold Metallic Thread was wound around the back of the sentiment panel and secured with glue dots, then the panel was popped onto the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Suite Sentiments for Father['s Day-Cardiology by Jari

I chose my inside sentiment from 2 different stamp sets. The smaller words are from Thoughtful Banners, and the larger word is from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous (available June 1st).  All were stamped in Versa Mark, sprinkled with Gold Emboss Powder and heat embossed.  I added one Metallic Enamel Shape heart, and then a strip of the same Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate to the bottom.

A list of stamping supplies and card stock cuts for my card will be at the end of the post.

Stampin’ Up! Oh So Succulent for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Amy's Inkin' Krew Team Blog Hop

This month, we have a feminine themed blog hop for you!  I have created a Mother’s Day Card from the Stampin’ Up! Oh So Succulent Bundle to share with you today.

Stampin' Up! Oh So Succulent Cardiology by Jari

My large succulent from the Succulent Framelits Dies, was cut in Mint Macaron with Sweet Sugarplum ink sponged on the leaf tips and lightly on the centers.  Next, I stamped several of the succulent images from Oh So Succulent in Sweet Sugarplum and Mint Macaron inks, then die cut them out.

Stampin' Up! Oh So Succulent Cardiology by Jari

I stamped the Oh So Succulent Happy Mother’s Day sentiment in Sweet Sugarplum onto a Whisper White Stitched Shapes oval.  A scalloped oval in Sweet Sugarplum was then adhered to the sentiment oval.

Stampin' Up! Oh So Succulent Cardiology by Jari

A panel of Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper was adhered to a little larger panel of Mint Macaron, then framed with another panel from the Succulent Garden DSP.. Then, I popped it onto the Mint Macaron card base with dimensionals.  A Lace Doily was adhered to the side so that it would peek out when I added the succulents and sentiment panel.  I popped the sentiment ovals on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and began to add all of the succulents with touches of glue and dimensionals.  Three small Pearls were added near the sentiment.

Stampin' Up! Oh So Succulent Cardiology by Jari

One more succulent from Oh So Succulent was stamped in Sweet Sugarplum and Mint Macaron on the inside, and the sentiment is from the Suite Sentiments stamp set.

A complete list of stamping supplies as well as card stock cuts will be at the end of my post.

Spring Jar of Love for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Amy's Inkin' Krew Team Blog Hop

Spring, ah, spring!  A favorite time of year and our theme for this month’s Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop.  So glad you have joined us today.  I used the Jar of Love Bundle from Stampin’ Up! to create my card to share with you.

Stampin' Up! Jar of Love for Spring Cardiology by Jari

I started by tearing the edges of a panel of Whisper White card stock and then sponged the edges lightly with Crumb Cake ink and a Sponge Dauber.  Next, the water from Jar of Love was stamped onto a panel of Whisper White after I stamped it off once on a scrap piece of paper.  I just wanted the water to barely show.  The jar was stamped in Smoky Slate right over the water, then I cut it out using the Everyday Jars Framelits Dies.

I stamped several of the flower images from Jar of Love, using colors I think of in spring.  This is a two step stamp set, meaning for some of the images, you stamp twice.  I decided to use Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo, Wild Wasabi, Mint Macaron and Crumb Cake in the arrangement.  To achieve the two color look in the flowers, I stamped off the base of the flower before actually stamping it onto Whisper White, then came back with the second stamp full strength. The stems and leaves were stamped full strength.

Next, I adhered the jar onto the torn panel.   Then, I  stamped some stems in the water and a couple of greenery sprigs right onto the torn panel just above the jar top so they would peek out of the arrangement.  All of the flower heads and leaves were die cut and I began to put the spring arrangement together using Liquid Glue and Dimensionals.   I had some stray strands of Burlap Ribbon that had been pulled apart, so I put them together and tied a bow for the top of the jar.

I left the inside fairly plain for writing and added 3 left over small flowers to the right bottom with Liquid Glue.

A complete list of Stampin’ Up! products used to create my spring card and card stock cuts in inches will be at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Cookie Cutter Christmas Winter Holiday Blog Hop

Winter Holiday

Welcome to our Winter Holiday Blog Hop featuring Amy’s Inkin’ Krew.  We are a group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators who have Amy, from Stamp With Amy K, as our fabulous upline!  Our theme for this hop was to create a project for a winter holiday-which could be one of several occasions.  I chose to create a card for Christmas with lots of snow!

winter holiday

The “ground” was stamped first, using the stamp from Thoughtful Branches, which was originally meant as stems for the flower heads in that stamp set.  Then, I added the sentiment from Cookie Cutter Christmas.  Both are stamped in Soft Suede ink.  The panel was then dry embossed using the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and adhered to a panel of Real Red card stock with liquid glue.

winter holiday

The next step was to create an igloo, so I took a panel of Whisper White Thick card stock and first dry embossed it with the Brick Wall TIEF.  Then, using two ovals from the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies, cut out an igloo shape.  I pulled out my Clear Wink of Stella and colored the outer oval and the “block” edges to make it glisten.  (Wish it would show up in the photo!)  The igloo was popped onto the front with dimensionals.

My Eskimo boy was stamped in Soft Suede onto a panel of Whisper White Thick card stock and punched out with the coordinating Cookie Cutter Builder Punch.  Then, I used a Blender Pen and colored his outfit with Real Red, Cucumber Crush, Soft Suede and Soft Sky inks.  He is popped onto the front with dimensionals, too.  This whole art panel was then popped onto the Cucumber Crush card base with dimensionals.  I added a gold Metallic Enamel Shape star to the top of one of the trees for interest.

I repeated one of the trees from the front of the card for the inside in Cucumber Crush ink.  The sentiment, from Cookie Cutter Christmas, is stamped in Soft Suede ink.  I layered this Whisper White panel onto a panel of Real Red and then attached them to the inside with liquid glue.  Another star from the Metallic Enamel Shapes was added to the top of the tree.

Card stock cuts and products used in creating my card are at the end of the post.

Fall for Petals & Paisleys

Amy's Inkin' Krew Blog Hop

Thanks for stopping by for our Fall/Halloween Blog Hop!  I decided to create a Fall card using the Paisleys and Posies stamp set and the Paisley Framelits Dies Bundle for my share today. We are finally getting some beautiful fall weather and I know the leaves will be changing soon.  This Petals & Paisleys Designer Series Paper reminds me of those Fall leaves!

Fall

This card came together very quickly, too!  I started with  a Delightful Dijon card base, and layered a panel of Mint Macaron card stock on top with liquid glue.  Next, I cut a panel of the beautiful Petals & Paisleys Designer Series Paper and layered it onto a little larger panel of Very Vanilla.  Then it was time for some stamping and die cutting!

Fall

I inked up the sentiment from Paisleys & Posies in Versa Mark onto a panel of Very Vanilla, and sprinkled it with Gold Embossing Powder, then heat embossed it. It is die cut with a Layering Oval Die, then framed with a little larger Mint Macaron scalloped Oval Die.  I pulled out some Gold Foil card stock and the “leaf” shaped die from the Paisley Framelits Dies and die cut 2.  Burlap Ribbon was adhered to the DSP layers with Tear & Tape adhesive, then I popped that layer onto the card base.  Some Delightful Dijon and Mint Macaron 3/8″ Ribbon and Gold Sequin Trim are tied to the leaves with Gold Baker’s Twine and attached to the sentiment and then popped onto the front with dimensionals.

Fall

The inside sentiment is also from Paisleys & Posies and again, stamped in Versa Mark ink and Gold Embossing Powder.  A strip of Gold Foil lines the strip of Petals & Paisleys Specialty DSP  at the bottom of the Very Vanilla inside panel.

Supplies will be listed at the bottom of my post.
