Stampin’ Up! Paisleys & Posies Grateful

I used the Stampin’ Up! Paisleys & Posies stamp set and Paisley Framelits dies to create my Grateful card for today. This is the perfect time of year to stop and consider all of the people in our lives we are grateful for!  And this card will go to one of those people…..

grateful

The stamp set for my card was inspired by What Will You Stamp? #90

WWYS#90

The colors for my card were inspired by Fab Friday #100

fabfri-005

And, the card design by TGIFc81

My card started with a Mint Macaron card stock base.  I adhered a panel of Petals & Paisleys Specialty DSP to a panel of Copper Foil.  The banner was stamped in Versa Mark ink and sprinkled with Copper Embossing Powder, then heat embossed.  I also stamped three of the images from Paisleys & Posies in Versa Mark ink, sprinkled them with more Copper Embossing Powder and heat embossed them.  Next, I die cut them with the matching dies and colored them in with my Stampin’ Write Markers.  The ribbon is from the 3/8″ Ribbon Trio pack and adhered with Tear & Tape adhesive.

grateful

For the inside sentiment, I chose a stamp from the Acorny Thank You stamp set and also used Versa Mark and Copper Embossing Powder.  More Copper Foil and Petals & Paisleys DSP were added to the bottom of the panel and another colored image from Petals & Paisleys glued beside the Grateful for You sentiment.

Card stock cuts in inches and Stampin’ Up! products used will be at the end of the post.

Stitched From the Heart

Click Here to shop for the stamp sets on sale through November 30th.

**Previously announced:

Due to the popularity of the Stitched Shapes Framelits, Stampin’ Up! expects them to go on back order very soon.  They will be listed as non-orderable on November 21st until further notice.   From the beginning of the promotion, Stampin’ Up!  could see that sales were exceeding their forecasts, and they immediately sent in a second shipping order.  Since then, sales have continued to increase.   Additionally, when you enter this product’s item number in, you will receive a pop-up notification asking if you would like to be notified via email when this product is back in stock.  This allows you to find out immediately when the item’s status changes and it is again available for purchase

In the meantime, stamp sets included in the Stitched from the Heart promotion are still available, so be sure to take advantage of the sale while we wait for additional Framelits to arrive.

Stampin’ Up! Acorny Thank You Twist Gate Fold Card

Today I am sharing a Twist Gate Fold card using Acorny Thank You from Stampin’ Up!  For the November Creative Crew at Splitcoast Stampers, one of the challenges was to choose a technique from the SCS tutorials.  So, I chose the Twist Gate Fold card, and here is mine:

Acorny Thank

For the excellent instructions on making a Twist Gate Fold card, check out Dawn’s tutorial HERE

I have been making so many Christmas cards lately, that it was a lot of fun changing it up a bit for today!

Acorny Thank

As you can see, I used some of the rich fall-looking Petals & Paisleys Specialty Designer Series Paper for the front and sides.  The card base is Very Vanilla.  I stamped the Acorn image in Cajun Craze ink onto some Very Vanilla Card stock and punched out each piece using the Acorn Builder Punch.  I stamped the Thankful sentiment, also from Acorny Thank You, in Mint Macaron ink.  the small leaf stamp is from the Paisleys & Posies stamp set and was die cut using the leaf die from the Petals & Paisleys Framelits Dies. Some Burlap Ribbon and Linen Thread were added to create a little interest to the front.

Here is what it looks like when you open it up:

Acorny Thank

Kind of a fun card for today. I hope you will try one of these Twist Gate Fold cards, they are really easy and fit nicely in a standard medium envelope!

Can you believe today is November 1st?!!  Today you may begin ordering the Stitched Shape Framelits Dies and the Stamp Sets at 25% off.  Yippee!!  What a wonderful Christmas present for someone, or even YOURSELF 🙂

Vintage Leaves Step it Up Notecards

I created a couple of quick and easy note cards for today’s share using the Vintage Leaves stamp set from Stampin’ Up! My first card is CAS (clean and simple) and the second is a stepped up version of the same card.  Let me know what you think!

Vintage Leaves

I stamped the leaf images from Vintage Leaves, in Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Delightful Dijon directly onto the Whisper White note card. The sentiment, from Acorny Thank You, is also stamped in Dellightful Dijon in the right corner.  A length of Linen Thread was wrapped around the card front a couple of times and then I tied a small bow.  A Glue Dot was rolled a little and used to keep the bow in place.

Now for my stepped up version:

Vintage Leaves

I dry embossed a panel of Whisper White in the Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and popped it onto the front of the Whisper White Note Card.  Next, I stamped the leaves in Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Delightful Dijon onto a panel of Whisper White.  I pulled out my Leaflets Framelits and die cut the leaves.  Then, I cut a length of Delightful Dijon and Rich Razzleberry 3/8″ Ribbon and a length of Gold Sequin Trim to attach to the leaves with some Gold Baker’s Twine.  The sentiment is stamped in Old Olive onto a panel of Whisper White and then die cut with the banner die from the Gift Card Envelope and Trims Thinlets.  I made a second banner with Old Olive card stock and glued the two together with liquid glue.  They are popped onto the front with dimensionals.

Stampin’ Up! supplies for these cards can be found at the end of the post.

Craft Project Central Project

I was asked to be a guest designer for Craft Project Central in October.  I will be sharing my project later on this month.  Today, I am sharing another designer’s project.  Her name is Regina Andari –  www.workinouttheinks.blogspot.com

“Basket of Wishes” Scraplings!

Craft Project Central

There are several interpretations of “scraplings”, and in this tutorial a scrapling is a card (or tag or any other creation) that gets its start from a scrap of cardstock or paper . . . or both!  Although the cards in this tutorial get their start from full sizes of cardstock and are presented with exact measurements, the intention is that you will feel inspired to create cards and tags of all shapes and sizes from your stash of scraps.  When you need to create a quick card but the scraps all seem too small, think outside the box and use them to create a non-standard sized card.  The good news is that scraplings should fit any size (mailable) envelope that you have on hand, and the recipient will enjoy the odd size/shape of the card!  This tutorial includes instructions for making a pocket holder that has been custom-designed to perfectly hold the set of “scraplings”.  Another thing to love about this tutorial is that it features one set of designer paper and (mostly) one stamp set.

If you would like to see the complete project, and learn how to make it, you’ll want to subscribe for the month of October. With your subscription, you’ll get illustrated, step-by-step instructions for 10 wonderful projects for only $10! You can find out how to gain access to a bonus eleventh project over at Craft Project Central.

Stampin’ Up! Jar of Love Fall Treat Box

I have a fun little treat box to share with you today.  Since it is October 1st, I thought it fitting to begin the month with something more fall-ish.  Even though I have seen very little fall weather, I know someone reading this is probably experiencing it!  And, I hope enjoying it!

This month is just the beginning of a season of treat giving, too.  All of the store aisles are packed with Halloween candies, then there will be all of the fall flavors of Thanksgiving and of course, all of the cookies, candies, and homemade deliciousness of Christmas .  So, a little treat box to hold all of these goodies is in order, or maybe three!

treat box

This treat box is so easy to make!  I used Kraft card stock for the actual box.  The details on the size and score lines are at the end of the post.  I used the Acorny Thank You stamp set for the acorns.  They are stamped in Soft Suede, Pumpkin Pie and Crushed Curry.  I punched them out with the Acorn Builder Punch.  The leaves are stamped with the Vintage Leaves stamp set.  I used Soft Suede ink on Old Olive, Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie card stock and die cut them with the Leaflets Framelits.

treat box

I pulled out the largest jar from Jar of Love and stamped it in Soft Suede ink onto my Kraft card stock, then die cut the center with Everyday Jars Framelits.  The jar lid was also stamped with Soft Suede and die cut.  I popped the lid onto the treat box with dimensionals, then added the acorn/leaf bundle with some glue dots.  A length of Gold Baker’s Twine was tied into a bow and also added with a glue dot.

Stampin’ Up! Acorny Thank You Notecard and Weekly Deals

I used the Stampin’ Up! Acorny Thank You to create a really quick and easy notecard to share today.

Acorny Thank You Card-iology by JariSince I am out of town for a few days, I needed a quick and easy notecard to be able to create and give this week for Thanksgiving.  I stamped the acorn top from the Acorny Thank You stamp set from Stampin’ Up! onto a piece of Whisper White card stock with Daffodil Delight ink.  Then I punched it out with the Acorn Builder punch.  I also punched out the bottom of the acorn from a piece of Kraft Corrugated paper with the same punch.  I love how the acorn bottom turns out with this paper!

The completed acorn was then attached (with Dimensionals) to a piece of Into the Woods DSP that I punched out with my 2 1/2″ Circle Punch. The whole image was then layered with more Dimensionals to the front panel of Into the Woods DSP, which I had already snailed to the front of the Whisper White Notecard. A bow was tied around the acorn stem using a strand of Linen Thread.   I added the Thanks from the Expressions Natural Elements with Mulitpurpose Liquid Glue.  So quick and so easy for a fun Thank You card!

Stampin’ Up! Acorny Thank You Square Pillow Box Gift Box

As promised from my last post, I have another Square Pillow Box gift box for you.  I used the Stampin’ Up!  Acorny Thank You stamp set again, but changed it up a little this time. These are so easy to put together and make a great little box for giving something special.

Acorny Thank You Square Pillowbox gift box Card-iology by Jari

First, I cut out one piece of the Acorn paper from Into the Woods DSP, then placed the larger square from the Square Pillow Box Thinlits onto my second piece before running it through the Big Shot so that I would have a window in the front of the box.  I cut a square from the Window Sheets paper, applied a glue dot to each corner and adhered it to the inside of the opening.  Then, I filled a cellophane bag with almonds and secured the top, then slid it into my box. (The bottom of the box is secured with a couple of glue dots)

Square Pillowbox Card-iology by Jari  One of the acorn bottoms is made with some left over Kraft paper that I had previously scored with my Simply Scored Scoring Tool.  The top of that acorn was stamped in Early Expresso ink.  I used Versa Mark ink and Gold embossing powder for the second acorn.  Both were punched out with the Acorn Builder punch.

Acorny Thank You Square Pillowbox Card-iology by Jari

I secured the top of the box by wrapping a length of Early Expresso Seam Binding Ribbon around and loosely knotting it.  A strand of Gold Cording was tied in a bow around the acorn tops and I popped them onto the box with Dimensionals.

Stampin’ Up! Acorny Thank You Square Pillowbox

Happy Saturday, and it’s Halloween! All of my Halloween boxes and bags were completed and mailed out to grandchildren in Florida, so I decided to make a fall gift box from the Acorny Thank You stamp set from Stampin’ Up! with the Square Pillow Box dies.  This could also be used at Thanksgiving-wow, that is not very far away

Acorny Thank You Pillow Box Card-iology by Jari

Did you notice my pillow box is a little different?  Well, you were right.  Most pillow boxes are just flat, but I decided to make mine with a little handle.  Once I die cut the Kraft cardstock, I put the pieces together using Tear and Tape, then I grabbed my Oval Punch and figured out where I wanted the oval to be, and punched away.

Acorny Thank You Pillow Box Card-iology by JariI added a belly band of Early Expresso and Into the Woods DSP using Fast Fuse and Glue Dots.  Next I stamped my Acorn images onto Whisper White and punched them out with the adorable new Acorn Punch.  They are held together with a Glue Dot, then popped up with Dimensionals.  I added a leaf from the Into the Woods Elements that had been sponged a little with Old Olive ink, then attached it with a Glue Dot.  The Burlap Ribbon was pulled through the opening and gathered together with a piece of Early Expresso Seam Binding Ribbon which I then tied into a bow.

Super easy-a great project for a Saturday morning, with plenty of time to get ready for your favorite college football game. (GO GATORS!)

Stampin’ Up! Acorny Thank You for the Happy Stampers Weekly Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to another Happy Stamper’s Weekly Blog Hop.  We have a color challenge to play with today:

I used the Acorny Thank You stamp set from Stampin’ Up! for my project today.  Instead of making a card, I made a little treat box to use at Thanksgiving.  It’s always fun to give a little treat to those you are thankful for-especially when chocolate is involved!  But once I made one, I decided to try another one because it was so much fun, and I got to sample some candy.  Well, some might not be the right word….  Here they are:

The box idea is actually borrowed from Sam Donald, and you can see hers here.  I started with Kraft cardstock for the box and used the new Corrugated Kraft cardstock for the acorns on the right box, as well as a leaf from the Vintage Leaves stamp set which was cut with the coordinating Leaflets Framelits.  I used Pumpkin Pie ink on the Pumpkin Pie cardstock for the oak leaf and Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze ink on Whisper White cardstock for the acorn tops.

I wrapped a strip of DSP that corresponded with each of our challenge colors around the Hershey Nugget and attached it with glue dots.  Here is another look at the box on the left with the candy ready to be put inside :

Instructions with project cuts will be at the bottom of my post.
