For those who have known me a while, they know I cannot sit still for very long! So, it is not uncommon to find me working on some project or hobby, way into the wee hours of the night (morning!) Guess you could say I am a night owl- which can be a good thing some times. When I was not teaching school and raising my 4 children (now grown with their own families), I could be found doing some sort of sewing. Smocking and embroidery were really my favorites. Unfortunately, children and grandchildren grow so quickly, and with most of the grands being boys, those smocking days were over!
My husband and I decided to make a big move from Florida to Georgia several years ago, and purchased a very old farmhouse that needed restoring. We did a LOT of the work ourselves, so that became my new hobby. 🙂 Fast forward a few years, and I was ready for something new to occupy my time. Then, one day at work, a friend brought in some of her Stampin’ Up! goodies and introduced me to paper arts.
Well, let me tell you, that was so exciting seeing all of the fun things I could do with paper and ink. I was hooked! That was 3 years ago, and it is still exciting, and I am still burning the midnight oil. I am so blessed to have a husband who supports my love of crafting and Stampin’ Up!, except, he keeps asking if I am going to pay him a consulting fee because I keep asking him to critique my cards!
