Stampin’ Up! Avant Garden and One Big Meaning

I used Avant Garden and One Big Meaning from Stampin’ Up! to create my card to share with you today.  Avant Garden is a free stamp set you can earn during Sale-A-Bration with a $50 or more order from my online store.  Sale-A-Bration is going on right now through March 31st.

Stampin'Up! Avant Garden One Big Meaning Cardiology by Jari

I used the sketch at Paper Craft Crew #232 for my card layout.

PCC#232

The colors were inspired by Fab Friday #106

Fab Friday #106

When the designers over at Fab Friday said a color challenge, that is exactly what it was for me!  I could think of things with some of the colors but not all of them at first!  They definitely pulled me out of my comfort zone.  I knew I wanted to use Avant Garden and that I needed a thank you card, so I combined Avant Garden and One Big Meaning, which is full of thank you sentiments!

Stampin' Up! Avant Garden One Big Meaning Cardiology by Jari

I started by stamping the flower images, the dotted images and the leaves onto a panel of Very Vanilla card stock.  The art panel was then framed with a panel of Peekaboo Peach.  Next, I stamped the sentiment from One Big Meaning in Rich Razzleberry onto a panel of Very Vanilla.  I used the smallest Stitched Shapes Oval die to cut it out and then framed it with panels of Peekaboo Peach and Rich Razzleberry ovals from the Ovals Framelits Dies.

Stampin'Up!AvantGardenOneBigMeaning Cardiology by Jari

I adhered a panel from Blooms & Bliss DSP onto the Rich Razzleberry card stock base with liquid glue.  Then, I adhered a panel of Cupcakes and Carousels DSP onto a panel of Peekaboo Peach and popped it onto the base with Dimensionals.  I pulled out a Classy Designer Button, threaded it with some Linen Thread, and tied a bow around a small length of Peekaboo Peach Ruched Ribbon. The button was attached to the art panel with several Glue Dots, then the art panel was popped on the front with Dimensionals.  To complete the front of the card, I popped the sentiment oval on with more Dimensionals.

I used a Very Vanilla panel for the inside and stamped the sentiment from One Big Meaning in Rich Razzleberry ink.  The flowers are more from Avant Garden and are stamped in Peekaboo Peach and Bermuda Bay to carry over the theme from the front.

Card stock cuts in inches and a list of Stampin’ Up! products used to create my Avant Garden One Big Meaning Thank You card will be at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Inside The Lines Thank You

I used the Inside the Lines DSP and All Things Thanks from Stampin’ Up! to create my card for today.  Remember, Inside the Lines is FREE during Sale-A-Bration when you order $50 or more in Stampin’ Up! products.

Stampin' Up! Inside the Lines and All Things Thanks Cardiology by Jari

I was inspired by the colors at Sunday Stamps SSC147

Sunday Stamps SSC147 Challenge

My sketch was inspired by the Less is More #317 challenge this week:

Less is More #317 sketch challenge

I started with a panel of the Inside the Lines Designer Series Paper.  From this panel, I decided on the portion I wanted to color and used a Stitched Shapes Thinlets Circle die to cut it out. Using a Blender Pen and Calypso Coral, Pear Pizzaz, Crumb Cake, So Saffron and Soft Sky inks, I painted the images inside the circle.  Once dry, I cut a scalloped circle from the Circles Framelits in Calypso Coral card stock and adhered it to the back of the colored panel.

Stampin' Up! Inside the Lines and All Things Thanks by Cardiology by Jari

I adhered the uncolored panel of Inside the Lines DSP to a panel of Pear Pizzaz card stock, then wrapped a length of Linen Thread around it 3 times.  It was secured to the back with some tape, then I added Dimensionals and popped this panel onto the Calypso Coral card stock base.  I lined up the colored panel of Inside the Lines with the uncolored panel and popped it over the cut out spot with Dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Inside The Lines and All Things Thanks Cardiology by Jari

Then, I inked up the sentiment from All Things Thanks in Versa Mark ink onto a panel of Calypso Coral, sprinkled Copper Emboss Powder on it and heat embossed it.  I pulled out one of the banners from Bunch of Banners, die cut it and popped it onto the front with Dimensionals.

Inside The Lines and All Things Thanks Cardiology by Jari

For the inside, I chose one of the flowers from Inside The Lines DSP, cut it out, and colored it in using my Blender Pen and Calypso Coral, Pear Pizzaz and So Saffron inks.  The sentiment is another one from All Things Thanks and heat embossed with Copper Emboss Powder.  This Whisper White sentiment panel was adhered to a panel of Pear Pizzaz, then layered onto the Calypso Coral card base.

A complete list of supplies to complete this project as well as card stock cuts in inches will be at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Moon Baby for FMS#276

Happy Saturday.  I hope your weekend is going well, maybe you’re even enjoying some pre-spring weather where you are!  I used the Moon Baby stamp set from the Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog for my card for today.

Stampin' Up! Moon Baby

The inspiration for my design is from Freshly Made Sketches, FMS#276. Make sure to check out all of the great projects over there and try your hand at the sketch.

FMS#276

I started with a panel of Watercolor paper and stamped the baby image from Moon Baby in Basic Black Archival ink. Then, using my Aqua Painter, I carefully colored in the baby;s sleeper with Pool Party ink.  I cleaned the brush and added just a little smudge of Pink Pirouette ink to the baby’s cheeks.  I stamped the umbrella top again onto a panel of A Little Foxy DSP in Basic Black so that I could fussy cut it out and adhere it to the actual umbrella.  This is called paper piecing.

Stampin' Up! Moon Baby

When the art panel was dry, I cut it out with the largest Stitched Shapes Framelits Oval Die, then framed it with a scalloped oval from the Ovals Framelits Dies.  Hello Baby was stamped with Basic Black Archival ink onto Whisper White card stock, then I used one of the smallest Tags & Labels Framelits to die cut it.  The Pool Party frame for the sentiment is also from the Tags & Labels Framelits.

Stampin' Up! Moon Baby

My card base is Pool Party.  I adhered the Smoky Slate raindrop pattern from A Little Foxy DSP to a panel of Smoky Slate card stock, then to the zig-zag patterned panel from A Little Foxy.  I wrapped a length of Pool Party 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon around the two panels, secured it to the back with tape and tied a small bow.  Then, I popped it onto the base with Dimensionals.  The sentiment panel and the art panel were also added with Dimensionals.  A Pool Party enamel shape was the last touch to the front.

Stampin' Up! Moon Baby

My sentiment is also from Moon Baby, and was stamped in Basic Black Archival ink onto my Whisper White panel.  More of the zig-zag patterned paper was added the bottom to carry over the theme from the front.

A complete list of supplies for my Moon Baby card and card stock cuts in inches will be at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Time of Year for The Paper Players

I combined the Time of Year and Love & Affection stamp sets to create a card for The Paper Players Clean and Simple Challenge this week.

Time of Year Love & Affection

The challenge this week is to create a CAS card with the sentiment as the focal point.  I hope you’ll check out all of the other designs at PP#332.

Paper Players #332

I started with a panel of Cucumber Crush as my base.  When I paired it with Night of Navy, I felt like I needed to do something to the Night of Navy besides just creating a frame with Copper Foil paper.  So, I pulled out my Floral Affections Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and dry embossed the Night of Navy layer.  The folder is smaller than most Embossing Folders so I was able to move the panel and emboss different sections .  I actually ran it through 4 different times, embossing the corners and some of the middle.

Time of Year and Love & Affection

Thinking of You is the main sentiment in the Time of Year Host stamp set, and I stamped it in Versa Mark ink on a panel of Crumb Cake card stock.  Then, I sprinkled it with Copper Emboss Powder and heat embossed it. Once dry, it was cut out with the largest square from the Layering Squares Framelits Dies.   The frame is the largest scalloped square from that same set of framelits.   I chose the small flower image from Love & Affection and stamped a panel of Watermelon Wonder with more Versa Mark ink, then Copper Emboss Powder.  The flower was then fussy cut with my Paper Snips.

Time of Year and Love & Affection

For the center strip, I chose the Affectionately Yours Specialty DSP and used more Copper Foil for a frame for it.  Once all the parts were completed, I began adhering them from the bottom up.  The Night of Navy panel was adhered to the Foil with glue, then adhered to the card base with Dimensionals. The center strip was adhered with glue, then the sentiment panel popped on with Dimensionals. I added the flower last with a small Dimensional.

The inside of my card is simple, too

Time of Year and Love & Affection

I used the sentiment from Love & Affection and stamped it in Versa Mark, then heat embossed it with Copper Emboss Powder.

A complete list of stamping supplies and card stock cuts in inches for my Time of Year and Love & Affection card will be at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Tasty Trucks for Happy Inkin’ Thursday

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I used Tasty Trucks,  from the Stampin’ Up! Sale-A-Bration flyer, for my share for our blog hop today.  This food truck is so cute and I love its versatility!  And, it was FREE!

Trucks

 Here is our color challenge:

Happy Inkin' Thursday color challenge

These colors are really fun, and just happen to be included in the Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series paper.  So that part was pretty easy.  I decided to use the Tasty Trucks stamp set from the Sale-A-Bration flyer because I think it is so cute.  I started by stamping the truck in Basic Black Archival ink onto a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Then, I pulled out my Crumb Cake, Watermelon Wonder and Pool Party ink pads and a Blender Pen.  I pressed down on the lids quite a bit before opening so that some of the ink would transfer to the top cover.  Then, I used this ink to “color” in the truck with my blender pen.

TrucksNext, I die cut the truck image with one of the largest circles in the Layering Circles Framelits collection.  The Watermelon Wonder frame was die cut with the largest Scalloped Circle Framelits die and attached with liquid glue.  I stamped another awning from the truck image and two sets of flags.  Once they were colored with my blender pen and ink, I fussy cut them out.  The awning was attached with small pieces of Dimensionals, and the Pool Party flags added with a little dab of liquid glue.  The popsicles were cut out of the Tasty Treats DSP and added with Dimensionals.

Trucks

I noticed the wheels needed some hubcaps, so I added two Pool Party Enamel Shapes to finish off the truck.  The sentiment was stamped in Basic Black Archival ink and die cut with the smallest banner in the Bunch of Banners Framelits Dies.  A second banner was cut in Pool Party, cut in half and attached to either end of the Whisper White one  with liquid glue.  The card base is Watermelon Wonder with panels of Pool Party and Tasty Treats Specialty DSP layered and attached with Dimensionals.  A strip of Watermelon Wonder striped card stock from Tasty Treats and two banners from another pattern in the Tasty Treats DSP were added with liquid glue and the art panel and sentiment panel popped on with Dimensionals.

Trucks

For the inside, I added a strip of the Watermelon Wonder stripe onto a panel of Whisper White and left room for a handwritten note.

A complete list of supplies and card stock cuts in inches for my Tasty Trucks card will be at the end of my post.

Dragonfly Dreams & Butterfly Basics for PCC#231

I used the Dragonfly Dreams Bundle, Butterfly Basics and Gorgeous Grunge from Stampin’ Up! to create my card for today.

Dragonfly

I’m playing along with the sketch at Paper Craft Crew #231.

PCC#231

I started by stamping the Whisper White art panel with the splatter image from Gorgeous Grunge in Crumb Cake ink. Because I did not want the Crumb cake too dark, I stamped it off onto a scrap paper a couple of times.  Then, I did the same thing with the honeycomb image from Butterfly Basics.  The fern image from Butterfly Basics was stamped in Wild Wasabi 3 times without re-inking.

Dragonfly  The body of the Dragonfly, from Dragonfly Dreams, was stamped in Basic Black, then the wings in Wisteria Wonder.  I die cut it with the matching die from the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlets Dies.  I added some Dimensionals to the back and looped a length of Gold Metallic Thread around a few times before popping it onto the art panel.  The banner sentiment is from Dragonfly Dreams and stamped in Basic Black, then die cut with the banner from the Gift Card Envelope & Thinlets Dies.  My little flower was created with the long die from the Flourish Thinlets.  I cut the circles apart and glued two parts together to make a flower.  The center is one of the smaller White Perfect Accents.

Dragonfly

The inside sentiment is from Butterfly Basics and stamped in Wisteria Wonder.  Three more fern fronds were stamped in Wild Wasabi and a little strip of the Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack card stock was repeated to finish it off!

Card stock cuts and products used in creating this card will be at the end of the post.

Stampin’ Up! Blooms & Wishes For You

I used the Blooms & Wishes stamp set from Stampin’ Up! to create a Clean and Simple card for today.

Blooms & Wishes

I was inspired by the colors over at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge #86 this week

SIP 86

And, my sketch was inspired by Case this Sketch CAS(E)#209

I started by making a mask of the largest flower image so that my other flowers would appear to be behind it.  I used Daffodil Delight ink and stamped the flower from Blooms & Wishes onto a sticky note, and fussy cut it out.  Then, I stamped the large flower image onto my Whisper White panel.  I stamped the center image with Peekaboo Peach.

Blooms & Wishes

The mask was then placed on top of the large flower and I began to stamp the other flowers and leaves using Peekaboo Peach, Bermuda Bay and Wild Wasabi.  Once all of the florals were completed, I stamped the sentiment, also from Blooms & Wishes, in Versa Mark ink.  Copper Embossing Powder was sprinkled on top and heat embossed.

Blooms & Wishes

The art panel was adhered to a panel of Bermuda Bay with liquid glue. Then, I added a few pearls to the centers of the small flowers and popped it onto the Whisper White base with dimensionals.

Blooms & Wishe

For the inside, I stamped some more of the flower images from Blooms & Wishes using the masking technique again, and layered it onto a panel of Bermuda Bay before adhering it to the Whisper White base.

A complete list of stamping supplies and card stock cuts are located at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Window Shopping Birthday Card

I used the Window Shopping Bundle from Stampin’ Up! to create a Window Shopping Birthday Card to share today.

Window Shopping Birthday Card

My sketch was inspired by Sunday Stamps SSC #146.

SSC146

Window Shopping Birthday Card

I started with a panel from Party Animal DSP (polka dots) and adhered it to a panel of Pacific Point card stock with liquid glue.  I pulled out the Window Box Thinlets die (with the candles), placed it and a Stitched Shapes Framelits square die on a Whisper White panel and die cut them both out at the same time.  Crushed Curry, Pacific Point, Emerald Envy, and Tangerine Tango strips of card stock were adhered to the back of the candle cut out with dabs of liquid glue.  I love how those colors peek through the cut outs on the candles, don’t you?  The candles were then adhered to a little larger panel of Tangerine Tango.

Window Shopping Birthday Card

I made a sentiment banner with one of the sentiments in the Window Shopping stamp set and cut it out with the small banner die from the Popcorn Box Thinlets Dies.

Next, I chose the row of candles pattern from the Party Animal DSP, and adhered it to some Pacific Point card stock for a center band.  A length of Emerald Envy Baker’s Twine was then wrapped around it twice and up through a small hole I punched in the end of the banner.  I threaded one of the Party Animal party hat Embellishments and then tied a bow.

I used the ink to rubber method for stamping the inside sentiment, using my Pacific Point and Emerald Envy Stampin’ Write markers.  For a finishing touch, I cut out two candles from the Party Animal  DSP and adhered them next to the sentiment with a little dab of liquid glue.

A complete list of card stock cuts and products used to create my card will be at the end of the post.

Window Shopping for Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Window Shopping Bundle to create a clean and simple card for our blog hop today!

Window

And here is our sketch for the week:

Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop sketch

I started with a panel of Whisper White card stock and die cut the large die from the Window Box Thinlets a little below the center.  Then, I cut a panel of Blooms & Bliss DSP and attached it behind the cut out area with a little liquid glue.

Window

A length of Mint Macaron Sheer Linen Ribbon was adhered to the right side of the art panel by adding a little Tear & Tape Adhesive to the front and back.  Then, I adhered the panel to a little larger panel of Island Indigo card stock so that only the right side peeked out a little.  My next step was to adhere the whole thing to the Whisper White card stock base with Dimensionals.

Window

I stamped Thinking of You,  found in the Window Shopping stamp set, with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with White Emboss Powder.  I used my banner die from the Gift Card Envelope and Trims Thinlets to cut it out, then added some loops of Silver Metallic Thread to the end with a couple of Glue Dots.  One of the Falling In Love Embellishments was also adhered with Glue Dots and all that was left of the front was to pop the banner on with Dimensionals.

The inside has a Whisper White panel with a small strip of the Blooms & Bliss DSP used under the front cut out adhered to the bottom to leave room for a longer note.

And, there you have it, a CAS card for you today!  A complete list of supplies and card stock cuts in inches is located at the end of my post.

Now, on to the rest of the hop to see what Kristi has created for us today!  Thanks so much for joining us 🙂

Stampin’ Up! Sunshine Wishes Valentine for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew

Amy's Inkin' Krew Share the Love Blog Hop

Happy Valentine’s Day and welcome to our Share the Love Blog Hop, compliments of Amy’s Inkin’ Krew!  I made a Sunshine Wishes Valentine to share today, with some help from Thoughtful Banners and the Love Notes Framelits Dies.
Sunshine Wishes Valentine

I used the Falling Petals Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and dry embossed a panel of Whisper White, and set it aside.  Then, I made a banner with my Banner Triple Punch and some Pop of Pink DSP.  Next, I cut out some hearts with more of the Pop of Pink, Melon Mambo and Basic Black.  I pulled out the Love from Sunshine Wishes and die cut it in Melon Mambo three times.  The arrow is from the Love Notes Framelits Dies.

Sunshine Wishes Valentine

Before stamping the You sentiment, I arranged all of the hearts and the banner on top of the Whisper White embossed panel to make sure of placement.  Then, it was stamped in Basic Black Archival ink.  The banner was adhered first, then, I adhered Love onto the largest heart with liquid glue.  All of the larger hearts were popped onto the front with dimensionals, and the smaller ones glued on.

Sunshine Wishes Valentine

For the inside of my card, I added a strip of the dotted Pop of Pink DSP to the bottom of a Whisper White panel, then also added some left over small hearts.  Finally, I adhered the inside panel to the Whisper White card base with liquid glue.  There you have it, my Sunshine Wishes Valentine!  When you put different stamp sets and framelits together, you can come up with some amazingly different types of cards!

A complete list of Stampin’ Up! products used to create this Sunshine Wishes Valentine as well as card stock cuts will be at the end of my post.
