Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Wings

Hi Stampers!  It’s Saturday, YEA!   I hope you are having a wonderful weekend so far and have some stamping time planned!  My share for today is using Watercolor Wings from Stampin’ Up!

Watercolor Wings

Watercolor Wings is such a fun stamp set to use because you can create thousands of variations of your butterfly!  And, you have 3 different butterfly stamps in there.  Two of them are 3 step stamping if you choose.  And, you can purchase the bundle of the stamp set and the Bold Butterfly Framelits Dies at a !5 % discount until May 31st.  So get busy and order the bundle!

Watercolor Wings

The largest butterfly image from Watercolor Wings was stamped off once using Mint Macaron ink, then the second image in full strength Mint Macaron, and the last was stamped in Watermelon Wonder on a panel of Whisper White.  I used the Bold Butterfly Framelits Die to cut out the butterfly.  Then, the body was stamped  in Crumb Cake ink.  I punched out a tag of Mint Macaron with my Scalloped Tag Topper punch and stamped some more images from the Watercolor Wings set, including the antennae for the butterfly. The Watermelon Wonder Dotted Lace Trim (retiring) is cinched together with some Linen Thread.

My card base is Mint Macaron, the striped panel is Mint Macaron 2015-2917 In Colors Envelope paper (retiring) and the polka dot is from the 2015-17 In Color Designer Series Paper Stacks.  I added part of a Tea Lace Paper Doily (retiring) and some 1 1/4 ” Burlap Ribbon (retiring) to the front before attaching the tag with dimensionals.

Watercolor Wings

I used the smallest butterfly from Watercolor Wings for the inside, stamping it in Watermelon Wonder ink, and the body and antenna in Crumb Cake.  The dots are stamped in Mint Macaron.

All About Everything for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

HappyStampersBlogPostBanner

Hello again, it’s time for another Happy Stampers Hop and I am sharing All About Everything from the April Paper Pumpkin kit, with a little help from the Rose Wonder Bundle 🙂

All About Everything

And here is our sketch:

12299132_1305624209464151_5553420553848870846_n

What a fun stamp set- All About Everything.  It was an extra stamp set in the April Paper Pumpkin kit to commemorate the sale of one million Paper Pumpkin kits!  Wow!  I hope you are a PP subscriber so that you received it!  I also had a lot of help with the Rose Garden Thinlets and the English Garden DSP (retiring).

All About Everything

Since there is not much stamping on the outside, I made the inside resemble the outside with stamps from All About Everything, Rose Wonder and Garden in Bloom (the bee).
All About Everything

Finally, I dressed up the envelope with the Envelope Liners Framelits (retiring) and more English Garden DSP:

All About Everything

Tips and tricks on making this card will be at the end of the post.

Card Tips and Tricks:

**Start with a Mossy Meadow card base

**Stamp the sentiment from All About Everything on a panel of Blushing Bride and attach the layer of Garden in Bloom with glue

**Die cut a Blushing Bride rose, cutting off the leaves, then die cut leaves in Old Olive and cut them apart until you find the right combination for your rose.  Attach the leaves to the rose with a fine tip glue pen.

**Cut a length of ribbon and notch one end.  Punch a hole in the layer of DSP and Blushing Bride for the brad, and then do the same in the ribbon.  Attach the ribbon to the back with Tear and Tape and to the front with a small amount of the glue from the fine tip pen.  Add the brad to the front of the card.

**Add glue from the fine tip glue pen to the rose and leaves and place it on the front of the card.

**Fussy cut a bee from the English Garden DSP and attach with dimensionals.

**Attach the art piece to the card base with dimensionals

**Stamp the rose and leaves in Blushing Bride onto a panel of Whisper White; then stamp the bee from Garden in Bloom in Soft Suede and color in with Crushed Curry; stamp the sentiment from All About Everything in Mossy Meadow glue this panel onto a panel of Blushing Bride and finally to the card base.

Thanks for hopping in today, see you next time…

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Blossoms Drapery Fold Card

My share for this Tuesday is a Drapery Fold card using the Birthday Blossoms stamp set from Stampin’ Up! I have seen these all over social media and just had to try it. Wow, it is easy and fun!

Drapery Fold

I used a 12 X 12 sheet of Birthday Bouquet DSP that was trimmed to 4 x 11 1/2 and then scored and folded.  Here is a tutorial for you. There are plenty of examples out there!

I love this DSP and will be sad to see it retire in a few short weeks.  Make sure you get it before it is gone!

Drapery Fold

I used a Mint Macaron card base and added a layer of the dotted Birthday Bouquet.  I decided to stamp in Early Expresso ink right on top of that dotted paper.  Not my usual-but thought it would be fun!  The ribbon and bow are also in Early Expresso.  This ribbon is also retiring soon.

And the inside has the same DSP with the sentiment from Birthday Blossoms stamped in Early Expresso ink.

Drapery Fold

The envelope needed some interest, so I used the Envelope Liners Framelits (retiring :() to make a pretty lining.

Drapery Fold

Bloomin’ Love for Mother’s Day Card

My share for today is a Mother’s Day card designed with Bloomin’ Love from Stampin’ Up!  I also had help from the April Paper Pumpkin stamp sets for my sentiments.

Bloomin' Love Mother's Day card by Card-iology by Jari

I used the sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.  You will want to head over there and see all of the other great entries in this week’s challenge.

FMS Final 233-001

I am also playing along with the new TGIF Challenge 52.  It is a Mother’s Day card challenge. They are also giving away a free stamp set, so head over there and check it out and play along!

TGIF MAY 2016 New Challenges-002

I really had not realized how soon Mother’s Day is so I am glad I got the head’s up!  It will be here and gone very soon.

Bloomin' Love

The Blushing Bride panel is dry embossed with the Happy Heart TIEF and adhered to the Crumb Cake card base.  A panel of Love Blossoms DSP was adhered to a panel of Crumb Cake and then glued to the front.  Next, I stamped the sentiment from one of the stamp sets from the April Paper Pumpkin in Crumb Cake onto Whisper White.   Then, colored in the leaves and flowers with my Stampin’ Write markers. This is framed in Blushing Bride and Crumb Cake-both just a little larger than the art piece.Bloomin' Love

I stamped the heart image from Bloomin’ Love in Crumb cake onto Whisper White and fussy cut the heart shape. I stamped 3 flowers from Bloomin’ Love and used the Bloomin’ Hearts Thinlets Dies to cut them out.  ***These Thinlets are sold as a bundle with the Bloomin’ Love stamp set now, but will be sold separately in the upcoming 2016-2017 catalog, so order yours now!

I used some Pearl Basic jewels for the flower centers and attached them with glue dots.  The sentiment and the heart image are attached to the card front with dimensionals to give it some depth.

Bloomin' Love

For the inside I stamped a flower image from Bloomin’ Love in Blushing Bride, and for the sentiment, I chose another stamp from one of the April Paper Pumpkin stamps and used Crumb Cake ink.

I decided to fancy up the envelope(see above) with a liner of the same Love Blossoms DSP using the Envelope Liners Framelets (these are retiring!  boo-hoo)

Stampin’ Up! Friendly Wishes

Happy Friday!  So glad you stopped by.  My share for you today is from the Friendly Wishes stamp set.

Friendly WishesThe inspiration for the card layout is from Fab Friday #85.  Make sure you head over there and check out all of the other cards and play along, too!

Fab Friday Logos-085

I started by layering a panel of Birthday Bouquet DSP onto my Mossy Meadow card base with MP liquid glue.  Then, I punched 2 banners in coordinating Birthday Bouquet DSP with my Banner Triple punch.

Friendly Wishes

Before adding the banners to the front, I cut a piece of Tea Lace Doily and glued it just below where I wanted to place the banners. The sentiment, from Friendly Wishes, was stamped in Blushing Bride onto Whisper White and cut out with the second to the smallest label from Deco Labels Collection Framelits.  I stamped that same sentiment in Mossy Meadow and fussy cut the word YOU and glued it over the Blushing Bride YOU. Both labels are popped up with dimensionals to give the card some depth. I punched a heart with the Itty Bitty Accents Heart punch and added an Iced Rhinestone for some bling!

Friendly Wishes

If you look closely, you will notice I used another stamp from Friendly Wishes to decorate the inside.  The heart image goes all along the bottom of the Whisper White panel and is stamped in Blushing Bride.  And the finished product with the envelope:

Friendly Wishes

Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Wings for Happy Stampers Blog Hop

HappyStampersBlogPostBanner

My share for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop is from Watercolor Wings.

Watercolor Wings

Today we are working with a color challenge:

12279068_1305624036130835_7849498222386249654_n

I have not used Watercolor Wings in a while, and it was fun to pull it back out and reacquaint myself with it.  I played around with the color layers for the butterfly (there are 3) until I decided on the sequence I wanted.  I think that is a fun option with this stamp set

Watercolor Wings

Steps to creating the card:

* Dry emboss the Soft Suede card base with the Brick Wall TIEF

* Cut a banner using the next to the largest Banners Framelits (I made it a little longer by only running the v shaped end through the Big Shot).  Attach it to the base with glue or snail-your preference.

* Using the largest butterfly images from Watercolor Wings, stamp the flat butterfly stamp in Pool Party first, then on top of that, stamp the butterfly with the shaded wings in Soft Suede ink that is stamped off once; and last, stamp the final butterfly on top using Soft Suede full strength.  Die cut with the die from Bold Butterfly Thinlets and stamp on the body with Soft Suede.  I used Whisper White Thick paper because I thought the butterfly would stand out a little nicer.

* Using a square panel of Whisper White card stock, make a background image with other stamps in the set with Pool Party and Mossy Meadow, stamp the sentiment in Mossy Meadow.

* Cut a length of Gold thread and attach it to the dimensional under the butterfly and place on the art piece, then stamp the butterfly’s antenna.

*Frame the art work with a panel of Mossy Meadow using liquid glue or snail; attach to the front of the card with dimensionals

I used the same images on the inside as on the front, but decided to use the smallest butterfly, and of course the sentiment is one from Watercolor Wings, too.

Watercolor Wings

The final touches to the envelope include more of the DSP used on the front of the card with my Envelope Liners Framelets Dies.

Watercolor Wings

Card stock cuts in inches will be at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Basics

My share for today is from Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Basics.

Butterfly Basics

I had a little help with the sketch and color scheme.  For the sketch, I am playing along with the Sunday Stamps weekly challenge#124:

SSC124f

And my colors are compliments of the Color Throwdown challenge #388:

swatch388

I have recently seen quite a few butterflies outside and I wanted to bring them inside to my cards-so, I pulled out Butterfly Basics and got busy!  I used the Butterflies Thinlets, which coordinate with the Butterfly Basics stamp set, to begin.  The medium sized butterfly was cut out in Daffodil Delight card stock.

Butterfly Basics

I decided to create my own “DSP” background by stamping several of the images from  Butterfly Basics.  The dotted line stamp was stamped in Pacific Point along the bottom of the Whisper White panel, then, the flower was randomly stamped in Daffodil Delight.  The honey-comb image was stamped down the center in Daffodil Delight.  Next, I cut out a banner with the Banners Framelits in Cucumber Crush and stamped the leaf a couple of times onto it in Cucumber Crush ink and glued it to my art pane

Butterfly Basics

The sentiment was stamped onto a panel of Whisper White Thick card stock in Pacific Point and cut out with the banner from the Gift Card Envelope and Trims Thinlets and popped onto the banner with dimensionals.  I added a Very Vintage Designer button threaded with some Crushed Curry Baker’s Twine to the banner with a glue dot.Butterfly Basics

The inside is decorated with more of the same stamp colors from the outside with an addition of the small butterfly stamp from Butterfly Basics onto a panel of Whisper White.

Butterfly Basics

I used some real DSP from the Brights Color Collection in  Pacific Point to line the envelope using my Envelope Liners Framelits.

Card stock cuts in inches will be at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Botanical Blooms

My share for today is from Botanical Blooms from Stampin’ Up! and is inspired by the Stamp, Ink Paper sketch Challenge #43.

Botanical Blooms

Here is the sketch.  Make sure you head over to check out all of the wonderful cards for this challenge!

SIP-Sketch-Challenge-43-800

I cut a panel of the Botanical Gardens DSP and pulled out the Botanical Blooms stamp set and began stamping in the flower centers with Calypso Coral and Delightful Dijon inks.  Once they were completed, I adhered a panel of Mint Macaron to the art piece with Liquid glue.  I chose the Hello Honey panel from the Botanical Gardens DSP and adhered it to the front of the Whisper White Thick card base with Liquid Glue.

Botanical Blooms

My next step was to pull out the Botanical Builders Framelits Dies and cut out a flower and the inner parts using some of the Botanical  Gardens DSP, Hello Honey and Basic Black card stock.  The center of the flower is popped onto the flower base with a dimensional.

I stamped the sentiment from Birthday Blooms in Cajun Craze onto a panel of Whisper White and cut it out with the next to the smallest Banners Framelits.  I also cut out that same banner in Cajun Craze and framed the sentiment.

A strand of Linen Thread was wrapped around the art panel three times, then attached to the back with a small piece of tape before securing the whole panel onto the card base at an angle with dimensionals.

Botanical Blooms

For the inside, I inked up the large flower from Botanical Blooms in Mint Macaron ink and added the small flowers from Botanicals for You in Cajun Craze and Hello Honey inks.

I decided to add a little color to the envelope flap with more of the Botanical Gardens DSP with my Envelope Liners Framelits.

Botanical Blooms

I love this wonderful bundle of goodies!  You can order the Botanical Blooms stamp set, the Botanical Gardens DSP, and the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies in a bundle and save 15%.  Don’t wait, order yours today!!
