Stampin’ Up! Jolly Friends for the Happy Stampers

Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Hi, and welcome to another Happy Stampers Blog Hop!  My share for today is using the Jolly Friends stamp set from the new Stampin’ Up!  Holiday Catalog   Just a few more days and you will be able to order all of the new goodies.  I hope you have received your new catalog so that you can make your list.

Our challenge today was to create a project using these colors:

Happy Stampers Jolly Friends

I was determined to use one of my new holiday stamp sets and Jolly Friends seemed to catch my eye.  But, you say, these are not really holiday colors!  Well, maybe I am stretching my imagination a little, but that is part of the fun, right?!

What do you  think?

JollFriendsy

I started by building my elf and his hat and scarf from Jolly Friends.  First I stamped the elf face in Soft Suede onto Whisper White Thick card stock, then added some pink to his cheeks using Pink Pirouette and a Q-tip.  Then, I fussy cut it out using my paper snips.  Next, I stamped the scarf, hat pieces and the bell.  I used Old Olive ink on the scarf and hat pieces and then filled in the spaces with my Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Write Marker.  The bell is stamped in Bermuda Bay ink.  I pulled out my Jolly Hat Builder Punch (available as a bundle to save !0% with this stamp set) and punched out the hat pieces.

Jolly Friends

For the Crumb Cake panel, I stamped the “snow” images from Jolly Friends in Versa Mark and heat embossed them with White Embossing Powder.  Next, I created the banner sentiment using one of the sentiments from Cookie-Cutter Christmas, another new stamp set in the Holiday Catalog.  It is stamped in Old Olive ink on a panel of Whisper White and punched with the Duet Banner Punch.  I also punched one in Bermuda Bay and one in Old Olive, cut them in half and adhered them to the White one with glue.

Jolly Friends

I popped my elf parts onto the front with dimensionals, added the banner sentiment with dimensionals and then added some Bermuda Bay sequins with glue dots.  This whole panel was then ready to be added to the Bermuda Bay card base (with dimensionals) that is layered with a panel of Berumda Bay from the Brights Designer Series Paper Stacks.

Jolly Friends

For the inside, I chose a sentiment from Suite Seasons, another new set found in the Holiday Catalog, and stamped it in Bermuda Bay ink.

Stampin’ Up! products used in my card will be listed at the end of my post.  But now, it’s time to see what beautiful creation Kristi has for us today!

Stampin’ Up! Suite Seasons

Today’s share is another sneak peek from the Holiday Catalog using Suite Seasons from Stampin’ Up!

Suite Seasons

I am also using some of the new Petals & Paisleys Specialty Designers Series Paper.  This paper is the bomb!  I am loving the paisley patterns and all of the colors in it too.  I used Delightful Dijon, Night of Navy and Mint Macaron card stock under the Petals and Paisleys DSP.

Suite Seasons

The sentiment is from Suite Seasons, which you can use for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas cards.  I stamped it in Rich Razzleberry ink onto a panel of Very Vanilla card stock, then die cut it with a Layering Oval Framelit die.  Then, I framed it in a little larger oval using Night of Navy card stock.  Before attaching it to the front with dimensionals, I cut a length of Mint Macaron 5/8 ” Striped Ribbon , tied a bow around it with Linen Thread and attached it with Tear & Tape adhesive.

Suite Seasons

I left the inside plain except for a strip of the Petals & Paisleys DSP attached to the bottom of the Very Vanilla panel.

Suite Seasons should be a definite addition to your wish list from the new Holiday Catalog.  There are several fonts to complete your holiday cards!

Stampin’ Up! Christmas Pines for the Happy Stampers

Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Welcome to another Happy Stampers Blog Hop. We have a sketch for you today and I am using the new Christmas Pines stamp set from Stampin’ Up! for my card.

Here is our sketch:

Happy Stampers blog Hop

I have to admit. this sketch was a little difficult for me at first, then the more I looked at it, I decided it reminded me of a Gatefold Shutter Card that I had made a while back.  So, that is what I made, using the new Christmas Pines stamp set bundle available on September 1st.

Christmas Pines

I guess if you use your imagination, you might see some of the elements of the sketch, right?  I love this new stamp set and the Pretty Pines Thinlets Dies and I know you will. too.  Of course, everything in the new catalog is awesome!!

Christmas Pines

I also used the Presents & Pinecones Designer Series Paper which coordinates with Christmas Pines.  For a tutorial to make a Gatefold Shutter Card, click HERE.  Don’t you just love the look of the pine cone?  It is made with the new Copper Foil Paper also available on September 1st.

Here is a shot with the belly band off the card:

Christmas Pines

The reason this is named a shutter card is when you open it up, it has a little shutter like a camera that opens to show your sentiment.  Mine really does open wider as it is supposed to, but I could not photograph it with one hand and open it properly with just my other hand, sorry!
Christmas Pines

I needed a compact sentiment for the inside, so I chose the Merry Christmas from Better Together.  Hope you liked my card using the new Christmas Pines and Pretty Pines Thinlets Dies.  Make sure to add them to your wish list, and get ready, because September 1st is only a few days away!

Now, let’s move on to see what Kristi has created for us today.  A list of our Happy Stampers Team is below the button.

Stampin’ Up! Better Together Birthday

My share for today is a birthday card using Better Together from Stampin’ Up!
Better Together

I haven’t really used much of the Moroccan Designer Series Paper, but thought it looked really festive for a birthday card, and I love all of the coordinating colors you can use with it!  I started with a Very Vanilla card base, then layered several panels on top of it.  I used Gold Foil, Cajun Craze, Dapper Denim and finally, Moroccan DSP.
Better Together

I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from Better Together in Dapper Denim onto a panel of Very Vanilla, then used a Layering Circle Die to cut it out.  I also stamped one of the star images from Better Together in Delightful Dijon below the sentiment.  The birthday hat was stamped in Dapper Denim and fussy cut with my Paper Snips and added with a dimensional.  Then I cut out two larger layering circles.  One in Cajun Craze and the other in Gold Foil and attached all of them with liquid glue.

Better Together

The top right corner looked a little bare, so I stamped 3 more stars in Delightful Dijon, then decided to die cut some Gold Foil stars to pop on top of the stamped stars for a little more interest.  For the stars, I used my Mini Treat Bag Thinlets dies.

Better Together

For the inside, I used more of the Moroccan DSP on the bottom, then stamped another sentiment and hat from Better Together in Dapper Denim and Delightful Dijon inks.

Thoughtful Branches Thank You Cards

Today’s share is from Thoughtful Branches, the limited time offer stamp set bundle from Stampin’ Up!  I made two Thoughtful Branches Thank You cards to show you how versatile this set is.  I love it that you can use it for any season!

Thoughtful Branches Thank You Cards

For the fall Thoughtful Branches Thank You card, I chose to use the leaf images and stamped them in Cajun Craze, Soft Suede and Crushed Curry on a panel of Whisper White.  The bottom two leaves were die cut with the Beautiful Branches Thinlets and popped onto the front with dimensionals.  The sentiment is also from Thoughtful Branches and is stamped in Soft Suede ink.

Thoughtful Branches Thank You Card

I wrapped a length of Linen Thread around the stem of the leaf and tied a bow.  My art panel is framed with a panel of Cajun Craze and then popped onto the note card front with dimensionals.   I left the inside blank for plenty of room for a note to be written.

My spring/summer Thoughtful Branches Thank You card uses one of the other images from the stamp set.  This image may be used for the trees, but I am using it as the flower heads.  My flower stems are actually the ground images!

Thoughtful Branches Thank You card

I used Blushing Bride and Wisteria Wonder for the “flower heads”  and used Wild Wasabi for the “stems” and the leaves.  I stamped the thank you sentiment from Thoughtful Branches in Wisteria Wonder and die cut it with a die from the Rose Garden Thinlets.

Both of these went together so quickly!   If you are considering purchasing this stamp set bundle, don’t delay.  I am thinking a set of Thoughtful Branches Thank You Cards would make a wonderful gift for someone, and the holidays are approaching us very soon!

Seaside Shore for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Happy Stampers Blog Hop

It’s Thursday, and we’re back for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop!  Welcome to another color challenge. I’m sharing Seaside Shore from Stampin’ Up! this week.   Here are the colors we’re all using, aren’t they lovely together?

Happy Stampers Color Challenge

Here is my Seaside Shore card:

Seaside Shore

I pulled out my By the Shore Designer Series Paper and found all of the colors for our challenge this week, so I got busy deciding just which of the papers to use!  I love all of them in this grouping, so it took a while.  I also pulled out the Seaside Textured Impressions Embossing Folder(TIEF for short) and did some dry embossing on the two patterned pieces.

Seaside Shore

My anchor and sentiment banner from Seaside Shore, were stamped in Dapper Denim onto Very Vanilla card stock and both fussy cut with Paper Snips  The fish is also from Seaside Shore and stamped in Calypso Coral on Very Vanilla and fussy cut.  Behind the banner I added some 5/8″ Mini Striped Mint Macaron ribbon, and also used the Calypso Coral Thick Baker’s Twine for the anchor line.
Seaside Shore

For the inside, I chose the other sentiment from Seaside Shore and then stamped a few of the starfish in Mint Macaron and Calypso Coral inks.

A list of the products used in making my card today will be at the end of my post.

Last Blast of Summer for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew

Amy's Inkin' Krew

Welcome to our Last Blast of Summer Blog Hop from Amy’s Inkin’ Krew!  If you live in the south, you know we have a while to go until summer is officially over, but if you have children in school already, then SUMMER IS OVER!!  I love the beach, so I had fun making this card and dreaming of my last blast of summer coming up soon….

Last Blast of Summer

I started by stamping the beach umbrella from Weather Together in Bay and Daffodil Delight onto a panel of Whisper White Thick card stock, then die cut them with the coordinating Umbrella Weather Framelits.  I also die cut the trim for the umbrella from that same set in Daffodil Delight and adhered it with liquid glue.  Next, I die cut Sunshine from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlets three times in Gold Foil and carefully glued them together with liquid glue. I die cut two of the Swirly shapes for my sun image from Swirly Scribbles

Last Blast of Summer

I just love the Serene Scenery DSP, especially the one I chose for the background for this Last Blast of Summer card!  I used the ground image from Sheltering Tree to stamp a little more sand in Crumb Cake ink for the umbrella to rest in.  So that it was not too dark, I stamped off once on scrap paper, then onto the DSP.   The Shell and Starfish images from Seaside Shore, are also stamped in Crumb Cake, but full strength and then fussy cut with my Paper Snips.

Last Blast of Summer

My swirly sun, the starfish, and Sunshine were adhered with liquid glue, the umbrella and shell with dimensionals. this panel is framed with a panel of Bermuda Bay, then popped onto the Crumb Cake card base with dimensionals.

Last Blast of Summer

The sentiment for the inside of the card is from Sunshine Sayings and is stamped in Bermuda Bay.  For the bottom of the card, I created a little more beach sand with more Crumb Cake ink using the same ground image as from the front, and added more starfish and a shell.  The Very Vanilla panel is framed in Bermuda Bay.

So, what will you do for your Last Blast of Summer?   I am headed to the beach in a few days, YEA!!

Card stock cuts in inches and Stampin’ Up! Products used will be at the end of my post.

Stampin’ Up! Cookie Cutter Christmas Peek

I just had to play with some of my goodies from the 2016 Holiday Catalog and share my Cookie Cutter Christmas Card from the Candy Cane Lane Suite today.  One extra fun part of being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator is getting to order from the new catalogs early!  Customers may order beginning on Selptember 1st, so start making your wish list early-trust me, it is going to be a long one…..

Cookie Cutter Christmas

Here is a close up of the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set and Cookie Cutter Builder Punch that can be bundled to save 10%.

Cookie Cutter Christmas

How cute is this?  The punch also coordinates with Cookie Cutter Halloween, but that is for another day..

Cookie Cutter Christmas

My card base is Real Red.  I chose the striped paper from the Candy Cane Lane DSP, and layered it on a panel of Crumb Cake with glue.  I added a Delicate White Doily to the center with glue and worked on my banners.  The largest banner is cut in Crumb Cake, then dry embossed with the Sparkle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I stamped the sentiment from the new Candy Cane Christmas stamp set in Real Red and used another banner from the Banners Framelits to die cut it, then adhered it to the larger banner with glue and glued it on top of the doily.

Here is a look at the Candy Cane lane DSP:

Cookie Cutter ChristmasCookie Cutter Christmas

Candy Cane Lane

The Gingerbread Boy is stamped in Crumb Cake onto Whisper White and punched out with the Cookie Cutter Builder punch.  I also punched out Real Red heart shaped buttons using that same punch and added them to his shirt with glue.  The candy is from Candy Cane Christmas stamped in Real Red onto Whisper White Thick card stock , fussy cut with Paper Snips, and adhered to the front with glue and dimensionals.  I made a bow with the wonderful new 3 /4″ Real Red Stitched Edge Ribbon and attached it with glue dots on the front and back and popped this panel onto the card base with dimensionals.

Here is a look at Candy Cane Lane and another peek at the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamps:

Cookie Cutter Christmas

I finished the inside of my card with a little strip of the new Candy Cane Lane Designer Washi Tape along the bottom of the Crumb Cake panel.

Cookie Cutter Christmas

I really think you should add Cookie Cutter Christmas to your wish list, I can envision so many adorable projects with this bundle, and of course, you must add Candy Cane Christmas and Candy Cane Lane DSP, and well, you get my drift!!!

Stampin’ Up! Irresistibly Floral Hello Card

Happy Saturday!  My share today is using the Irresistibly Floral Designer Series Paper as its starting point.

Irresistibly Floral

The sketch was inspired by the one this week at Pals Paper Arts,  PPA 312

PPA312

And I’m playing along with the color challenge over at Can You Case It? CYCI 131

CYCI131

I have to admit, this color theme was really a challenge for me, as I do not normally tend to use those 3 together, however, I am happy with the results.

Irresistibly floral

I chose a pattern in the Irresistibly Floral DSP pack that coordinates with the May Flowers Framelits Die I used for my flower, and sponged it in Smoky Slate.  I then framed it in a little larger panel of Basic Gray card stock, using liquid glue.  Next I die cut 3 flowers in Daffodil Delight, curled the edges a little and glued them together randomly so that they would stay together, but not lay flat.  The center is a Daffodil Delight Enamel Shape dot. The leaves were also die cut from the May Flowers Framelits in Basic Gray card stock.

Irresistibly Floral

I needed some darker ribbon than I had in my stash, so I dyed a length of White Organza Ribbon by pulling it across the Smoky Slate ink pad while holding it down with  a piece of sponge. The ink dyed it a little darker than I thought it would be, but I decided to leave it alone!  I used Tear & Tape to adhere it to the front and the back of this panel.  The Hello sentiment is from Flourishing Phrases and is stamped in Tuxedo Memento Black onto a panel of Whisper White, then die cut with the smallest Banners die.  I framed it with another small Banners die in Basic Gray card stock and popped it onto the front with dimensionals.  The Daffodil Delight Flower and Basic Gray leaves are attached with small amounts of liquid glue.

Irresistibly Floral

I used the Flourish Thinlets die to add a little banner across the bottom in Daffodil Delight.
