Stampin’ Up! Announcements

Hi Stampers.  Just wanted to pass along some Anouncements from Stampin’ Up! you will enjoy hearing about!  Here is the latest:

announcements

Do you remember the last time you received a card in the mail? In a sea of junk mail and bills, a card is a simple thing that really stands out to the person who receives it. Sending a card is a small gesture that shows just how much you care about that special someone in your life. With World Card Making Day coming up on October 1, celebrate by making and sending a handmade card to someone who could use a little recognition, love, or just a boost (which is anyone, really!).

Stampin’ Up! Sweet Home and Home Sweet Home

Today I am sharing a couple of fun projects using the Sweet Home Stamp Set and the Home Sweet Home Thinlets Dies.  Every few months, my upline, Amy, has a team meeting where the whole team (Amy’s Inkin’ Krew) gets together to discuss important Stampin’ Up! business and stamp together! These were what we made yesterday at our team meeting:

Sweet Home

Isn’t this little Sweet Home the cutest?  And, when you buy the stamp set and the thinlets together, you can save 10%.

When making the house, a great tip Amy gave us was to embellish the house pieces first while it is still flat.  Another great tip is if you are adding some candy cane strips on either side of the door as I did, make sure not to put your door and its frame too close to that side. (Ask me how I know!!)  Also, once you have decorated your Sweet Home, begin adhering it together from the top (roof) down.

Sweet Home

My Pool Party Panel was stamped first with the snow image from Christmas Pines in Pool Party ink.

The card sentiment is from Tin of Tags.  It was stamped in Versa Mark ink and heat embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.

For the snow bank, we used a die from the Swirly Scribbles Thinlets and die cut a panel of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper, then glued it to the Pool Party card stock.

A list of all of the products used in creating the projects will be at the bottom of my post.  (And a little surprise, too)

Stampin’ Up! Suite Seasons Christmas Card

Today’s share is another Christmas Card, and I am using the Suite Seasons stamp set.  I know we haven’t even gotten to October yet, but the Christmas crunch will sneak up on us quickly, thus the need to get a few cards done ahead of time! Do you also find that once September is over, the mad rush toward the end of the year is sometimes overwhelming?

Back to my Suite Seasons card…..

suite seasons

I am playing along with the sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches.

freshly made sketches

My card base is Very Vanilla. I cut a panel from This Christmas Specialty DSP and adhered it to a little larger panel of Garden Green with liquid glue.  I inked up Merry Everything, happy always, from Suite Seasons, using Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green Stampin’ Write Markers and stamped it onto a panel of Very Vanilla.

suite seasons

I adhered a panel of Cherry Cobbler to the DSP layer, then cut a length of 3/8″ Cherry Cobbler Taffeta Ribbon and adhered it to the front and back with Tear & Tape adhesive.   The sentiment is popped onto the Cherry Cobbler panel with dimensionals, and I made a small bow that is tied up with Cherry Cobbler Baker’s Twine and a sprig of holly from the Christmas Trinkets Embellishments pack.  Everything was then ready to go onto the base with more dimensionals.

suite seasons

For the inside sentiment, I inked up a stamp from Wonderful Year with my Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green Markers and stamped it on to a panel of Very Vanilla.  The bottom has a strip of another one of the papers in the This Christmas Specialty DSP pack adhered to it with liquid glue.

Love & Congrats for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Welcome to another Thursday and the Happy Stampers Blog Hop.  We’re here to share some of our ideas with you to get your creative juices flowing!  Today, I’m sharing a wedding card full of Love & Congrats, compliments of the Sunshine Sayings stamp set and Sunshine Wishes Thinlets Dies from Stampin’ Up!  (Bundle and save 10%-Yes!)

Here are the colors we had to work with.  Pretty, right?  Why not see what you can create with these….

Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Here is what I came up with:

Love & Congrats

First, I stamped some “grunge” from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set onto a panel of Mint Macaron.  I inked up the stamp with Mint Macaron and stamped it off onto a piece of scrap paper before actually stamping it onto my card. Then, I adhered that panel onto a panel of Rich Razzleberry with liquid glue.

Love & Congrats

My next task was to create the sentiment, so I die cut three Rich Razzleberry Congrats, using the die from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlets.  I like to die cut several so that the letters pack a little more punch on the card.  They were adhered with my Fine Tip Glue Pen (just small dots).  The hearts were also die cut with Sunshine Wishes Thinlets.  I cut four of them and created 2 hearts for the front, adhering again with the Fine Tip Glue Pen.  Once I decided where all of the die cuts would go, I adhered them to the front of the double layered panel.  Notice that the heart on the right is not glued totally down, it is only attached where the two hearts touch at the bottom.

Love & Congrats

The flower images were created with the Jar of Love Bundle, and I used Rich Razzleberry, Mint Macaron and Delightful Dijon inks on a panel of Whisper White, then die cut them.  Also included in the Everyday Jars Framelits is a die that created those small white hearts I used as accents.  Some of the flowers are adhered directly to the front, while a few are popped on with dimensionals.  A length of Rich Razzleberry ribbon was adhered with Tear & Tape, and then the panel was popped onto the Whisper White Thick Cardstock base with dimensionals.

Now for the Love portion to my Love & Congrats card:

Love & Congrats

I searched and searched my stamps and finally found Wishing you on a stamp in the Suite Sayings set that was really meant as an Easter sentiment!  I just taped off the part I did not want to stamp, used my Stampin’ Write marker on the words I wanted, and stamped!  A Lifetime Of is from Sunshine Sayings, and the love part of Love & Congrats is another die from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlets.

Now it’s time to head over to see what Kristi has created today.  Just click on the forward arrow.  A list of our Happy Stampers is listed below in case you want to “hop” around again.

Stampin’ Up! Festive Birthday

I’m sharing a festive birthday card today using the Stylized Birthday stamp from Stampin’ Up!  I also got some help from the Festive Birthday Designer Series Paper!

Festive Birthday

I love this fun new Happy Birthday stamp as it is large and has a great font!  It is perfect for making a quick sentiment that packs a lot of punch.

festive birthday

I started by stamping Happy Birthday in Melon Mambo onto a panel of Whisper White, then die cut it using a Layering Square Framelits Die.  Then I made a slightly larger frame for it with Melon Mambo cardstock and a scalloped die from the same set.  They were adhered with liquid glue.

festive birthday

I cut a panel from the Festive Birthday DSP to fit onto the front of the Crushed Curry card base and glued it to the front. Then, I cut a strip of Tempting Turquoise for the narrow band and dry embossed it with the Lucky Stars Textured Embossing Folder.  It was then glued on top of the Festive Birthday panel.  I popped the sentiment panel on with dimensionals and then added the Enamel Shapes.

festive birthday

For the inside, I layered panels of Melon Mambo and Whisper White onto the Crushed Curry base.  Then, I stamped the sentiment from Better Together in Melon Mambo ink.  A thin panel of the same Festive Birthday DSP was added to the bottom, and there you have it, a quick and festive birthday card!

Stampin’ Up! Jolly Friends Moose!

My share today is from Jolly Friends, and I am showcasing the Moose stamp.  Each of the characters in this stamp set is adorable, but I especially like this Jolly Moose!

Moose

My sketch was inspired by the one at Freshly Made Sketches.  FMS254

fms-final-254-001

I started by dry embossing a Whisper White card stock panel with the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  The embossed panel was adhered to the Whisper White card base with liquid glue.

Moose

Next, I concentrated on Mr. Moose.  The Moose image, from Jolly Friends, is stamped in Early Expresso ink onto Kraft Cardstock.  I then fussy cut him out with Paper Snips.  The main part of the hat is stamped in Real Red onto Whisper White and punched out with the Jolly Hat Builder Punch.  I punched a scrap of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper for the pom-pom and band of the hat.  The scarf is Real Red stamped onto Whisper White and fussy cut out.

Moose

Two long strips of Designer Series Paper were added to the front of the card with liquid glue.  Then, I die cut a scalloped square of Emerald Envy card stock with one of the Layering Squares Framelits Dies and popped it onto the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added the scarf to the square with glue, then popped the moose and his hat just above the scarf with dimensionals.  The Merriest Wishes sentiment is from the stamp set with the same name.  It is stamped in Emerald Envy and die cut with the banner from the Gift Card Envelope and Thinlets Dies.  The second Real Red banner is attached to the sentiment banner with a glue dot.  The little star is from the Metallic Enamel Shapes.

moose

To complete the inside of the card, I added a panel of the emerald envy polka dot DSP onto the card base with liquid glue.  Then I  stamped the sentiment from Tin of Tags in Real Red  onto a Whisper White panel that had  a strip of Candy Cane Lane Washi Tape added to the bottom.  This panel was attached then with liquid glue.

Stampin’ Up! products used in making my card are at the end of the post.

Stampin’ Up! Monochromatic Flourish Sympathy

Today’s share is another sympathy card-I know, not fun, but necessary!  This one is monochromatic, using the Flourishing Phrases stamp set and Flourish Thinlets Dies, and Night of Navy.

Monochromatic sympathy

The monochromatic theme of my card is from this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge #65.  Why not check it out and play along, too?

Monochromatic Flourish

I started with a Whisper White Thick card base and added a slightly smaller panel of Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper to it with liquid glue.  Next, I worked on the art panel.

Monochromatic Sympathy

To keep the monochromatic theme going, I die cut two shapes from the Flourish Thinlets Dies in Night of Navy card stock.  Because I wanted to break up the Whisper White panel some, I inked up the Splatter stamp from Gorgeous Grunge in Night of Navy, stamped it off once onto a scrap of paper, then stamped onto my card stock.  Glue was added to the border die cut panel with my Fine Tip Glue Pen and attached to the bottom of the panel.  I adhered the art panel onto a panel of Night of Navy with liquid glue.

Using some more of the Whisper White, I stamped With Sympathy, from Flourishing Phrases, in Night of Navy, then die cut with a Layering Oval Die.  It is framed with a little larger scallop Layering Oval Die.

Monochromatic Sympathy

Next, I placed the sentiment oval onto the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensional.  I adhered that Flourish flower with glue from the Fine Tip Glue Pen, not gluing the entire piece flat to the front. Then, I tied a double bow with Night of Navy Baker’s Twine and attached it with a glue dot.  Three Pearls Basic Jewels were added before popping the focal panel onto the front of the card with dimensionals.  The inside was left free of a sentiment, just a little DSP was added to the bottom of the Whisper White Panel.  (you can see it peeking out in the picture above)

Monochromatic sympathy

Since very little stamping was done on the card, I decorated the envelope with a stamp from Flourishing Phrases to complete the monochromatic challenge!

Stampin’ Up! Products used for my project will be at the end of my post

Wonderful Year for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Stampers Blog Hop, where I am sharing Wonderful Year from Stampin’ Up!   We’re glad you stopped in to “hop” around to all of our blogs.  Today, we have a sketch challenge, why don’t you play along, too?

Happy Stampers sketch challenge

Wonderful Year

I started with a panel of Whisper White for the card base.  Next, I adhered a panel of Presents & Pinecones Designer Series Paper to a panel of Emerald Envy with liquid glue.  This is my go-to adhesive because it is forgiving-meaning it will allow you to wiggle your card stock a little if you haven’t placed it as straight as you wanted to at first!

I love the large sentiments in Wonderful Year, perfect for the season.  I really thought of coloring my stamp with my Stampin’ Write Markers to give it some depth, but for a quick and easy card, one color does the trick.  I used Cherry Cobbler and stamped it on a panel of Whisper White, then gave it a frame with some Emerald Envy card stock.

Wonderful Year

I made a bow with my Bow Builder Punch, using some Cherry Cobbler card stock and Cherry Cobbler striped paper from the Regals Designer Series Paper Stack. Before adding the bow to the front of my card, I added a strip of Cherry Cobbler card stock to the left side with liquid glue.  The bow is attached with Mini Glue Dots.  I then popped on the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals and added one Metallic Enamel Shape star.

Wonderful Year

The inside sentiment from Wonderful Year was inked with Cherry Cobbler and Emerald Envy Stampin’ Write Markers, huffed on a couple of times, and stamped onto the Whisper White card stock panel.  I added some more of the striped Cherry Cobbler DSP and three Metallic Enamel Shapes stars before adhering this panel onto the card base.

Card stock cuts in inches and Stampin’ Up! Products used will be listed at the end of my post.

Fall for Petals & Paisleys

Amy's Inkin' Krew Blog Hop

Thanks for stopping by for our Fall/Halloween Blog Hop!  I decided to create a Fall card using the Paisleys and Posies stamp set and the Paisley Framelits Dies Bundle for my share today. We are finally getting some beautiful fall weather and I know the leaves will be changing soon.  This Petals & Paisleys Designer Series Paper reminds me of those Fall leaves!

Fall

This card came together very quickly, too!  I started with  a Delightful Dijon card base, and layered a panel of Mint Macaron card stock on top with liquid glue.  Next, I cut a panel of the beautiful Petals & Paisleys Designer Series Paper and layered it onto a little larger panel of Very Vanilla.  Then it was time for some stamping and die cutting!

Fall

I inked up the sentiment from Paisleys & Posies in Versa Mark onto a panel of Very Vanilla, and sprinkled it with Gold Embossing Powder, then heat embossed it. It is die cut with a Layering Oval Die, then framed with a little larger Mint Macaron scalloped Oval Die.  I pulled out some Gold Foil card stock and the “leaf” shaped die from the Paisley Framelits Dies and die cut 2.  Burlap Ribbon was adhered to the DSP layers with Tear & Tape adhesive, then I popped that layer onto the card base.  Some Delightful Dijon and Mint Macaron 3/8″ Ribbon and Gold Sequin Trim are tied to the leaves with Gold Baker’s Twine and attached to the sentiment and then popped onto the front with dimensionals.

Fall

The inside sentiment is also from Paisleys & Posies and again, stamped in Versa Mark ink and Gold Embossing Powder.  A strip of Gold Foil lines the strip of Petals & Paisleys Specialty DSP  at the bottom of the Very Vanilla inside panel.

Supplies will be listed at the bottom of my post.
